The only difference between Christians and Sunnis is that... Christians openly worship Jesus. Sunnis won't admit it, but they worship Muhammad.

    salaam+

How can you make such a false statement,"Sunnis won't admit it, but they worship Muhammad.". On what bases do you make such a statement? Do you worship lies, but will not admit it?

i think Mohammed worshiped God alone. Im sure about that.

But of cause he worshiped God alone. That is why you are now worshiping God alone just as others are now on this forum also making the same proclamations of worshiping God alone. Your and their fore fathers were idol worshipers and then God sent muhammad(S+) with the religion of truth to destroy falsehood and all forms of worship besides God. There is nothing uncertain about this. Scholars and historians are agreed upon this.

Just follow the people in your mosque, but do not mention other than ALLAAH, swt, in your salaat and ATHZAAN.
        Peace,
        Khalil

What!!!!! you want me to follow the head sheep among the heard ???
        you advice returned

All I was trying to get across is that the verse 2238 sets the minimum number of daily ritual prayers/SALAATS at 5 times a day, and I am SURE about that
        .
You maybe sure about it but I have No DOUBT about Slaa anymore I learned, step by step first thing this morning from His knowledge.
May ALLAAH guide all to learn of His knowledge inshaa ALLAAH

Finishing congregational salaat you turn your face to the person on your right and say "Assalaamu alaykum wa rahhmatullaah", then to the one on your left and say the same, like its been practiced for centuries from the beginning

Again!!!! a sheep turning head to greet another sheep?
Now my question for you who to say salaam turning head if the sheep is praying on his own?

I don't quite understand this question

        I am not surprised.
        Respected brother,
I wrote to you in the post just above your this reply regarding 'dhakir' which you ignored, I read many of your post and do sense your passion for knowledge I see in your Reply 31 above a mixed up between Slaa and dhkir, this time allow me to give you reference from the Qur?aan 4103 And when you have completed the prayer, remember Allah standing, sitting, or on your sides .......
        Bit of my understanding below

        Requirement for Slaa you need ;

        1. Before Slaa
a.) wadu / purification of bodily side
b.) Clear mind free from all sorts of intoxicant so that you know what you are saying.

a.) As you raise your hand to your head to start saying ALLAAHu Akbar you disconnect from world around and your face, nafs/mind focused on qibla
b.) your outward/ bodily actions signify greater depth regarding signs and number of raka dealing with calculations etc, which I am praying to learn that soon insha?ALLAAH

dhkir/ ALLAAH's REMEMBRANCE and His COMMEMORATION

        a) No requirement for wadu and as you are in the middle of mixing up with world around you, do zikr in that state ie remember your creator.
        b) No formal action/positions required.

        salaam +

In islaam there are five prayers when at rest and 3 when in motion ( e.g. traveling).

          At rest there are

          1. prayer time 1
          2. prayer time 2
          3. prayer time 3
          4. prayer time 4
          5. prayer time 5

          When in motion there are

          1. prayer time 1 + prayer time 2 (united in one)
          2. prayer time 3
          3. prayer time 4 + prayer time 5 (united in one)

Every prayer has a meaning why it is performed.

                you advice returned.

                Salaam Dear Sister,

Please remember, our discussion here is about SALAAT, how many times a day, how to perform it, when to perform it, and so on. When I said just follow the people in your mosque, I meant follow the way they perform the daily SALAATS, except that YOU do NOT mention or commemorate anyone in YOUR's but ALLAAH, swt. Other than that there is no difference between our DAILY SALAAT and their. Also, when you do ATHZAAN, do just the same, don't call anyone's name but ALLAAH, swt in YOUR athzaan. That is all.

Again!!!! a sheep turning head to greet another sheep?

Again!!! The ULTIMATE judge is ALLAAH, swt. I personally cannot allow myself to sit in judgment of others. GOD gives life, GOD guides, GOD causes death, GOD resurrects us all if He wills, and He is the ULTIMATE JUDGE between us, inshaaALLAAH. All we can do is to follow the principle of "VICE and VIRTUE" toward others and ask GOD that He guides us all to His straight path.

Now my question for you who to say salaam turning head if the sheep is praying on his own?

The servant of GOD (the "SHEEP" in your words) can still turns face to right and left, saying "Assalaamu alaykum wa rahhmatullaah" and finishes the sallaat. Now if it doesn't make sense to YOU, you can say "SUBHHAANALLAAH" instead. It is still "ZIKR" of ALLAAH, swt.

                Respected brother,
I wrote to you in the post just above your this reply regarding 'dhakir' which you ignored, I read many of your post and do sense your passion for knowledge I see in your Reply 31 above a mixed up between Slaa and dhkir, this time allow me to give you reference from the Qur?aan 4103 And when you have completed the prayer, remember Allah standing, sitting, or on your sides .......

                b) No formal action/positions required.

1st I could not find any other meaning for the word "ZIKR/DHIKR", but "remembrance", "mentioning", "speaking of", "talking about", and "commemoration".

2nd You are correct. One can do ZIKR or remember ALLAAH, swt, at all times without any preparation.

3rd Performing SALLAAT on the other hand, as you mentioned requires certain preparations, but ZIKR is still an integral part of every daily SALAAT. We need to do ZIKR of ALLAAH, swt, during our SALAAT, while standing, bowing down, prostrating, and sitting.

                Peace,
                Khalil

                  Al Amiyr,
You say that it's 5 times prayer during normal circumstances. And 3 times (combining 2/3 & 4/5) during travel or times of danger. Then how do you explain this Hadith which is what your religion considers "Sahih"?

Muslim, Book 4, Number 1515?Ibn 'Abbas reported The Messenger of Allah (may peace be upon him) observed the noon and afternoon prayers together, and the sunset and Isha' prayers together without being in a state of fear or in a state of journey.?

Could it be that your "Sahih" books lack clarity, contain contradictions and therefore can't be 100% "Sahih"?

                    salaam brother

Thank you for your kind words, I've been so busy, copying and pasting my first lesson with al-amiyr today on Jumma ) that I did not get around to replying to you until now. I hope you take time to read my first proper lesson with al-amiyr which I intend to post tomorrow insha'ALLAAH.
Firstly I used the sheep's example for two reasons; one that sheep follow the heard, and secondly sheep set a good example in how it submits to be slaughtered, when the name of ALLAAH is pronounced.
Secondly I say salaam when ending my prayer and nowadays I understand the reason behind it, I also read in the Qur'aan to finish my prayers with greetings, but you have given me no reasons why you say salaam when there is no one around but the person doing prayer?
Finally I am not sure if you saw my thread, but many are avoiding to discuss this subject understand reason behind
When greeting each other muslims say
                    as_salaamu "alaykum warahmatullaahi wabarakaatuhu
                    Return
wa "alaykum-us-salaam wa rahmatullaahi wa barakaatuhu

muslims also send peace and rahmah in post salah salutation, "as_salaamu "alaykum/ warahmatullaahi wabarakaatuhu"

But what does salaam, rahma or rahmatul-lil "alaamiyn imply/mean?

secondly what does one understand from
allahumma salli ala Muhammad wallah ali Muhammad
cama salaita ala Ibrahim wallah ali Ibrahim
wa barik ala Muhammad wallah ali ala Muhammad
cama barakta ala Ibrahim wallah ali Ibrahim
                    fil alamina inntaka hamidon Majid

                          salaam++ my respected Imam

You are too busy to check the two PMs I sent you in your forum, one was what I discovered this morning and the second was my excitement about finally understanding Salaah, yay

It happened when two JW missionaries came knocking on our door, and I invited them in, as I have great respect for them. They go out seeking to inform about Jehovah/Jahve, and people treat them so badly. We had a good chat, and they were amazed how similar our beliefs are. They kept saying the people will speak an alien language; at the same time insisting we read the Bible in English. I tried to explain to them that that is precisely the problem, but you know how difficult it is to get your point through to JW.
As we were talking this lady made a comparison of the straight and narrow path and the crooked path with her hand, the way of the righteous. This reminded me of the diagramme you made, in one of your last lessons here, and there it was; my answer that I have been struggling to understand for all this time! I finally cracked the code!!

Next step was simple; just refer to our lesson with you, and copy and paste them here -[

As hadith say if you take one step towards ALLAAH He takes ten steps towards you, and there is similar passage in the Qur'an too, but I can remember the verse at the moment.

May ALLAAH guide us all further to the straight road inshaa ALLAAH

                          salaam

I sent @al-amiyr A PM some six months or more, asking the explanation of the Salat from his knowledge and claims of knowing the Secret Book.
                            I never received an answer...

is there agreement on the number of prayers? 3 or 5? i am still confused on this matter. is it that 5 times are mentioned in Quran but only 3 were made obligatory? or that 5 obligatory prayers were mentioned. or is this matter unimportant detail? i dont know if anyone has used this site as reference but i just came across it--this author advocates for 5.

                                Requirement for Slaa you need ;

                                1. Before Slaa
a.) wadu / purification of bodily side
b.) Clear mind free from all sorts of intoxicant so that you know what you are saying.

a.) As you raise your hand to your head to start saying ALLAAHu Akbar you disconnect from world around and your face, nafs/mind focused on qibla
b.) your outward/ bodily actions signify greater depth regarding signs and number of raka dealing with calculations etc, which I am praying to learn that soon insha?ALLAAH

dhkir/ ALLAAH's REMEMBRANCE and His COMMEMORATION

                                a) No requirement for wadu and as you are in the middle of mixing up with world around you, do zikr in that state ie remember your creator.
                                b) No formal action/positions required.

                                salaam +

I have recently read a new idea I never heard which argues it not so correct to say Allahu Akbar because of some literacy technicality --this blogpost goes into detail
                                http//teddy3indc.com/2013/07/01/do-not-say-allah-akbar/--

for those of you who are native arabic speakers is it better to say Allahu Kabiru or Allahu Takbiru?
