Apparently God's what laypeople expect from science--they want science to say something about God, even if science methodologically unable to touch the subject matter of God.

Because they have a 'wrong perception' of 'God' to start with?

As it's obvious humanoid 'Deity/God' who lives in the Sky/Heaven and often coming down to earth does not exist... it's a fairy tale / myth.. along with tooth fairies, unicorn and others..

The above hypothesis can be proven by using 'scientific method'...

However, Alien / a sentient being who lives in another planet might exist...

    Salam / Peace

Interestingly, the Higghs Boson is also known as the 19th Particle.

As for Mazhar's article, I agree with his comment, though I think he did not need to make it that long.

I wrote on the same very verse and its implication regrading the subatomic particles in my second Turkish book published in 1983 Kuran En B?y?k Mucizel (Quran the Greatest Miracle.)

      Peace,
      Edip

      Thanks.

I thought it necessary to give grammatical analysis since majority of translations seem to have taken two different sentences as identical. Thereby, it seems contradicting the ground-scientific reality. Similarly, it was important to explain the word "Zarratin" since in general public parlance it does not mean "atom" as it is considered or understood by the scientists. It is then explained by the word "invisible" in another quoted Ayah.

English Translation of 1061 and 3403

It will be good and beneficial for us if you could copy and paste your above quoted article-even in Turkish since google can help us translate it. Thanks.

Grand Qur'aan broke the news Sub Atomic-Elementary Particles are inventoried/catalogued.

        Salaam all.

I remember reading somewhere that science is a way for us to know God and to know about all of the amazing things that God has created and given to us. In this way I embrace science and I don't feel threatened at all by findings like Higgs boson. I just don't understand yet what it really means - and in fact it's not fully understood by the men and women who've been working for so many years to find it either. That doesn't make it bad or wrong.

Re. Stephen Hawkings - didn't he actually bet that the god particle would never be found? Correct me if I'm wrong about this. Btw I don't think the fact that its called the god particle should even enter into what we, as muslims, think about this finding. It's a name.

Also, regarding whether science is corrupted or not personally I have a good deal of faith in science - but I certainly don't put all my faith in it. It's a great way to know how things work (as mentioned, to know Gods work and Gods creations). Findings do change regularly, it's true. But that is part of why I put some trust in it. It is self-correcting in that way.

I do distrust supposedly scientific studies that are financially backed by corporations. A good example of this is with studies on certain medications - I think it's shocking that they are even able to get away with that

I also find it really frustrating when people with a scientific background forget that science does change at times - it's a process. It's almost as frustrating as people who believe in God and so refuse to accept scientific results.

        Selam crustinpeace ,

I totally agree with you. I personally feel that science is a very good explanation (not in all ways) on his universe works and the basis of it. Science doesn't disprove God but essentially does the opposite. I studied Physics for A-Level and found it very fascinating and beneficial to understanding key concepts of the world and how incredible God made things from nature to the basic constants of forces. I do think though that sometimes there may be an excess of hours put into finding out certain things which sometimes have a lower priority as such things like cancer, aids and other detrimental diseases. But regardless science enhances our understanding of life by simply doing as God requested which is to explore his creation(s) .

        Peace all peace
