Can shaytan take on a human form acording to Qur'an?

234 We said to the angels, "Submit to Adam," so they submitted except for Iblis, he refused and became arrogant, and became of the ingrates.

2695 Wajunoodu ibleesa ajmaAAoonaFact #1 ALL arabic references of Iblis point to the satan that lived during Adam's time. Every single use of the word in the Quran.
Rajm (meaning expulsion) is used to describe Shaytan .
The Quran describes Satan with the word RaJyM (336; 1517; 1534; 1698; 3877; 8125).
Note Sura 3877 He said, "Therefore exit from it, you are outcast." (Iblees)
Shaytan and Ibles are used differently in the Quran. It is my view that Shaytan is a general term , it's more like a title or nickname given to Iblees. Iblees on the other hand is the REAL name of the Shaytan that existed during Adam's time.
Notice the simlarities between Satan and Iblees....
5819 The devil has overtaken them, and has caused them to forget the remembrance of God. These are the party of the devil (iz'bu l-shayni) . Absolutely, the party of the devil are the losers.

Iblees aka Satan. Iblees is the real name. Satan is general name which he is referred too by many.

We can get carried away by the manufacturing of consent (brainwashing) we are the victims of from Catholicism to Hollywood and movies like The Exorcist...
We can also look at human folklore records and the persistent recount of non human entities visiting people and villages in remote areas in the world...
There is also the complex subject of magic and charms which the Quran validates with the two Angels Harut and Marut, and with the Surah Ch 113 of the Quran...
However in the Quran, the Jinns (Undetectable Plasma Beings? or maybe Beings resonating at out of range frequencies for our senses to detect? - latter one is David Icke idea, though he thinks they are beings from other planets) and Inns (humans) are always separately addressed, as the Quran mainly addresses humans, it also addresses Jinns, and it does so separately, or as companions in mischief...
As companions is interesting, and it means they can develop an interface of some sort, Jinn to Humans and Humans to Jinns...
There is nice ayats in Surat Al Rahman (Ch 55) that show eloquently that the Jinn are separate entities from us

An important question that has been puzzling me is why do the Jinns not communicate with us liberally, after all there are some who are Muslims?
I have a hypothesis, and might share it...
As for me, I do get visited in my dreams from time to time by an evil jinn, and maybe some good ones... the reason I say that is that I taught myself to remember my dreams (it works, though not systematically)... and when the evil entity takes over a dream, which is usually in a very alien setting, reading ayat alkursee gets rid of it...
as for the good ones, I know they are good... with a pleasant or familiar setting... and there is one that often appears to me as my deceased mother, in a very realistic fashion... that is unless I am communicating with my dead mother, which is also possible, as Allah in the Quran says that this Quran can allow you to communicate with the dead...and Allah knows...

And (as for) those who disbelieve, there will not cease to afflict them because of what they do a repelling calamity, or it will alight close by their abodes, until the promise of Allah comes about; surely Allah will not fail in (His) promise.Is this perhaps the verse you are referring to?

and Allah knows...I have had one dream where I died in it, floated up into a golden light, and communicated with God (it really wasn't conversation... just this deep understanding phenomena thing that it was not my time to die yet and that I must leave that peaceful place and return to the world), then returned alive to the dream for a short while longer before waking. A few months later I bacame a vegetarian after fasting for 72 hours straight.
Also had a dream where an angel (a white luminous being floating in the air - only saw the illumination, no wings, feet, face, hands, etc., and no name for it was mentioned) came to me at the end of it to warn me (after I flew up beside it, it spoke) that the devil was behind me (i.e. it had been following me - and when I turned around to see, the shock of the monster I saw woke me from the dream/vision.

I think it's that dreaded wisper from jinn/shaytan that caused him to kill himself, just like it has in the past inspired many others to commit suicide, but to mention this to people in the UK would be to court the label of 'lunatic'.

BlackStone, good for you... and it could have several interpretations... only one who is versed and blessed in the interpretation like Prophet Yusef could give you that...
IMHO, Magic has of course been forbidden the Muslims, and this is part of the argument I have which makes it extremely hard, next to impossible for Muslim Jinns and Humans to initiate contact, as a lot of magic is induced by Jinn interventions (Magic for some is just reality or day to day routine for others, even trans-dimensional or trans-modal manifestations)...
As for the subject of killing the self, I do not find the clear cut evidence in the Quran that it is forbidden... killing others without justice yes, but Allah advises those of the Israelites who transgressed to wish for death and even kill themselves and that this will be better in the face of their Nourishers than carrying on blaspheming and transgressing... so there might be extreme cases where someone can take his life if carrying on living is a liability to him and to Allah's... and Allah knows...
Of course this should not be taken as license to kill oneself for any other reason than to protect oneself from blasphemy, transgression and idolatry... etc.

I find such interpretations weird. I mean the using of Qur'an as medium to speak to the dead.
3669 And We did not teach him poetry, nor does he need it. This is a reminder and a clear Qur'an.
3670 To warn those who are alive, and so that the retribution will be deserved by the rejecters.I mean, one could go throughout the entire Qur'an and note down all the things that the Qur'an is there for. I have never found such suggestions. Infact, whatever I have learnt so far goes against the dead being conscious to communicate with me. I thought that dead people were dead until resurrection. Now the dead has to be alive till resurrection which doesn't make any logical sense. Probably theNabster meant it in some other way.

To deny oneself life and to cut short the life, given by Allah swt, is a grievous sin and to despair is also a sin advocated by satan/jinn. As for the Israelites, as I understand it, they were told that the sin of killing themselves would be a lesser sin than what they were doing and thus preferable. Similarly Allah swt has declared that 'persecution is worse than killing'.

Let us not be alarmed, bouncing off ideas and testing one's understanding is my way of handling things...
that being said, every thing is being done through Allah's leave, even the simple day to day ones...
and Isa ressurected the dead, which is even more "fantastic" than communicating to them... again through Allah's leave...
besides not all dead are dead actually, as martyrs are alive within Allah's "domain", which Allah emphasises in several ayats to do with battles...
As for those who kill themselves off, IMHO, Allah will decide...

When I said that Satan lives inside each one of us, I wasn't expecting some to believe that it meant to be taken literally.
My main point is that since the reality of us Humans isn't physical, the part that originated from God is eternal and this is similar to the concept of Satan, he is not a physical entity.And the whisper that God tells us about in the Quran actually happens in our head..
When I talked about thinking I also didn't mean all thoughts or the idea of thoughts..But just for a second think about it, how can someone acts in an evil way if he didn't have evil thoughts to begin with?
This is the reason why we are supposed to always be in contact with God through remembrance.
4336 And whoever turns away from the remembrance of the Almighty, We appoint a devil to be his associate.

Mentioning Quran Verse isn't in itself a proof, this is the same method used by "Bukhrist"..
The Quran is still misunderstood and mistranslated and anyone can use its verses to his own advantage.So I just hope that there's a room for debate even without using the Quran, and please without naming you .. you know who you are...your insults are Satan driven.. and before you write a reply as a reaction just remember Satan could be the one dictating them to you..
