Translate 3abada. What you are doing and trying to push me to do is play with words. Translate 3abada. 3abada is for God. If you trnaslate a serve, then that is all right for you. I would not translate it a serve, people serve each other every day and serve even animals. You don't like the word. Fine with me I have no quarrels. But God, agains stands in no need of being served or of anything. And man cannot serve God because God does not need anything nor there is anything that man can do for Him. But peole benefit acknowledging truth, which is that they are of God and belong to Him just as everything belongs to hHIm.

An this is my last message on this question.

      Ok huruf!

To you be your judgment, and to me mine (1096).

      Ps.

      Translate 3abada.

      I have already defined bd!

What you are doing and trying to push me to do is play with words. Translate 3abada ...

      You're the one who's "playing" ... with equivocation, &c.

        Salaam,

After progress in my personal studies I would say 'dhekr' is the word which would best translate as worship but in that case 'honor', I.e. "to honor someone". "Honor GOD like you honor your fathers or even better..." If you go by lexical definitions this is the sort of remembrance that is intended in the contexts, i.e. honor the "person" in question through your actions and deeds. The opposite is obviously to dishonor someone and you probably know what would make your own father less proud of you, e.g. a criminal path, drug addiction, violent demeanor etc.

Abada means "bond (with)" or "keep to inseparably" and in the context of Quran like a merging with GOD. You could speak of devotion and that is also among the lexical definitions. And I have a methodology in my research which involves known etymology as well now so people cannot say my work is unfounded.

Because dhekr is in conflict with abada it shows the service connotation of abada clearly.

        Salaam

            LM @MOF,

If we serve others we serve GOD.

Where can I find this in the Qurn!?

And GOD is not a separate object.

My personal view of G-D is strictly Monotheistic ~ legibly different from yours! You seem to advocate merging the Creator and creation (into one)! My personal understanding of 'Divine Unity' on the other hand, is more in tune with the 1st tenet/principle of the Mutazilites ... Ergo. to me, The Divine (One) is separate from creation ...

It is in the usually very grossly misinterpreted Arabic passages. The message is actually a bit like what Jesus preached, i.e. "be in the Creator and the Creator in you". The word Elah means that in third person. There is no entity to be treated separately although you can still honor the Rabb by treading in the same image. Due to this traditional worship practices are misplaced and ignorant.

              Salaam

And yes, the "Creation", i.e. the "flesh" is separate from the Creator. Humans are two parts, spirit (nas) and body (jan) and it is only the spirit that has the potential to be the mirror of GOD. The other one is an instinctive beast animal and separate from GOD. Yet everything has the same Platform/Rabb.

There is a difference between Rabb and Allah used textually in Quran. The Allah is only the one who is it. The Rabb is set over everyone since it is the actual platform.

One can make it quite advanced as a discussion actually and why many people such as Jesus spoke in parables.

By the way, I should have written serve humanity and not any specific individuals. Serve as ALLAH. It should be treated uncountably. Infinitum.

I appreciate your further elaboration @MOF but, my question remains unanswered!
You have not provided any qurnic evidence in favor of your position! Therefore, I candidly accord no weight to it.

Besides I have posted lots of evidential fragments of my research on this forum. The mainstream interpretation including the one of the nature of the phenomenon called GOD is bogus.

Ok! but I ain't buying any.

The mainstream interpretation including the one of the nature of the phenomenon called GOD is bogus.

G-D is not a "phenomenon" in the spatiotemporal realm (a thing)!
Sublimely exalted is G-D above that which men affix to His 'unique absoluteness'!

The Divine is ONE (in Essence and Attributes).
Every'thing' is fundamentally dualistic in nature.
                        Therefore G-D transcends everything.

841 Spend your wealth for the cause of God.

3621 Thou asked them no fee for it.

Asking for money is asking for a fee. Is it not?

                          Thanks

Wow what a ridiculous thread. Spending wealth in the cause of God means giving charity to the poor, the next of kin, the needy. Muhammed and the Prophets did not ask for money from people, people were asked to share their wealth with the poor.

Ervin, you're pissing me off. Anyone can read the Qur'an and understand that, I'd imagine. I think something worse might be "holding you back".

Ok, so that one has been explained, how about the following that I copied from the freeminds Quran.

2109 Many of the people of the Book have wished that they could return
you to being rejecters after your believing, out of envy from their
souls after the truth was made clear to them. You shall forgive
them and overlook until God brings His will. God is capable of
                              all things.

The above verse contradicts the following

929 Fight those who do not believe in God or the Last Day, nor do
they forbid what God and His messenger have forbidden, nor
do they uphold the system of truth; from among the people who
have been given the Book; until they pay the reparation, willingly
or unwillingly, and they are subdued.

I think we should use this thread for those who have questions about the skeptics annotated Quran site!

                              Thanks

                                Salam Ervin,

I don't see the contradiction. One rule is applying to all the people of the book, while the other is specific to those who refuse to uphold the laws of the land they are living under.

How about the following, again, it's from the freeminds Quran

7120 And the magicians went down prostrating.
7121 They said ?We believe in the Lord of the worlds.?
7122 ?The Lord of Moses and Aaron.?
7123 Pharaoh said ?Have you become believers before I have given
you permission? This is surely some scheme which you have
schemed in the city to drive its people out; you will reveal what
                                      you know.?

1083 But none believed in Moses from his people except some from
their descendants, because of their fear from Pharaoh and his
commanders that he would persecute them. Pharaoh was high in the land
and he was of the tyrants.

                                      Thanks

Ervin, perhaps after stating the verses you can state what the alleged contradiction is.

Peace Wakas, sorry I posted that, thats not contradicting. I suppose that the descendants are the magisians.

But, this is a good ecxersise. Once I have everything cleared I can start practicing.

Also, this is a must, since these websites are turning many away.

                                          Thanks
