Interfaith children upbringing

While there is not exactly the term polytheism in Quran it refers to Paganism. Trinitarian Christianity is just that and that is polytheism since you regard Jesus as son of God. It means there are two Gods excluding the Holy Spirit, according to this reasoning. This is not believing in God alone and hence not monotheism which God requires. You can clearly see that God addresses both the trinity and Jesus as God and says it is a blasphemy. It is idol worship.
We can marry Christians, if they are errenously referring themselves as such, the Quran considers the Christians to be decent folks, and as long as they are unitarian and do not believe in the trinity. A wife who is idolizing Jesus, and to the extent of considering him as the son of God is not an appropriate future parent for your children.
Yeah, you're true Man of Faith.
I dont know but in the start I also accused trinitian christ as polytheist, but the strange is they refused if they labeled as polytheist.
Yes they are polytheist but they just didn't realize if they're polytheist.Verse 28-11 is very clearly said about the wicked (polytheist) person who didn't realize if they're wicked (polytheist).
Still do you say I am creating hostility?
Mr Fazl, I'm not wrote if you create hostility, please re-read my post again.
I dont know but if I misintepretated your post, I demand apologize. -
Can anyone of you see yourself marrying a christian and having kids and letting ur wife raise the kids christian
How many of y'all can put up with that or tolerate that
Or how many of y'all have?
I wish I could, I ends up marrying a sunni instead.. )
Nonetheless, my wife is getting less and less sunni now.. thus the kids is raised 'secular', in a sense that I urge them to learn from all sources.
IMHO an 'interfaith' children shall yield good result, the children will learn many things about 'tolerance' and they will be exposed to 'wide spectrum of views' and has less probability to become sectarian and generally more wiser than sectarian kids.
A very good example of 'interfaith' children is of course Mr. Barrack Obama

Hicham, your article on that website is good, and give me more knowledges so thanks Hicham.
Peace be unto you my brother,
You're welcome and glad you enjoyed itBut you must remember even your article pointing out if Trinity is polytheist but in the fact none Christians claim themself as polytheist.
Yes, of course Trinitarian Christians will deny and oppose being called polytheists because they were indoctrinated into actually believing that 1+1+1=1 !!! It's as if a spell has been cast on them!!!! They have been deceived into believing they are "MONO'theists, but in reality they're not. It's called TRItheism the doctrine, worship of, or belief in THREE GODS, especially in the doctrine that the THREE PERSONS OF THE TRINITY (Father, Son, and Holy Ghost) are THREE DISTINCT GODS, each an independent center of consciousness and determination! Thus, I'm afraid, it's anything but Monotheism. It is exactly what Jesus (pbuh) said was wrong with the Samaritans "you worship what you do not know" (Jn 422,23). Christendom is in a similar situation as the Samaritans, they have mixed their worship with pagan mysticism and Greek philosophies. The result is that the incomprehensible mystery' of the Trinity prevents them from really knowing God, the Sole Deity worthy of All worship. The concepts of Unitarianism and Trinitariansim are rooted in paganism. Among the Unitarian Christians are Monotheists (who worship ALLAH) and also Polytheists (those who worship Jesus). and the Trinitarian Christians are in fact Tritheists (they associate the Messiah and the Holy Spirit in worship with God). In the light of the OT, NT and the Qur'an, this is considered a Blasphemy, and is in fact a historically well-known form of POLYtheism. The doctrine of the trinity existed looong before Christianity. To mention just a few ancient trinities, triune idols, and triads Nimrud, Semiramis, tammuz. Jupiter, Neptune and Pluto. Zeus, Poseidon and Adonis. Ulomus, Ulosuros and Eliun. Criosan, Biosena, and Seeva. Wodan, Thor and Fricco. Amun, Re and Ptah. Anu, Enlil and Ea. ... Etc.
Idol worship (Associating partners to God) is "THE" unforgivable sin according to the Qur'an . Exalted is ALLAH above the partners they ascribe to HIS Unmatched Position, Glorious Perfectness, and Sublime Uniqueness. Glory and Praise be to ALLAH ALONE (ho theos monos, ς the Supreme Sustainer and Uncaused Creator of all existence (and that which beyond our understanding).
It's better if we understand Christian so they can understand us too.
I agree and btw, I've got nothing against Christians, Budists or Hindus, ..., everyone is free to choose his way (even if its theistic satanism). I do engage into debates with Trinitarians everyday tho, I never disrespect them or impose my beliefs on them, on the contrary, I listen to what they have to say and always debate in a peaceful, respectful and productive manner... However, I do expose the fabrications they have been feed by the "dogma dealers" who not only perverted the previous Holy Scriptures but are in fact still leading the people astray today! When I reveal the Truth (that God is One, that He revealed the Torah, Euangelion and Qur'an to mankind, or that Jesus is but a human like Adam, or that Muhammad is nothing like what the persian hadithers describe, etc) in most cases, Trinitarians resort to logical fallacies, and even insult God Almighty (Exalted is THE LORD above what they say) and call Muhammad a pedophile, false prophet, ... etc. WALLAH It hurts my heart ( Sigh! ...
May ALLAH guide them and keep us on the Straight Path.
I wont debating you over this because I'm not a Christologist.By saying this I'm not sided with Christian
Don't worry, I'm not interested in a debate either! And nop! no one said you're a "Christologist"! Giggle!
and myself also condemn that Trinity teaching.
YES, I believe we should condemn and refute the doctrine of the Trinity,
otherwise, we wont be following the teachings of the Sublime Qur'an .Peace be unto you.

Is this question raised to men or women since you say ''wife'' ?
Anyway, I would prefer to marry a Quran alone, but I could also marry a christian or Jew as long as he is a monotheist and don't consider me being a pagan. I once spoke to a Quran alone woman who had divorced her sunni husband as he called her ''murdad'' several times. So its definitely important to take the spouse religion into consideration.
And I would be happy if he raised the kids more or less secular, which I believe is possible even if you have a faith. But of course its not possible if someone is an extremist, thus I tend to avoid extremist sectarians generally.

Some Christians I know explained to me that the concept of trinity is the same as H2O existing in 3 different states - ice, steam and water. It is still the same "substance" (i.e God) what ever form it is in. I am interested in points against this logic.
That isn't logical is it ? And the example isn't logical either except if you accept god as water

No I would not marry a Christian. I don't know how many times I had to walk away and choose loneliness. Hardest was to say sorry to a man who truly loved me. We talked about children and his position was that the child will grow up knowing about Islam and Christianity and then decide. I asked so how will you respond if child asks "is mommy going to hell because she doesn't accept Jesus as son of God" and me teaching the child that saying God had a son is a lie. This would be wrong and not fair to a child. I have a responsibility to raise my children. Simply cannot raise my child to believe in lies told about God. And what if I die and then the child is raised to worship Jesus - I just could not bear the thought.

Good point sis Lena yay.

I don't think it would be easy raising children from different religions, So I wouldn't do it.
Lena
I don't think we have the right to limit God into "states".
Whilst H2O can change it's state the content's still the same, is it not? the father, son and holy spirit are different. For example Jesus is not God. As far as I know Jesus never claimed himself as God; He could think for himself, he seeks God's help, if they're the same substance why would Jesus need to do that? They work as separate entities and the content is not all the same because we know Jesus is a man. In the bible If God is comprised of multiple persons/states then why do we not find plural pronouns when referred to God?
Besides water is not a living thing so it seems like an odd analogy.
