    Salaam Earthdom,

What do you say now? So even if we sincerely regret our shirk we cannot be forgiven for it? Even if we repent and reform afterwards while we are still alive in this world? And we committed shirk because of ignorance and not intentionally.

    God bless you

      Salam Man of Faith

What I mean is "shirk sin cannot been forgiven" doctrine in verse 448 occur because misstranslation.

This is the list of traditionalist translation

-Shahih Internasional Indeed, Allah does not forgive association with Him.
-Yusuf Ali Allah forgiveth not that partners should be set up with Him

And this is mine translation of 448

"Indeed God does not forgive that associated with Him"

Read carefully, what God blame in that verse actually not the actor of shirk, but the object one (that). It can be say the example of the object of shirk (that) is like Firaun who claim himself as equal to God etc.

If God blame the actors, then this will be contrary to another verses which said if God is the Forgiver and the Merciful.

Just try to think again, if God doesn't forgive the shirk act, then how the Buddhist, Hindu convert to Islam?? because they also set equal to God.

      God bless you.

Shirk is not forgivable only if one dies with shirk

        Salam

You are still living and I see no reason for you to worry or despair when there might be abundance of time for repentance. Use it wisely, and all it needs for Allah to forgive us is "sincerity".

Indeed, no one despairs of relief from Allah
        except the disbelieving people"
        (1287)

        Peace.
