Wikipedia Quranism Page Vandalized
-
I am not sure when this happened, but the page seems completely vendalized. Usually, wikipedia people take action against it within minutes. But this one remains. Here is what I found
Quranists generally reject the religious authority and authenticity of hadith, sunnah, clergy, madhhabs, and traditional sharia law, considering them lies; it permits the consumption of alcohol and prohibits circumcision.
Take from me only the Quran
Quranists allow all alcoholic drinks and hold them in high reverence.
This one was sunni's Sunni scholars believe a woman cannot lead a mixed gender congregation
QuranismMales of any age can lead mixed gender congregations.Non Quranist pay a fee for protection in Quranist administered lands.
Jihad is is the assistance through weapons, supplies, and shelter of fellow Quranists who are suffering persecution and apartheid
Slavery is wrong as really all people are slaves of their creator, but slavery that exists is valid because it is grandfathered and should be gradually abolished.
Belief of QuranismCertain verses in the Quran may abrograte or supersede others.
Quranists permit men to may marry Jewish or Christian women, but Quranist women may marry only Quranist menThis isnt done by any Muslim sectarian. Clue found
Quranism does not believe in the emergence of a mahdi or dajjal Quranists believe that two powerful people called Gog and Magog are sealed between two walls of walls of iron in a mountainous place, and near the final days they will be released and cause terrible mischief, only Jesus Christ will be able to defeat them. After living for a while Jesus will himself die and day of resurrection will come.If anyone writes at wiki edit it out.

Hey Reel,
I go to Quranism wiki page sometimes out of curiosity, and recently when I checked, it also had very strange information there and was edited from how it was for a long time. I forgot which specific information was edited in Sunni vs Shia vs Quranist examples' section, but it was completely different than how it was for a long time. Then when I checked out last time, it was fine again. I wonder who edits it and put false information there every time.
I am not sure what's wiki policy about it, but can anyone just edit it and put anything there?

As Quranists, we should find who edits it and put their head on a Quranist table and separate it slowly by withdrawing the Quranist chair we have sat them on.

Vandalism happens a lot at wikipedia. One of my friends did it once just to show me. But some people already took action against it within minutes.

We don't need to catch the user. The page just needs to be brought back to its original position or the lines simply need to be edited out. I remember the alcohol thing and all the other stuffs I showed here weren't there at all.
I use to think the articles are well researched and verified but now i feel it is an unofficial website.
Some science related pages are valid because usually some universities have assignments involving adding info to those pages. Once students finish their work the professors check them for correction and grading. But at the same time, we are told strictly to never use wiki as a source for any papers. I know very well though that New World Order and illuminati pages are hijacked. They have disinfo and the people who put them together said they will keep eye on anyone trying to change the stuffs.
I AM -)
Would you be able to edit it? If you need help let us know.

Peace reel.
It does not really matter . Qoran says check it out.
Whatever is written anywhere has to be subject to (1736) anyway.
Regardless of editing, those that want to sincerely follow GOD and His word have a duty and responsibility to check everything written anywhere . i.e cross check it with Qoran and see for themselves what is true and what is false.
At the end of the day ,when humans write anything ,it needs checking..Whatever it is written and wherever it is written..
Those who take things written by humans as facts without checking/studying/investigating...them cannot complain that they have been misled/lied to... by others.
GOD bless you.
Peace. -
There are 'Quranists' who think alcohol is not forbidden according to Quran. The editing can have been made by a 'Quranist' of another opinion.
The mainstream sects often use the disunity as a weapon against this 'Quranism'.

Speak for yourself,
I ain't Quranist
Neither am I bro, just because we use the book as the only divine source of guidance in this era, doesnt give us the right to a new label to plaster our foreheads with - the same book forbids creating such nonsense.

MOF,
The alcohol part was not in the table before. You and I know that even some Sunnis and Shias drink. So it would be no surprise to see some Quran only Muslims do the same. No matter what they say, it is pretty much an individual's choice. But that line "they hold it high reverence" seems like a sarcastic way to put down the Muslim. Many of the things mentioned in that page are still being debated by all of us. So they shouldn't even exist there. -

Salaam MOF, most am aware of do not consider alcohol to be permissible. Besides, why would a Quranist start with alcohol of all subjects to introduce himself?
That first paragraph gave away the writer completely. It appear the intent was to discourage the Muslim reader from inquiring further about Quranism. To state that we consider hadith, sunnah, madhab and sharia to be just "lies" undermines and oversimplify our discourse and renders us blind rejectors. I don't think a 'Quranist' will write such.

Lol, it has just been edited 2 mins ago. That's what it says.
Wow, it's worse now. It says Quranist believe in abrogation, believing in receive the Jizya or so called taxes from non-quranists, women are allowed to beaten, women can't lead mixed gender congregations, etc.
-
Ok. Those are obvious corruptions. The sects are beginning to see this movement as a threat and are now indulging in dirty methods. Just another way of seeing their hypocrisy.

It seems to be an orphan page now. The last serious edit probably took place in 2011, but I can be wrong.
https//en.wikipedia.org/wiki/TalkQuranism
Check the conversation date in it.True, it looks like someone is playing with it
I see the new edits
Quranists allow all alcoholic drinks.
Quranism allows polygyny. In Quranism a man may have up to four wives at one time. The wives should be treated justly. Polyandry is not permitted.
Quranists believe in one deity. Their creed in Arabic is La ilaha illa al-lah wa mohammad rasool al-lah There is no deity but Al-lah and Mohammad is the emissary of Al-lah. Polytheism (shirk) is seen as the ultimate crime, the one that Al-lah will not forgive.
Males of any age can lead mixed gender congregations. Women may not lead mixed gender congregations.
The only condition in Quranism is that women dress in a way that is not provocative, not like robbers.
And the list goes on.....
Update There seems to be some kind of edit war going on
