u know these days Muslims are sooo strict !! i mean especailly sunni's .. i m a sunni myself so i know what it feels like being in a not so strict but still strict family ... a family which says that acting is no good ... hahha ... so yeah i was saying that these days muslims say listening to music is bad, watching movies (eg . bollywood) is bad, wearing half sleeves or sleeveless tops is bad (showing no cleavage) ... how is all that bad ??? please explain someone ....... i mean if i m wrong then someone pelase correct me ... this girl asked me what i did on eid and i was like went to watch am oive.. she was like ur supposed to be religious n eerything n stay at home .... hahaha .... she was wearing a low neck line top btw ... ahaha ... irony right ?? she was also saying that the pakistani movie industry should close down and they shouldnt show women wearing sleeveless tops cus its not representing our country right .. i dont agree but who agrees with her or agrees with me on thsi whole lets ay controversy .. hahha

People are not to expose themselves so as to attract others to them sexually. There's a wide spectrum of what is best modest, so it's all up to you to make out what is best. Sunnism should have extra rules besides those given in alquran because they have 2, maybe more, sources of information and law. However, not all Sunni's are too strict and there are some who are really moderate and 'liberal' maybe.

I meant they should have extra rules because there are excess laws derived from sources besides the divine writ. From alquran we have a particular brand of law laid out for us. Other ahadeeth give other laws.

haha yeah me too .. well i think i m a good muslimn ... but sometimes u know i just lose fath when i ask for something soo desperately and the opposite happens .. hahaha i dont know if i can say this but i -ve noticed that the kuffar have their wishes granted more .. i eman life is easier for them in soo many ways ...
u know humans following religion properly n all ... i think God knew we were gonna be like this and he made our nature like this to obey and disobey various rules .... i think He'kll forgive us cus He knows we're guilable n alll ..... i hope i havent said anything wrong ! -

Those who do wrong and good both can have it bad or have it good. It depends on the circumstances and what we make of them I suppose. We are told to be wary of the possibility of being afflicted as evil ones might become afflicted. For some people, the hardships that seem 'bad' may be a blessing for their growth and reaching out to Allah.

yea no offense or anythign but it doesnt make sense cus wouldnt it make more sense if He helped muslims and showed them to be the dominating in the world so other faiths can attracted to our faith and muslims will grow in this way .. I am not saying that Allah is senseless .. Astagfirullah (sry for spelling)..... i would never say that ...
like for eg, my mum has had a foot problem for 8 years now like im ean a serious foot problem... taking 4-5 tablets a dyay .. now what would Allah get from doing this .... my life isnt very happy too these days ....i m beginning to lose faith slowly and slowly ....

Well as far as i know theres nothing in the Quran about these things so I-m assuming that these are not forbidden ...... ummm.... we shoud just reember that we should not froget our duties towards allah while taking part in these thigns ... they should also not harm us ( i mean i think thats persononal cus each person is different so yeah)

Sticking to music, I'd say it's perfectly righteous. Just ask the birds that sing every morning by God's grace.
