    Peace all,

I was glad they finally legalized it.
On the other hand, I don't think homophobia will cease.
Laws don't have such a power.
Just take a look at the condition african americans.
How long has it been since they abolished slavery ?

A thing will never be abolished except as God wills.

People can make all kinds of laws against evil, but evil continues.

I believe homosexuals should be able to marry and whatever, because America is a secular and moreover deeply vile and corrupt nation, so trying to act pious suddenly is just ridiculous for them.

They should make legal all their vileness, and then say "look, there is no crime!"

      Hannibal,

It was at the end of Abraham Lincolns life before his murder in the mid 1800's. The exact year of the murder and abolishment I cannot recall. I think Lincoln was murdered in the 1860's right after the end of the Civil War. It was mainly due to disappointment about the abolishment that Lincoln was murdered.

      Be well

      Peace Man of Faith,

I was (trying to be) sarcastic by saying it has been long enough (2 decades as you mentioned) since slavery was abolished and still the condition of african americans in the USA is still very hard. Thus, legalizing gay marriage won't by magic end discrimination against gay people.

I think it might continue, with people looking down at the people in hell and saying "they were homosexuals"

449 "Have you not seen those who claim themselves to be pure? Rather, Allah purifies whom He wills, and injustice is not done to them, as much as a thread ."

Ok. Sorry, Hannibal. I did figure that maybe you were not serious, but I brought my answer anyway.

The situation for gays is better than it once was, but obviously there is still a lot to be desired in ways of amnesty for those individuals. It is often religious nutjobs who drive this hatred towards these people and families with low education and traditional values.

It is hard for me to express myself lacking deep insight into the brainworks of a homosexual, but many if not most are born with this attraction innately and cannot be helped. Yet if it was a sin it is up to the person to deal with the question him or herself without being mistreated. It seems like that you were going to say to a heterosexual man or woman that you are no longer allowed to have your current gender identity but need to play another.

Regarding being flirted with by other men is a bit uncomfortable though, but probably because it feels wrong. I know cases where the gay has flirted with the wrong guy and gotten beaten up. I would not though. I am not homophobic, but I suppose you can understand me.

          Be well

No harm taken brother Man of Faith.

As to my fellow human beings brothers and sisters, I respect them no matter the attributes they did not choose (gender, sexual identity, sexual orientation, skin color..) and the ones they do choose (political views, religion, philosophical opinions..) group

In the end, God is the only Judge and one must not have the pretence of knowing what is reserved for everyone of us.

On a side note, do you often get hit on ? D

            May God guide us all

What do you think that might happen to non gay people who happily support homosexuality and/or who call other people as 'homophobes'?

Do you have any thought about what might happen to them in the hereafter perhaps?

Those who oppose Allah by "discreet" could be more disgusting than those who oppose Allah aggressively - (my personal opinion currently).

I think there are such people - who seem to have ability to make "something right appears wrong", and make "something wrong appears right" in elegant manner.

                  Peace JavaLatte,

I think this is what will happen "in the end" => (in other words to settle this issue)

2778 Surely your Lord will judge between them by His judgment, and He is the Mighty, the Knowing.

Precisely, this was the ayat that we always use when discussing the quran, so we can always agree to disagree amongst ourselves.

                  Thanks,

                    Peace all,

                    Thank you for the discussions.

Man of Faith brought up an interesting point about "many if not most are born with this attraction innately."
This could probably be explained by studies that homosexuality may start in the womb

                      Salaam,

No human is born with sexual orientation, but born with the genetic programming to manufacture and release certain hormones in time that fuel sexuality. As for the orientation, that develops with the individual's psychological development around puberty.

People get turned on by animals too. It's not normal. All you rainbow fans should recognize that these people don't need the encouragement to follow their unnatural lust (fed as equal rights to them) but help.

                        Peace,

A study of nature actually forced me to rethink what is normal. That's why I shifted position.

                        Thanks,

                          Speaking of purity

                          2754-56
AND Lot, when he said unto his people ?Would you commit this abomination with your eyes open
What! do you indeed approach men lustfully rather than women? Nay, you are a people who act ignorantly.
But his people?s only answer was this ?Expel Lot?s followers from your township! Verily, they are folk who make themselves out to be pure!?

But his people gave no other answer but this they said, "Drive out the followers of Lut from your city these are indeed men who want to be clean and pure!"

                          2757
Thereupon We saved him and his household - all but his wife, whom We willed to be among those that stayed behind -

Haha, pretty cool you ended up implying something similar! Amazing!

? Rainbow is not gay ?

                            I like rainbow,

but it doesn't mean that I support something which is prohibited by my Lord.

I prefer to view the word "rainbow" as its true meaning rather than as symbol for certain group.

To be precise, I am not among those who encourage homosexuality nor I want to support it.

It's pretty clear from the context which group of people I am referring to. In no way do I refer to those who like the rainbow or its colors.

                                    Hi,

It is the choice of those who are homosexual. I know there are homosexual people who have tried to be heterosexual, but they never managed to and become depressed instead feeling misplaced and they were simply not turned on by the opposite sex.

You have to delve into their minds to know what goes on in there, but I think it is difficult to "convert" a homosexual into being heterosexual. It is probably not a deliberate choice.

Personally if I was one I would become a celibate though, but that is my preference. A homosexual relationship is little more than pleasure since you cannot naturally procreate children except through a surrogate mother or sperms from another man if you are female couple. Friendships in other settings do not need to be that intimately physical.

It appears that homosexuality occurs in the flesh of other animals as well and it is not that rare.

                                    Be well

Yeah. Friendship does not need to be that intimate physically, I agree haha.

I think its totally fine to think a man or a woman has a beautiful figure, face, physique, whatever, but to want to go into their anus because of it seems like a bit of a leap.

Hey, looking good today, let me stick my genitals in your pooper? What the heck?

Even if you love someone, why is invading their anus the next step? People seem senseless to me.

I don't know, it seems really weird, even mouth stuff is a bit extreme because if anyone has drooled on a pillow I think it tends to stink even if left there and mouths are full of bacteria.

Humans seem to just not know what they are doing.

My mother who is a doctor often finds e-colli or however it is spelled on the tongues of people from their activities. e-colli is found mainly in poop.

Disgusting garbage. I was just watching music videos in this one Chinese restaurant (American Music Videos) and they were SO insane, SO crazy, I couldn't believe it! I had never seen anything SO disgusting or corrupt.

They were showing women shaking their crotches now, it had gone so extreme and ridiculous, and everyone was naked or practically naked, and it was not attractive at all, they often showed blood or implications of blood and things all over themselves, it was so Satanic and weird.

One of the Music Videos showed a colorful girl flirting and kissing people then murdering them brutally and bathing in their blood, like WHAT. THE. HECK.

Another one showed a girl offended with her boyfriend and breaking up and joining the marines to go mass murder villagers to get her frustration out from her boyfriend lol

                                        Be well

Hi Man of Faith, I am so glad you hold this opinion. Its similar to how I perceive homosexuality as well. Although the part about being celibate I am not sure about if I was homosexual myself. Because as you have mentioned, it's simply a gender identity that feels just as real and authentic as that of heterosexual people.

And although sex is one portion of being in a relationship with someone, its not the whole package, as we all know when we desire a partner in our lives. Experiencing love and having a family as a security to a person are other sides, as nobody really wants to die alone without having experienced romantic love in particular. Lets be honest, one of our top three desires to experience in this life is of romantic love, no matter how rational some of us try to be about it, or to avoid it because it is like a drug, or for pleasure only, etc. And with modern technology, such a couple dont need to have a child the "normal" way either, but can use sperm banks, IVF, surrogate parent, etc. The big thing in a child's life is that he or she has two stable, secure and loving parents.

Check this short video out, on how a half brown half white girl got supported by her traditional Pakistani father when she finally confessed to him about her homosexuality, which she had been purposefully burying before. Her father gave her the choice of either going along with traditional beliefs and losing out on a wonderful loving relationship, or looking beyond and choosing love with a person instead. She is so glad she did look beyond and choose a wonderful, loving and supportive woman in her life to marry, because thinking about all the love she has in her life now literally brings her to tears, from how she expressed in this video

                                        https//www.youtube.com/watch?v=wdMl5k2S1K0

Once again I understand as straights we can have trouble with understanding homosexuality, because I am straight too. But then since it is fixed already that 2-5% or 5-10% people would always be homosexual in a given population, and sometimes life events can also push a person to be homosexual (where they can't or don't want to be treated, unless an underlying root psychological issue needs to be cured). I think the concept of repression, hiding, feeling shameful, etc, can have strongly detrimental effect on these people, and coming from an insecure and self-hating position may cause them to lose out on the fact that God is indeed Most Compassionate and Most Merciful, as the Quran itself says, which are attributes of love, and have in fact created them this way, perhaps to show people that we are not just limited in our gender identities and the procreation idea, but that we are souls at the end, falling in love authentically with another soul, and our natural sexuality is how we choose to experience which soul in a body to love.

Teal Swan explains it quite well here

                                        https//www.youtube.com/watch?v=deWcopDV2GI

So yeah, I personally support the USA stance on legalizing gay marriage.

                                        Peace.

                                          Samira,

Anal penetration and playing with is not clean just due to the reason you mentioned.

Love or not between a man man or woman woman is up to them, but that it always have to be physical pleasure involved is what I am rising a dialog about. You can love a person without kissing and hugging, or more, but we are so obsessed that everything has to please the physical senses. I think we would appreciate our marriages more if we were not so soaked up with primate pleasure.

I know you are not as strict as me on total abstention from the world or have not yet if ever come to this conclusion. But I have a point in not following one's physical/instinctive drive.

                                          Be well
