Peace,
God is the source of Guidance, and it is received through inspiration. Since Knowledge and Wisdom come by receiving Guidance one will understand Quran.
The Quran is the Guide, but it should still be separated from the Guidance which is something else for without Guidance one will not understand the Book, its Message. Quran is only a Guide for those God has allowed to understand.
God bless you

Salam,
Seperating Guide and Guidance, one is bound to go astray. There is a very delicate line between inspiration and hallucination and whispers of Shaitaan.
Allah the Exalted guides the humanity through the Book sent to the Messenger and passed on the people at large in exact words of Allah. He the Exalted does not waste time for those who desire not the guidance through the Book and His Messengers.Know the fact that the nation of Jews as well the Christians will never make their selves appreciatively pleased with you, the Messenger until and unless hypothetically speaking you might adopt literally following their Creed.
You the Messenger pronounce for everyone; "The Guidance of Allah the Exalted is in fact that-Qur'aan who is the Guide. ].
Therefore be mindful that, supposedly you purposely acted upon their conjectures-desires-wishes, after the One-Qur'aan who has reached you bringing the Knowledge,
thereby, assuredly there will certainly be neither protecting guardian, nor a helper permitted by Allah the Exalted to act for you ".You the Messenger pronounce; "The fact remains that AlHuda the Guide Qur'aan is the guidance of Allah the Exalted."
Allah the Exalted gradually revealed-ascended the Best Verbal discourse.
This discourse is conveyed to people in the state of a written book.
It is the explainer with metaphors mirroring-bringing face to face the hidden physical facts.
It is a Miscellany-cluster of Binary-Symmetrical-analogous verbal passages.
The skins of those who persistently fear and revere their Sustainer Lord become bristled in fear from some segment of it Grand Qur'aan.
Afterwards, their Skins become softened.
Moreover, their hearts become exclusively soft and revered towards the Reminder-Reiteration-Verbal Message of Allah the Exalted-the Grand Qur'aan.
This Book Grand Qur'aan is the Guidance of Allah.
He the Exalted guides with this Book a person about whom He decides to be guided.
However, should Allah the Exalted cause someone exposed-lets him remain neglectfully straying-wandering-indifferent, thereat, there is none a guide for him.Allah the Exalted guides only through the Book. And the Book is a verbal discourse. Words are same for everyone. It is one's own choice whether he attaches himself to the Words of Allah or desires to derive his own meanings and deviate from them. Thereat, he will be let remain neglectufully straying in getting self inspirations etc.
One has to first be sure who is his . If he thinks he is his own then doomed is he.

Peace,
So if I understand you correctly Mazhar I have a quick question if that's ok what about all the people throughout the centuries - I can just think of loads of people in Europe, and many other places, in the past who couldn't read and write and never heard the Quran, so they had no chance to believe in the actual guidance that you say one can only access in the Quran. There are still many today who won't receive the guidance in the way we have - people who can't read and write or who have not heard the Quran. They certainly won't have all the resources we have to study and reflect upon the Quran.
So these people have not received the guidance, then they are also doomed?
I could say more on this as I agree with Man of Faith but I will leave it there.

Salam,
The elevated Messenger of Allah the Exalted has made the point simple and clear. He was advised to tell people and the posterity that he is the revivalist, admonisher, awakener for those whom Qur'aan reached.
You and me fall in this category. We should be concerned about ourselves. Let the univese be managed by the Lord of Universes. If you and me go beyond this, doom is the only end; simple and straightforward.
The majority of wise-men, be they the "Seven Wise Men of Greece" or Sophists, Gorgias or renowned Protagoras and Plato or his illustrious teacher Aristotle, or other "men of wisdom" before and after them, tried and delved deep in their imagination to understand the boundaries of "Knowledge" but seldom cared to benefit from "The Book of Hour". The "imaginative knots" never produce a ladder and rope that could take one to the point of certainty and conviction. It is unfortunate that majority of the "wise-brains" gave more confusion than benefit to humanity since they in time and space remained neglectful to "The Book of Hour".
A book exists/existed for guidance for each and every hour-period.

Peace supportpeacenotwar,
hands up
I was like Abraham in that case. I discovered God without the scripture. Of course I had a questionable era, but I think I was a monotheist all the while although I had some minor confusion at some point, but I am sure Abraham also wandered before he settled down.
I am going for my own life, I do not try to imitate Muhammad or any other Messenger, instead I follow God's Guidance to me. Each had their own personality and style so why should not I? We have all in common that we worship God alone.
God bless you
Peace Man of Faith,
This is somewhat similar to me although I can't say if I was always a monotheist deep down, Allah swt knows best. When I was following modern Paganism, I always had this issue of trying to make it fit together and make sense for me. I was really trying to connect with these gods and goddesses and feel something that people kept saying they felt or how it essentially should be. But that never happened for me. Some Pagans might say I never did it properly, but in that case, why would there be a key to unlocking your contact to Deity that has to be done in such a particular way.
I started to feel and understand that the way I was practicing sabbats - the times where the changes in the earth are celebrated - didn't produce anything meaningful for me. It was all supposed to be about connecting to nature - but I felt I could do that without casting a circle, setting up a ritual and putting seasonal correspondences on my altar. Looking back, during Paganism I was always trying to make it come together but I don't think it ever really did. Then there's the whole thing about magic and other practices I could get into but I'll leave it there.
One day, as I was just learning about different ways of viewing God, I just decided to call myself a Theist (I was definitely Monotheist) at this time. I thought that this was just a label I was using but maybe the actual description of - 'just a theist' was what I was doing all that time before. There's more I could go into but to cut a long story short, when I came back to Islam and actually read the Quran - it fell into place, I didn't have to try to make the pieces fit. It was all so natural, comfortable and peaceful. When I first came back there were things from the hadith I followed but by the leave of Allah swt I soon found out about Quran only. Some people say how problematic the Quran is with its structure and change of pronouns or things like that, but I always love reading the Quran. It just feels so natural to me.

Peace,
I can understand what you're saying and I think I know why you might be saying it - because we need to be clear on what the actual guidance is? But I think we don't need to all have had access to the book, the Quran to know the central principles of Islam as laid out in the Quran. The concept of the last day can be seen purely as that God will provide justice and doing good is part of our morality that God has already placed in us.
That type of knowledge and guidance on what is a moral or good behaviour in each situation is something that God has already given us and is always guiding us on.
These other "wise brains" though - one could simply say that they never invoked the help of the Creator in order to receive their guidance on an individual basis. They were concerned with other things - possibly even creating some things that sound 'impressive' and more deep than the simplicity of the oneness of God, faith in the Creator and doing good.
So it can be said they already ignored the Creator and went on finding a type of academic formulation that was outside the reach of most people and that didn't provide firm answers but elaborate theories instead. To be honest, I think I still find this today. In the academic world, if the answer is very simple it is still dressed up in a very over elaborate way with many other things attached to it. I'm not saying we can't have detailed answers and carefully study of topics, but there seems to be a desire, in at least some academic circles, to provide something that goes against any non-academic or a more 'mundane' understanding of a subject and formulate something that is worthy of the highest echelons. Maybe this is something to do with academic elitism.
I sort of went a bit off the point there, but I just felt like putting it down since is sort of relevant. Not all of it is directed at the points you made.

People like moving zigzag. Philosphers only appease the desires of people. Simple and straighforward statement is contained only in Qur'aan-the guide in time and space--that is why it talks in simple and straightforward manner.
The fact is that Dextral-Righteousness-Veracity has made itself an evident behavioral pattern of equilibrium distinct from the aberrance-deviousness-rambling .
Rest all is just wandering and self deception.

Peace,
I think you missed my point about guidance in each situation - the Quran gives us guiding principles and examples but they still need some application. As God is the Guide, He is the one who we ask or at least start by asking if others offer their opinion as well. There could also be some situations where we need to consider what to do. I believe God gives us all a moral compass. I already mentioned before about the Quran being a Reminder - otherwise you think that the central points of the Quran are somehow outside of us until we stumble upon it and then have the assimilate the knowledge it provides.

Salamun alaiki,
We seem to be on the same point when we take the Qur'aan as the origin and source of guidance without intermixing human opinions.
Qur'aan is the Guide. And guidance is needed in time and space. And time is just the Day and Night-24 hours and 12 months.
The guide must tell us what to do during these 24 hours and at what time; like when to go before Allah and when to go in privacy with wife. How to conduct and observe protocol when in the presence of Allah; and the conduct and protocol when in privacy with wife.
All of our actions are meant and aimed at satisfying the appetities and desires of three areas of body; the chest; the middle part stomach; and the pelvic area. Qur'aan as guide must tell us as to how we satisfy the appetities of these areas and about those acts which are beyond the limits permissible for us with regard to these three areas. This is all categorized under social conduct.
Nothing is at our discretion to determine what is good and bad. Good and bad is explained in Qur'aan. We have to remain within the bounds prescribed by Qur'aan for salvation.

Peace Mazhar,
Unfortunately I do not share your interpretation. God guides as He pleases and it needs no book for that. You can find out about God without a book.
Guidance is something else and not the Quran. The Quran is a Guide and God's exact wordings, but Guidance is something you receive interactively through the Holy Spirit according to God's Will. You can be guided without the Quran.
And the Quran can lead you astray if you receive no Guidance and do not seek protection from the evil one. Also lots of people read Quran but do not understand it.
The Book is a book, it does not guide anyone without God. Guidance in my definition is through the Holy Spirit. It does not have to be a large dose of it but simply a healthy infusion to get rolling.
God may say Quran is your guidance, but then it means as a Guide. It is a source of information, but should still be separated from something you receive by the Holy Spirit.
So you believe God does not care about "the little people"? He does not care about them and He leaves them to the Quran and their own fate?
Nay do I say, He blesses whom He pleases among the people, especially those who do as I have written in my thread "Nearness and Guidance -> Knowledge and Wisdom = Peace and Prosperity", unfortunately I cannot easily link to it from this device. God interacts with those who put their trust in Him through inspiration and He is always with them as long as they follow Him.
God bless you

Peace Man of Faith,
Standard accepted convention is that the Book guides in timeline. While despatching us to the Earth as autanomous species enjoying freedom of choice, Allah the Exalted had said that we will be guided by Him through His Verbal Communication. He did not mention that the people will be having their personal "holy spirits".
Man is free to select whatever he likes. Allah's guidance is solely the Book, whom He the Exalted calls "My verbal communications".
-
Peace,
There is no such personal Holy Spirit, it is belonging to God.
You are entitled to your opinion. I feel you are limiting yourself with your perception. But God is not limited to His Book and He is interacting with us on a daily basis.
There is so much proof of God's presence in our lives both in the present and in the past. I cannot understand you have not noticed it by reading Quran.
God bless you

Allah the Exalted is omnipresent. It does not mean that He guides in person. He has given the way that one should guide oneself. And that is His Book containing His Speech-Words. Holy spirt if reffered to the Angel, then let me clarify he has nothing to do with guiding people.

Sorry Bender, you merely see the words and in your imagination draw a conclusion. You do not see the text and the structure.
Alhuda is Qur'aan.
The month of Ramadan is the month during which the Qur'aan was compositely; flash descended.
It is a guidance for the people; and distinctly self explanatory verbal passages were gradually communicated from the miscellany of Al-Huda'a the Guide and Al-Furqau'n the Criterion; the Separator of right from wrong, fact from falsity-conjecture.Qur'aan describes the fact for the entire timeline. Qur'aan was thereafter revealed gradually. Whatever was coming it was coming from the Qur'aan.

As for the rest, I am a bit shocked that one who has so much knowledge in arabic grammar can not grasp such a simple thing.
is hudan equal to AlHuda?
is bayyinatin mina AlHuda equal to AlHuda?Salaam,

I repeat same what you quoted my post. You need to study basic conventions of reading a text. Text has a timeline. AlHuda is the Book of Allah. And a book has miscellany of verbal passages of various types of texts. bayyinatin mina AlHuda seems to you three words whereas it is not like that. See the translation.
However, would you like to answer the question of the thread? Whom you consider your ?
