7924 He said I am your lord, the most high.

7925 So God seized him for punishment in the Hereafter, and for the first life.
7926 In that is a lesson for those who are concerned.

Okay. So let's imagine I am God. I am the pure consciousness that is all that exists, and know all that can be known. But thinking about it, it would nice if I could experience coming to know myself, magnificent being that I am.

But I already know myself, so how can I accomplish that?

Maybe I can do it by manifesting as localised consciousness that only has a partial view of myself. Maybe such localised consciousness would think of me as separate and distinct from it, and have lots of adventures in rediscovering what it really is and where it came from.

Hmm. Yes. That could be very interesting indeed because, as I currently am, no surprises and no adventures are possible.

Good. That's decided. Let it be so.

Some time later (now that time apparently exists)

Manifestation A What is all this poppycock about God? About this guy in the sky with a long white beard who has made us for his own amusement and threatens to punish us if we don't obey, or, if we're lucky, reward us for grovelling? I don't believe he exists, and since he doesn't, no other kind of God could exist.

Manifestation B What is it with these people who think that because an Abrahamic God doesn't exist (which I agree with), then no God at all exists? That's a complete non-sequitur.

Manifestation C Allah exists, and has created me as a separate being from Him, to whom I must submit. I believe every word of the Quran is true, and is not corrupted like all other scriptures. Just read the Quran it affirms that.

Manifestation D All religious scriptures are corrupt in one way or another. Using scripture to affirm scripture is circular, yet most religionists tend to do it. Unfortunately, it tends to make them think of themselves as superior to religionists of different persuasions. Rather than diminishing ego (nafs-i-ammara) it reinforces and strengthens it, and thereby their apparent separation from others and therefore from God. Besides, even if some scripture is true, the hearts of men may be corrupt and find a way to mangle its truth regardless.

Manifestation E The way to come to know Source Consciousness (SC) is through annihilation of the ego. Once that is permanently achieved, then a manifestation of SC can continuously experience itself as one with SC and every other manifestation of SC. This guy called Mansur Al-Hallaj experienced it and said so for which his fellow religionists executed him in a cruel and unusual manner. Another guy called Jesus did too, and similarly aroused the anger of fellow religionists, for which he also was cruelly punished. There are probably many more, known and unknown, who were treated in this way.

Manifestation F Idealism gives a good explanation for reality. The universe isn't dual, comprising matter and consciousness, nor is it comprised exclusively of matter and properties emergent therefrom. No all that exists is consciousness, even "stuff" that appears to be concrete and external. Sentient beings like us are just localisations of consciousness that have a restricted view of the whole of consciousness, analogous to the restricted viewpoint from within whirlpools of the whole of the stream in which they subsist. We observe certain patterns and regularities within universal consciousness that we interpret as the laws of physics or as external objects. But now and then, in certain mental states (induced or spontaneous), we can perceive the stream itself, and identify ourselves with it. Some call this Cosmic Consciousness.

Manifestation G There is a story I like. Idries Shah reports it in his book, The Sufis. It goes like this

      Anguruzuminabstafil

Four men - a Persian, a Turk, an Arab, and a Greek-were standing in a village street. They were traveling companions, making for some distant place; but at this moment they were arguing over the spending of a single piece of money which was all that they had among them.

"I want to buy angur," said the Persian.
"I want uzum," said the Turk.
"I want inab," said the Arab.
"No!" said the Greek, "we should buy stafil."

Another traveler passing, a linguist, said, "Give the coin to me. I undertake to satisfy the desires of all of you."

At first they would not trust him. Ultimately they let him have the coin. He went to the shop of a fruit seller and bought four small bunches of grapes.

"This is my angur," said the Persian.
"But this is what I call uzum," said the Turk.
"You have brought me inab," said the Arab.
"No!" said the Greek, "this in my language is stafil."

The grapes were shared out among them, and each realized that the disharmony had been due to his faulty understanding of the language of the others.

"The travelers," said the Agha, "are the ordinary people of the world. The linguist is the Sufi. People know that they want something, because there is an inner need existing in them. They may give it different names, but it is the same thing. Those who call it religion have different names for it, and even different ideas as to what it might be. Those who call it ambition try to find its scope in different ways. But it is only when a linguist appears, someone who knows what they really mean, that they can stop the struggling and get on with the eating of the grapes."

Stay loose, I tell myself. Try to enjoy the adventure I'm having, and to understand the adventures "others" are having. One day, who knows, maybe I'll come to perceive what I really am and then, there will be no "others", but only the One that is the source of "all".

        Peace.

Why imagine at all.He has told us who He is?

For those who want to use other translations the verse numbers have been provided

He is the One God; there is no other god beside Him. To Him belongs all praise in this first life, and in the Hereafter. All judgment belongs with Him, and to Him you will be returned.

The One who created you, designed you, and perfected you.

He is the One who initiates and repeats.

He is the One who shapes you in the wombs as He wills. There is no other god besides Him; the Almighty, Most Wise.

The One who created death and life for the purpose of distinguishing those among you who would do better.* He is the Almighty, the Forgiving.

God is the One who sent down the scripture, to deliver the truth and the law. For all that you know, the Hour (Day of Judgment) may be very close.

He is the One who helps you, together with His angels, to lead you out of darkness into the light. He is Most Merciful towards the believers.

He is the One who makes you laugh or cry.

He is the One who accepts the repentance from His servants, and remits the sins. He is fully aware of everything you do.

He is the One who created the heavens and the earth, truthfully. Whenever He says, "Be," it is. His word is the absolute truth. All sovereignty belongs to Him the day the horn is blown. Knower of all secrets and declarations, He is the Most Wise, the Cognizant.

He is the One who continuously shows you His proofs, and sends down to you from the sky provisions. Only those who totally submit will be able to take heed.

The One who made the earth habitable for you, and the sky a structure. He sends down from the sky water, to produce all kinds of fruits for your sustenance. You shall not set up idols to rival God, now that you know.

God is the One who causes the grains and the seeds to crack and germinate. He produces the living from the dead, and the dead from the living. Such is God; how could you deviate!
At the crack of dawn, He causes the morning to emerge. He made the night still, and He rendered the sun and the moon to serve as calculation devices. Such is the design of the Almighty, the Omniscient.
And He is the One who made the stars to guide you during the darkness, on land and on sea. We thus clarify the revelations for people whoknow.

He initiated you from one person, and decided your path, as well as your final destiny. We thus clarify the revelations for people who understand.
He is the One who sends down from the sky water, whereby we produce all kinds of plants. We produce from the green material multitudes of complex grains, palm trees with hanging clusters, and gardens of grapes, olives and pomegranate; fruits that are similar, yet dissimilar. Note their fruits as they grow and ripen. These are signs for people who believe.

To Him belongs the kingship of the heavens and the earth. He controls life and death. He is Omnipotent.
He is the Alpha and the Omega. He is the Outermost and the Innermost. He is fully aware of all things.

He is the One who created the heavens and the earth in six days,* then assumed all authority. He knows everything that enters into the earth, and everything that comes out of it, and everything that comes down from the sky, and everything that climbs into it. He is with you wherever you may be. God is Seer of everything you do.

He is the One who designed the night to be a cover, and for you to sleep and rest. And He made the day a resurrection.
He is the One who sends the winds with good omens of His mercy, and we send down from the sky pure water.

He is the One who merges the two seas; one is fresh and palatable, while the other is salty and undrinkable. And He separated them with a formidable, inviolable barrier (evaporation).

Most blessed is the One who placed constellations in the sky, and placed in it a lamp, and a shining moon.
He is the One who designed the night and the day to alternate a sufficient proof for those who wish to take heed, or to be appreciative.

Forgiver of sins, acceptor of repentance, strict in enforcing retribution, and possessor of all power. There is no other god beside Him. To Him is the ultimate destiny.

Possessor of the highest ranks, and Ruler of the whole dominion. He sends inspiration, bearing His commands, to whomever He chooses from among His servants, to warn about the Day of Summoning.

Possessor of all authority. From His highest height. Such is God your Lord, the Creator of all things. There is no god except He. How could you deviate?

Quran 4064] God is the One who rendered the earth habitable for you, and the sky a formidable structure, and He designed you, and designed you well. He is the One who provides you with good provisions.* Such is God your Lord; Most Exalted is God, Lord of the universe.
He is the Living; there is no god except He. You shall worship Him alone, devoting your religion absolutely to Him alone. Praise be to God, Lord of the universe.

God is the One who created the livestock for you; some you ride, and some you eat.

God is the One who raised the heavens without pillars that you can see, then assumed all authority. He committed the sun and the moon, each running (in its orbit) for a predetermined period. He controls all things, and explains the revelations, that you may attain certainty about meeting your Lord.

He is the One who constructed the earth and placed on it mountains and rivers. And from the different kinds of fruits, He made them into pairs - males and females. The night overtakes the day. These are solid proofs for people who think.

He is the One who shows you the lightning as a source of fear, as well as hope, and He initiates the loaded clouds.

God is the One who increases the provision for whomever He wills, or withholds it. They have become preoccupied with this life; and this life, compared to the Hereafter, is nil.
And He is the One who initiates the creation, then repeats it; this is even easier for Him. To Him belongs the most sublime similitude, in the heavens and the earth, and He is the Almighty, Most Wise.

God is the One who created you weak, then granted you after the weakness strength, then substituted after the strength weakness and gray hair. He creates whatever He wills. He is the Omniscient, the Omnipotent.

God is the One who created the heavens and the earth, and He sends down from the sky water to produce all kinds of fruit for your sustenance. He has committed the ships to serve you on the sea in accordance with His command. He has committed the rivers as well to serve you.

        you.

He is the One who created for you everything on earth, then turned to the sky and perfected seven universes therein,* and He is fully aware of all things.

Most exalted is God, the true Sovereign. There is no other god beside Him; the Most Honorable Lord, possessor of all authority.

He is the One who created you from mud, then predetermined your life span, a life span that is known only to Him. Yet, you continue to doubt.
He is the One God in the heavens and the earth. He knows your secrets and your declarations, and He knows everything you earn.

He is the One who puts you to death during the night, and knows even the smallest of your actions during the day. He resurrects you every morning, until your life span is fulfilled, then to Him is your ultimate return. He will then inform you of everything you had done.

He is the One who made you inheritors of the earth, and He raised some of you above others in rank, in order to test you in accordance with what He has given you. Surely, your Lord is efficient in enforcing retribution, and He is Forgiver, Most Merciful.

He is the One who created all kinds, in pairs (male and female), and He created for you ships and livestock to ride.

Be He glorified; He is the Lord of the heavens and the earth, the Lord with the great dominion, far above their claims.

He is the only One who is a deity in the heaven and a deity on earth. He is the Most Wise, the Omniscient.

Most Exalted is the One who possesses all sovereignty of the heavens and the earth, and everything between them. With Him is the knowledge about the Hour (end of the world), and to Him you will be returned.

To Him is your ultimate return, all of you. This is God's truthful promise. He initiates the creation, then repeats it, in order to reward those who believe and lead a righteous life, equitably. As for those who disbelieve, they incur hellish drinks, and a painful retribution for their disbelieving.

He is the One who rendered the sun radiant, and the moon a light, and He designed its phases that you may learn to count the years and to calculate. God did not create all this, except for a specific purpose. He explains the revelations for people who know. He is the One who rendered the night for your rest, and rendered the day lighted. These are proofs for people who can hear.

Glory be to the One who created all kinds of plants from the earth, as well as themselves, and other creations that they do not even know.

God there is no other god besides Him, the Living, the Eternal. Never a moment of unawareness or slumber overtakes Him. To Him belongs everything in the heavens and everything on earth. Who could intercede with Him, except in accordance with His will? He knows their past, and their future. No one attains any knowledge, except as He wills. His dominion encompasses the heavens and the earth, and ruling them never burdens Him. He is the Most High, the Great.

He is the One God in the heavens and the earth. He knows your secrets and your declarations, and He knows everything you earn.

God is the One who created you. He is the One who provides for you. He is the One who puts you to death. He is the One who resurrects you. Can any of your idols do any of these things? Be He glorified. He is much too exalted to have any partners.

He merges the night into the day, and merges the day into the night. He has committed the sun and the moon to run for a predetermined period of time. Such is God your Lord; to Him belongs all kingship. Any idols you set up beside Him do not possess as much as a seed's shell.

..."He is the One and only God.
        "The Absolute God.
"Never did He beget. Nor was He begotten.
        "None equals Him."

He is the One God; there is no other god beside Him. Knower of all secrets and declarations. He is the Most Gracious, Most Merciful.
He is the One God; there is no other god beside Him. The King, the Most Sacred, the Peace, the Most Faithful, the Supreme, the Almighty, the Most Powerful, the Most Dignified. God be glorified; far above having partners.
He is the One God; the Creator, the Initiator, the Designer. To Him belong the most beautiful names. Glorifying Him is everything in the heavens and the earth. He is the Almighty, Most Wise.

Such is God your Lord, there is no god except He, the Creator of all things. You shall worship Him alone. He is in control of all things.
No visions can encompass Him, but He encompasses all visions. He is the Compassionate, the Cognizant.

They do not value God as He should be valued. God is the Most Powerful, the Almighty.

        GOD bless you all.
        Peace.

          Allah says

"And who is more truthful in his word than Allah?" (487).

          ?Say He is Allah, the One and Only;
          Allah, the Eternal, Absolute;
          He begetteth not, nor is He begotten;
And there is none like unto Him.? (surah 112)

"He is Allah, there is no god but He, the Knower of the Unseen and the Visible. He is the Most Gracious, Most Merciful. He is Allah, there is no God but He, the King, the Holy One, the Source of Peace, the Keeper of Faith, the Guardian, the Almighty, the Subduer, the Sublime. Glory be to Allah above what they associate with Him. He is Allah, the Creator, the Maker, the Shaper. His are the most beautiful Names. All that is in the heavens and the Earth glorifies Him. He is the Almighty, the Wise" (5922-4).

"And who is more truthful in his word than Allah?" (487).

"there is nothing whatever like unto Him, He is the All-hearing, the All-seeing. To Him belongs the keys of the Heavens and the Earth. He enlarges and restricts provisions to whom He wills. Surely He has knowledge of everything" (4211-12).
"He is Supreme over His servants, and He is the Wise, the All-aware" (618 ).

"And who is more truthful in his word than Allah?" (487).

"Allah there is no God but He, the Living, the Everlasting. Slumber does not seize Him, neither sleep; to Him belongs all that is in the heavens and the Earth. Who is there that shall intercede with Him except by His permission? He knows what is before them and what is behind them, and they do not encompass anything of His knowledge except what He wills. His throne extends over the heavens and the Earth, the preservation of them does not burden Him; He is the High, the Great" (2255).

"And who is more truthful in his word than Allah?" (487).

"Truly it is the revelation of the Lord of the world brought down upon your heart by the Faithful Spirit so that you may be one of the warners, in a clear Arabic tongue" (26192-95).

"And who is more truthful in his word than Allah?" (487).

Everywhere there is the presence of God, and nowhere is there no presence of God.

God is not separate from I or you - therefore I am God and you are God, we are all God!

            Discuss....

Hi Jane. You are not God really. You are just a piece of, well you know. No, not a "piece of God", haha I meant the other word, something more than God, it has 4 letters.

You know you're not God, because you seem incapable of controlling anything in any simple and direct way.

What you are, whatever at all you consider "you" is "information". God is not "information" you can never be God, and God can never be you. God creates all the information, that means everything you are, but remains distinct from you, because everything can be destroyed and removed yet God is not information, nor can be destroyed (because there would be none to sustain the operation's completion, to God existing to allow the completion of the task).

These are just some of the many limitations of God.

It might have been nice if you really were God though, then persons you could let me suck some of your mercy from you, yet you appear rather powerless and weak, ultimately useless to me, unless perhaps you have something I can use?

I dont read this thread from the beginning. Once I got carried awal by my instinct because I thought I was alive and the sensation was real. My limited mind convince me that I was part of God. Time to time my mind told me that I was God because I was alive. At first, it was a joy, I can felt dophamine released, or any term you used to use f you think that term too technical or outlandish. But I have to face this probem. Who am I? The first year Im still blinded with hardship I get because I naturally positve thinking. But time to time, I faced 2 option, denied the truth, or faced the truth even though it was painful. I chose science. Rather than crazy and denied the fact. Its dangerous in here denying believe over fact in here, but quietly, I chose fact tan anything, no matter what. But of course, I still hadfaith for certain case. but mostly, I prefer science than beeing insahe because defying fact

Were they created from nothing? Are they the creators?

Did they create the heavens and the earth? Indeed, they have no certainty.

Even what they can discover with somewhat empirical science tends to point towards the idea that we are part of a kind of singularity. There are many signs towards this for the one good at contemplation.

                          4211

God made us, we are part of his creation. But although creation came from god we also know from the Qur?an(4211) that God is not like anything.

So there must be a separation between God and his creation. Although creation came from God.
                          see also 618

Also if we assume we are part of god without the separation of God -- creation.
that would mean God = all of creation combined

that leaves no space for god. I mean who is running everything then ?
And can't God exist outside of his creation ?

(I posted this on another thread but I think it is still relevant here)

Just when I think I am heading somewhere I read this...now I have to start over (
                          )

                              Allah is 'Who Is Like'.

Rabb is God and Rabb is the foundation we live in. And remember the Messianic expression "I am in the Father and the Father in me".

God is a universal force. Thus, God exists in everything, but this does not mean we are Gods. I have been noticing that some people from other religions get this also. I kept screenshots of two.

One of the most interesting discussions I saw at an atheist forum. The Godless members came up with the same kind conclusion. They even figured out that such a God would have the power to know what we would be doing in our future. Pretty Quranic. But later, some ignorant beings ended up diverting their attention by bringing up the human like God found in all corrupted religions.

"Who created God" is in my view a stupid question. If God was created then he would be not God but a creation. God is The Creator not a creature.
I think a lot of people tend to think of a God as creature who creates, therefore they ask themselves questions like who created God.

I can not agree with this. The universe is a creation, Allah is not a creation. He is Allah, if He was the universe then He would be The Universe but He is Allah.
And He can vanish The Universe and everything in it with 1 command and He will be still Allah while the universe would be gone and with 1 command He can make any/many universe(s) He likes, He does what He wills, He is Allah.

Nope, because we die, we are not Gods. He lives on. He is infinity with no beginning and ending.

"Who created God" is in my view a stupid question. If God was created then he would be not God but a creation. God is The Creator not a creature.

I know. The guy left the comment for atheists who seem to leave religions after not being able to find a flying super hero in the sky.

I can not agree with this. The universe is a creation, Allah is not a creation. He is Allah, if He was the universe then He would be The Universe but He is Allah.

We don't have to agree with everything he said. That piece of God thing is pretty silly. What I was trying to show here is that we pretty much know the concept of God very well. But somehow we get stuck in the mythic concept that God has body parts just like us. All mainstream religions are guilty of thinking this way. Bottom line is that God is everywhere. He is in the universe. He is outside the universe. We are within him.

with this level of knowledge which we have ,,, its even very difficult to imagine,,,what is the nature of God,,, however we cant be god,,

and whatever we will imagine about God,,, is will just imagination nothinng else,,, and obviously our highest ever imagination will related to the matter and force or energy light,,,whatever we will imagine ,,, its definate itzjust idea ,,,running around created things,,, but he is not like his creation,,,, theres is nothing like him,,,,(112 verse 4) but what is real understanding of God ,, we need to wait for judgement day where our brains will updated to understand ,,,,

                                          Hello,

We are part of the consciousness that is God. Every person makes a part of God, although it requires spiritual growth to make any significant portion of it or one is "lifeless" and part of "automation". Yet Rabb is everything in existence so Jesus was right in saying "The Father is greater than I" even though Jesus had a grand share of the Rabb in him. God encompasses everything. We have a part of God in us.

People cannot comprehend that there is a sort of real-time symbiosis between Creator and Creation and thus make a separation of the Creator while He is one and the same at the same time yet each person is a unique character simultaneously, at least those who have made their personal consciousness grow or else they do not really exist even if they might believe so. That is the power of deception.

                                          Be safe
                                          Amenuel
