you can also ask why did God bother safeguarding the Koran when he knew (as prophet says in Koran) people will discard the Koran anyway and corrupt Islam with hadiths?

...and of course there is the other question of was the Koran corrupted until Rashad Khalifa came along and returned it to its original form by removing two verses, apparently written by man?!

OP, you're neglecting the matter of guidance.
I believe those who Allah knows are capable of shouldering the blessing and burden that is knowing the true path. If you seek out knowledge, he will make that easy for you to understand. If you would rather just follow 'knowledge' predetermined by other people, then he will leave you to your desires.

And where did you get the idea that God only safeguraded the koran?
Muslims didn't go astray because God did not safeguard the Koran, they went astray because they relied on other authorities for their deen. Well same thing, the reason why many Christians and Jews went astray is because they didn't follow the Torah and Gospel they were given. The Jews relied mostly on their Talmud while the Christians relied on the Church authority.

I have been thinking about a few things lately. The first being, when God gave the jews the Torah, he must have know that it would be corrupted and yet He allowed it to be corrupted. Then God sent Jesus with the injeel and the injeel also got lost as some say as well as currupted. Then God sent Prophet Muhammed and promised to safe guard the Quran. But what we find is that God safeguared the quran but not islam. it seems God let Islam to be currupted like the other people of the book. So now, all the jews who follow the Torah are on the wrong path and all the Christians who follow the new testament are on the wrong path and all the muslims who live and breather on hadiths are also on the wrong path. Dont you wonder sometimes why God let this happen.
Some people have said that the Torah is not currupted but the injeel is currupted and i say to those people that you cannot say that the Torah is original because the stories of certaini events and people are quite differently in the Quran and Torah.

I dont think you have read the Torah my friend..this is why i always ask people to read my post properly before responding.
First off, the story of prophet Ibrahim in the Torah is not the same as the story in the Quran
Even if Jews stopped following the Talmud ( google Karaites ) , what they practice would not be even close to islam.
What i am saying in essense is that God knew that the Torah would be currupted, this is why the Quran corrects stories that are written in the Torah. If the stories in the Torah whwre currupt, then the Quran ill almost become like a "new testament" of sort i.e an addition to the Torah. it wouldnt need to re write the stories.

Allah never gave the Torah to the Jews, but he gave it to the children of Israel, and that same Torah never been altered nor changed, also the injeel was given to Isa, and was added to the same BOOK, in one same book, and never been altered, together, the Torah and the injeel , are the book that you're reading now and you call the Quran
