Quran - The Wahi or Intuition

peace,
evil attracts evil; good attracts good.
if one's heart has evil in it, it observes (see, hear, speak) only evil. if i find a fault in you, it means i have it in me. i will not accuse others only when i am clean of that accuse in me. in other words, if i say, "you liar" it means, i also lie. as there is 'lie' within me, i can identify similar 'lies'.
1041 - Woe to every accuser and mocker
to clean myself, i should repent to my Lord, the Purifier to make me clean from the fault i find in others. so that every fault i find in you i ask forgiveness and repent to the Purifier to purify me. this act comes to end only when this earthly life ends. my Lord is the Purifier, the Acceptor of repentance and the Forgiver.
the day i do not find any fault in others....a 'man' is born again.
peace.

Salaam,
Most of times I agree with your posts and the postst of the other dr's here but this is one of the exceptions, or I do not understand what you are saying.
RED When I see someone steel/rape/kill/commit adultery etc etc etc I can reconize it as a bad/evil thing but as far as I know it does not mean I have the same evil in me.
I believe when one can not reconize evil from good then he/she has a real problem.
But maybe I am misunderstanding what you are trying to say.Salaam,

Benderpeace Bender,
yes, you are right, when one can not recognize good from evil, he is away from God. only by God's mercy we are able to identify good from bad. this is one of the properties of Quran. what we need is ever increasing in our discerning ability, this becomes our prayer.
we have become so proud because of our knowledge or wealth, that we find faults in others and we want/force them to admit it. we'll not accept their reasons. if someone find fault in our's we argue that there is a reason. so, mine is not fault but yours is. this is our next need, get rid from this attitude, so we pray God.
i should not do anything bad, but it is not easier for me being like that or i can't. so i ask God to make me live without doing bad. for this i should know what is bad. identifying bad in me is a great blessing from our Creator. after identifying i put the responsibility in my Lord to change my behavior because i can't. He is Acceptor of responsibility, the Reformer.
even before this i should accept to my heart i am 'really' bad. accepting my fault is a quality that will earn me God's nearness. so next, i ask/pray God to teach me to accept my fault. when God's mercy is near me, i will be able to identify good and bad. if someone is finding fault in me, he is in fact helping me to identify my faults. we are great in finding fault in others. others findings in me is also a way of God's teaching and also making us humble to accept it.
now, when He places me in a life, starting without faults and ending without any faults as results of my prayers by giving my responsibilities only to Him. slowly, in this process tuned to my pace, he make my life away from speaking, seeing, hearing steal/rape/kill/commit adultery etc etc etc.
we should accept we are at present not making these faults because He has put us away from these situations for some of our unknown goodness. else, we would be making the same. we should be grateful to Him for this.
so, first i should not do any bad as mentioned by you. i seek God's support for this. then i should not see anything around me, i seek God's Mercy. if there is nothing of this kind around me then i will not find it in others too or in other words, i will be surrounded by people who are seekers of God only. even when evil minded nears me, He will make them good as long as they are near me, so that i will not see, hear, speak evil. it is a process easier only for God. i should believe in this, wish His will, for sure happening only by Him.
i admit, to identify bad, remove it from good, living righteous, all can happen only by the mercy of Almighty, the Justice. changes in me indicates changes in my surrounding.
for eg if i say you are jealous, proud. it means i should admit i too have jealous, proud in me. sometimes answering questions itself will give us hidden pride. regarding stealing, if i am generous to others around me, it will remove the stealing attitude from others. generous in me and removal of stealing attitude in others are the duty of God, the Peacemaker. watching self and asking God for improvement in good and removing bad is a continuous process in our life.
2411 - those who accuse, for sure, they are one among you. but, do not think 'that' is bad for you. that is good for you. unto each is what he earn from his sin. and who's share is more among them will get greater punishment.
i hope i have explained.

RED When I see someone steel/rape/kill/commit adultery etc etc etc I can reconize it as a bad/evil thing but as far as I know it does not mean I have the same evil in me.
peace Bender,
further
i believe there is a clear answer to every question of our confusion in our life in Quran.
When we see someone steel/rape/kill/commit adultery/accidents etc, first, i seek protection from the Protector. "O, Protector, forgive me and protect me from these evils. it should not happen in my life and to any believers, also make me stay away from the vicinity of these evils for ever. You made me a watcher of these evils, i take this as a warning from You that i am surrounded by evil. i seek from You to make my place of livelihood/surrounding secured from evils. place me with the righteous. You are All-Know'er, Protector." if we fear God during such situation we are in straight path.
by the mere question/sight/hearsay, we should know that we are surrounded by evil. that should be enough for us to seek protection from our Creator. also, we should seek forgiveness for both - who 'steal' and who lose because of 'stealing' (all evil you mentioned).
when we observe that those evils are reducing; we hear / see/ speak no evil in our vicinity. we thank God for keeping our place secured from evil. we also know we are surrounded by good people. we should also refrain from discussing evils, no gossiping of evils. all media/newspaper are mostly discussing these evils.
1435 - ..."My Lord! make my place safe and secured...
2393 - say, "O, my Lord, if You should show me what is warned for them-
2394 - "my Lord, then keep me not with the evil folks"..
2683 - ....and join me with the righteous!peace.

DrGm
Quite a convincing and clear answer. May Allah Guide You.
I would like to add a feather to your answer
- He would indeed have guided all mankind aright? But as for those who are bent on denying the truth-in result of their evil deeds, calamities will always befall them or will alight close to their homes; and this will continue until God's promise comes to pass verily, God never fails to fulfil His promise!

Salaam dr.,
RED I do not think it is the responsibility of Allah but our own responsibility. Allah already inspired us what is good and what is bad. Succesful are the ones who keep purifying themselves and loosers are the ones who do not clean themselves.
Ofcourse Allah is our helper to accomplish this, but it us who are responsible for our own cleaning.
This is how I understand it.even before this i should accept to my heart i am 'really' bad. accepting my fault is a quality that will earn me God's nearness. so next, i ask/pray God to teach me to accept my fault. when God's mercy is near me, i will be able to identify good and bad. if someone is finding fault in me, he is in fact helping me to identify my faults. we are great in finding fault in others. others findings in me is also a way of God's teaching and also making us humble to accept it.
BLUE that is a little bit too harsh for yourself. In nature we are good ONLY when we let saytaan whisper in our hearts and let him mislead us with what he whispers then we become bad and thus think/do bad things.
so, first i should not do any bad as mentioned by you. i seek God's support for this. then i should not see anything around me, i seek God's Mercy. if there is nothing of this kind around me then i will not find it in others too or in other words, i will be surrounded by people who are seekers of God only. even when evil minded nears me, He will make them good as long as they are near me, so that i will not see, hear, speak evil. it is a process easier only for God. i should believe in this, wish His will, for sure happening only by Him.
I find this part hard to understand. What about Musa and Firaun or Musa and his people? or most of the rasuls/nabi's mentioned in The Quran?
But I agree that doing good will most of times influence others also in a good way but unfortunatly not all, some will even misuse your goodness and take "advantage" of it.i admit, to identify bad, remove it from good, living righteous, all can happen only by the mercy of Almighty, the Justice. changes in me indicates changes in my surrounding.
GREEN I think good changes in me are indications of me listening more/better to Allah.
for eg if i say you are jealous, proud. it means i should admit i too have jealous, proud in me. sometimes answering questions itself will give us hidden pride. regarding stealing, if i am generous to others around me, it will remove the stealing attitude from others. generous in me and removal of stealing attitude in others are the duty of God, the Peacemaker.
BLUE I think it means that I can identify it not necessary that I have it.
GREEN That is I think the best case scenario.
watching self and asking God for improvement in good and removing bad is a continuous process in our life.
totally agreed handshake

Salaam and thx for you explanations on how you see it.

This is how I understand it.yes, Allah is our Helper to accomplish. once, i put the responsibility in Allah i 'follow' my prayer to see how it is accomplished / answered. this is one of the way i was taught by my mentor. i pray my Lord, to teach me 'follow'.
that is a little bit too harsh for yourself. In nature we are good ONLY when we let saytaan whisper in our hearts and let him mislead us with what he whispers then we become bad and thus think/do bad things.
i think it is not harsh. how do we know we have let saytaan in our hearts. if we know we have let saytaan then that itself is a blessing. i.e. i know it beforehand. so, i put my case with Allah, i am bad. help me overcome it. alarm me when i let saytaan in my heart. the Foretell-er, the Announcer.
I find this part hard to understand. What about Musa and Firaun or Musa and his people? or most of the rasuls/nabi's mentioned in The Quran?
But I agree that doing good will most of times influence others also in a good way but unfortunatly not all, some will even misuse your goodness and take "advantage" of it.as i wish to be a believer in Allah alone - i ask Allah to secure me and my place from all evils. it is He who distinguish the good and bad, separate good and bad and show me the path of peace. i was only told to see the signs from my Lord. if i see any hardship in my path, i seek forgiveness. if my path is made easy then again i seek forgiveness, remembering His mercy.
i understand from my point, Musa taught his people how to seek Allah alone, so that they come out of their slavery / shirk. they too asked him too many questions, only those who followed Allah's sign and Musa are saved from Hell.
if someone misuse our goodness, they can misuse only our materials/wealth. they cannot wrong our souls, because it is protected by Allah. even the wealth will be protected if it is earned in the path of Allah.
I think good changes in me are indications of me listening more/better to Allah.
)
I think it means that I can identify it not necessary that I have it.
yes, you are right. but, it is another level with Allah. "with Allah there are many levels" my wish for another level.
Salaam and thx for you explanations on how you see it.
Benderthanks Bender you are so kind in your exchange, i'm not seeing such kindness in many posts in this forum. though many here are following Allah alone, Quran alone. i really do not understand why there is no patience/kindness. as we, towards our path - nearing Allah, our patience to be increased.

Peace All,
Modesty dictionary meaning If someone especially a woman shows modesty, they are cautious about the way they dress and behave because they are aware that other people may view them in a sexual way.
I can dress anyhow, no force on me, but... let me remember that God is watching me and my thoughts inside my mind.
My bad thoughts bad dressing bad behavior kindles wrong actions in others.
There is no such thing as ?virtuous men/women?Inner fear only will increase my understanding.
Gratitude to him will teach me more wisdom. If we are god fearing, seeking help and protection from bad thoughts/behavior/action constantly, wishing to live a life most suitable to Him, then our behavior and actions will be good and virtuous.
Good and evil exists in every human being. This war between right and wrong is constantly waged within our mind. If we choose good thoughts, as a result, we are guided towards good behavior, good people.
If I do not understand something being said, or its not in the same wavelength, should I vomit words, scream my defiance, argue, show hatred in language ??
I don't understand because I don't see it that way, or I don't want to understand because I don't want to follow it. which is it? Need to ponder.
Women?s liberation/freedom is just theory/words. No man no family can safeguard us if we walk around with pride and arrogance. Definitely God's wrath and destruction will befall us.
If we cannot walk safely at midnight in any part of the world, freedom/liberation does not mean anything to me, nothing but mere words.
Brothers/husband usually are being protective by way of caring. its not dominating or being possessive. This understanding will remove my stubborness.Everything will depend on the way I see it. Whats my perception in each situation, each event, each word, invisible feel behind each abstract word... Am I allowing myself to be guided towards good - in thoughts, words, behavior, deeds/action.
2269
He gives wisdom to whom He wills, and whoever has been given wisdom has certainly been given much good. And none will remember except those of understanding.Liberation from others' evil, freedom from my wrong doing, is what I really need.
Humbly wishing, patiently seeking more wisdom from Him,

peace,
for a believer the main quality i understand from quran, is being polite when quran is recited / quoted / discussed.
only in patience it will be clear whether the quoted/recited is in line with quran / soul. in line with quran means an universal guidance for believers in all walks of life, anywhere in this world. only then it is a guidance from Allah for the believers. Allah's guidance is only for the believers in mankind who heed.
if quran is quoted in a different sense from our view, i pray for patience from my Lord to give me clarity on this. only then, i'll go for discussion. in the discussion if the sense is not following peace, i reject it in my prayer to my Lord. if it is in line with peace, i pray my Lord to make this my way of life. He is the Guide, the Source of Wisdom.
7204 - when quran is explained, pay attention with politeness; keep calmness - you will be poured mercy.

peace,
2186 - ...I respond to the prayer if he pray for his prayer/need. let them ask only Me; let them believe only Me....
the need in me and for me, gets me intuition from my Lord. if my need becomes my wish, then it is fulfilled by the Provider of the need. my effort in this is only accepting it in my heart. then,
927 - for him We make it lighter that is easy.
God is the Giver of needs. all that He gives are good. i believe in the need in my heart, given by my Provider, without any doubt. then i submit the need to Him. my submission is my prayer. i have to follow my prayer till it is fulfilled. then, i am a follower. patience is needed for following. then, i pray / seek patience from my Patience-giver. i should not get any doubt, so i ask/pray Him to remove my doubt, the Remover of doubt.
there is no hardships in this path. any good advice is only for a believer who submit. the rest either ignore or debate.
peace.

peace,
wisdom is observing with patience the happenings and the result being good. if the happenings you see is bad you have not still attained wisdom.
a prophet/messenger observes what is intuited in his heart. he verifies it in his life. he then teaches the believers how to observe the intuition in their heart and verify it in their life. the more they observe, the more pious and god-fearing they become, they feel the nearness of God, their Lord.

peace,
Quran, the physical Book consists of letters, words, sentences, verses, chapters. these are so arranged that you can do so many research out of it. the words, sentences and verses have objective meanings also you can do so many research. many do research in these. here this gives enough room for endless debates and divisions, conflicts. many just follow the outputs of these debates done by the speakers. there it leads to rituals, customs, habits, cultural, celebration, etc this consists of mainly the past, followed by the pride ritual debates of the present.
Quran, the wahi is divine. leads to pondering, remembering, has discussions well connected to their lives. which in turn gives start pondering and remembering on and on by the individuals which shape their life unique, acceptance of differences which is nothing but level of understanding. this is mainly about the future, through the signs of the present and remembering the past. this has no boundaries and is endless without any conflict. because this is not physical and nothing you can seize from anyone/anything....

I think he refers to taurat/torat which to my understanding means something like instructions or teachings. Just like you said Gospel or Injeel likely refers to the glad tidings that Jesus came with giving new light to the decree issued to Moses. Jesus did not really add or remove anything but only helped people interpret and give light to the old decree, and showed that it must not be interpreted absolutely literally but be taken as guidelines in your life in devotion to God. Same mistake people as of today do. To my understanding the recitation to the ordinary man X (allegedly Muhammad) was a reminder of that decree and revealed to a different people than the tribes of Israel and simultaneously giving (well-deserved) criticism to them (the Jews). And as you can see if you study its details it does not really add anything to the decree either and not new light was given to it that did not come with Jesus already.
Except that God seems to have lifted some minor prohibitions such as having sex during the nights of devotional times. It was likely done over many centuries in disguise and people may have thought God would not mind or see through the "fingers".
The torat are the most fundamental teachings in the decree such as the famous ten commandments and the "eye for an eye, tooth of a tooth" expression. That was something revealed to Moses and taught by subsequent missionaries including Jesus but who also gave some light to its interpretation, as well as Muhammad(!)
Certainly God's decree existed before Moses, but it was first then there was a clear distinction/division (alfurqan) between right and wrong. The torah at the time of Moses became the first clear regulation in God's decree so people had it black on white for the first time. This was also the covenant the tribes of Israel promised to uphold (and often failed too). Despite having the decree they (abstractly) threw it behind their backs as if they did not know.
And there was a particular promise from God to Ebrahem that was also in effect (if they were good-doers) after his excellent service to God and big prayer which is revealed in the recitation to the ordinary man X (Muhammad). And Ebrahem was not a Jew, Christian or Muhamadan ("Muslim" and was born in modern day Iraq near the Persian Gulf in the quite big town of Ur (in fact Iraq has several interesting locations were events took place, for example, Nineveh). The torah and other revelations were not revealed until after him. God kept the promise as Ebrahem had quite some righteous offspring after him.
But those who uphold the decree, Muhammedans or not, or Israelities or not, or Christians or not, all of those who believe and do good by following the decree and guidance and meld with their Master will have nothing to fear nor will they grieve. They will have their reward.
God bless you

Peace,
Yes. It does mean that more or less.
Torat and Furqan gave us the first clear distinction between right and wrong. And Injeel gave new light to the same decree, but fundamentally the same although God lifted some prohibitions (as per the recitation).
A former unitarian Christian (like me) can read the recitation (Quran) and will find themselves familiar with the decree from before, especially if they see through the mumbo jumbo the so called Islamic clerics promote. For me as a former Christian is is the same faith, no more and no less. The difference is how people have traditionally interpreted it. Words like ketaab, salat, zakat and so on have been giving a really complicated meaning while they mean something quite easy. No one seems to mind that it is ridiculous with ketaab as book for example.
God bless you
