    Salam mmkhan,

You are correct, Allah Din has been completed..

but then, what is the "source of reference" for this "deenakum"?

Further, the main issue is related to the following statement, "this day" and "today", and not specifically focusing on the Qur'an or Deenakum.

    Peace brother.

    Salaam brother,

      Salam mmkhan,

So Muhammad's Deen (your Deen) is not referring to Allah's Deen?

It is not referring to Islam?

Sorry for this question, sometimes I may have overlooked the simplest rule or facts from the Qur'an and need to clarify it with others.

      Peace brother.

        Salaam brother,

Of course not, if it was referring to Muhammad's Deen, it would have said so clearly. "Your" is plural in 53, so it is referring to Our Deen not Allah's either. There are two more parts mentioned in this aayat along with Your Deen as

        ... ...
...Today I have perfected your Deen for you ...

        ... ...
...And I have completed upon you my favor...

        ... ...
...And I have chosen for you alIslam as a Deen ...

Please take a look at this thread to understand the usage of "al" in alQuraan, inshaAllah.

May Allah increase our knowledge and guide us on His path pr

          Salam mmkhan,

When I said Allah's Deen.. I didn't mean that Allah needs a way of life ..

          I mean Islam.

So... the first question is whether Muhammad or "your Deen" or "our Deen" is referring to Islam?

If "your Deen" or "our Deen" is referring to Islam... what is the source of reference for Islam?

If the source of reference for Islam is the Qur'an .. then would it be reasonable to say that Allah have perfected the Qur'an? ...long time ago before "today".

          Peace brother.

            Salaam all,

Recently I studied from AlQuraan about the word AL and Allah has shown me its meaning very clearly, Alhamdulillah. Whatever I have understood about AL till now is perfect by my TheCreator's grace and blessing. Hopefully, it will work on it's other instances in AlQuraan also. Here is my current understanding....

            AL = available, now.

            Salam mmkhan,

Would it be reasonable to understand that the word "AL" is referring the Book and knowledge that can surpasses all ages? The knowledge that is always relevant to any person and cannot be outdated.

            Peace brother.

what is 'this day' for you?

              • Mohammed is a messenger and the seal of the prophets. moreover i do not believe, Adam.. Nuh.. Aad.. Ibrahim..Musa..Isa..Mohammed.. have any direct blood line, they are examples in the path of peace for humankind. every believer in the path of peace are the descendants of prophets, messengers, noblemen, witnesses, righteous, martyrs.. Allah is all knowing

              Dear Bro,

Could you please explain further "moreover i do not believe, Adam.. Nuh.. Aad.. Ibrahim..Musa..Isa..Mohammed.. have any direct blood line, they are examples in the path of peace for humankind"...

In fact those Prophets have lived and shown the Right Path right ?. Regarding blood line its agreed. There are some sects claims that their fore ...fore fathers..fore fathers belongs to prophet hood etc. That forms a kind of Hadith which you and I discard straightaway.

I kindly asking whats your stand on "moreover i do not believe.. Adam....."

                peace brother,

you and me may be not perfected today. those who got perfected 'today' you and me may not be knowing. Allah knows.

Quran is completed for the individual who attained it.

                peace.

Yes agreed. Quran is guidance for every individual who seeks attainment after implementation of ayath through out of life journey with Allah's help.

                    Just and Balance (Sunnatullah)

I'm going to give its functional definition; ie. To apply the Qur'an and balance the "maslahat" (good) and "mudharat" (bad) to the society according to its awwaliyah (priority) and to the right people, at the right place and right time. The end result of all this is justice.

                    Sunnatullah & Life challenges

To read the Qur'an and identify the

                    • maslahat (self and others.. priority, not causing harm to others)
                    • mudharat (self and others.. priority, not causing harm to ourselves)

Then, to apply these rules, according to its priority (awwaliyah)...
(Lesson How trees grow from seeds, so as babies, and everything else in the universe)

                    and to the
                    ...right people
                    ...right place
                    ...right time

So that our action can create "balance" in ourselves and the society.

Right Rule + Right People + Right Place + Right Time = Balance
                    = Justice
                    = Islam

Would it be a blemish on Allah?

                      Salaamun alayka,

                      Yes.
Allah does NOT have a khalifa. Do you actually understand what you were saying or not?

Or do you think it would tarnish His image and undermine His Purity and Authority to get at such understanding?

No, you or my or anyone's saying will not effect by no means His Majesty.

                      For who the universe is? It is for man;

Do you have an ayaat from the Quran to support your claim?

Subhanahu, Allah is Most Pure! Allah does not need it for Himself even a spec of it.

Did I say He needs it for Himself?

Allah created it for man to think and ponder the skies and earth i.e. the entire universe so that they would by His leave shall obey and work by man's command. Do you deny any of these?

                      Yes I deny.
Can you please give me an ayaat from The Quran where it is stated that Allah created it for man. As far as I know Allah created everything on earth for us ( thus not the earth itself and not the heavens) and made everything for us available what is on earth and in the heavens.
btw. don't forget that there are besides man also other creatures who are residing this earth.

And can you give me an ayaat from The Quran where it is stated that they should obey and work by man's command. As far as I know they obey and work ONLY by Allah's command.

On the Last Day, heavens and the earth - the entire universe would be removed and changed for one last time that they would last forever.
If you want to save you from the punishment of fire, 3191 ponder over them. If you do not do this, on the Lasting Day, when you will be rewarded and recompensed, - would last as long as the heavens and the earth would last. And it would last forever.

I do not understand what you are trying to say. Do you mean if I not ponder on them then the punishment of fire is my reward?

I do not see the need for your such expression "Subhanahu", here.

For me the saying "Allah has HIS khalifa on earth" is equal to the saying "Allah has a walad", subhanaHu.

                      salaam,
                      Bender

                        Salam Bender,

As I said, the "asma ul husna" and "you can dispute this attribute and bring your perspective into discussion."

I believe this is your argument

Premise 1 Sura 6115 stated that "the word of your Lord has been fulfilled in truth and in justice"
Premise 2 You said "6115 talks about Allah's Word not Himself."
                        Conclusion Therefore, Allah is ___________________________?

So then.. what is your conclusion and assumptions?

                        Peace brother.

                        Salaamun alayka,

                        assumptions hmm

My conclusion is that al3adl is not an Al-Asma Al-Husa. In The Quran it is NEVER referred to Allah.

                        salaam,

                          Salam DrGm.

We are not talking about "you" and "me"

We are talking about the Qur'an.. has it been perfected or not?

If it is so.. then the words "this day" is not "today".

Otherwise, the Qur'an will never be perfected since the Qur'an is dependent on each of us to be perfected. So it is us that has not been perfected (our understanding), not the Qur'an. The Qur'an is always there and ready for us to understand its meaning.

                          Peace brother.

                          peace,

Quran is for you,me, all. we seek Quran for peace and to increase peace for ever.

i haven't said Quran is not perfected.

'this day' starts from 'today' for who /god-fearing seeks perfection/ peace from Quran.

not inclining willfully to sin, then surely Allah is Forgiving, Merciful."

                                  God bless

                                  peace

                                  peace,

the last ayat revealed- one meaning agreed.

another meaning when a god-fearing man finds Quran as his only guide for salvation, then God's sign to him confirms to strengthen his belief "today I perfected/completed for you your path and My favor on you and chosen for you peace as way of life;"

                                  peace.

                                    Salaamun alayka,

                                    assumptions hmm

My conclusion is that al3adl is not an Al-Asma Al-Husa. In The Quran it is NEVER referred to Allah.

                                    salaam,
                                    Bender

                                    Salam Bender,

It is true, the specific words are not in the Qur'an, but it's descriptive definitions are everywhere in the Qur'an. Therefore, it is merely how human use their "rational thoughts" to understand how Allah represent Himself to human beings. To simplified for beginner students to understand Islam, and who are deaf, dumb and blind to understand reality. Is this wrong and are we prohibited from using our rational thoughts?

The root 'a-d-l has the following classical Arabic connotations

                                    • to act justly, fairly
                                    • to be equitable, impartial
                                    • to adjust properly, to make even
                                    • to straighten, to rectify, to establish justice
                                    • to balance, counterbalance, to make equal, uniform
                                    • to turn one away from something, rightly direct
                                    • to make comfortable with what is right

The One who rectifies and sets matters straight in a fair, impartial and equitable manner.
The One who always acts justly.
The One who delivers absolute justice.
The One whose wisdom of justice is based upon complete knowledge of past, present and future.

                                    Peace brother.

Indeed, the worst of living creatures in the sight of Allah
are the deaf and dumb who do not use reason (Al-Anfal22)

                                      peace,

please can you brief 'how to shift human weaknesses to the words of Allah'

                                      peace.

                                      Salam DrGm,

I understand your point, but the implication of your statement is that instead of admitting we are unable to understand the Qur'an, instead of admitting our weaknesses, instead of admitting we are the one who are not perfected .... we shift our weaknesses to the words of Allah; ie. claiming the Qur'an is not completed/perfected while human beings are perfect.

This is not the truth, it is an illusion, and it is not accurate to claim the Qur'an is not perfected merely because we cannot understand its true meaning.

So it is us that has not been perfected (our understanding), not the Qur'an. The Qur'an is always there and ready for us to understand its meaning.

                                      Peace brother.

Conciliation Resources is a peacebuilding NGO supporting people at the heart of conflicts who are striving to find solutions. We work with them to deepen our collective understanding of the conflict, bring together divided communities and create opportunities for them to resolve their differences peacefully. We are there for as long as we?re needed to provide advice, support and practical resources. We then take what we learn to government decision-makers, and others working to end conflict, to improve peacebuilding policies and practice worldwide.
