Could you please restate/ provide links to "how it is evident from the quran and even looking at remains of earlier scriptures from God" ?
    Will appreciate very much.

highly ecommend reading Hayim H Donin's book To pray as a Jew A guide to the prayer book.

and you will also see the similarities between jewish traditions and hadiths.

I know how some people feel about wikipedia but here it is

Jewish prayer (Hebrew , tefill?h; plural Hebrew , tefillos or tefill?t; Yiddish tf?le, plural tf?lles; Yinglish davening from Yiddish davnen ?to pray?) are the prayer recitations that form part of the observance of Judaism. These prayers, often with instructions and commentary, are found in the siddur, the traditional Jewish prayer book.
Traditionally, three prayer services are recited daily
Shacharit or Shaharit (&#1514, from the Hebrew shachar or shahar (&#1512 "morning light,"
Mincha or Minha (&#1492, the afternoon prayers named for the flour offering that accompanied sacrifices at the Temple in Jerusalem,
    Arvit (&#1514 or Ma'ariv (&#1489, from "nightfall."

      I understand you,
but it is not about time, it is just about truth. As you know majority agree with contact prayers, but not with another option like it could be not contact prayer. while both parts has own proof.
As you say u would believe, when the belief is no more in need. It is just right and wrong issue.

I invite you to study the word salat, if you want so.

But its very important that we understand the Koranic persuasion based upon how the community understands it and not how we as individuals understand it or expect it to be. I say this because in the end that is what people will follow. Right now the Koranic persuasion is led by pioneers and self reliant individuals. But soon the masses will flock. When that happens they will simply follow what there is a consensus upon.

The reality is most Koranist have an understanding of what salat is. They differ as to when and how it should be done but there is a general agreement that it should be done daily, consistently in a timely manner, that it requires some form of praise and glorification, that is requires some form of standing, bowing, prostrating and kneeling, that it requires humility and that it requires a verbal communication with not too loud of a sound or absolute silence, and that a person should not be dirty and unhygenic when he or she is performing it and it must be done with sincerity and that he should be conscious and concentrating and that it can be done individually or collectively and that it is an absolute must for a believer and it must be done for God only and to gain His favor and support.

This consensus is based on how the Koran sees it and how the previous scriptures sees it and how mankind saw it throught history and now. Its a consensus among mankind.

        Have you read the Qur'an?

Yes. And that's not a valid answer. Please answer my question.

I don't think there's two meaning of worship, by worship I mean worship, simply worship. Where does Allah ask us to do that in the Quran?

I looked over http//www.free-minds.org/salat just a few minutes ago. So I'm curious as to what you all think about the three daily prayers vs five. I'm under the impression that there are five, and I practice five daily - http//www.submission.info

So is it three or five?

Edit Sorry, gave you all the wrong website address. I corrected it ^^^^^^^^^^^^^^^.

              IMHO
The name of each prescribed Salaah would mentioned.
              and they are.
              "Salaah tul Fajr" (245
              "Salaah tul Ishaa" (245
              "Salaah tul Wusta" (223

No other "Salaah tul" anything is mentioned.
              No guessing. Just clear instruction.

3, 5, 10, 300 DAILY PRAYERS? WHO IS GOING TO CONVINCE YOU? WILL YOU FOLLOW THEM?
Is prayer/connection to GOD a private or public matter? What is more important?

4210 If you dispute any part of this message, the judgement for doing this rests with GOD. Such is GOD my Lord. In HIM I trust and to HIM I submit.?

( You are responsible for your own decision? Do you want to follow blindly? Or check for yourself? What is the message?)

4213 HE ( GOD) decreed for you the same religion decreed for Noah and what We inspired to you and what We decreed for Abraham, Moses and Jesus? You shall uphold this one religion and do not divide it.? The idol worshippers will greatly resent what you are inviting them to do. GOD redeems to Himself only those who totally submit.?

( One religion, not many! Man made stuff is called here ? idol worship? -following others- nothing to do with what GOD decreed!)

4214 Ironically, they broke up into sects only after the knowledge had come to them, due to jealousy among themselves. ( Mine is better than yours?!) Indeed the later generations who inherited the scripture ( Jews. Christians, Muslims, etc?.) are full of doubts.?

4215 This is what you shall preach ( Submission and loyalty to GOD ALONE!) and steadfastly maintain what you are commanded to do, ( Do not follow man-made stuff!) and do not follow their wishes??

4221 They follow idols who decree for them religious laws never authorised by GOD!?

Try your creator. He guides to the truth. It is between you and your creator?

652 Do not dismiss those who implore their Lord day and night, (Asking their creator to help them decide in this life!) devoting themselves to HIM ALONE.( They are not wasting your time!) You are not responsible for their reckoning, nor are they responsible for your reckoning.( It is their own time!) If you dismiss them, ( You are being unfair!) you will be a transgressor.?

( Freedom of choice! You are responsible only for you! ( Once you reach the age of responsibility?) The decision to believe or disbelieve is yours! to pray as many times as you are guided to do. You cannot blame anyone else? Check and prove all things, or follow others ,or do not bother to do anything? Will anyone else be accountable for you?)
                      Your creator has your answer.
                      In peace.

You are wasting your time. He is a 14 year old boy who only follows the un-Quranic theologies of Abdun Nur. He doesn't believe in ANY translation except one created by that guy and he has only (mis)translated/fabricated less than 10% of the Quran. He is not even going by anything the Quran actually says so you are wasting your time asking him to give his evidence for his beliefs.

                                Salat =/= daily prayers.
Daily prayers are worship, but they're not Islamic

Do you give thanks to God? Do you mention His name before eating? Do you repent to Him? Do you ask forgiveness from Him?

These are all simple examples of acts of worship and are all mentioned in the Quran for those who acknowledge God.

                                    In peace.

The problem is here is the definition of idol worship. There seems to be a very simplistic udnerstanding of idol worship and shirk. People equate veneration with idol worship. This clouds many people's ideas about what shirk is. I have noticed this. In a way this is expected since shirk vanished from the Arab world and so many peope may not have an idea what shirk is.

Its important that we first study what shirk is, something I have not seen here. There is no study of pagan theology and ancient religions or even Arab paganism done. There are certain assumptions made about what shirk is.

Yet if you research yu will discover shirk is something totally different than what many think. This is why the Koran does not forgive shirk. Shrik is a theology based on one important distinction with monotheism. In shirk theology, existence came before god and god emerged from that existence and therefore god is confined. God in shirk is not beyong nature but is confined by its laws. God and gods in shirk are created and are born and can die and reborn. They are under the same restrictions as humans are. They are in essense exagerated human beings.

Do you give thanks to God? Do you mention His name before eating? Do you repent to Him? Do you ask forgiveness from Him?

These are all simple examples of acts of worship and are all mentioned in the Quran for those who acknowledge God.

Sorry but I only follow the Quran with good translations not pseudo bible Quran

You are wasting your time. He is a 14 year old boy who only follows the un-Quranic theologies of Abdun Nur. He doesn't believe in ANY translation except one created by that guy and he has only (mis)translated/fabricated less than 10% of the Quran. He is not even going by anything the Quran actually says so you are wasting your time asking him to give his evidence for his beliefs.

Well one thing i have to give to him is that I wish when I was 14 that I actually cared about religious issues and the Koran like he does. Man, I think that was the last thing on my mind. I was into sports and movies. I would not even have bothered in a forum like this. But then again in my time there was no internet so who knows. But he is starting young so that is a big plus for him.

I wonder if anyone has done any research on 'shirk' (thru the quran), similar to what has been done on other terms such as 'salat' or 'jinn'. I mean, since shirk is the only unforgivable sin, then one would think it would be possible to have it defined from the quran through a thorough study. Not just a verse or two... but through cross referencing etc a la the many salat-studies.

                                          Peace and Cheers
