    Peace,

Sorry, but Jesus is Jesus, or Isa in its mother tongue, to me. Jesus was not crucified on the cross, the people were made to believe they killed him on the cross. I find this talk about Isa not being Jesus the prophet of the Gospel just a conspiracy theory to further nullify traditional religious belief, the same as some who want to erase Muhammad from history.

There is talk about Isaiha or John (Yahya) in the Bible, but I am sure they are each their individual persons.

The Gospel versions are man-made testimonies of what happened during Jesus life. While somewhat corrupted, its fundamental Message is the same as the Truth.

    God bless you

Please see prof. Bart D. Erman for more info about gospels...

      Peace mmmm,

I may do so at some point, unless I already have and forgotten I did. I know they are not always giving the correct information and I know Jesus was sometimes confused with Isaiha or John the Baptist. But I have not based my understanding that Jesus is Isa based on the Bible but from Quran.

I find it just a conspiracy that Jesus is not the Jesus as talked of in all existing literature. Although I am not impossible, I may take a look at the work of this professor you referred to.

      God bless you

        Peace all.

Yes according to the Quran Isa was not crucified in the cross (salib) instead another people who likened like Isa was crucified. Some muffasir says if it's Judas Iskariot who crucified.

Some sources also says if Isa is not Yesus, so it can be say if that Yesus Christ is false Prophet and the real son of Maryam is Isa Al Masih.

          Peace Earthdom,

I still call it a big conspiracy theory. Jesus was not crucified, they were made to believe that he was crucified. But this prophet is the traditional prophet.

            Peace Man of Faith.

I found some evidences if Jesus and Isa is different person.

I will not show you the evidences because most of my literature is in Indonesian language instead just try browsing then you may found it.

              Peace,

I will try to take a look at it, but it would certainly make the Quran contradict itself in my opinion.

                  Peace drfazl,

Thanks brother. Unfortunately I think it will take a few days until I write the next one. I need absolute concentration when I write them and I do not have that right now. Besides I am on a travel right now.

I hope you have patience to wait. These posts I treat separately from all the replies I make to other threads.

                    Peace supportpeacenotwar,

I am sorry. I should have known. Yeah, I understand what you mean.

I use English pretty much all the time, but I can always get better of course. Although all time spent with course books and other literature helps I guess. I have spent pretty much my whole life with English.

I ought not to brag, I try to see it as I am only a little better than I used to be. I am still far behind the best. Only sad thing is that my skill in my mother tongue is deteriorating since I speak less Swedish these days.

I stopped using contractions in forum posts for additional clarity, but I use them in conversation, and when I write a PM sometimes. Sometimes the written language even feels strange without them, but I am stubbornly continuing like this.

                    God bless you

(sorry I haven't replied to your PM yet, sister)

                    Peace Earthdom,

I try to express myself as clearly as possible although I tend to use formal words sometimes. You are right, little to no slang words or idioms.

Your English is understandable, but often the word order can be a bit off or an inappropriate word slips into your sentences, or there are verbs put in the wrong tense. It is called collocation. And at one point you said you 'demand an apology' which is pretty offensive/impolite or shows you are angry. I understood you meant you wished someone to accept your apology though. Thanks to being exposed to the most absurd sentences at work I can usually decipher even the most incorrect of sentences.

                    God bless you

                    Peace Man of Faith,

Replying to the PM - don't worry about it. I get it.

                      Peace justamuslim,

Shifts (of angels) take turns, staying with each one of you?they are in front
of you and behind you. They stay with you, and guard you in accordance with GOD's
commands. Thus, GOD does not change the condition of any people unless they
themselves make the decision to change. If GOD wills any hardship for any people,
no force can stop it. For they have none beside Him as Lord and Master.

GOD does not change a blessing He has bestowed upon any people
unless they themselves decide to change. GOD is Hearer, Omniscient.

When they went (to Joseph), they entered in accordance with their father's
instructions. Although this could not change anything decreed by GOD, Jacob had a
private reason for asking them to do this. For he possessed certain knowledge that
we taught him, but most people do not know.

GOD may change the animosity between you and them into love.
GOD is Omnipotent. GOD is Forgiver, Most Merciful.

                      ONE DEEN

                      peace

so the highlighted areas are what I do not understand. Those ayats essentially mean that it is pointless to pray for other people (ie they are doing something wrong, or they feel a certain way about an issue and therefore behave in a certain way etc...) because God will not change their outlook or perspective or heart without them acknowledging the desire to change?? And on the same note, since everything is pre-planned, what is the point in praying for things in your life (not material things but situations) when they are already destined to happen a certain way?
(i.e someone develops terminal cancer..what is the point in praying for a recovery or healing if they are going to die anyway?

Then Ive read (from spiritualists) that if you talk to and pray to the "Universe" ...aka God?... you can manifest your destiny or the outcome of a situation etc, because the universe will respond to you...? but either prayer makes physical changes in this world or it does not. Either God intervenes or He does not. And if prayer does not change anything then it is solely for the purpose of communion with God (and because He asks us to do it) right or wrong?

As Ive read in scripture, if something is not in "God's will" aka his plan, then it won't come to pass. And also that God knows what is best so when things don't happen it is because we cannot see the whole picture and it wasn't good for us anyway.
Then I've read that "well if you develop a close relationship with God then His Will will automatically become yours, and therefore things you pray for will be in alignment with what He wants for you".

But no Angels or spirits every come down from the Heavens to let me know if I am on the right track. Aside from the generic blueprint to "live righetously, and give and do what you can to/for others" there are a lot of other issues in life that need responses or directive...and if you pray to God for help and don't receive it (speaking for myself, most of the time I don't receive a clear directive), then you must decide on your own accord what to do..so then what is the point in it all?

I just feel like it is a waste of time and energy to put so much hope and belief into prayer if it was never designed to be used in such a capacity. Id rather have no hope then false hope.

And if God doesn't change the condition of someone until they decide to change...then who is really doing the changing? Me or God? (i.e I'm hungry and I am sitting in a chair and I want to get some food from the kitchen...God isn't going to magically slide the chair that I am sitting on into the kitchen and open the fridge and hand me food. I have to decide to stand up and go walk into the kitchen for myself. So I am the one who made the change then no?
Does that analogy make sense or is it too simplistic?

                        Peace tigress,

I am sorry you feel this way. I can see my belief is incompatible with yours since in my system God is always near and will listen to our prayers. Also I can understand it is easy to fall to this conclusion if one gives up too fast instead of continuing with steadfastness and patience. And thus God will not offer His weighty Message that He is with you.

My thread was intended to help people see that we need to build up a certain level of Nearness before we will see results in our relationship to God. Our Creator first tests our intelligence and test us in many other ways such as through patience and steadfastness. This does not say that God does not do anything prior to this, but then we have to be perceptive and keep an open mind.

As my thread tries to teach; when we have Nearness we will pretty much automatically also have Guidance. Greater Nearness may mean that God will show signs in our daily lives, often small and subtle, but the optimist will surely see them.

When we are gaining the next level, Knowledge and Wisdom, the previous part of the chain will have become strengthened, and I am sure most of those blessed with this level of awareness will see miracles pretty much on a daily basis.

Not to mention when you reach the third category, Peace and Prosperity, as then you will see a boost in provisions and those good things in life.

                        God bless you

Yes I agree with you --God does hear and see everything there is no question on that. I can't say that our beliefs are incompatible, I am just trying to know what is possible and what is not. I know patience is important but at some point there is diminishing returns. Either something is going to happen or it is not; and no amount of faith or patience is going to change something that is not in written in Gods book IMO.
Thanks for taking time to make this thread and I will continue to read

                            Please read surah 18/60-82

There are layers of reality that we are not privy to, not even Moses. I think surah
18 60/82 is a beginning in our quest to understand how prayer fits into our reality.

                                    1. No misfortune can happen on earth or in your souls but is recorded in a decree before We bring it into existence That is truly easy for Allah

                                    2. No affliction comes about but by Allah's permission; and whoever believes in Allah, He guides aright his heart; and Allah is Cognizant of all things.

It is not pre-recorded, but recorded - evreything in your souls.......e.t.c

No affliction comes but by permission of Allah, according to circumstances......nothing about a pre-record .......

                                    or is that wrong?

                                      Peace dear brother 357,

I will look that up more specifically later. To be honest, I would rather things were like you said since it seems more in harmony that way. But those Muslims that believe strongly in fate think differently.

But I think it is a false security to depend too much on one's fate.

Actions in life make a difference and we are born with free will, that is what I believe. But God may have laid out a destiny for us, I believe that too. If He wants us to follow something He decided no one can prevent that.

                                      God bless you

That was not my translation but a cut and paste of the verse. Can you explain your conclusion?
Can you read this para 1 & 2 of my post http//free-minds.org/forum/index.php?topic=9604771.msg330991#msg330991 and see if there is an explanation to 5722?

                                          Peace drfazl,

Sorry for being confusing dear brother. While I believe in free will and actions, I also think this is what we are made to believe and feel about our existence. God knows everything and it would be to humiliate His grand intelligence to say otherwise. I tried to convey in another thread that I believe that God is able to work on several levels of awareness at the same time, beyond our ability to comprehend. At the same time, we have free will to make choices in our lives, but God always gets what He wills, there is no doubt about that.

If we cannot make choices in life then this trial is redundant, irrelevant. No, we have free will and can consciously disobey God and wreak havoc, however God can put an end to that any instant since He is omnipotent and aware of everything which happens down on atom level. God is in total control and we cannot escape His Knowledge of everything. Our deeds have dire consequences and God's plans are seamlessly applied to our running "game" world.

God created souls of energy which he inserted into our living bodies which are mortal while our bodies are eternal unless God decides to destroy them is where my philosophies go.

But that everything is already decided before we start would be making this trial redundant, not necessary. It is against logic. God also says he wants to expose the hypocrites and company.

                                          God bless you
