God and Free Will

No god can exist. Allah is not a god. So we're not going to become gods either.
And seriously stop it, you're pissing me off, I'm not going to change my firm beliefs just because you say so. I looked at many explanations and translations of the Quran. This is by far the very best.Dude ease up i'm not forcing you to do anything peace All i'm saying is that look for evidence in what he says in his articles rather than just take his words as is. I know you are a smart person especially since at only the age of 14 you have come so far in this religion, and I know you seek knowledge, but even with the explanations you hear of not just his but absolutely anyones, take evidence. Evidence runs the world including the path in this religion. See if it fits the verses, see if they contradict the verses and even throw the arabic into translators and see how they come out (I do that half the time cause I almost trust no translator of the Quran myself XD)
But you said he has a translation of the Quran? how about sharing the link then as i'm interested to see how he translated the Quran
-
I do take evidence. One time I saw something that I couldn't explain that refuted Abdun Nur's ideology and stopped believing on it a little, but then I saw something that explained it one on of his articles, forgot what it was. So I believed SOL more again.
His translation of the Quran is not finished yet but here's the work so far http//servantofthelight.com/content/view/95/126/ -

Well here is my problem I guess. I have read his articles and I really liked his Salat article for example and how it seemed like a Zoroastrian copy, yet the lack of verses to back up his claim or most of his claims on the site is what really made me not trust his sources much. Its probably the reason why many on this site tend to not like his claims.
Well i'll take a look at his Quran later on (really interested to see how he went through chapter 2). Now to talk to my friend and then sleep )

You do realize that the Quran is just a warning right?
People from the distant past didn't necessary need divine books or messengers to be in the right track, however, the evil dominated the good and delusion dominated reality ( all those because of base desires like greed, or stuff like stupidity ), that's why messengers were sent, to revive the true Deen, which Islam. At least to make it possible for people to know it.
It's a similar situation now, we have the Quran but it only makes us know things such as that there is a Creator, Allah, and that we should be good people. Most other things are misconceptions, or twisted and corrupted translations. So you have to do other investigations than simply following a book that wouldn't make sense if it wasn't corrupted for all those years, unless if you have translations that are compatible with logic, reason and science, Abdun Nur has such kind of translations ( what his friend Baddar translated till now ), and he takes the Quran as a base, but unless he gets accurate translations for all of Quran he can't possibly back up everything he says by a verse right? Nor would it make his belief worse. That's why there's other things to look at, such as physics and historical evidence, but really most things Abdun Nur explains don't even need the Quran to back it up, they just make so much sense that even if there was no Quran it would be going against my common sense and reason to disagree with them. -

I just took a quick look at his translation, if you want my advise stay away from that translation, faaaaaaaaaaaaar away.
I have never seen in my life a translation like that. It's playing with the ayaats of Allah in a way I have never seen before &But this is just my advise ofcourse, you have to do what you think is good for you.
Salaam,

BenderAnd I think it's good to follow it, as my reason can agree with it, and not other translations.

You are sounding more like hadithists everyday. You are implying the Quran is secondary, not a true guide, just "basic" stuff, mostly corrupt, and that we need secondary sources like SOL to ever possibly understand and live Islam, that Abdun Nur is a rightly guided teacher of Islam who doesn't even need the Quran, after all, the Quran is "just a warning" not a guide, but Abdun Nur's non-Quranic opinions are the real meaning and practice of True Islam and we can't understand or follow the Quran without his teachings.
It's getting ridiculous. You do realize Abdun Nur is simply making things up to fit his own personal theology right? That he completely manipulates, ignores or mistranslates the Quran? Are you aware he is not using reasoned arguments from the Quran but his essays are filled with fallacious reasoning and logical fallacies?
Seriously, you need to guard against turning him and his opinions, conjecture, guesswork and mangled translations into idols that supersede the Quran and it's teachings. As I said before, spend more of your time reading the Quran for yourself and think for yourself.

Didn't I tell you to stop annoying me?
Go claim your bullshit elsewhere. -
No offense to you Kaio, but its hard for me to take seriously someone who posts a website over and over as their source for everything. You should look into other sources and question some.

I looked into many sources and questioned many. SOL is rightest of them all, and thus I'm posting it as a source for everything that's explained there, since it's the one most likely to be true.
-
So you no longer say you could be mistaken or question anymore? Not healthy, in my opinion

You are 'poisoning the well', can you please attack the argument instead of the arguer? We will all benefit from it, one way or another.
Salaam.

And they are deterring others from it (Quran), and keeping away themselves; but they will only destroy themselves, yet they do not notice. (626)
And if the Quran is being read, then listen to it and pay attention, that you may receive mercy. (7204)
And we place shields over their hearts, that they should not understand it, and a deafness in their ears. And if you mention your Lord in the Quran alone, they run away turning their backs in aversion. (1746)
And when Our clear revelations are recited to them, those who do not wish to meet Us said "Bring a Quran other than this, or change it!" Say "It is not for me to change it from my own accord, I merely follow what is inspired to me. I fear if I disobey my Lord the retribution of a great day!" (1015)
This Quran could not possibly be authored by other than GOD. It confirms all previous messages, and provides a fully detailed scripture. It is infallible, for it comes from the Lord of the worlds. (1037)
This Quran guides to that which is more upright, and it gives glad tidings to the believers who do good work that they will have a bountiful reward. (179)
And We have cited in this Quran so they may remember, but it only increases their aversion! (1741)
Then High above all is God, the King, the True. And do not be hasty with the Quran before its inspiration is completed to you, and say "My Lord, increase my knowledge." (20114)
We made the Quran easy to learn. Does any of you wish to learn? (5417,22,32,40)

Those verses aren't referring to us in the Quran right?
But maybe I'm mistaken or can't understand so please go on and enlighten me ) -
Only the ego wants the "free will" and manipulates with it...
There is no "free will" at all!
There is only honesty or not! sun

But maybe I'm mistaken or can't understand so please go on and enlighten meThose are relating to us as well as everyone else as it simply is saying how one can be misguided whether it be you, me, Mr Q, or absolutely anyone in the world.

Also ExplorerSeeker86, sorry to have derailed the topic like this.
Just to wrap up the topic of yours I guess We have free will and free choice at 100% as we can choose how bad or good we get and what things we want to do and enjoy in life but regardless of the fact our destiny is either heaven or hell. God could see the future as he is beyond time itself (which is a christian concept itself as well I believe) but doesn't control us as he has stated we are free to choose and do what we wish and would contradict Gods justice and mercy. He guides us here and there especially when asking for help, but he doesn't take over our bodies and moves us to do actions.
