You must be kidding, we are discussing about salat and there are millions of people who are performing salat and at the same time committing crimes, corruptions, bribery, cause disunity and burned people alive, misused zakat and sadaqah money for themselves or some huge projects etc. . . . some of them rape their own daughter, torturing their wife, don't work and live on their wife's income etc. . .

"..(ritual) salat prohibits immorality and wrongdoing.." (2945) ?

They all perform 5 daily prayers. . . and that's also a fact, your say ?

    Salam alaykum.

When did I say their salats are being established appropriately? They idolize prophet Muhammad (pbuh) in their salat. They have exchanged the Quran with the books of Bukhari, Muslim etc. They do not study the Quran themselves, but blindly follow their peers, sheikhs and forefathers.

I was simply talking about those believers who establish their salat from the guidance of the Quran alone and live through the rules, commandments and teachings of the Quran alone without associating any partners with Allah; those who use their God-gifted intellect and do not follow the herd mentality of the masses.

    Regards.

So you are saying their salat are all wrong and rejected by Allah simply because they follow the hadith and idolize prophet Muhammad in their salat etc, ie. more than 1 billion people on earth. . . .

Can you guarantee their salat are all rejected by Allah?

c.f. They are not all the same
from the people of the Book are a nation that is upright <- they don't follow the Quran at all
they recite the revelations of God during the night hours and they prostrate
They believe in God and the Last Day
and order kindness and prohibit vice
      and they hasten in goodness
these are of the good doers.
And what they do of good will not be turned back
and God is aware of the righteous.
      3115-117

      . . .

and where did you get your solat ? Is it 100% free from the hadith ?

      . . .

IMO this is a clear example of the Sectarian God. . .

p.s. you ignore the other core issue I have raised on the validity of the Pillars of Islam.

        Salam alaykum.

If a Christian says he follows the Bible, and at the same time believes Jesus (pbuh) is Allah, will anything from him be accepted? From a Quranic perspective, it won't be accepted.

Now, if Muslims establish salat and simultaneously commit non-stop shirk, will their salat be accepted? Again, from a Quranic perspective, it won't be accepted.

And the burden of proof is upon you to prove me that siyam is not about fasting, and salat is not about time-scheduled linking/connecting with Allah. I have 40 different translations by 40 different translators (which includes Quran-alone translators) whose understanding regarding salat and siyam is corresponding to mine. So the burden of proof is upon you to show us clearly that their translations are wrong, why they are wrong, and how they should be translated. And then provide us with your translations of all those passages using valid source of reference.

Until you cannot do this, please do not ask anyone to follow your system.

To you your system, and to me is mine.

        Best regards.

          Peace,

What if all those 40 translations are erroneous?

Humans have a tendency of just blindly following, not exactly critically evaluating something at the expense of both reason and logic.

Sorry, I don't believe in your Sectarian God, the God who only support your view.
The God who only accept your prayers, and rejected the prayers of more than 1 billion Muslim.
and I have give you verse (3115-117). . which as usual, you ignore. . .and ignore.

            . . .

And the burden of proof is upon you to prove me that siyam is not about fasting,

Why should I prove? I don't believe fasting is from Allah. . .

and I don't believe in God who does not noticed that the earth is a sphere. laugh

You want me to believe, then it is your burden of proof to show why your God does not notice that the earth is a sphere. . . and that your God wishes people to fast for 22 hours a day, with 2 hours to break their fast, perform Maghrib, Isha and tarawih prayers, and then prepare for the next fasting day. . . IMO this is nonsense, and I don't believe in that God, sorry.

            . . .

and salat is not about time-scheduled linking/connecting with Allah.

Again . . why it is my burden of proof when there is nothing that say about salat from A to Z, while at the same time the Quran says "DO NOT ASK" what's not in the Quran ? Do you realize the consequences of ignoring the "DO NOT" commands from the Quran ?

O you who believe, DO NOT ASK about things which,
            if revealed to you, would harm you;
and if you ask about them after the Qur'an has been sent down,
then they will become clear to you.
God pardons for them, and God is Forgiving, Compassionate.
            5.101

and in fact, I have showed that the Pillars of Islam is fake . .

Therefore, show me verses from the Quran that tells how to salat from A to Z.
If you cannot show from verses of the Quran, then why you are making compulsory for more than 1 billion Muslims when Allah have not explained it in the Quran ?

            • Please also remember that you cannot explain from the hadith. .

            . . .

To you your system, and to me is mine.

            Agree. . .

The Arabs are the worst in rejection and hypocrisy
and more likely not to know the limits
of what God has sent upon His messenger
            997

IMO Pillars of Islam is fake. . . it is from the Arab's Religion , and I don't believe in your Pillars of Islam.

IMO watch how the animals went out during the morning and back at the evening. . each have their own duty and contribution to the eco system and overall system of life.

Do you not see that everything in the heavens and the earth glorifies (oneness, assimilate) God? Even the birds in formation, each knows its contact prayer (duty?) and its glorification (oneness, assimilate). And God is fully aware of everything they do. 2441

That might explain about solat, ie. for Muslim to go out during daylight and actively establish balance in the society. .
perform their duty and service to other human beings. .
                benefiting self, family and humanity
so that they can maintain the system for living in peace and harmony
helping each other in anyway they can to succeed in life
so that they can develop the economy and many can sadaqah, establishing real wealth
that lowering bribery, corruption, and prevent crimes rate
makes everyone financially, emotionally and environmentally happy
and thus . . make the society highly motivated for unity, as "one nation". .

IMO that is salat. . .

"..salat (performance of duty according to the injunction of the Quran) prohibits immorality and wrongdoing.." (2945)

However, I'm still struggling to find the right word to describe all the above. . .

                      Salamun alaykum.

Appointing rites and rituals does NOT in any way make Allah a sectarian Allah. It is for our own benefit only if you knew. You are probably looking at the deen through the lens of the 21st century. We are the people of the modern era, with knowledge of science and technology, hence we do not need any rituals like the people of the old, right?

Those who uphold the time-scheduled salat by bowing and prostrating with humility in their hearts, remembering Allah alone without calling unto prophet Muhammad or any other prophets (pbut), and without engaging into any kind of shirk, are indeed spiritually better and more purified than those who do not. IT IS A FACT AND YOU CANNOT DENY THIS. THEY ARE GLORIFYING AND SEEKING THE PLEASURE OF ALLAH MORE IN AN APPROPRIATE MANNER THAN THOSE WHO DENY THE TIME-SCHEDULED SALAT.

                      EXACTLY!
                      Thanx

Each knows its LESSON (teaching/instruction). You see they already alem (know) it in the phrase.

This is the breakthrough in interpretation of salat that I have been working on for several months. Or would people believe in praying birds?

IMO knowledge alone would be contradicting the following verse. . .

The example of those who were given the Torah
but then failed to uphold it
is like the donkey that is carrying a cargo of books
Miserable indeed is the example of the people who denied the revelations of God
And God does not guide the wicked people.
                          62.5

                          . . .

Do they not reflect on the Qur'an? (ie. is referring to the interpretation)
If it was from any other than God
they would have found in it many a discrepancy.
                          482

Therefore, knowledge alone has no significance. . .

                          . . .

Or would people believe in praying birds?

It is the signs. . . for describing salat.

God does not shy away from putting forth the example of a mosquito, or anything above it.
As for those who believe, they know that it is the truth from their Lord.
As for the rejecters, they say "What does God intend with this example?"
He strays many by it, and He guides many by it; but He only strays by it the wicked.
                          2.27

                          unity. . .

Even the birds in formation, each knows its contact prayer and its glorification

Mohammed (&#1612 is the messenger of God
and those who are with him are severe against the rejecters
but merciful between themselves <- severe and merciful is salat ? unity for just vs. unjust

You see them <- just like birds in formation

Their distinction is in their faces, as a result of prostrating. (?)

Such is their example in the Torah (REFER HERE)
And their example in the Gospel
is like a plant which shoots out
                          and becomes strong
and thick and it stands straight on its trunk, pleasing to the farmers.

That He may enrage the rejecters with them.
God promises those among them who believe and do good works
a forgiveness and a great reward.

                            Beautiful! Now we're talking!
Because afterall, isn't our sole mission in this life to wake up to reality and act properly and right? What else can possibly be important?
We need to wake up, purify ourselves within, and then step by step, work on purifying our surrounding... i.e. to work for peace, understanding, goodness, honesty and unity.

I always find it extremely odd when people think that the most important thing in their day is to do the 5xNamaz, in order to receive nourishment and credit. What nourishment? What a self deceiving illusion. How the heck do you get nourishment from 5xNamaz that you can't get from somewhere else? 5xNamaz is actually a selfish act, done to relieve your conscience and earn credit and status from the on-lookers. 5xNamaz is definitely not prohibiting evil and vice. This alone should be enough to rule out 5xNamaz as Solat.

However, I'm still struggling to find the right word to describe all the above. . .

We seem to collectively getting a more and more accurate idea of solat. Let the purification process of the understanding of this concept continue.

                            Peace muslims, and all.

That have wasted my times for so many years, without any benefit. . . and the following verse has no relevancy according to the interpretation of the "religion" of Islam. . .

And We send not the messengers except as bringers of good tidings and warners.
                              So whoever believes and reforms
there will be no fear concerning them
                              nor will they grieve.
                              6.48

good tidings ? no fear and grieve ? laugh

Yes, but that remembrance is not a function of the 5xNamaz itself and its steps and motions. Perhaps that person who does the 5xNamaz, and then remembers a lesson, achieves the remembrance due to his or her own self and open mindedness and sincerity to reality, and not due to the 5xNamaz in and by itself. There can be many other things that make people remember, such as reading the quran, or listening to wise people, or making observations from experiences and drawing wise conclusions.

The issue is that many people (the mainstream) hold the 5xNAmaz to be a unique activity which produces results that no other activity would be able to. This is a narrow view of reality, and naive, or rather ignorant. At least we need to acknowledge that there is lots and lots of things we don't personally know. We always need to acknowledge the existence of the Big Unknown. It's arrogant to be too sure of oneself. People think they're safe and saved just because they do the 5xNamaz. This view if, in my opinion, very mechanistic, akin to the belief of Christians that states that all you need to be saved is to accept Jesus as your Lord. It involves no real effort of self improvement or promotion of goodness.

Also, the belief that 5xNamaz is something special in the sense of it being a unique key to achieve spiritual nourishment etc, rather prohibits progress than prohibits vice. If you're locked in one understanding and belief, then this by definition hampers further insight. Solat has the effect of causing the prohibition/inhibition of evil and vice. 5xNamaz does not have this effect. Rather, it has no other effect than bringing people together socially (to some extent) and giving the daily routine a structure, and perhaps some exercise to the body. But these benefits are not unique to 5xNamaz.

                                    Peace bro, and all

                                      Peace brother Zulf,

Thanks for your elaboration, but I was talking about the real meaning of the words aquyum assalat.

As far as I understand it does not speak of prayer whatsoever. And the alleged timings are just invented.

And if we looked at it from that perspective then it looks like it is all that God cares about. What kind of god would that be?

                                        Right.

The God of 5xNamaz is the same kind of God as the mainstream Christians envision... a separate being with human like emotions. So sad we insist on degrading God to be like us... like something, while God is beyond all association. So sad we are not peaceful enough to resist inventing God.

                                        Peace

                                          Peace Zulf.

                                          Very interesting topic"salat".

Do you agree that sometimes this word can mean different things in Qoran?

I wonder what it means in the following verses

(O Children of Israel) you shall observe the SALAT & zakat; you shall " Irkaou" with the "Rakieen".

Does this following verse have any relation with {243} above

O Mary (Mariam), you shall obey your Lord, and shall "Usjudi" and "Irkaee" with the "Rakieen".

                                          Also
(Jesus said) God has made me blessed wherever I go, and He commanded me to observe the SALAT and zakat for as long as I live

Generations came thereafter who LOST the SALAT , and pursued their lusts.

Maybe there is no "salat" prayers according to some?

The argument that some are wasting their time doing "salat" prayers is right for some . Qoran itself says that.
Also the argument that some do them "lazily" and only show off for "peer pressure" is also right. Qoran says so .

However there are those who have good intentions, hear and obey their Lord and dedicate all their "salat" to GOD Alone.

If we look in the oldest prayer books for the Jews we can still see their prayers very similar to what the Muslims do today, they bow down and fall prostrate. Of course they made it up?

And we granted him (Abraham) Isaac and Jacob as a gift, and we made them righteous. And we appointed them Imams who guide in accordance with our commandments. AND WE TAUGHT THEM RIGHTEOUS WORKS AND THE OBSERVANCE OF SALAT and zakat.

Living this life is full of "rituals" and habits .From "sleeping to eating to washing to partying... Perhaps we can come up with a completely new way of life... Perhaps nobody really understands Qoran...?

                                          In fact God tells us

...the Salat are decreed for the believers at specific times.

"Unity, lesson,..." do not make sense to me here!

I am happy to carry on with my" ritual" prayers ,dedicating them to GOD Alone. And I am very happy with that.
Of course others can "unite" or "observe the lesson" ...Or whatever they choose to do with "observe salat".

                                          GOD bless you brother.
                                          Peace.
