The Men of Wisdom addressing Allah the Exalted submit
Our Sustainer Lord; Indeed we have listened the caller. He calls for the Faith and directs "you people believe in your Sustainer Lord". Responding to his call we have heartily accepted-believed.
Who is he whom men of wisdom have listened and heartily accepted the direction? If we are one of men of wisdom, then we must know whom we listened and are responding by heartily believing.

By looking from all verse from the Quran, He can be Nabi Muhammad.
-
So he is your and mine .
Yes, if not then who?

Salaam,
Wow! MashaAllah, you heard Muhammad asking you to believe? &
I really don't understand where people are going.May Allah increase our knowledge and guide us on His path pr
mmKhanSalam,
The question could be alternatively
On whose asking have you believed in Allah the Exalted and submitted to Islam?
-
Peace,
I think you may be saying that it could be anyone/anything who/that called you towards Islam. It doesn't say Messenger, so it could be anyone? If no-one called you to Islam and you did it yourself when you simply believed, then it might not apply as it is about those who have heard a particular call possibly. In that case, it could be the call of your own self, your own intuition that Allah swt bestows upon us. Of course, the caller would also be bestowed upon us by Allah swt. Allah swt is the best Guide.

Peace,
Self calls and intuition are not belief. Allah swt has done His job. He has sent the caller. Now it is our turn to recognize the caller and respond. Therefore, everyone has to find and determine who is the . Without it, one is just a wanderer.

Peace Mazhar,
In this case, I am referring to people who are like Abraham when they look at the Signs in/of the world around them, and in themselves, and conclude there is a God, one Creator who is not created as creation itself needs a Creator, Sustainer etc (675-80)? So these people would come to their own conclusion that there is one God. The verses in question may refer to people who have been called by someone in particular - anyone who proclaimed oneness of God, belief in the last day and that God will provide justice and that we should do good.
I would say that self calls and intuition are a way to belief.

Salam,
This perception is perhaps because of patently incorrect translations. The text is argumentative and educative. He is teaching the people to ponder on simple realities. He is doing it as the Messenger. Paradise is only for those who believe in Allah the Exalted and the Messengers. Salvation is not on self acquired knowledge or understanding. The signs all around us are facilitators and pointers-providence for accepting the word of the Messengers.

I never say something like that, but you may notice too, if the Quran's setting was taken place during Nabi Muhammad time (if you believe he is exist) or 1400 years ago.
Example is the verse about war like 2191.It's impossible if we implementated this verse because our current situation and condition is different from that time.
This perception is perhaps because of patently incorrect translations.
Good, so we must be careful with any kind of translations did by traditionalist because they inserting some tafseer words, so the Quran is fith for their own fatwa agenda.

Salam,
in the contexte (from 3183) of the verse 3193 is the messenger, people who were present could "hear" the caller, but once the messenger is dead or people living abroad at that time, the message is still alive within The Book.

Salam,
The honourable President of USA is addressing a gathering of Kings, Presidents, Monoarchs and galaxy of ambassadors in English. His speech is obviously written by the Speech writers of White House. Its written text both in English and accurately translated version in many languages for Non-English dignatyories who are reading it while he is speaking.
Whom are they listening? The speech writer of White House or the His Excellency the President of USA?
We, common people, read his written speech after months. Whom are we listening?
-
Peace Mazhar,
But I'm not just basing it on that... the Quran mentions many times how the Signs of Allah are in the world around us and haven't we pondered them. the Quran is also described as a reminder - although maybe you disagree with that as well. In which case, it's more like agree to disagree. There are many people who may never come across the Quran or Message itself, but I still believe they can use their GOD GIVEN - emphasis intended - reason and understanding to come to terms with the oneness of God.
I don't believe that knowledge is self-acquired, although I've already mentioned this and there is no point in my repeating myself.
I also mentioned the point about this verse applying to people who have experienced/heard/come across a caller already as well. It might not mean everyone on the entire Earth for all time - that's what I'm getting at.

I was like Abraham in that case. I discovered God without the scripture. Of course I had a questionable era, but I think I was a monotheist all the while although I had some minor confusion at some point, but I am sure Abraham also wandered before he settled down.
I am going for my own life, I do not try to imitate Muhammad or any other Messenger, instead I follow God's Guidance to me. Each had their own personality and style so why should not I? We have all in common that we worship God alone.
God bless you

Salam,
Where do we find God's Guidance?
In the stars, planets, plant kingdom, animal kingdom, and whatever is in our perception? All these can introduce to us Allah the Exalted. But this is not His Guidance. Where is the God's Guidance?
-
Peace,
God's Guidance came to me for whatever reason. In my case I see it as a reward for my steadfastness. I refused to follow what other's said and always ran my own race, believing I would be helped by the Lord.
Guidance is something you get from God for following the Light and staying away from falsehood. Together with God's nearness it will lead to Knowledge and Wisdom and which will in the end give Peace and Prosperity.
Grasping God's Message is something one will do with all this.
Finding out about God is different from Guidance. Some people believe they are guided while they are not. Their lifestyle and behavior is the preventing factor.
But of course, God will guide as He pleases. I suppose we cannot understand this system even if we try. But disbelieving after Guidance has come is looked very negatively upon.
Still, I think a good soul who believes in God alone (without idol distraction), the Day of Judgment and are exceptional peacemakers can be considered guided. They have put their trust in God alone. Guidance will surely come to them and the spiral I mentioned above will unwind.
Everyone will of course be tested and losing Faith due to these trials will mean we do not trust God and we will also not fulfill the major criteria and thus not become guided or lose Guidance.
God bless you
