    Peace,

    Deists believe that

    • God (on the evidence of reason and nature only) exists but they reject supernatural revelation > They reject Quran
    • God cretaed the universe but has since remained indifferent to it. > According to Quran, God continually answers the pleas of his creation and his prophets.

They are monotheists, they don't reject the existence of God but believe that religions are man-made, so mankind has really brought this onto themselves.

What does Quran say about deists?

      Peace,

Could you please elaborate your question a little? I am not sure what you want to know.

Not sure of what you mean here but if its
"Those who do not practice any organized religion".
As cited in your title then herewith the list of some of those character whose stories being mentioned in the Quran

        • Adam and his companion
        • Noah
        • Lot
        • Jacob
        • Joseph
        • Not so clear name of a person who were eaten by a fish
        • Moses
        • Unnamed Moses Friend who showed him the ultimate wisdom

And these character apparently suffered by the predominant organized religion in their time

        • Jesus (Crucified)
        • John (Beheaded)
        • Abraham (Burned at the stake)

          Peace,

          Thanks for the comments.

          I've edited my first post.

I'm really interested about that because I met several Muslims who left Islam and became deist. Having discussed with them on the existence of God, I have come to conclusion that they truly believe in God. Personally, I don't think that they commit shirk.

            Peace,

Why would they commit shirk? I do not really label myself muslim although I have confidence that the recitation (Quran) really is inspired by God and I adhere to its contained decree and judgment, which is the virtually the same as the one Moses and Jesus received.

In fact most people who label themselves muslim commit shirk on the other hand.

            God bless you

Good for them, as tradition/religion/social identity/relics/holy book doesn't matter.
It's their deed that shall matter.

The Quran contains life stories of people (which I listed above) that never read the Quran in their lifetime.
And most of them never read any book at all, as ink and paper was not even invented during their lifetime.

                Deists believe that

                • God (on the evidence of reason and nature only) exists but they reject supernatural revelation > They reject Quran

Do the people think that they will be left because they say, "We believe", and they will not be tested?

And indeed, We tested those who were before them, and Allah will surely make evident (to distinguish/to prove) those who are truthful, and He will surely make evident (to distinguish/to prove) the liars.

I'm really interested about that because I met several Muslims who left Islam and became deist. Having discussed with them on the existence of God, I have come to conclusion that they truly believe in God. Personally, I don't think that they commit shirk.

What will happen to deists who think that they believe in the existence of God, meanwhile at the same time they also clearly underestimate the Qur'an or even oppose some of God's orders in the Qur'an?

Looks like some people realize that God exists, but they don't really care about Him.

Is it enough for us for only admitting that God exists and doing what we think is good and at the same time do not really listen to the message of Qur'an?

Is that really can save us in the Day of Judgement?

Who will guarantee that we will pass God's court safely by only admitting that God is exists but not really submit to Him?

                Peace.

p.s. I do not take human's opinion as guarantee for my own safety in the hereafter.

Perhaps, some people may commit shirk by associating God with themselves.

They may acknowledge that God exists, but they ignore His orders and prefer to do what they like without feeling that they must obeying God's command.

                  Peace.

People in the past have their own times, their own eras. I don't really know how God guided them.

However, now is our time, and we have so many facilities. Human now have papers, have ink, have printers, have internet.

The message of the Qur'an is already spreading now and a lot of people already read the Qur'an.

And most of people on earth still reject it, aren't they?

                    Peace.

This might come as a 'surprise' for you, although it is very very obvious.
God guided them in the past in the same manner as God guided them in the now and in the future.

And most of people on earth still reject it, aren't they?

Are they? And does it matter?
(This thought process is similar to Jesus fans club who think that the most important thing is to accept Jesus and the Gospel and those who didn't will get an eternal damnation in gehenna)

If one pass the reference by name, even Jesus will reject himself.

                      A Do you know Jesus?
Jesus Jesus ??? I never heard of that name.
                      A Do you accept Quran?
Jesus Who is he? I never heard of him either..

                      Now let's try another approach..

A Do you agree that the most important commandment is to Love the Lord your God with all your heart and with all your soul and with all your mind and with all your strength and to also to love your neighbor as yourself.
Jesus I tell you, you are not far from the Kingdom of God
A Do you agree that we must works towards peace with compassion and forgiveness?
Jesus If you do that, you're a Son of God.

                        Salaam,

I don't know details about Deists, so I cannot answer, sorry.
But I agree with most of the points made by brother Jafar. Please take a look at the following aayat.

                        172

And We gave Musa the Book and made it a guidance for the sons of Israel that you not take other than Me as guardian.

The aayat above has three parts.
1- We gave the Book to Musa
2- We made it a guidance for bani Israel
3- That you should not make anyone other than Me as a guardian

Musa does not require the Book for his guidance because he was getting a direct guidance from Allah, hence Book is not required.

We can also get a direct guidance, but we are not yet on the level of Musa, so we need the Book to guide us.

May Allah increase our knowledge and guide us on His path pr

We are not living in the era of Musa, brother.

I don't refer to the people in ancient time, but I refer to the people in our time who already read the Qur'an and admit that God exists. The message of the Qur'an already reach them, while they're rejecting the Qur'an but saying that they believe in God.

I can't understand why there are some people who seem so sure that doing good deed is enough for us even if we don't want to follow the Qur'an. How can they be so sure?

If I believe in their words and follow what they say, then, are they willing to guarantee my safety in the hereafter?

Are they able to be my protectors on the Day of Judgment?

                          Peace.

                            Peace,

God will guide anyone and it does not take a recitation (Quran) for it even if it is useful to confirm what you have faith in to boost it. If you have nothing to dispute about then he recitation may also be redundant. I tend to say that it is a recitation for those who have doubt, but surely it is intended for anyone who seek faith.

All the advocated restrictions and guidelines come along pretty natural unless one has a disease in their heart or lived on another planet or adhered to conjecture.

The major intention with the recitation is to increase the faith of those who read it because they see there is something from God.

But God guides anyone who is a doer of good and who do not fall for conjecture. And they are careful in putting faith in what they hear and read. And someone with increased faith and proximity to God will channel inspiration interactively.

                            God bless you

I have nothing to argue about that, brother.

                              However,

Can we sure that we will be secure in the hereafter if

                              • We're saying to other that we believe in God.
                              • We're doing good deeds (in the range of what we think are good).
                              • We already read the Qur'an - but don't find it suitable for us, so we decide not to follow it.

If we're in that position until we die, is there any clear guarantee for us that we can still be protected from Hell?

If you have nothing to dispute about then he recitation may also be redundant.

If we only live when we were kids/babies, then maybe we have nothing to dispute, but most likely our condition will be far different if we continue to live until we reach adulthood.

                              Peace.

                                Peace Javalette.

I would have thought the criteria of belief is to believe in GOD , His scriptures , messengers ...etc

If one finds/reads/... Qoran, then rejects it. Is that a believer?

Thus, we inspired to you a revelation proclaiming our commandments. You had no idea about the scripture, or faith. Yet, we made this a beacon to guide whomever we choose from among our servants. Surely, you guide in a straight path.
                                ,

This Qoran guides to the best path, and brings good news to the believers who lead a righteous life, that they have deserved a great recompense.

This Qoran settles many issues for the Children of Israel; issues that they are still disputing.
And most assuredly, it is a guide and mercy for the believers.

He sent down to you this scripture, truthfully, confirming all previous scriptures, and He sent down the Torah and the Gospel
before that, to guide the people, and He sent down the statute book. Those who disbelieve in God's revelations incur severe retribution. God is Almighty, Avenger.

He is the One who sends down to His servant clear revelations, in order to lead you out of the darkness into the light. God is Compassionate towards you, Most Merciful.

Would a believer reject Qoran? Not follow Qoran, once they come across it?...etc.

                                GOD bless you.
                                Peace.

                                  Peace Java Latte,

If you find the recitation not suitable for you then you probably do not understand it. If one reads a tainted translation/ interpretation of it and think that that is the way it was supposed to be then it is understandable that one rather rejects it, but if they understand that it is due to man's inability to properly read it as it was supposed to be understood they have really no reason not to have faith that God revealed signs of existence to people and also helped then with some guidelines and ways to have them reflect.

But if they refuse anyway then as long as they do good and still uphold the decree of the Mosaic instruction and have faith in God and the Hereafter they will be judged according to it. I doubt they will go to Hell based on a misunderstanding.

                                  God bless you

                                    Peace Man of faith.

We humans find many excuses. GOD knows our innermost thoughts, just as well.

If one finds ,nowdays a bad translation, a good reason for not accepting God s word, then they are not searching properly?

If they refuse the content, only the Lord can decide their fate. We cannot say for sure even if they do good.

                                    GOD bless you.
                                    Peace.

                                        Peace,

I see nothing that prevents them as long as they have faith and do good.

Even the rites are there because we need them and not that God has any need for anything. And to each is his own.

But if I read and thought that "Quran" was lackluster I would also doubt it. I had problems with it until I myself sat down and really deep-studied it. Cut hands of thieves and weak minded women who all of them cut their hands was not really my cup of tea. And brain dead rituals to go to some house in the desert because it is an idol to use to focus on God was also something that disturbed my peace. Thankfully I already had faith in God before I started reading the recitation and I saw between the perverted lines that it was a composition by the almighty despite that taking the interpretation/translation into account it is on intelligence level of a schoolchild.

Everything is about ultimate devotion to God alone and associate nothing with The Master and not even your messenger that came with the decree and judgment. Because you have "Quran" you do not have to trust anyone but yourself and if a messenger comes he/she will be compatible with what was already decreed and revealed before.

                                        God bless you

                                          Peace Javalette.

I would have thought the criteria of belief is to believe in GOD , His scriptures , messengers ...etc

If one finds/reads/... Qoran, then rejects it. Is that a believer?

Would a believer reject Qoran? Not follow Qoran, once they come across it?...etc.

                                          GOD bless you.
                                          Peace.

                                          Peace brother.

I've observed some people from various beliefs.

And so far, I think someone who really believe in God (and not only by saying it) will not reject the Qur'an.

And based on what I know, somehow looks like the people who love God (the Creator) also find that the Qur'an is easily accepted/appealing for them - I think it's quite amazing, but I still don't know for sure the reason behind this, perhaps it is special gift from God for those who love Him.

                                          Peace.
