SAYING YA ALLAH IS SINFUL.
Saying ?ya Allah? is a sinful way to invoke/call to God, and saying ya to any death persons is association.
The word YA is used to call attention, to make emphasis, something like saying ?Hey,? ?O,? ?Listen.?
Saying ?Ya Allah?
Phrases like ?O prophet (ya naby), O people (ya alnas) , O believers (ya muminin), O unbelievers (ya kafirin), etc,? can be found in the Quran. However, statements like ?O my Lord (ya Rabi),??O our Lord (ya Rabina),??O God (ya Alah),? do not seem to be found in it. Although translator seem to love to translate that way, the Quran teaches us that it is wrong, for in it you only find ?Lord(Rabi),? ?My Lord(Rabii),? ?Our Lord (Rabina),? and,?God(Alah), when somebody addresses/invokes/calls Him.
Saying Ya when calling/invoking God is like saying listen, and that is a sinful way, for the quran says
2104 O YOU who have attained to faith! Do not say, "Listen to us," but rather say, "Have patience with us," and hearken , since grievous suffering awaits those who deny the truth.
We do not need to call his attention, because we already have all His attention, for they are recording even our thoughts.
Saying Ya to any death persons is association
It is association because we humans can only listen/hear when we have ears of flesh and are able. After we die, we are put to sleep until the Day of Judgment and our ears become dust, and those sleeping and whose ears have become dust do not listen. Only Allah is the Hearing, the Knowing, the Seeing. He is the only one who hears without ears, sees without eyes, and possesses knowledge without having a brain to store it. Therefore talking to somebody who is death as if he were alive is association and a sinful way. For example Even wishing for somebody who has die by saying ?O I hope you get the best of reward of God for you were good to me? is sinful, rather it should be said ?My Lord, I hope you give him the best of rewards for he was good to me?.
I we were to analyze most of the phrases we commonly use, mostly here in the west, we will find that most of them are sinful, even giving tanks to somebody. Instead of saying tank you, we should rather say,? God will pay you what you have given me? or ?may God pay it to you,? or ?Tank you Lord for what you have send me with this man/woman/brother.?
May God increase our knowledge and give us some wisdom.

How about 2530 and 4388?
Calling out; "ya X" (dead person's name) is ignorant, because they hear not. Shia Muslims in Iran usually say "Ya Ali" when rising from a chair which I suspect is to commemorate imam Ali's struggle. It is wrong.
Be of one with God
-
salam brother
yes those shia are very lost people.
one of their imans here where I live gave me a book called "know your islam", which contains the shia creed. In his mind, he was guiding me to the right path. The poor man did not know that he gave me the sharpest weapon against the shia sect.
may God increase our knowledge and gives us some wisdom.

If you address a person with "ya", you probably have a message that you wish him/her to pay attention to. But if you say "ya Allah", you do feel that you're addressing a person? When addressing God, the words used are for YOUR FOCUS. Obviously God knows what's in your mind and heart, but your have to do the expressing. You use words to crystallize your thoughts and to express yourself. Do you think God will feel insulted if we use "ya" as a way to focus on God? God is not an emotional person.
How exactly do you gather from 2104 that "ya" is sinful? What is 2104 talking about anyway?

God is not an emotional person
I would rather call God "being" not "person"
You are saying is that the one who created feelings on us, and made our soul on his own image, has no feelings.Judge by yourself is God is emotional or not
Exodus 205
You shall not bow down to them or worship them; for I, the Lord your God, am a jealous God, punishing the children for the sin of the parents to the third and fourth generation of those who hate me,

Exodus 3414
Do not worship any other god, for the Lord, whose name is Jealous, is a jealous God.

Harmony brothers,
It is true from wrkmmn dear brother zulf, if "God" was referred as "person" then the narration would use the Arabic letters or in affixing, but it never happens in reference to "God". although is used through which is involved as a "silent/invisible letter" of it or default grammatical meaning unless marks character. And marks 'entity". is hence "entity thereby". It is kind of anonymous.
Only with a form of it has that kind of character/person meaning.
"God" does not exist as a (distinctly characterized) object but exist in all energy ("God" is existence itself) that surround us and our suggested action is to get assimilated with it in spirit and go by the phenomenon "united in Allah", i.e. "amen b'Allah".
"God" is a soo advanced entity it is nearly incomprehensible. But I would argue about "God" being jealous, that is likely a poor translation or false narrative. One cannot call for others to not be jealous and be that oneself. Not being jealous is one of the primary commandments, and would "God" be jealous then "God" breaks the commandment. "God" has no needs so why would "God" care? "God" has no ego since "God" has no character, but simply exist and represents good and the ones who would like to keep existing better align with that spirit or be an anomaly and face the consequences.
It is true that "God" created man to be an image of itself, so this is why the prophets taught to people to be in its spirit. That is the actual test, to become united in "God" and live thereby, or do not and face the consequences of being an anomaly. Everything will have to do with abstract energy which is nearly impossible to comprehend, but you do become attuned in with your 'Foundation' through working on your character by showing good behavior and improvement and doing what is good.
The people who create for themselves gods likely lose focus on what their lives are truly about so this is why making an image of something or even objectify "God" is so detrimental. It is mostly all the conjecture around the created gods that "God" despises the most and its jurisdiction and while they are supposed to represent the image of "God" in unity they have some other vain image.
Unity in "God"

I would rather call God "being" not "person"
You are saying is that the one who created feelings on us, and made our soul on his own image, has no feelings.I tend to agree that it seems God has feelings.
But! I don't think that God is a jealous God.
Exodus 205
You shall not bow down to them or worship them; for I, the Lord your God, am a jealous God, punishing the children for the sin of the parents to the third and fourth generation of those who hate me,
Deuteronomy 424
For the Lord your God is a consuming fire, a jealous God.
Exodus 3414
Do not worship any other god, for the Lord, whose name is Jealous, is a jealous God.
Deuteronomy 3242
I will make my arrows drunk with blood, while my sword devours flesh the blood of the slain and the captives, the heads of the enemy leaders.?I don't see harmony occurred between the parts in red with the verses in the Qur'an.
As I recall, I never found the verse in the Qur'an which tells us that God is a jealous God.
Through the Qur'an, I think God does not teach me that He is a jealous God. I think Allah speaks the truth, but not jealous.
Praise be to Allah. My Lord is the Most Gracious, the Most Compassionate.

Yes obviously, God is not a person... like I said God is not an emotional person. I guess 'being' is a pretty decent word, as it gives it life but not much more limiting boundaries than that. I any case, God cannot be defined or encompassed by us and our descriptions. This is why I say that God is not like a human being/person. That would just be too limiting... mad.
-
Well, what are feelings/emotions anyway? If God has feelings, or emotions, then I'm sure they wouldn't be what we experience anyway. What I actually mean is that I cannot consider God as having qualities of a human being. We may be having attributes, in part, of God, but God is not human-like. There's a difference. So like I said, God is not an emotional person, unless you're a Christian perhaps.
-
I don't think we can use some lines of text from books of "Chinese whispers" to judge/establish what God is. God is faaaaar beyond being described by a book like that. What the referred to text is claiming should not automatically be taken as ultimate truth. By the way, is God a sinner? Wasn't jealousy one of the famous seven sins punishable by death? Also, isn't jealousy just a mental/emotional condition where someone experiences negative emotions when deprived of something in relation to someone else? Jealousy is a symptom of lack of peace. Jealousy arises when you're mentally/emotionally dependent to something, like a prisoner. When you're free, you're not jealous. God is not dependent on anything. Calling God jealous is beyond ridiculous, imho.
I would post more, but is not on me to make the blind see.
oh, ok.
Let's leave that to God then.Peace

I believe that God does not have fear. I wonder how your relationship with the Creator. Do you love Allah?
And, still you do not bring any evidence from the Qur'an to support the claim that God is a jealous God.
In my opinion, those verses do not show at all that God is jealous.
I think He wants us to place our love in the right order and He should be the First, He is the most dearest for His servants.
And it does not mean that God is jealous. Even I am pretty aware that my Lord supports the love that happened between husband and wife, if both have faith in God.
I also believe that He is Who put the love feeling in me my love to Him and my love to other people.
God is not a monster, brother.
Do you know? I think your heart seems "rigid" and I suppose it needs to be softened.

do you think that God has fearful?? vindictive?? envy??
I do not have evidence about what you are asking me. But, what if you ask God for that, now that you are interested about it, and then share with me your answer.
God wants you to fear Him not to love Him.
And, I see you talk too much about love. Can you please explain to me what love is, because I have found no satisfying answer in any book.
May God increase our knowledge and give us some wisdom.

God wants you to fear Him not to love Him.
Salamun Alaikum.
God does not need us to fear Him - we need to fear God for our own sake. If God wants us to fear Him (and He does) that is for our own benefit.
God does not need us to love Him - we need to love God for our own sake. If God wants us to love Him (and He does) that is for our own benefit.
For our own benefit we need to love God - because loving God is part and parcel of fearing for our own life (which is an unsolicited gift from God) - without this love one becomes frustrated, suicidal.
For our own benefit we need to fear God - because fearing God is part and parcel of loving our own life lest we make a mess of it - without this fear one becomes reckless and again suicidal!
Love and fear of God are thus integral to each other - flip sides of the same coin, built into every human soul for sustaining the journey of life.
....
However, the concepts of "Fear" and "Love" of God has been trivialized throughout generations. Instead of appreciating why we need to fear and love God; God has been portrayed or imagined as a ?Jealous? deity who demands our love and commands our fear! The Jews do not write ?God?, they write ?G-d? in the fear that if they write ?God? and somehow the paper is dishonored ? they will incur the wrath of God. Traditional muslims have come up with a dogma that if someone even called by the 100 names of Allah in Qur?an (like Mr. Rahman, Mr. Aziz etc.) ? immediately that would cause shirk and give the caller a ticket to hell! Some would say touching the feet of your elders to show respect is shirk, some would say going to graveyards to remember dead relatives is shirk, I have even heard that lighting candles is shirk confused . Some Quranists (especially the ones inspired by the teachings of RK) propagate the idea that God demands from them a daily salaat ritual in which humans have to worship God with undivided attention ? if you think of or mention someone other than God during the process, God is waiting to take revenge! New dogmas are surfacing every day even in this very forum ? blessing the prophet is shirk, going to the doctor is shirk and now calling ?Ya Allah? is shirk.
Let?s take a PAUSE, shall we? Let?s think again.. why does God, who is above all need, want us to love Him and fear Him?
God does not need us to fear Him - we need to fear God for our own sake. If God wants us to fear Him (and He does) that is for our own benefit.
God does not need us to love Him - we need to love God for our own sake. If God wants us to love Him (and He does) that is for our own benefit.
May Allah guide us all to the straight route.

Arman -

2526True sovereignty, that Day, is for the Most Merciful. And it will be upon the disbelievers a difficult Day.
2530And the Messenger has said, "O my Lord, indeed my people have taken this Qur'an as abandoned."these verses, of what I understand, are talking about judgment day. and, that, the Quran says, will be an awesome day, in which nobody will speak except whomever the Most Merciful allows. in that day all will be judged, and there is not recording, to what I know, on your actions on that day. therefore the attention is not on the individual, so the individual need to call the attention of the judge. this is my understanding for the moment. I seek refuge in God from being of the ignorant.
regarding the other being you talk about. they are shown to be addressed while they were alive, and if the story tells that they are being addressed by God while death ALLAH does whatever He wills.
my point is that people is using ya ALLAH for anything, even in sinful songs. therefore calling the name of God in vain, which is forbidden in the Torah. And, that people is calling death people as if they were alive.
Believers were advised not to speak to prophet as they spoke to one another. so, if one should not address prophets as one addresses one another, then we should be careful in the way we call The LORD of the worlds.
Any way, If you want to call the name of your Lord, as you call your dog or your neighbor, to you your actions and to me mine.

You changed your position when I refuted you with
Even your friend "Man of Faith" has said that you are wrong in this issue.
First you said that saying Ya Allah is sinful, but then you admit that the Prophet (peace be upon him) shall call upon Allah by saying "Ya Rabbi" (O my Lord) as it states clearly in 2530
You are obviously trying to cover your mistake by changing the issue about calling upon Allah with respect.
Your claim is that saying "Ya Allah" is disrespectful. Then why does the Prophet (peace be upon him) say on Judgment Day "Ya Rabbi"?
If you were sincere you would simply apologize for your mistake and move on. But you insist on claiming that saying "Ya Allah" is sinful without a shred of evidence from Qur'an which you claim to follow.
On what basis is saying "Ya Allah" sinful? I need evidence not more of your nonsense.
-
peace Israfeeeel
The evidence is in the first post.
I am not changing anything, I just expanded the topic. and you did not post that evidence of where it says YA ALLAH as you claimed.
regarding that example that My LORD Propounds in verse 2530 226 God does not shy away from citing the example of a mosquito, or anything above it. As for those who believe, they know that it is the truth from their Lord. As for the rejecters, they Say "What does God want with this example?" He lets many stray by it, and He guides many, but He only lets stray the evildoers.
3923Allah has sent down the best statement a consistent Book wherein is reiteration. The skins shiver therefrom of those who fear their Lord; then their skins and their hearts relax at the remembrance of Allah . That is the guidance of Allah by which He guides whom He wills. And one whom Allah leaves astray - for him there is no guide.
3941Indeed, We sent down to you the Book for the people in truth. So whoever is guided - it is for his soul; and whoever goes astray only goes astray to its detriment. And you are not a manager over them.May Allah increase our knowledge and give us some wisdom.

It is true though that nowhere in the scripture anyone says " " (ya Allah) except once by sectarians, but where it occurs it is " " (ya rabb). This has its reasons and that it as to what the word 'Allah' intricately means (it is due to what I have been speaking of that Allah is not an object name but a collective abstract entity spirit name that a man can belong with, so thus does no knowledgeable man say "ya Allah". Only once is Allah used in Quran as address and that is by ignorant sectarians).
The "personal" address for 'Allah' is 'Rabb' which is something like 'Sustainer/Foundation', but can also be someone who is your boss (I dislike 'Lord' because is connotes male as Allah has no gender).
The word Allah should only be used in choice of words as to be referring to something third-person.
Be faithful
-
I think one should be careful to make claims about what is sinful or not, like people used to say this is haram this is halal without anything clearly being stated in that regard.
If people say Ya Allah with sincerity and no disrespect intended, do you think Allah would not know their intention? If people say HEY ALLAH! LISTEN UP! That is different of course. Allah is the judge in these matters, and I would not be so bold to say that saying Ya Allah is sinful, I don't know, the Qur'an never said clearly that it is sinful to say Ya Allah. It did say it is sinful to make up sins and make claims that things are haram when Allah has never said it in the revelation clearly.
