Do Quranists Say 'Ameen' After Prayers?
-
What exactly Ameen means? Can you please translate it for me. Thanks.
Raising hands are nothing but showing off to others.. which is not really needed. My Lord, Allah listen to what my heart says. AlhamduliAllah hail
May Allah increase our knowledge and guide us on His path pr
mmKhanIf its not needed to raise hands, then its not needed to do sugud (prostration) or ruku (bowing) or qiyam (standing) either. You should just pray in your heart right?
Of course Quran tells you to pray with sugud, ruku, and qiyam. See the Quranists are always going against Quran.

Good! I happy to see you quoting alQuraan without including hadith with it. MashaAllah.
Red It is very easy say so... but you did not bring up the proof for what you claim. So, bring forth your proof from alQuraan ONLY as you said above, ONLY if you are truthful.

don't Quranists feel they are far from Allah and their prayers are missing a very special thing?
Peace Family,
The simple answer would be No.
When My servants ask you about Me, I am always near. I answer their
prayers when they pray to Me. The people shall respond to Me and believe in Me,
in order to be guided. What special thing?
God Bless

Peace,
Another answer to the same question as hawk99 answered No, rather the opposite. God seems to be always near and also granting the wishes of prayers oftenly.
God bless you

Thanks for your contribution to this very important topic.
To answer your first question, Ameen is a supplication meaning 'may it be so', asking Allah to answer all the supplications a person has made. It is the way to seal a prayer practiced by Jews, Christians, Muslims for centuries.
It has nothing to do with paganism. It is a Hebrew and Semitic word
Ameen doesnt mean "may it be so".
Ameen is same root of amana and mo'omin and imenAmeen means "my god, i received (tasallamtou) yours words and they are in security in my heart".
Mo'min dont mix words of Allah with stupid hadiths and receive deen only from the unique Rabb/educator and not from others Arbabs (stupid scholars).4914 The AARABS said ?Aman'na.? Say ?You have not amantou; but you should say ?We have Aslamana (received)?, for Amana has not yet entered into your hearts.? If you obey God and His messenger, He will not put any of your works to waste. God is Forgiver, Merciful.
Receiveing from God is not same as iman for what we have received.
Mushrikouns receive but mix amana with bullshits from others Arbabs.Ps i don't prosternate towards the cubic stone .
may it be so!

As far as I know the requirements for Salat in accordance with Quran are to do Wudu (prerequisite), stand, bow, prostrate, recite from the Quran & mention God alone (no partners). I know of no verse mentioning the raising of hands. Please provide verse if there is one.

Salaam.
Amen/Ameen was originated from Egyptian God Amen-Ra. When the Jews became the slaves of Egypt, this Amen was adopted to their teaching.
Later, this Amen was also adopted to Christianity and later Islam '(http//free-minds.org/history-amen

There is no verse in the Quran which told us to say "ameen" after salat. So say "ameen" is not obligatory.

I never said that it was obligatory but just like stoning, stoning is nowhere in the Qur'an but the Muslims say that it is part of Islam.

Stoning is haram, while say "ameen" is sunnah, this means we say it or not, it's up to us.
There is no verse in the Quran which order us to say ameen, and there is also no verse in the Quran which prohibit us to say "ameen".Ameen is just tradition in Abraham monotheistic.

What's your proof that Abraham said Ameen?
Despite the origin of amen.Kind regards,

Peace,
In the sunni masjid they dropped the bismallah (deleted "in the name of God" from the
beginning of salat and add ameen at the end of the Fatihah. Whether it means amen-ra or
not is immaterial, why add a word not from Quran when the Quran if full of praises for God?
Shaytayn is just too fast and too smart and always sees us coming. Now we argue about
a word not even in Quran and serves no purpose! Out of all of the words in Quran, many
choose a word that is non-existent in the Quranic text. hmmAll have a blessed Ramadan

Yes, the shaytanic forces are very clever in that they will infiltrate and pretend to be on your side, thus leading you astray, covertly, from within the gates. The shaytanic forces are great impostors. One must remain constantly vigilant and aware. Whenever we switch to auto-pilot, we are led astray. Most people are on auto pilot, leaving all decisions to the past and forefathers, the salaf. But just like tomorrow never dies, yesterday never was. There was never anything but 'now'. The forefathers had forefathers who had forefathers... so who are we following actually? Well, we are following an imaginary way of the forefathers (who never was, because at any instant and time there is only 'now', a way which at every step has been infiltrated and injected with lies and falsehood by the shaytanic forces that are constantly at work. Either take charge of your own life, using your God given reason, or remain on auto pilot and accept to be fed lies and illusions by the shaytanic forces... straight to ruin.

Peace All,
To continue in this current vein I would like to add, We can never ever forget shaytayn
and were he is hiding, what influence he would like over us humans, tricks, deceptions,
no matter how petty. One of the attributes of shaytayn is that he is petty. One may
think that adding a word like amen or removing the bismallah from salat as an insignificant
thing, but for shaytayn, he considers it a victory!"I will come to them from before them, and from behind them, and from their
right, and from their left, and You will find that most of them are unappreciative."Shaytayn has promised to attacked the deen from every angle.
Do the people think that they will be left to say, "We believe," without being
put to the test?O you who believe, you shall embrace total submission; do not follow the steps
of Satan, for he is your most ardent enemy. All have a blessed Ramadan

... Without saying 'Ameen' don't Quranists feel they are far from Allah and their prayers are missing a very special thing?
Frankly, I think your flawed logic is dull, and you look at things at face value ...
Guided or astray, God is near to ALL human beings ( - 5016).PS
I never use the traditional term "Allahumma aameen" ( ن i.e. "Dear God Amen"! Rather, I often say "Allahumma Stajib" ( ب, i.e. "Dear God respond (to my call/supplication)"SLM
