    Peace DrGm,

According to mmkhan, the you in 5/3 is plural i.e., meaning group, therefore ayat 5/3
is not referring to an individual but to a group. see link below

    http//free-minds.org/forum/index.php?topic=9605723.msg335670#msg335670

    God bless

    peace

    peace hawk99,

even if we take that, when addressed to a group, it is again for the individual in the group.

1995 - And everyone of them will come to Him singly on the Day of Judgment.

    peace

<a href="http//free-minds.org/forum/index.php?topic=9605723.msg335750#msg335750">Unconditional freedom</a> in matter of faith etc.
and no division in the society, irrespective of their religions.

          To every nation
We appointed acts of devotion <-- Does it really matter to us how they perform their prayers?
          which they observe (<a href="http//quran.com/5/101-105">5101-105</a&gt
therefore they should not dispute with you about the matter

and call to your Lord <-- Deen of Islam
most surely you are on a right way <-- just and balance (<a href="http//quran.com/3/67-68">367-68</a&gt

And if they contend with you, say
Allah best knows what you do
Allah will judge between you <-- Let Allah be the Judge, and never ever associating
on the day of resurrection ourselves with Allah. Always mind our own business.
respecting that in which you differ <-- no division (<a href="http//free-minds.org/forum/index.php?topic=9605723.msg335855#msg335855">42</a&gt

except for those who commit injustice among them, and say

"We believe in that which has been revealed to us
          and revealed to you
And our God <-- Interesting! The issue is why Allah command us to say this to the disbelievers?
          and your God
          is one
and we are Muslims to Him." <-- If obedience to Allah is not the real issue,
(<a href="http//quran.com/29/46">2946</a&gt then what is the real issue in life?

          O you who believe!

Be upright for Allah <-- just and balance (<a href="http//quran.com/3/67-68">367-68</a&gt
          bearers of witness with justice

and let not hatred of a people
incite you not to act equitably
act equitably <-- being fair and impartial
          that is nearer to piety

and be careful of (your duty to) Allah <-- obedience, while works toward achieving unity
surely Allah is Aware of what you do <-- Allah knows who are the hypocrites and believers.
          (<a href="http//quran.com/5/8">58</a&gt

It is also to observe that the Believer in "Sunnatullah" and "Unity", and the ?Nation of the Deen? is not necessarily the so-called Muslim.

I do not use anyone's translation. What are the differences between the two by the usages 1) A khalif and 2) My khalif. What are their functions?

            Salaamun alayka,

"a successor" and "My successor" are not the same.
Is there anyone who can succeed Allah?

Is it quite possible you could have misunderstood while judging others. Definitely each one's understanding should be different and in each one his understanding varies between different moments.

I don't judge you I only say what I think, like you are saying what you think. If you do not agree with me that is totally ok with me handshake

Before that if only you had pondered the meanings of 297, 298 and the Malayika mentioned therein and the makayikas mentioned in 4131 & 32, you would have turned to Allah to pose this question and not to me. Surely He guides whom He wills. Unless you believe in Malayika, after belief in Allah and the Last Day, there is no way to understand the Book even and cannot believe in the prophets too. 2177. Believing in the Malayika is third pre-requisite to strengthen our IMAN.

RED I do not understand. I am simply asking you a question like you asked me above this question "1) A khalif and 2) My khalif. What are their functions?"

This place as become too crowded and distracting. I think we meet again at some place where there is less crowd.

            Salam

            handshake

            salaam,

The Qur'an Alone or Allah Alone is no use for our salvation...

Alhamdu -> All praises and thanks -> for what? -> how? -> prostrate to Adam (who? - <a href="http//free-minds.org/forum/index.php?topic=9605723.msg335753#msg335753">7172</a&gt
-> deen -> dayn -> creation is our "debt" -> debt settlement
              (root) (our burden of proof)
              -return with profit, or
              -return as bankrupt

Then and when our debts are settled...

lillahi rabbi alAAalameen -> (be) to Allah, the Lord of the universe.

We will know what is the reality, universe and what is Allah. We are able to return our Shahada, and not as hypocrites; ie. those who will not benefit from the Shahada and no matter how many times he may have made that statement during his life.

              Then...

Say Shall We inform you of the greatest losers in (their) deeds?

              (These are) they whose labor
is lost in this world's life
              and they think
that they are well versed in skill of the work of hands

              These are they who disbelieve
in the communications of their Lord and His meeting
              so their deeds become null
and therefore We will not set up a balance for them
              on the day of resurrection.

Thus it is that their recompense is hell

              because they disbelieved
              and held My communications
              and My messengers
              in mockery
              (<a href="http//quran.com/18/103-106">18103-106</a&gt

                that keep to obedience
                and be not divided therein

                Now the question....

                1. Can we claim more privilege than the Prophet?

                2. Can you prove that we are allowed to ignore the "DO NOT" prohibition
and still entitle to call ourselves a Muslim?

Indeed, those who deny Our verses
                and are arrogant toward them
the gates of Heaven will not be opened for them
                nor will they enter Paradise
until a camel enters into the eye of a needle
And thus do We recompense the criminals
                (<a href="http//quran.com/7/40">740</a&gt

It is impossible for a camel to enters into the eye of a needle.

Therefore, it is impossible for <a href="http//free-minds.org/forum/index.php?topic=9605723.msg335266#msg335266">people who (iqtiqad to) disobey Allah</a> to enter Paradise. (<a href="http//quran.com/4/17-18">417-18</a&gt

Equally, it may also be impossible for them to be on the right path or receiving guidance from Allah.

Such has been the course of Allah that has indeed run before
and you shall not find a change in Allah's course
                (<a href="http//quran.com/48/23">4823</a&gt

                And We said
"O Adam, dwell, you and your wife, in Paradise
and eat therefrom in abundance from wherever you will
But DO NOT approach this tree <-- The Sunnatullah?
lest you be among the wrongdoers"

But Satan caused them to slip out of it <-- Breach of Sunnatullah
                and removed them from that
                in which they had been

Surely this is indeed what is the evident trial
                  (<a href="http//quran.com/37/106">37106</a&gt

                  Do the people think
that they will be left to say,
                  "We believe"
and they will not be tried?

But We have certainly tried those before them
and Allah will surely make evident
                  those who are truthful
and He will surely make evident
                  the liars

Or do those who do evil deeds think they can outrun Us?
                  Evil is what they judge
                  (<a href="http//quran.com/29/2-4">292-4</a&gt

                  Or do you think
                  that you will enter Paradise
while such has not yet come to you
as came to those who passed on before you?

                  They were touched by poverty
                  and hardship
                  and were shaken
                  until messenger
and those who believed with him said
"When is the help of Allah ?"
Unquestionably, the help of Allah is near

"a successor" and "My successor" are not the same.
Is there anyone who can succeed Allah?

                      Salam Bender,

Sorry for interrupting but you are comparing Allah with Adam in a same category, and I just wondering where does it say in the Qur'an that Allah belongs to the category of a "Successor"?

This is so since this category or the word successor indicates that Allah "inherits" His authority or He can be replaced or substituted.

Nor is there to Him any equivalent. (1124)

I believe the word successor is referring to the following facts, They (angels) said, "Will You place upon it one who causes corruption therein and sheds blood" (<a href="http//quran.com/2/30">230</a&gt. Thus, Adam (and his descendants) are part of His creation and which succeeds those who have come before them.

                      Peace brother.

                        What is good or bad?

The pleasure of healthiness are to those who are sick/disabled
The pleasure of prettiness are to those who are ugly

                        Why do we sweat?
and so as all other problems we are facing today.
Allah Alone or reading Qur'an Alone will not solve this problem, it is "Theoretical" in nature.

It is the fulfillment of "Alhamdu" that will lead us to real success (believe and do righteous deeds).

except for those who believe and do righteous deeds - and few are they.

                          Islamic Aid

                          The Story of Islamic Aid
by Mahmood Hassan, Founder and Chairman of Islamic Aid

I was born and brought up in some of the most deprived areas of Pakistan. During my childhood, I once lived with my grandparents in village 114/15-L, near Mianchannun. My village did not have a school. Each morning I set off on my journey to a neighbouring village so I could go to school. Aged only eight years I walked more than 7km every day so I could receive an education. There were no roads at all ? just a dirt track. The landscape was baron ? and not the green backdrop which is there today. My journey to and from school.

Not only was the journey hot and dusty, it was filled with fear. At such a young age I had no idea who ? or what ? I would encounter on the way to school, something, I believe, no child should encounter, something that has stayed with me 36 years on, something I do not want other children to encounter.

But I was one of the lucky ones; while not from a very rich family we were not steeped in poverty. I was able to do extremely well in my studies; always secured top positions and won Gold Medals, merit scholarships in almost all my exams.

This was in MBA from Bahauddin Zakariya University, Multan that I secured first position throughout the university and won Gold Medal and Government of Pakistan merit scholarship for studies abroad, that enabled me to come to the UK for studies. I did my MBA from Imperial College, University of London. I initially worked as a lecturer in Marketing and Strategic Management at the same university and later in the commercial sector.

It was in 1993-94, during the Bosnian crisis, that I became interested in charities working for the cause at that time. This then led me to initially volunteer and later work in the sector for a few years.

                          Beginnings of Islamic Aid

When I started my own business in 1998 and felt settled, I knew I wanted to give something back to my community. I knew I didn?t want others to face the same hardships I had, not to face the same fears I did on my long journey to school ? and on the way home. I started a school in my village to help provide children quality education, free of fear and on their door-step. It was here that the seeds of Islamic Aid were sown, a charity that has gone from strength to strength, helping tens of thousands of children in parts of Asia, Africa and Europe access quality education, health-care and the skills and means to their parents so they can earn a decent living. First school I established in my village.

I established Islamic Aid in 2000. I wanted to use my business expertise and experience of the charity sector to give something back to the community I had once belonged.

Yet during the charity?s infancy of its first year, the world watched in horror as we saw terrorist attacks in New York, where families were devastated as people lost their lives in the twin tower attacks.

Understandably, this was a difficult time for Muslim charities ? both established and new ? as the media and public began to question why they existed. Such charities were viewed with suspicion as people questioned what activities they may be funding.

For me personally, things did not end there. As the twin-towers collapsed so did one of my major business projects; that was set to be launched in November 2001 to offer Islamic banking in the UK and internationally. From the position of having a very robust business plan, very supportive business partnerships and venture capital in place and a forecast of more than ?500 million under management in 4th year, I saw everything melted away in the tide of opinion against anything Islamic. While it was a big disaster for me and my business, for Islamic Aid it probably was a major turning point that I was able to give my increased attention to the charity.

While internationally it was very difficult time to run a charity with Islamic name, but it made me more determined to succeed and to show the importance of helping poor communities, many of whom had little idea of what the world may be thinking.

Today, alhamdullilah, I have my own successful business; Islamic Aid is growing very fast ? already achieved an annual turnover of ?3.3 million and recruited 67,000 donors; have established Islamic Aid in the US and we continue to expand our support to projects in parts of Africa, Asia and Europe. These successes also enabled me to support as a Trustee the cause of poverty alleviation through other charities like Practical Action, (www.practicalaction.org) and Pakistan Foundation. And, I want every child in the world to be successful.

                            100% Obedience Towards human unity

Why human unity is of primary importance to achieve the objective of "Successorship"?

                            Proof?

Because on the matter of earth and creation
Allah commands the angels and Iblees to prostrate to Adam (human - successorship)
                            Both are prostrating to Allah.

                            Elements

                            1. Allah's command
(The objective of Allah's command in its context is related to the importance of successorship.
So as the Qur'an, where almost the whole content is about humanity and other living creatures
on earth; ie. successorship. The Qur'an is not about Allah, but it is about His creations.)

                            2. Adam (human - successorship)

                            Facts

                            1. Angels prostrate to human (successorship) -> Representing the Believers
                              (Initially they question Allah's command - 2.30)

                            2. Iblees refused to prostrate to successorship -> Representing the Disbelievers
                              "..Iblees. He refused
                              and was arrogant
and became of the disbelievers.." (2.34)

Compared to today's world, which category we belongs to?
ie. where more than 90% or 100% is about Allah and less than 10% about humanity as a whole.

                            What does Adam represent?

Human ... all of us and regardless of religion, background, caste, race, socio-economic background etc.

                            And when your Lord
took from the children of Adam
                            from their loins
                            their descendants
and made them testify of themselves
, "Am I not your Lord?"
They said, "Yes, we have testified."

                            • lest you should say on the day of Resurrection
"Indeed, we were of this unaware"
                              (7172)

                            Conclusion

The objective is not about Allah, and no one knows what is Allah,
"..Nor is there to Him any equivalent.." (112.4)

The importance of obedience to Allah is primarily relevant to the matter of achieving human unity.

Hablum Minallah towards achieving Hablum Minannas
as a whole and this is the Deen of Islam (vs. Religion of Islam -> Allah Alone for our salvation).

                            100% Obedience -> -> -> Towards human unity
                            (Theoretical) (Practicality)

The Qur'an Alone or Allah Alone is no use for our salvation...

                              Facts comparison

                              Argument

                              What is good or bad?
                              ...
                              and so on...
and it will increase or decrease accordingly... just and balance.

Therefore, it makes no difference of becoming rich, poor or etc (illusion),
                              but all these are related to our level of self satisfaction and "Alhamdu";
i.e. fulfillment of Deen, raising or decreasing our awareness to our duty (Deen/Dayn/Debt/Duty <a href="http//free-minds.org/forum/index.php?topic=9605723.msg335480#msg335480">and...</a&gt.

I want every child in the world to be successful.

Human Life = Duty Awareness Program = Deen of Islam

                              Qur'an = Introductory Book = Manual = Guidance

                              The example of those
who were entrusted with the Torah
and then did not take it on
                              is like that

Some thoughts and from the Duty Awareness Program, can each of us discover our life purpose?

The one that Allah want us to be and easy for us to be successful?

The one that Allah want us to be and easy for us to be successful?

                                Peace Brother,

Can you make people to Muslims by Movement or by Aid etc ?. They think they are doing good things but actually the People change ?
Are you preaching Islam 5 times Prayer ? Is that so you are following ? Does it bring results ?
Can u explain practically what your aid does ?.

Whats is your Quran Ayaths related to Movements?. The Book has the solutions for everything.

                                  Salam jhonsonmustafa,

No offense intended, but I don't quite understand what is your point.

                                  Peace brother.

What is wrong with "benefiting humanity" or even a "group to benefit humanity"?

There is no religion and it is not about to spread Islam, since Islam is not a religion. It is about to spread peace, harmony and unity in the society. It's about benefiting humanity, kindness to His creation and giving to relatives. This is how people from different backgrounds and traditions are able to accept Islam by our Prophet Muhammad pbuh. Unconditional acceptance (respect) of world religious practices and balancing what is just to every living creatures. This is "Din of Islam".

Quite simply, it is a book all about us, discussing our creation, purpose, history, spirituality, psyche, life's big questions, justice, governance etc. It is a guide on how to realise our potential, individually and collectively, if one chooses to seek this path; http//www.misconceptions-about-islam.com/more.htm

                                      Thanks

So as the Qur'an, where almost the whole content is about humanity and other living creatures
on earth; ie. successorship. The Qur'an is not about Allah, but it is about His creations.)

<a href="http//free-minds.org/forum/index.php?topic=9605723.msg335950#msg335950">Pleasure</a> appears good but we cannot ignore reasoning about what is really good; according to the Qur'an - "I know that which you do not know" (<a href="http//quran.com/2/30">230</a&gt.

For the above reason we are able to say that there is a deep connection between "<a href="http//free-minds.org/forum/index.php?topic=9605723.msg335950#msg335950">pleasure</a>" (from good or bad) and the Qur'an. The understanding of this connection depends entirely on our ability to understand life as explained in the Qur'an ... to understand the Qur'an objectively, i.e. successorship and towards human unity (Adam).

Say He has power to send torment on you
                                        from above
                                        or from under your feet
or to cover you with confusion in party strife
                                        and make you to taste
the violence of one another <- against unity
See how variously We explain the Ayat
                                        so that they may understand.
                                        (<a href="http//quran.com/6/65">665</a&gt

Thus it is reasonable to claim our life is the "Dictionary" for the Qur'an and it requires fulfillment of certain conditions before we are able to use our dictionary. It requires us to shut off the "<a href="http//free-minds.org/forum/index.php?topic=9605723.msg335263#msg335263">gods and ulemas inside us</a>" (shirk).

                                        Have you seen
he who has taken as his god his desire
and Allah has sent him astray due to knowledge
                                        and has set a seal
                                        upon his hearing
                                        and his heart
and put over his vision a veil?
So who will guide him after Allah?
Then will you not be reminded?
                                        (<a href="http//quran.com/45/23">4523</a&gt

Indeed, IT IS A NOBLE QURAN.
In a protected Book. <- Dictionary -> our life experiences
                                        None can grasp it
                                        except
                                        those purified (<a href="http//quran.com/9/28">from polytheism</a&gt
                                        (<a href="http//quran.com/56/77-79">5677-79</a&gt

The ability to shut off the gods and ulemas inside ourselves depends on "Spiritual", Spirit and Ritual.

Spirit the nonphysical part of a person that is the seat of emotions and character; the soul.

Ritual a religious or solemn ceremony consisting of a series of actions performed according
                                        to a prescribed order.

So much so that our physical bodies need foods to survive, "Spiritual" is the foods for our souls.

Basically, Shirk relates to "ideas" that are inconsistent and against the ideas in the Qur'an. It is the "gods and ulamas inside ourselves" that count. Nothing can harm our relationship with Allah if we are not accepting these inconsistent "ideas" (<a href="http//quran.com/5/105">5105</a&gt.

                                          Heart

Therefore, the gods and ulamas are within ourselves. It is the "ideas" that are inconsistent with the Qur'anic Ideas.

Therefore our primary question in life is how far we are able to control the ideas within ourselves?

For the sake of testing ourselves and to realize the gods and ulamas inside ourselves, try to stop eating, drinking and sleeping for 3 straight days (72 hours). Are we able to achieve this target or we are still hypocrites? This is not suggested by the Qur'an, and only a simple self-test to prove the existence of gods and ulamas inside ourselves. A simple test to realize the flow of ideas within ourselves and how far we are able to control these ideas.

                                          Do the people think
that they will be left to say,
                                          "We believe"
and they will not be tried?

But We have certainly tried those before them
and Allah will surely make evident
                                          those who are truthful
and He will surely make evident
                                          the liars

Or do those who do evil deeds think they can outrun Us?
