God loves you!...On one Condition!

God's Love is Conditional. If you do what he says, then he will love you. If you don't do what he wants you to do, then there are consequences. A simple rule of thumb is God loves the Good, and does not like the Evil.
If you want to be God's beloved (Quran 51, you must follow His rules and commandments, because, "What will God gain from punishing you, if you became appreciative and believed?" (Quran 4147).

i feel that this subject of love is really complicated,and would need another twenty years of study or more.

Love is about the most elastic word in the English and other languages. It ranges from merely like, to absolute devotion and self-sacrifice.
I think the word in most cases cited here as verb to love is h-b-b which in Arabic has a distinct connotation of liking. So before spreadin love or unlove, it would be clearer to make distinct of what kind of love, or rather of what exactly we are speaking. Love, like pieace, is one of those nice words, which ultimately are non-commital and just fill blnak spaces with meaningless pious blabber.
Another thing that is very noticiable in the Qur'an is that when it speaks in those terms God likes or does not like, it always refers to doings, behaviour, it does nto refer to individual persons as such. For instance, it does nto say God likes christians or bani Israil or whatever, but says God, does not love wrong doers, meaning nobody is liked or unliked by who he or she is, but by what she or he does. It is always behaviour what God characterises, not a certain personality or belonging or name.
That is a very important thing.
So, in fact, God may like us in one aspect where we do right and dislike us in another where we do wrong. And God knows. God does not need to look at our appearance or label. He knows.

Thanks for pointing that out. I have tried to point that out before in my thread Nearness and Guidance as well as in other threads that behavior is way more important than which group you are from.
If The Book (Quran) was revealed today, in the list of groops in a verse I forgot the number of chapter 2 "Muslims" would also be in the list. It just happened that he book targeted the crowd you know of in the book but these people would be mentioned specifically if a new revelation theoretically was sent down.

Thank you @huruf for the clarification, but that is an old orthodox doctrine (as also stated in the Bible of course), to love the sinner but not the sin (despise the sin).
