You know whenever anybody says they are a "Swede", I always think they are a root vegetable. I was thinking of going to Sweden for skiing, but I think I will be going to Norway instead. Sweden isn't always cold, is it?

Norway is much more mountainous so that's a good bet when going skiing. Sweden is only good for skiing in the mountain areas that border Norway... and that too in the winter. Personally I prefer summer activities over winter ones. I remember the lovely and steep hike of 3hrs, from Islamabad "ground level" up to the top of Margalla hills where the BBQ restaurant is. Such lovely scenery and cool n pleasant temperatures in summer.

I prefer 'gora' to 'root vegetable', although that's a bit stupid too laugh

Do you by any chance have some "beginner's" poetry (whatever that is)?... specifically I mean pieces that are not too lengthy. I will afterall have to learn the new words, expressions and constructions, put it together in my mind and savour n enjoy them.

I hope you are well. You have got me a little nostalgic about Pakistan now! I've been saying for the past three years that I want to go back, but I haven't done it as yet.

Anyhow, I am not particularly into winter sports or anything, but when I was younger, I always imagined I would go skiiing when I was older. Now, that I am older, I realised I better actually start doing all those things on my "To Do" list before it's too late!

Zulf, do you mean "gora" or "ghora"?

Beginner's poetry, I'm sure I can try to do a search on Google because I got into reading classical Urdu poetry after reading a history of the Urdu language. So, I had learned basic Urdu when I was younger and I went straight onto the hardcore stuff. Would you want it in Latin script or nastlik?
