The current quranic text might contain some falsehoods!

Thank you for the reply, brother mmkhan.
But, what do you think about the punctuation differences between some Qur'an printings with some other Qur'an printings?
The punctuation... or maybe diacritical marks? - I don't know how to name it in English.
Such as... I found that the Qur'an which my parents received from the Kingdom of Saudi Arabia (if I'm not mistaken), it has difference punctuation with the Qur'an which bought in my country (Indonesia).
Why Allah need to send multiple Books? And why Allah allow His books to be destroyed? Just to send a new Book? I don't find any good logic behind it.
Good questions, brother.
But, then, what do you think about the Bible?
Why there are some verses in the Bible which congruent with the Qur'an?
Do you think the Qur'an is older manuscript than the Bible?
Peace.
-
JavaLatte,
They are called diacritical marks. Such are used in an attempt to make interpretation and pronunciation easier in older literal works which are based on a more primitive structure. However, I would say the ones who did that with Arabic were unaware that it does not need them to be perfectly clear.
Arabic does not contain any punctuation but one has to either mark by a new line or know through grammar when it is supposed to change to a new sentence. Full stops or commas were not invented at the time. Few older languages had those features. It is the same with Hebrew and Aramaic.
I would say original works always made some sort of space or new line to mark a new segment of text, but perchance the current works of scribes missed that. They have made verse numbering which is instead quite lackluster, because it happens that too often a sentence continues into another passage and is hence cut in two or more parts. It may also show the verse numbering is neither original nor that the scribes really mastered the language since they did a very poor segmentation.

Salaam Altaf,
From your posts, I have a feeling you already have a good idea on how to distinguish truth from falsehood. For example
Regarding the passages of chapter 9 or some other passages in the existing Quran...my conscience is not as clear as yours in accepting them.
and
I think "wahi" means any positive idea. I believe human beings right from the inception of their existence have been "receiving wahi" and they continue to do so in this day and will continue to do so. All the inventions beneficial to mankind can be clubbed as "wahi." That's what I believe.
For the bolded and underlined part of your quote
bravo handshake
I think there is a basic technique and an advanced technique to verify the truth and distinguish it from falsehood. You can apply those techniques to anything, including the current quranic text, and the matter will be clear to you. All of these techniques have actually been mentioned in al-quran itself!
BASIC TECHNIQUES
- Conscience or the inner compass (fatara)
3030 So establish yourself to the system of monotheism. It is the inclination (fatara) that God has nurtured the people on. There is no changing in the creation of God. Such is the pure system, but most of the people do not know.
- Reasoning (aql, fikr)
Numerous verses recommend using "aql" and "fikr"
http//corpus.quran.com/qurandictionary.jsp?q=Eql
http//corpus.quran.com/qurandictionary.jsp?q=fkr- Knowledge (3ilm) through using your senses
1736 And do not uphold what you have no knowledge of. For the hearing, eyesight, and heart, all these you are responsible for.
- Proven real world evidence
4153 We will show them our signs in the horizons, and within themselves, until it becomes clear to them that this is the truth. Is it not enough that your Lord is witness over all things?
ADVANCED TECHNIQUES
Using the advanced techniques, you can experience the truth for yourself. For example what you said about "wahi". The advanced techniques are communication with the infinite Creator directly through meditation and channeling, and out of body experiences or astral projection by which you can go beyond the physical illusion and see what the astral/mental/spiritual body sees.
Please see my following thread for details about out of body experience and channeling
http//free-minds.org/forum/index.php?topic=9607171.0
I think "aqimi al-salat" is the preferred and recommended quranic method to communicate, channel, "receive wahi" from the infinite Creator directly. This is why al-quran gives "aqimi al-salat" so much importance!
Please ponder on the following verses
7531 For he did not believe nor salla.
7532 But he denied and turned away.Using al-quran as its own dictionary, we see that "salla" has been contrasted with "turning away". It follows that "salat" is "turning towards". "Aqimi al-salat" is a method of turning towards the infinite Creator at dawn and dusk, by establishing a direct two way communication or channel with the infinite Creator.
Please ponder on the following verse
1187 They said "O Shu'ayb, does your salat order/command you that we leave what our fathers served, or that we do not do with our money as we please? It seems only you are the compassionate, the wise!"
How can "salat" COMMAND YOU? The only way "salat" can command someone is if it is some sort of communication with the infinite Creator. Let's plug in "communication" in 1187 and see if it makes sense
1187 They said "O Shu'ayb, does your communication order/command you that we leave what our fathers served, or that we do not do with our money as we please? It seems only you are the compassionate, the wise!"
Please plug in "communication" or "communicate" everywhere "saad-laam-waw" occurs and see if it makes sense.
Let me know if you are in agreement with my analysis above and then I can proceed to the next step of what the 3 different kinds of "wahi" are and who or what "shaitaan" is. I disagree slightly with your view about "wahi" which I will expound in my next reply to you. That is why I didn't underline your entire quote about "wahi", but left out a portion!
To quote someone, just highlight the quote and then click on the quote icon above the message window (below where it says "font size".
May the infinite Creator guide us to the truth.

Peace good logic,
Peace truthseeker11.
Either one believes in the whole book or does not. There are no half baked /half truths....
Just wait until you get the version you are waiting for, then believe? Why believe some of the book and doubt /disregard some? It does not make sense!!
A book can be a mixture of truth with falsehood. It is bad logic to doubt a book completely just because a few sentences might be false.
The current standard text of al-quran still contains some glorious and enlightening truths and guidance. Why not benefit from those truths right now?
The most important truth of doing good deeds, accountability of actions, and existence of an infinite Creator is still intact.
If you are saying you have a way of filtering what is true from what is false, and it is accurate ,then why wait for the "true" one at all?
Just wondering about this logic.
Strawman logic. I never claimed my way of filtering is 100% accurate. I am a human and not infallible or perfect. Using my method I can be fairly certain with a high degree of probability but still not 100% until I see the original text.
Why did Moses want to see God even though he believed? (7143)
Why did Abraham want to see how God resurrected the dead even though he believed? (2260)They fully believed, yet wanted to see with their own eyes so they can be sure.
There are a few possibilities in my mind about al-quran, and the original Arabic text of al-quran will show me which possibility is true. Before you ask, I will not elaborate the possibilities at this time.
Then there is the protected tablet (8522), which I think is the Akashic record, but I don't think I'll be able to access it in this life.
May the infinite Creator guide us to the truth.

Salaam,
As far as I believe, alQuraan has an original text which was distorted by some by changing the diacritics of some words. And by saying there were no markings at all or by removing the 2 aayaat from it or by saying that alQuraan was revealed 1400 years ago. Just to create a doubt in the Book of Allah. Because none of these claims are supported by Allah.
Diacritical marks are so important that without that you cannot understand the correct correctly. Those are patterns and styles set by our Lord, Allah to understand it clearly. For example 225 and 2237 and 4159. Why these changes if it is not required? The diacritical marks in these words defines what does it mean and that shows the perfectness of the Book.
= before .
= before .
= before .Please note this example and try to check in your copy of alQuraan and see how perfectly it fits. This way you will understand how important the diacritical marks are and it is highly impossible for any human being or jinn to add those markings to the Book of Allah so precisely. There are many more to try another, please take a look at this. I am not asking anyone to believe what I believe but try to understand what I am saying and think why these differences in markings if it is not required.
Good questions, brother.

I don't believe Bible is to the word of Allah. And again alQuraan does not support this name. And there is no other evidence that Bible = alInjeel.

Peace good logic,
Hypothetical example.
Imagine you discover a book in your local library which contains the following sentences
This book has been sent down to you from your Lord.
It contains revelations from the God, the merciful and just.
Do good deeds and be mindful of your actions.
If you do good there will be positive consequences.
If you do bad there will be negative consequences.
You are allowed to kill others whenever you desire.
It is ok to rape the women whom you lust.
You can molest orphan children who are dependent upon you.
These are revelations from the one God inspired to your super hero.
If you reject these revelations you will be burned in fire for eternity.
We have protected this book and no falsehood can enter it.Will you believe in the whole book? If not why not?
Will you disregard the whole book? If not why not?According to you
Either one believes in the whole book or does not. There are no half baked /half truths....
....... Why believe some of the book and doubt /disregard some? It does not make sense!!
Is that "good logic"? Or
Is that the logical fallacy of false dilemma? Will you blindly believe that the whole book is from God just because it claims to be from God and claims to be inspired to your legendary hero, no matter what the content?
Is that "good logic"? Or
Is that the logical fallacy of circular reasoning (begging the question)? Also please look up the following logical fallacies
Appeal to belief,
Appeal to consequences of a belief,
Appeal to fear etc.http//www.nizkor.org/features/fallacies/
May the infinite Creator guide us to the truth.

2- You must not rely on anything else!
3- Read the Book of God as if you never saw it before, read it with your eyes, ears and mind and REFLECT on every word that is being said to you... Take NOTHING for granted and do not allow anyone to make your decisions... For on the day of judgement, you will be standing alone and you will have to answer for your own deeds and your own choices.
4- Be very careful, on whose authority you are making your final understanding as GOD Alone is the explainer
Keep seeking the truth.
GOD bless you.
Peace.Beautifully briefed! May Allah Bless Every Listener.

Truth,
Amr means "determination" and salat means "perception"/the way you follow.
Communication does not fit all instances in Quran and sounds pretty awkward sometimes.
For example, God says to Moses I am with you, i.e. the 'Children of Israel', as long as you establish "communication". But how many people can have an established communication with the Rabb? Connection I can agree with, but then you have problems with 1187 unless you jump with interpretation acrobatics. No salat is the perception by which one goes forth in life. It is also acceptable using a definition from Lane's Lexicon without being deceptive (as you accuse me of).
It is all formed in such a way by traditional people to make a Pagan ritual out of it. It is even a hijacked word that is supposed to mean something else.
If you are looking for "communication/connection" I told you earlier you are looking at the wrong word for there are other Arabic words to fit the definition better. Close attachment fills very well for example.

Do you believe that the following verse, which is grammatically a nonsense, revealed by Allah.
And who is more unjust than he who preventeth the mosques of Allah, that His name be mentioned therein (mosques of Allah), and striveth after their ruin? These! it was not for them to enter therein except in fear. Unto them shall be humiliation in this World, and unto them in the Hereafter a torment mighty.
My point is, how can someone PREVENT/FORBID the MOSQUES OF ALLAH lest HIS name be mentioned/remembered in the MOSQUES OF ALLAH
SINCE IT CANNOT BE LOGICALLY TRANSLATED, the traditional translators twisted and manipulated the verse to hide the nonsense.
forbids that in places for the worship of Allah (Abdullah Yusuf Ali)
prevent the name of Allah from being mentioned in His mosques (Sahih International)
forbiddeth the approach to the sanctuaries of Allah (Pickthall)
prevents (men) from the masjids of Allah, (Shakir)
forbid that Allah's Name be glorified and mentioned much (i.e. prayers and invocations, etc.) in Allah's Mosques (Mohsin Khan and Hilali) (approved by Saudi)
prevents (praying in) the mosques of Allah (Dr. Ghali)
bar the mention of God's name from His houses of worship (Mohammed Asad)
preventeth the mosques of Allah (Abdul Majid Daryabadi)
prevents (the) Masjid (of) Allah to be mentioned in them His name (corpus.quran.com)
Only Abdul Majid Daryabadi and corpus.quran.com translated correctly but then it did not make any sense.

Obviously it would not make sense because masjed is not even a building and dhekr means regard etc etc.

I think what you wrote above makes sense.

Hmm... this... I still don't know what to say about this.
Just to create a doubt in the Book of Allah. Because none of these claims are supported by Allah.
Yea, I think I agree. Only Allah Who can save us from that doubt.
Diacritical marks are so important that without that you cannot understand the correct correctly. Those are patterns and styles set by our Lord, Allah to understand it clearly.
I like what you told above, to be honest.
But I still can't say much about that, because my knowledge still not reach that understanding.
I feel that could be true and that makes sense, and somehow I like that idea.

So, do you think Adam is the first person who received the first part of the Qur'an?
I don't believe Bible is to the word of Allah.
Hah, I like that idea! Because I feel the Bible is suspicious, I think it contains mixing between truth and falsehood.
And again alQuraan does not support this name. And there is no other evidence that Bible = alInjeel.
Yes, to my knowledge, the Qur'an never mentions "Bible". And I think Bible Injeel.

Peace mmKhan,
Earliest manuscripts had no dialectic marks (added years later) which without context we won?t know if talking about males/remembrance or sheep, goats or people. It's verses were memorized like a song.
to the male similitude apportion the two (females)
say the male two prohibited or the two (females)
and indeed made easy we the Qur?an to the remembrance
9129
so if turn they of so say ?
21109 so if turn they of so saysufficient for me the god ?
3938 sufficient for me the godnot deity except he on him I put my trust ?
1330 not deity except he on him I put my trustand he lord the throne the great ?
2726 the god not deity except he lord the throne the great -
Earliest manuscripts had no dialectic marks (added years later) . . .
The question is
How do we know for sure that those are truly the earliest manuscripts??
Just because some 'expert' people told us so?? That's not the solid proof.
Somehow I have feeling that... to be sure about the Qur'an, we can actually find the answer in the Qur'an itself, of course with God's help.
-
I strongly believe that alQuraan is the word of Allah since Adam. A very few aayaat were given to Adam and Bani Adam, then comes Nooh and his story added to the existing aayaat of Allah which was given to Adam and Bani Adam. And it goes on... till date.
I think I'm going to put this thought into my consideration/pondering, insha'Allah.
Thank you for sharing your thought, brother mmkhan.
Why Allah need to send multiple Books? And why Allah allow His books to be destroyed? Just to send a new Book? I don't find any good logic behind it.
What is the logic in saying that Allah will protect Nabis and Rasools and even Momineen but He is fail to protect His Book? Just think about it, inshaAllah Allah will show you His signs.
Insha'Allah.

The root word for salaah is salli or sallu and interestingly both have been given different meanings, whereas salli is normally interpreted as namaz/prayer whereas sallu is interpreted as Salawat and Salam, case in point...surah 33, verse 56, where it says that Allah and ITS angels send "sallu" (blessings) on ITS prophet...and now we have "communicate" also.
then I can proceed to the next step of what the 3 different kinds of "wahi" are and who or what "shaitaan" is. I disagree slightly with your view about "wahi" which I will expound in my next reply to you.

Injeel is what Jesus came of enlightenment/elaboration on the old decree, without changing a word but only fulfillment.
He clearly showed that they are more than only sterile commandments but guidelines for living. And he showed the kingdom (spiritual realm) was at hand. And the perception he helped with would lead one straight.

Salam truthseeker11.
- Why did the one Infinite Creator create mankind in the first place knowing that a majority of them will go to hell for eternity due to that act of creation? Is the one Infinite Creator sadistic?
- Is the one Infinite Creator a jealous Creator?
- How can the one Infinite Creator be the merciful when he will punish the MAJORITY/MOST of mankind in fire for eternity for setting up partners with him?
Your three questions above actually demonstrate that you may not have grasped the concept of ?Infinite Creator? which you profess with so much enthusiasm. Don?t you tell others that we do not exist independently, we are all part of the Infinite Creator? Then how can you ?judge? the Infinite Creator for what He chooses to do to parts of his own spirit (ruh) which He experimentally quarantined and assigned to souls (nafs) which He created out of His own infinite soul? The quarantined spirits which will fail the elaborate test that the Infinite Creator has set up will have to accept the condemnation from Him. That is obvious and unavoidable. Too bad that this condemnation will be as torturous as fire to the unfaithful spirits ? but it is an exclusive affair between Our Master and parts of His own spirit.
4109 Here you are ? the ones who argue for them in the life of the world, then who will argue for them with Allah on the day of ascend? Or who will become the executive over them?
4110 But whoever acts in wickedness or wrongs his soul (but) later seeks forgiveness of Allah will find Allah Forgiving, Merciful.
4111 And whoever earns a sin then only he earns it against his soul and Allah happens to be Knowledgeable, Wise.
(My personal translation, cross checking is recommended.)
We should consider ourselves lucky that our Master has given us the free will with which we can own our actions rather than simply giving us the life of a beast or not giving us any life at all. As for those whom our Master chooses to deviate which they earn by using their free will, they will have to own and bear the consequences of their choices on the awful last day.
It is easier to grasp the concept of ?Infinite Creator? painting our destiny ? if we imagine Him as an author and all of us as characters in a novel He is writing. Our only distinction above a character in the novel is that, we have our ?free will? to own our destiny, which the characters in the novel don?t. More on this analogy here

Part of your confusion on why shirk is an unforgivable sin may be rooted in a misunderstanding of the word shirk itself. Per my humble understanding, shirk is not merely an incorrect utterance of mouth or misaligned practice of worship ? these are reproachable malpractices ? but they are ignorance (zahil) not shirk. The shirk (associating partner with Infinite Creator) happens only when one acts against his God gifted morality and intellect taking someone else?s command as God?s command. Indeed shirk is surely a great wrongdoing (zulman azim). More on my understanding of shirk here

- Is the Creator needy? Does he need someone to serve him?
The misconception is arising out of a shade of meaning of the English word ?serve? which is not associated with the Arabic word ?a?bada?. In other words ?serve? is a sub-optimal translation ? a much better fit is ?being slave?.
Humans have been created to only be slave to the Infinite Creator. It is a statement of fact ? not a demand note from the Infinite Creator.
- Why no mention of Chinese, Indians etc.
- Why only mention Prophets, Messengers of Abrahamic Faith.
The ?Abrahamic Faith? has been described in Qur?an as the recommended path to seek Allah (Infinite Creator). But Qur?an does not rule out other communities and their different paths. In one book named Qur?an we have a detailed illustrated description of the ?straight path? as followed by Abraham and his (spiritual) successors ? as well as ? generic call towards consciousness (taqwa) and faith (iman) for entire mankind. Those who would follow Qur?an and millat-i-Ibrahim would be the privileged people ? ?brought for the benefit of mankind? and those who will follow other paths would benefit from the followers of Qur?an.
- Why does it seem to forget or does not acknowledge the fact that the sun remains above the horizon for 2 months or more, north of the Arctic Circle, with practical implications for salaat and sawm/abstinence?
References of salaat times are related to sunrise and sunset. So, whoever lives in arctic cycle will pray depending on Arctic sun rise and sunset. Not sure where the contradiction is.
The sawm of Ramadan has been prescribed upon those who witness the month of Ramadan. For obvious reasons whoever lives in arctic cycle does not ?witness the month of Ramadan?. Can it be any more simple than that?
When people venture into arctic cycles or outer space ? they are under ?exceptional? conditions. Why would Infinite Creator burden them with rituals which they may not be able to bear? If they still want to practice ? that is only a goodness on their part, not an obligatory requirement.
And by the way, I personally do not believe Qur?an ?forgot? the exceptional case of arctic cycle. Ponder over the ?Two sunrises, and two sunsets? mentioned in Surah Rahman; perhaps you?ll see the signs.
- Why does the quran condone killing of humans in the one Infinite Creator's name rather than non lethal ways of dealing with those situations?
There are times when a preemptive attack on the trouble makers become the necessity of the time. Think of the war against Nazis in WWII or the war against ISIS in current time. Perhaps you?ll find your answers.
- Mohsanaat are forbidden except "ma malakat aymanukum" (424), then why is this contradicted in case of mothers of orphans (43)?
This topic has been elaborately discussed in other thread(s). That 43 permits polygamy is a misconception. It simply illustrates the ?reason? why humans should uphold the institution of marriage and why they should remain monogamous. Further clarification in verse 4127.
- How can congenital deformities be explained? The quran never discusses this important issue. It would have been very easy for the one Infinite Creator to have shed light on this issue.
I do not believe Qur?an claims itself to be an encyclopedia. Qur?an Does mention that Allah tests humans with loss of life, health, wealth etc. So, not sure how this question illustrates that Qur?an may have ?falsehood?.
- Why did the one Infinite Creator not clearly and unambiguously tell us how many salaat are the momineen/believers supposed to uphold in a day with unambiguous timings?
Perhaps for the same reason why Allah did not tell the Bani Israel what type of cow they need to slaughter. Perhaps the details on frequency and format are immaterial to Allah. Perhaps Allah did not want to over-burden His slaves with rigid specification of frequency and format. Perhaps, whatever frequency and format we follow with due sincerity based on tradition (and not our wishful thinking) is already good enough?
- Why did the one Infinite Creator not clearly and unambiguously tell us how many days the momineen/believers are supposed to practice sawm/abstinence?
Same as above response. The siam of Ramadan has been prescribed as a mark of gratitude for us. We express our gratitude to Allah through siam. He has been kind enough to show us a valid way of expressing gratitude and even been kinder by saying if we are travelling or sick we can replace with other days ? and now you are blaming Him for not specifying the number of days!?!
Consider the son who is going abroad and his mother told him to call her from time to time. The son never calls her and his excuse is ? my mother did not tell me how many times to call and for what duration ? why didn?t she specify it, it was easy for her to do so.
- Why did the one Infinite Creator not clearly and unambiguously tell us exactly when the restricted time periods start and end?
How does this prove falsehood? Is it too difficult to assume that there is a reason of this silence that we currently don?t understand? If Infinite Creator decides He would leave the humans to figure out restricted time periods who are we to question His wisdom? Perhaps that is a flexibility He wanted humans to enjoy. And once again Qur'an never claimed itself to be an encyclopedia.
May Allah guide us all to the straight route.
Regards,
Arman
