    Freedomstands,

Well, the Holy Spirit showed itself to me. It was what I had always dreamed of.

God is okay as address for God, based on word definition.

Allah has a different implication and Rabb is the personal address for God in Arabic Quran.

    Be well

When did the Holy Spirit thing happen and how do you know it was the Holy Spirit and not something else?

      Peace Niels Jacob,

But do I get you right if you mean there is a difference in the meaning of Allah in Arabic and God in English. So Allah and God an?t he same?

      Yes.

Please feel free to discard what I said, if it does not resonate with you.

May the infinite creator bless you.

I have white pigeons trying to get into my kitchen everytime I leave the balcony door open. Do you think I have been chasing the holy ghost out of my kitchen? &

If so, good thing I didn't use my BB gun because I considered using it.

They are beautiful. But don't let them into your kitchen they will leave a mess behind. Trust me.

More on topic I did not vote on this poll since there is no option to vote "The God".

The definite article is important and carries a lot of significance. I see no point in leaving it out.

                          Peace

Peace runninglikezebras, no need for the definite article with God in English,
God alone without the "The" suffices.

Ah, I worship all those Gods, because to me they are just words in other languages that can refer to the One of which there is no other.

God means "invoked" in the English etymology, it is related to the word Khudah.

The Semitic word Ilah refers to "power", and many of the "gods" in the Semitic languages were just concepts and natural powers. They were "invoked" but the word did not mean "invoked" the way the English word God does etymologically.

The root tends to mean "worshiped" but has other meanings in it.

A slight variation on the word ilah was used in reference to the Ultimate, before Islam, and the word can be found at the top of all lists of powers like Allalu, and other varieties which differed slightly from the ordinary or common term for any "ilah" which just meant any power and was used of various powers such as "death, sea, sky, sun, moon, righteousness, wisdom" and whatever else
