Salaam, alot of Sunni Muslims here (UK) want people to abide by Shariah Law, at least have shariah law as their law. Do Shia Muslims feel the same? -Because I know Shia Islam is different to Sunni Islam.
Also, would the muslims here (Free-Minds) who try to live their lives by the Qur'an only, want 'Quranic Law' as the 'law of the land'?
I'm sick of people thinking that ALL muslims want Shariah Law and not understanding that, to my knowledge, it is mainly Hadith based and has little to do with God and the Qur'an.
Sorry for all the questions. Please share your thoughts on this. Thanks.

Shariah sucks tbh, and the law is good as it is, don't expect politicians of big and modern countries to become hardcore muslims. Traditional muslims's laws are awfull, and even if politicians became quranists they would be killed by bukharists.

            Salaam,

What the religious have created in the name of Islam is a travesty, and the pinnacle of that travesty is the lies of Sharia law, a Christian/Jewish concoction have nothing or little to do with the Qur?an. Islam demands the natural/common law of the land, we are universally denied the law and forced to suffer under legislation created by the accumulated wealth elite, to subjugate and exploit the masses for their own accumulation of the fruits of their labour.

Natural/common law is sharia, and anything beyond that simple structure is under signed consent, within a witnessed and binding local community contract.

Q Assalamualaikum, dear Radio Al-Madina, What's the difference between western secular law and sharia law?
A Walaikumsalam, dear audience, the western secular law is the worst law ever invented, in western secular law, man exploit another man, in sharia law it's the opposite.

"Sharia Law" is purely a 'political concept / dogma / propaganda'...
And just like other political concept / dogma / propaganda, people are being brainwashed by it..
The people are being constantly brainwashed to 'support sharia', albeit they themselves had no idea on 'what is sharia'...

Many Muslims are so caught up in regulation of every little thing aren't they. How do they miss that we are given freedom to choose and that is a clue that we don't need to regulate every step we take.

As long as "The Muslims" view Islam as a Religion, and keep listening to their Imams/Mullahs and follow their 'fatwas', they will be forever stuck in the dark ages. Most of the so called muslims see Sharia as the solution to the "secular/capitalist system" with all its contradictions and failings, but in reality where sharia law is implemented, is far worse than other man made laws. The only solution to this problem is for the sincere muslims with sound understanding of the Qur'an, good working knowledge of politics and economics as well a good grasp of history to show leadership and help bring the muslims out of their ignorance of the Qur'an.

                  Peace

People still believe everything they hear, and specially frensh/arab dictionnaries

Never in the quran, was said Juge by the Charia , not only once
Every time , in the quran, it is said Juge with "Allah" , what "Allah" descended , what been given fron "Allah" and still, they don't realise that Allah translate LAW , in frensh LA LOI

Charia = Charter (English) = Charte (frensh) = Carta (spanish)
Allah = The LAW (english) = La Loi (frensh) = Ley (spanish)

I'll explain to my understanding, in English , Allah = The law , the only law of what exist, The Law of nature and existance revealed to the prophets in the book what is the Law, so now people realise that nothing is like him and no one can see him because he is all the law that exist of the world and beyong, by Applying (allah) the Law as our Law , we be united with the whole existance and beyong and The LAW will be pleased with us and we will propsper in everything , perfection.

ALLAH is a key word to be understood for muslims ( assumers ) following the Deen (Due) we owe for the LAW for creating us and giving us self awareness.
to understand what Allah mean, you have to put in mind, that before the 50's every single muslim country was under the rule of the enemies of the book, so they had all the power to alter the arabic language, and create specially and in the same time ( HADITHS and the OLD TESTAMENT ) both written in the 18th century.

I know most people would want to abide by laws they believe in. Most people just don?t want to be subjugated to things they don?t believe in.

I?m sick of people thinking shariah law is all evil or even mainly based on hadith. It?s mainly to do with fatwas and reasoning?s made up by scholars.

There are good things in systems and bad things.

Let me give an example.. muslims at a time had a system of feeding poor they called it bayt elmaal. Today society calls it social security.

In terms of marriage, a woman is entitled to what is agreed upon based on mahr, circumstance (divorce/widow ? maintenance) in current law she reaps more in divorce esp. if he has assets.

In shariah law you don?t pay interests.

Shariah law isn?t pure evil. Today?s society wasn?t built on nothing. values were taken from societies and established. The society we live in isn?t a totaly western inspiration.

it seems the ideal society is in laalaa land where everyone dreams

                      peace.

                        Salaam Sarah,
You do not understand the law, it is simple; you have no right to impose your views, or ideas upon any other by force of arms or threats of punitive retribution, just as I have no right to impose any of my views upon you.
This means you cannot impose your Sharia legislation upon me, or anyone else under the law, as it would be an encroachment upon the individual. You can not impose a contract, which is what a statute is in basis, upon any man/woman without them being a direct party to the contract, as any obligations above the base of law, are through contract.
The law of the land is universal, all courts are required to up hold the law of the land, but none do.
The question you should be asking yourself is; why are so many beyond the reach of the courts?
A solider can murder with impunity, a politician can pay psychopathic mercenaries, with stolen tax revenue to go to Libya and murder, destroy and maim without accountability. A sovereign can steal the resources of Allah, hoarding them, preventing the people from accessing the bounty of Allah, while being protected by legislation created by the sovereign themselves, to allow themselves to steal, murder, subjugate and control.
The law is never applied, they hide the law.
The law holds every man/woman as equal in sight of the law, yet these parasites, murderers and thieves function without let or hindrance, you sadly support this fraud, that's something you should reflect upon, as you are accountable for what you propagate.

                          Salam

i'm not imposing any law on anyone.

                          no compulsion in deen remember?

                          Explain "laws of the land?"

you don't know what i support. so refrain from making conclusions.

In regards to the part about Shias, isn't it true that they don't believe the Sharia can be implemented without an Imam (who is the only one truly able to successfully be a spiritual and political leader of the Muslims)? Therefore they are kind of in limbo until the return of the final Imam, at least for twelvers anyway. Because of this they don't have a full legal system until the advent of Imam Mahdi, unlike the Sunnis who's jurisprudential system was formed quite early on and solidified through the concept of ijma (which shias don't favour, they prefer and still very much rely on ijtihad). Shias follow particular scholars who make certain legal rulings using ijtihad however as far as I'm aware don't particularly call for Sharia, not as it is known by Sunnis anyway, because their view of it is much different. Also taking into account that legal rulings in Sunni Islam are also informed by the sunnah from Sunni sources - these sources are by and large rejected by Shias and shia jurists.

In fact, it's a bit easier than this, I think.
The difference is that, under Sharia, usury is illegal.

That is where the big schism lies.

                                      Salaam Abdun Nur

i'm not trying to say what my position is or what an ideal society is.

do you agree with nothing that exists in today's society?

to say i'm supporting existing frauds is your own conclusion based on nothing. no where have i said "i agree with corruption" nor alluded to it.. today's society is overly praised hence my comment. try refraining from assumptions if you feel i'm not clear you can simply ask for clarifications.

                                      peace.

In fact, it's a bit easier than this, I think.
The difference is that, under Sharia, usury is illegal.

Q Assalamualaikum, dear Radio Al-Madina, What's the difference between western economy and sharia economy?
A Walaikumsalam, dear audience, the western economy is the worst economy ever invented, in western economy, man exploit another man through usury, in sharia economy it's the opposite.

                                          Salam and Peace!

                                          Your signature says below

The Arabs (al-arabu) are the worst in rejection and hypocrisy, and more likely not to know the limits of what God has sent upon His messenger
                                          997

But it is again the Arabs, who were the Sahaba of the Prophet and they were rightly guided, and Allah announced in His Exalted Quran that these Sahaba are forgiven, and as a proof they were given the Khilafah of the earth.

Never forget The Fall of "The Great Persian Super Power" at the hands of the rightly guided Sahabas.

If the Messenger had been born in Persia, in the Verse there would have been Persians, instead of Arab.

-----"That was a nation (the Messengers, their companions) which has passed away. For them is that which they earned, and for you is that which you earn. And you will not be asked of what they used to do." (Al-Baqarah-134)

So, we should take care of ourselves.

Allah will not ask who was Ali, Fatimah, Abu Baka, Umar, Hasan, Hussain, Abu Huraira, etc.-----No, not at all.

Allah Himself has stopped us from establishing any type of relations with those people.-----" And you will not be asked of what they used to do." (Al-Baqarah-134)

Did you see, how Al-Quran clears our non-Quranic concepts about Deen???
