    Peace mmkhan.

Of course I get what you are trying to say. However accepting GODs scriptures, messengers... does not mean idolising them.

I agree GOD Alone is the only authority and source and should be the only focus.

    Peace bro,

Hmm... so you think it is not idolizing. Well, that's OK. But I am not talking about accepting, but I am talking about giving importance will surely lead you to idolizing them. Many of us may disagree with me here but this is how I understand it.

By the way brother, I look up to the sky when I implore my Creator.( Do not worry Man Of Faith, I am not looking up for a grumpy ,angry being in the sky?!!!)

    GOD bless you.
    Peace.

Hahahaaa... I do look up into the sky many times when I am in His desperate help, but not always.

May Allah increase our knowledge and guide us on His path pr

      MM Khan,
      Peace be with you!
I think the answer to your question is simple " Believe Nothing "
On the other hand , Knowing is different from believing , I dont believe in Allah/God/Insert some Random name .Instead, I know that there is Allah. However i cant translate to the exact name and form in English
( 1/0= infinity ) -Thats my version of Allah.
Belief in Kitabs- I would prefer knowing Kitabs ,and see everything with the same skeptical eye. I accept portions which I can accept and reject the portions which i cannot accept. After all, Allah commands me "Afala taiqiloon?" in quran.I use the same against quran sometimes
Belief in maalika- As of now i have not witnessed any angel like feeling surrounding me . Whether such thing exists , I dont know . But i will believe them when the need/evidence arises to believe them .

I am trying to be true to myself . Allah be the judge .Its afterall, he who gave me the "freewill"

        Peace,

Should I have inserted "because" after yes? like this?

Question 1. Do we need to believe in all messengers and prophets? Why?
Ans. Yes, why? because they all bought the same message.

Question 2. Do we need to believe in all books of Allah? Why?
Yes, because all Books are a continuation of the guidance, together they all comprise one book.

Question 3. Do we need to believe in malaaika? Why?
Yes, because we believe in the unseen. )

It's amazing the difference one word makes! )

        God bless you

Since you asked these questions like a poll question, so am free to share my view without imposing it
          upon others.

My answer would be that if I believe in Quran and also believe every word of Quran is from my Lord revealed unto his messengers through Angel(s), then I must also believe in Angels, Prophets and books.

It is a package, I can not choose to believe what I want or feels like (from Quran).

I may not be able to comprehend full understanding of all these words but with time and learning I wish I would be able to gradually, however that does not make me NOT believe in them as that is part of my faith as God himself ask me to believe in them (many verses are there where God ask us to believe in them). And many verses are there where God refers to them as during a conversation.

As to believing is seeing, yes, I did not see angels, or prophets but I am blessed at least in my time to read and try to understand Quran which indeed talks about God, Angles, Prophets and books.

As for the one who believes in supreme power as the creator of this universe and he or she does not feels like going further in believing in angles, books or prophets, I think he or she is still on the right path because believing in the creator is a big step towards finding one self.

          Cheers

                  verse (2285)
"The Messenger has believed in what was revealed to him from his Lord, and the believers. All of them have believed in Allah and His angels and His books and His messengers, , "We make no distinction between any of His messengers." And they say, "We hear and we obey. Peace,

I have some questions, basically it is a single question.

1- Do we need to believe in all messengers and prophets? Why?
2- Do we need to believe in all books of Allah? Why?
3- Do we need to believe in malaaika? Why?

The basic question is why we need to believe anyone or anything when we believe in Allah. Believing in Allah alone is not enough? After all there will be only Allah and any ONE of us in standing in front of Him alone . So, where they all come in picture? I don't see any reason in believing the above mentioned beside Allah.

Wow! 8719 is not about book bro, it is suhoof means instructions. Now you can see a clear difference in Musa's case who was given suhoof as well as a book where suhoof was for himself. The book was not for himself but for bani Israel as per 172. Hope you can see a clear difference.

BTW when I said about Ibrahim, it means, he did not have any EARLIER book to follow and receive guidance.

                            Here is your list

                            Book, messenger, prophet for guidance

You did not set your limit at "book" also corpus has suhufi as scriptures, sheets, plates
and pages, others translate suhufi as scrolls. Would not instructions be guidance?

                              peace,

Red I am trying to say "YES" instead. But need to some time to understand it better, inshaAllah.

we have to keep away from our minds the following

                              • parents

                              • sons/daughters

                              • brothers/sisters

                              • spouse

                              • relatives

                              • the wealth you have saved

                              • the business you fear a loss

                              • the houses you live in pride

these things should never be very dear to us. this is the start of Allah alone. you said "i'm trying to say YES". is this 'yes' about your wholesome surrender to Allah alone?

you said inshaAllah. all good is from Allah only. when you wish for good, then will not Allah will the same. then, it must be mashaAllah. isn't it?

Red What process? And why few? And why not all?

the message is a revelation. first, the message to be understood. secondly, how will the message be useful in our life? to be reasoned. finally, we should follow. as the message is a revelation, we should get 'Wahi' direct from Allah. if not behind a veil through malaaika. if we do not qualify then through the appointed messengers who get revelation, understand the message, the usefulness of the message in their life and follow the message in their lives. then, they start their duty clarifying the message to the believers to make them a living witness of the message, the messengers being a prior witness for Allah and His message. till the end of this world this happens.

for this i should identify and know my guide who will guide me through the message to Allah alone. these are the starting process.

only a few accept the message. because the message when clarified, only a few accept and say "yes, i'm living against the message". only when one accepts he is against the message, then he becomes qualified for guidance from the message. the fact is all are not qualified. (2.38 - Allah say, get down everybody).

Blue Why you always mixing malaaika with Allah? Allah never said in such a way.

sorry for my language. i think i have clarified now above, it is not direct from malaaikas but through malaaikas behind the veil.

Well, what, after we learn how Allah communicates with us? We still need them?

let this process of learning from Allah direct start. later, Allah will guide. let that not bother now.

                              peace bro

For me belief is something which imprisons you. Hence I believe in nothing. However knowledge is different to belief. When you believe in something without proper evidence, you tend to defend the belief thereby you lose your power to reason , the power to be skeptical of that very belief you have . Hope this makes some sense to you

                                  Harmony mmkhan,

Sorry for a late reply. I have been traveling.

                                  Peace bro,

I still very strongly believe that alQuraan is the book from Allah. No doubts in it.

Red Would you please clarify what do you mean by "correspondence with Allah"?

I also think Al-Qur'an is from Allah, but the Arabic word 'ketaab' does not mean book. The actual word Qur'an may be the only word that refers to something concrete, an object (it has the 'nun' - objectifying letter in it). It is said to translate into something like 'Recitation', but I would say the word refers to a concrete expression, so it may as well be in written form.

But the information you find in 'AQ' was with people before it was released. It is not mandatory to study it to know what to do, or rather how to be. And unless "corrected" 'AQ' may lead a man astray. You see millions of people who daily indulge in a Pagan ritual they derive from a context, which speaks of something entirely different, because they "think" it says that. What the 'AQ' wants to reveal to a man is not too complicated that a wise man could not figure it out for themselves; lots of allegorical stories and few rules. It speaks of how to be a spiritual person, a lot.

Red I meant that in case a person gets near Allah in spirit and gets assimilated and manages to meet the kind of spirit a man ought to have. They may then have a closer inspirational link to Allah in which they may "channel" information although I rather call it that they are merged with the spirit so that have a share of the ultimate knowledge.

                                  Be of one in Allah

I agree with Man of Faith; true! AQ is there as a software in the Ruh of all of us; sometimes when the software gets corrupted, then the hardware AQ is most essential to reinstall or to place us convincingly upon the right course, without confusion.

                                      Peace brother,

Believing in others other than Allah that they are right or whatever, what is there in it to get you plus points? We don't have to do anything with anybody actually. We are not accountable for messengers/prophets nor malaaika. Allah is not going ask us whether you believe in them or not, if not go to hell. No! We have to answer for our deeds only. So, what is the point in believing in all? Believing their existence is OK, there is no harm like I believe in Internet, computer and mobile phone's existence. Hope you get what I am trying to say, inshaAllah.

Salam, my point exactly. I believe they exist, but I am less concerned whether they "won" the game of life or not. They lived in different times and had different circumstances. When it can be transferred into my life then yes I will look at their examples but I won't be ruled by it.

With regard to the angels there are places in quran where they are mentioned multiple times and one place it is referred
That they help the prophet and his companions during the battle of badar.chp 3123-125.
Whether it affetcts my life or not is another issue. But the momemt am pretty sure of my understanding of quran verses, i should not de attach my self.
some times i feel we humans want to twist the religion to our wishes and we want to see god as we wish to.
For example i believe in certain understanding Say FAct1 but others keep telling me no, my understamding is wrong and yet am so much into it that i reject all others. Tomorrow if god tells me am wrong, i will gladly accept my fault.
point being we should not create a rigid wall around us such that we stop our journey to truth.
                                        cheers

BTW when I said about Ibrahim, it means, he did not have any EARLIER book to follow and receive guidance.

I wanna ask you something, what you mentioned about ibrahim is very nice and logic says to follow your point of view. However, who told you that Ibrahim has no earlier book to follow or a messenger or receive guidance?
If you are talking about Quran that it is mentioned about Ibrahim and how he come to know God when he sees the sun and the moon etc, then how come you believe the part of Ibrahim from Quran and not the rest of Quran (which talks about Muhammad and the books and angels ..).
If there is another source of history book that you have which base your knowledge about Ibrahim (not having a book or previous religion to follow) then please share with us.

I hope you know what I meant to say....

                                          cheers
