72 virgins

I can't remember but do we have any verse in the Koran talking about men getting 72 virgins in paradise? And if not then what are 7or Ein? I can't remember if those ones were in the Koran too or not. Unfortunately for me, the Hadith and the Koran have started blending into one another.

And there?s no verse of the Quran mention that, only Hadith
The concept of 72 virgins in Islam refers to an aspect of paradise. In a collection by Imam at-Tirmidhi in his "Sunan" (Volume IV, Chapters on "The Features of Heaven as described by the Messenger of Allah", chapter 21 "About the Smallest Reward for the People of Heaven", hadith 2687) and also quoted by Ibn Kathir in his Tafsir (Qur'anic Commentary) of Surah Quran 5572, it is stated
It was mentioned by Daraj Ibn Abi Hatim, that Abu al-Haytham 'Adullah Ibn Wahb narrated from Abu Sa'id al-Khudhri, who heard Muhammad saying, 'The smallest reward for the people of Heaven is an abode where there are eighty thousand servants and seventy-two houri, over which stands a dome decorated with pearls, aquamarine and ruby, as wide as the distance from al-Jabiyyah to San'a.
Authenticity
Regarding the above statement, Hafiz Salahuddin Yusuf has said "The narration, which claims that everyone would have seventy-two wives has a weak chain of narrators." There is also a theory that the promise of 72 virgins is a mistranslation from "72 white grapes".
Alternative views
Margaret Nydell states that mainstream Muslims regard this belief about 72 virgins in the same way that mainstream Christians regard the belief that after death they will be issued with wings and a harp, and walk on clouds, however, nowhere in the Bible does it mention anything about wings, harp, walk on clouds in contrast to the quote from Muhammed.
Another interpretation of the relevant passages of the Qur'an is The Syro-Aramaic Reading Of The Qur'an written by Christoph Luxenberg. In respect of this particular point, Luxenberg argues that the relevant passage actually translates to a portrayal of paradise as a lush garden with pooling water and trees with rare fruit, including white raisins (considered to be delicacies at the time that the Qur'an was written), not virgin maidens, although this claim has been heavily contested on linguistic grounds.[
From wikipedia but gives a light on the issue jedi

made a mistake its not this "that Huris are not female but male genre"
I meant to say the word is plurall.
Seeing that the noun used ("hur" is the plural form for both the masculine and feminine, that the nature of the human being in Heaven is one of purity and beauty beyond knowing.
Huris are not "Sexual prize/compensation" of afterlife.JAfar, and sorry for big mistake...what a word can change..sorry for giving you 72 male virgin it wasnt my intention O0 rotfl

Well that makes sense. That they are pure beings, neither male nor female. I just get annoyed that Arab men tell each other that when they die they will have endless sex in heaven with the 7ur blah blah blah brickwall brickwall brickwall

Greetings and Peace, all group
It may be important to note that AQ states the following about Paradise
1335 The example of the Paradise which the righteous are promised, is that rivers flow beneath it, and its provisions are continuous as is its shade. Such is the abode of those who were righteous, while the abode of the rejecters is the Fire.
4715 Is the example of the Paradise; that the righteous have been promised with rivers of pure water, and rivers of milk whose taste does not change, and rivers of wine that are delicious for the drinkers, and rivers of strained honey, and for them in it are all kinds of fruits, and a forgiveness from their Lord; like that of those who abide in the Fire, and are given to drink boiling water that cuts-up their intestines?
Paradise is a nice place that we should hope and strive for--concrete information is not for our knowledge. Don't actually expect rivers of milk and rivers of wine...or anything else specific.
ALLAH knows best.

Why so mad? According to ahadith, women will be lucky enough to remain with their Hubby in heaven.
Also does this mean I won't get my 72 virgins in Paradise? '(

Yeah, I think they will find it a little bit hard to get the their hubby's attention what with the 72 virgins and all. On another note, why would anyone want virgins

It talks about huri virgins but there is no reference to sexual activity but perhaps beauty. The Koran says the same about boys and not just females.
Ageless youths will circulate among them, serving them. Seeing them, you would think them scattered pearls. (Surat al-Insan, 19)
There will be gardens with rivers flowing underneath and cool, refreshing shade. By the grace of Allah, devout believers will be amid shaded gardens with spreading branched, flowing springs, and whatever kind of fruit and meat they desire. In addition, they will have high-ceilinged halls with rivers flowing underneath, where they will recline on couches ranged in rows and take pleasure from the surrounding beauty. Circulating among them will be youths like hidden pearls, passing among them vessels of silver and goblets of pure crystal. Meanwhile, ?... they will be adorned with gold bracelets and pearls, and where their clothing will be of silk.? ( Surat al-Hajj, 2223)
they will have there all that their hearts desire and their eyes find delight in. You will remain in it timelessly, forever. ( Surat az-Zukhruf, 4371)
So I do not think that huris are actually sexual desires but beauty that is reserved for the faithful.
Mathew 12
24 And Jesus answering said unto them, Do ye not therefore err, because ye know not the scriptures, neither the power of God?
25 For when they shall rise from the dead, they neither marry, nor are given in marriage; but are as the angels which are in heaven.Luke 20
34 And Jesus answering said unto them, The children of this world marry, and are given in marriage
35 But they which shall be accounted worthy to obtain that world, and the resurrection from the dead, neither marry, nor are given in marriage
36 Neither can they die any more for they are equal unto the angels; and are the children of God, being the children of the resurrection -

What if a woman is single? What if she was married but hates her husband and doesn't want to be stuck with him all eternity? D And why don't man feel "lucky enough," to be with their wives in heaven? Why does God need 7ur to bribe them to be good? ;D

I think if we are to take the verses about virgin women in paradise as being something sexual than we also have to take the eternal boys who look like pearls as sexual also. This means that both male and females and heterosexuals and homosexuals get their share.
Or
We assume that these verses are talking about beauty and servitude and not something sexual whom were created for the believers as a reward.
There is no indication from the verses that it is something sexual, we are simply assuming the term "virgins" as being something that is sexual. Meaning that these are women the people in paradise will have sexual relationships with. But there is no indication from the verses about that.
But looking at how Jesus described the situation the second option looks more like it.
