It is not about conventional islam vs few folks who belong to this site or similar. It is about the comparative analysis of many religions that are there in the world from the beginning and their standings at these times.
Whether there are millions who belong to conventional islam or few who actually understood the message of Islam, the fact remains Islam is perceived as religion of violence and is being looked upon as the religion out of touch/space/context with respect to the advancement of people social life and to the norms of global village the world has become. Why this has not happened to other religions with that pace, the distortion. People always talk about revival of true islam etc etc but the reality is far from it.
As to the doubt, well what makes me believe about Islam are not the things written down as instructions or examples but the very fact that Islam advocates oneness of God in the sense that no other religion does so clearly. I can not believe that the creator is part of the creation in any way nor I do believe that God has partners.

Peace Fusion.
Then me and you are talking about different "Islams".You talk about comparative religions.
I say there is,was, will be only one religion according to the Creator.
The only acceptable religion (True Islam) ,the religion of Noah,Abraham,Moses,Jesus and Mohammed. The same religion since Mankind walked the face of this earth.
Different races made it different religions, gave it names like Judaism,Christianity, Traditional Islam,Shinto, Hinduism... innovated and corrupted it ,and divided themselves into sects.( like in the videos you asked us to watch).
Brother, Do you see what I am trying to say?
What is being attacked/ridiculed/criticised... in your videos is not "true Isllam", but a false religion with false rules and weird traditions and ways.
Do you see why it has nothing to do with those that do not belong to it?
GOD bless you.

This has happened several times to other religions too but it was a long time ago when freedom of speech didin't even exist in the region. Christianity has destroyed Europe more than Islam ever could but the main reason why these moronic European right-wingers won't mention anything is because Christianity is a part of European traditions today. They'd have to bash their own traditions too which would go against their nationalism. It's like I said, the only reason this man hates Islam is not because he considers it to have inferior ethics and morals but rather because it is a religion that orginated outside Europe from a desert. Some Europeans like the one in the first video enjoy pretending that he is for secularism, democracy and freedom of speech and that he somehow criticises religion despite the fact that he probaly only criticises Islam. It's a way to avoid character assassination. I think the statics on how many atheists there are in Europe is lower than you think too. For example many European right-wingers enjoy pretending to be atheists while they are still bound to their Judeo-Christian traditions and while they are supporting a Jewish homeland in the Middle-East. European Atheism? Pat Condell is a great example of a fake European atheist. He is about as Atheist as Saddam is Jewish. He pretends to criticise religion but all his criticism is directed towards Islam only. Breiveik (a Nazi/right-wing Pro-Israel European Christian) killed people and blew up a building in Oslo but Condell never made a video about it. He is too ashamed of his own right-wing 'brethren' that are clearly terrorists.

You should actually ask the question to mainstream media.
A few weeks ago, a senior Greek Orthodox clergyman in Israel attended a meeting at a government office in Jerusalem's Givat Shaul quarter. When he returned to his car, an elderly man wearing a skullcap came and knocked on the window. When the clergyman let the window down, the passerby spat in his face.
The clergyman prefered not to lodge a complaint with the police and told an acquaintance that he was used to being spat at by Jews. Many Jerusalem clergy have been subjected to abuse of this kind. For the most part, they ignore it but sometimes they cannot.
On Sunday, a fracas developed when a yeshiva student spat at the cross being carried by the Armenian Archbishop during a procession near the Holy Sepulchre in the Old City. The archbishop's 17th-century cross was broken during the brawl and he slapped the yeshiva student.

As reported to Fides by the Evangelical Fellowship of India (EFI), a new episode of anti-Christian violence took place on Sunday, June 14 in Kerala A group of worshipers was attacked during a celebration in a Protestant church in the town of Attingal. As reported to Fides, over 200 militants of radical Hindu organizations entered the hall of worship shouting slogans like 'Bharat Mathaki Jai" ("Hail Mother India". The attackers started to beat up the Pastor and the faithful who fled in terror. Several were beaten and suffered injuries. The militants devastated the church, breaking the altar and liturgical furniture. The police arrived after half an hour.
In the following days, the interior minister of Kerala visited the affected community, condemning the violence and promising to bring the attackers to justice. Christians in Attingal staged a peaceful protest march in the city, calling for harmony and religious freedom. On the other hand, in a counter-public demonstration, Hindu radicals recited chanted anti-Christian slogans and threats.http//www.fides.org/en/news/38081-ASIA_INDIA_Anti_Christian_Violence_in_Kerala#.Vea09vlVikpThis is happening in two countries separated by well over 1,000 miles of Indian Ocean - Burma and Sri Lanka. It is puzzling because neither country is facing an Islamist militant threat. Muslims in both places are a generally peaceable and small minority.
In Sri Lanka, the issue of halal slaughter has been a flashpoint. Led by monks, members of the Bodu Bala Sena - the Buddhist Brigade - hold rallies, call for direct action and the boycotting of Muslim businesses, and rail against the size of Muslim families.
While no Muslims have been killed in Sri Lanka, the Burmese situation is far more serious. Here the antagonism is spearheaded by the 969 group, led by a monk, Ashin Wirathu, who was jailed in 2003 for inciting religious hatred. Released in 2012, he has referred to himself bizarrely as "the Burmese Bin Laden".
Buddhism and non-violenceBuddhist monks meditate on Java, Indonesia, in 2007
Buddhist teachings were handed down orally and not written until centuries after the Buddha's lifetime. The principle of non-violence is intrinsic to the doctrine, as stressed in the Dhammapada, a collection of sayings attributed to the Buddha.
Its first verse teaches that a person is made up of the sum of his thoughts "If a man speaks or acts with an evil thought, pain follows him, as the wheel follows the foot of the ox that draws the carriage."
The most basic principles of Buddhist morality are expressed in five precepts, which monks are obliged - and laymen encouraged - to follow. The first is to abstain from killing living creatures.
One objective of Buddhist meditation is to produce a state of "loving kindness" for all beings.
Verse five of the Dhammapada tells us that "Hatred does not cease by hatred at any time hatred ceases by love, this is an eternal rule."March saw an outbreak of mob violence directed against Muslims in the town of Meiktila, in central Burma, which left at least 40 dead.
Tellingly, the violence began in a gold shop. The movements in both countries exploit a sense of economic grievance - a religious minority is used as the scapegoat for the frustrated aspirations of the majority.http//www.bbc.com/news/magazine-22356306They are not interesting enough to serve a major agenda

"Europe is an idea a cultural landscape, an intellectual space shaped by history. Europe is the cradle of the modern constiutional democracy the treasure-house of human rights, of freedom of opinion and expression." <-- Hahahahahahahaha!!!! There is so much arrogance and stupidity in this that I'm not even going to bother correcting.

Dear All,
I still feel that am not able to convey my frustration well enough and hence the feedback is sort of shifting away from the thoughts that I shared with you all. You guys are coming up with different logic in order to sort of defend the mainstream Islam by pointing out the same existed in other religions at some point in time etc etc.
GoodLogic is talking about a true islam as the only religion from Abraham to Muhammad while in actual fact other religions are well accepted even in the Quran as legitimate and there are verses in Quran which mentions followers of those people to enter paradise.
?Verily, those who believe and those who are Jews and Christians, and Sabians, whoever believes in Allaah and the Last Day and do righteous good deeds shall have their reward with their Lord, on them shall be no fear, nor shall they grieve.?
So twisting of words by Good logic that different sects made these religious names are not correct in my view, even if it was, God accept these names as shown above.
The issue am trying to point out is the present time where the technology has reached a new height. It is not a time that a certain qabila people are supposed to know only about their respective messenger and go about spending life as with or against the messenger teachings. We have issues where refugees are crossing borders into Europe to run away from persecution and then there are so many other political and socio economical issues that are blown out of proportion and becomes global. In the context of current situation. I just pointed out my frustration that every where Islam is under the spot light and this could not be just some non muslims propaganda but there are people belonging to the Islam who are being blamed for mischief in the world and whether you call those mainstream muslims as not quranic muslims. it does not change the fact that Islam is being questioned.
And some of the questions asked become so embarassing;be it Hijab, marring girls at younger age, following sharia law as he or she sees fit anywhere, not educating girls, slavery, moral values, honor killings, you name it. The question is if all of the other religions had crossed the same path earlier and got out, why Islam has not done so by now?
I am trying to understand the reasons behind by trying to make comparative analysis. Aouni laughs at Europe being center of freedom and of developments, while he can not produce one example in the muslim world except being consumers.
I feel that I am not able to express myself well here. As I said earlier I believe the message of islam is unique; oneness of God. It is more closer to the jews than to Christians. I mean from Abraham to all the prophets. oneness of God is practiced until Jesus time when the concept of trinity was invented of course by the people who came later past Jesus, hence there is no doubt about what islam is in my mind but I feel pity when I look at the people who follow islam with such narrow mindedness and I question what went so wrong?
Cheers

Aouni laughs at Europe being center of freedom and of developments, while he can not produce one example in the muslim world except being consumers.
In the early centuries of the Islamic Caliphate, the Islamic law allowed citizens to freely express their views, including criticism of Islam and religious authorities, without fear of persecution. As such, there have been several notable Muslim critics and skeptics of Islam that arose from within the Islamic world itself. In tenth and eleventh-century Syria there lived a blind poet called Al-Ma'arri. He became well known for a poetry that was affected by a "pervasive pessimism." He labeled religions in general as "noxious weeds" and said that Islam does not have a monopoly on truth. During this time Muslims never even set foot in Europe. https//en.wikipedia.org/wiki/Criticism_of_Islam#Medieval_Islamic_world
https//en.wikipedia.org/wiki/Al-Ma'arri - Criticsed Islam during the Islamic Golden Age. Now tell me what would happen if he criticised Christianity in the so called 'center of freedom and of developments' during that time? Or how about the Persian scientist that criticised Islam too during the Islamic Golden Age? No persecuation. Freedom of speech was right there meanwhile Europe had a dark age ERA. Build this right-winger a time travel machine and send him back in time to his Europe then he can enjoy his freedom there too.
Democracy orginated from Greece while the rest of the European countries were filled with barbarians opposed to freedom of speech and democracy. If anything Greece expanded to the East and never to the West. Syria, Cyprus, Lebanon, Jordan and Turkey are even more closer to Greece than say France will ever be.

The majority refugees in Europe today were running away from a CIVIL-WAR and not a persecution. And so what if Islam gets questioned. You can't stand criticism? The irony is that the same people that are questioning Islam shares a religion that is even ten times worse but they like pretending being atheists so they can avoid character assassination. The problem is not when you criticise Islam or draw Muhammad (although you don't know how he looks like). The problem is when you practise hate speech towards Muslims and when you act that Europe is somehow a contradiction towards religion. It just shows you don't know anything about history. There are huge amount of Muslims fighting against the Islamic State right now although they aren't doing this for their religion but rather for their country.

You say
So twisting of words by Good logic that different sects made these religious names are not correct in my view, even if it was, God accept these names as shown above.
What do you mean GOD accepts these religions?
GOD says "if they believe and do good" first!!!
GOD says if the disbelievers repent and do good they will be fine. It does not mean GOD accepts the disbelievers
GOD says clearly those who divide people and break up into sects do not be part of it. DO not belong with them.
GOD knows there will be these religions, but if people belonging to these religions believe first ,i.e believe GOD not to set up partners with HIm,to unite under HIS only religion _Sumbission and total loyalty to HIM Alone- and do good, then they will be accepted by HIM.
I am saying to you "true Islam" is a state of mind" not" traditional islam" that you describe and what your videos deal with.
Is this not clear in Qoran?
GOD bless you.

Salaam everyone,
It does not matter what we label ourselves as. If you believe in the one God, believe in the hereafter and judgement and do good and abstain and stay clear from wrong and evil (what is good and what is wrong in God's book can be found in the Quran), then what you label yourself as does not matter.
It is not acceptable to God that partners be setup with God (physical materials, prophets, scholars, other people, egos, wishes, the self, accepting people's sayings about what God says or means without first hand reflection and knowledge from reading the book) or that you deny God while you know, nor that you take other being(s) as god(s) instead.
As always, this is good advice, go back to the Quran, and read it from beginning to end, giving each verse its due. Dont skim through. And dont let the lack of arabic knowledge as an excuse deter you. There are scores of translations in other languages. Use the best of them via comparison. It is time consuming, and does demand attention and concentration. But if you can do this with an open mind, clear all of the interpretations and opinions you have from other people, and then begin. You will find no disputes or crookedness in it. Nor will you find that it seems to say something but means something else, no, that will only happen if you read out of context. It makes clear what is an allegory or parable, what is ambiguous and what is absolutely direct as the core. You may find translation issues however that makes a verse not fit in the overall context and central theme of the Quran and those are issues worthwhile bringing up.
-
Would you please provide a clear definition of your "true islam" state of mind, so that it will be crystal clear for me and every one?
Is there also true Christianity and Judaism definitions? Or there was only true Islam from the beginning in which a true Christian today is also following a true islam? Please clarify because every one seems to define their own version of True Islam as an excuse to elaborate their point of view...cheers

He's no different than that European moron that said Europe should only take in Christian refugees and that Europeans are becoming a 'minority' in their own region despite the fact that he is wrong.

You guys are coming up with different logic in order to sort of defend the mainstream Islam by pointing out the same existed in other religions at some point in time etc etc.
I wasn't defending mainstream Islam. If you just notice the news samples I posted you will see that they are not from ancient time. I asked you to ponder on why when people of other religion do similar things mainstream media doesn't pay attention to it.
That guy in the video was saying "In Iraq, Egypt and Pakistan, the last christian communities are facing extinction".
I have Christian friends from Pakistan. They have a big community in Canada. None complains about any kind of extinction. They go to Pakistan whenever they like. As for Iraq, we know my America left no one safe there. Egypt is an odd case. It wasn't what we see now. This video is an example of this https//youtu.be/TX4RK8bj2W0Maybe Muslims in Europe are doing bad things, but there is no way to "learn" about this from the Oskar guy because he does not present factual evidence about it in his speech.
He says, "They are supposed to conquer and subdue our western world"
Evidence? He says, "As our political elite bend their necks before a certain religious dogma which is completely alient to our intellectual history, our values and rule of law."
Most of the Muslims of Europe are refugees from countries where "Europe" and my America are waging wars and providing arms to terrorists to continue the misery. Why doesn't he urge the Europeans to tell the political elite to stop this? That would stop the refugees from coming. He must note that Syria before the silly war was more open than Australia. He says, "Lebanon will become Islamic state in the next decades"
And who gave him this information? Does he have connection with terrorists? He says, "We just shrug our shoulders when girls are forced into marriage"
Where is the evidence of how many are being forced? And he probably should start working on cutting us Americans from the west because almost in all our 50 states we have law that gives parents the right to force their children into marriage before they turn 18. And it is happening, but not newsworthy because it would make us look hypocrite to the world. He says, "And integrated Muslims are pressured and threatened"
Just like him maybe? Doesn't his speech sound like he is pressuring/seducing the people to take law in their hands against Muslims? He says, "And we look the other way, as the women are beaten"
Oh well, he should have also added "Just as we look the other way "when our own citizens sell and buy underage girls for prostitution", "when catholic schools are sodomizing kids", "when people in the court say they saw pope along with his men sacrifice kids in Vatican's basement", "when kids of the 70's come out to say that they were sodomized by top judges, cops and royals" and the list goes on.He says, "We think we can soften the power-lusting "holy warriors" with social benefits"
lol, the line was added just to anger people more. Nowhere in the world, social benefits are given for this kind of weird reason. He says, "My dear friends in the audience, we are not fighting against people, we are fighting for people!"
Now he sounds like a terrorist! But he should review his own speech and see how he is not different from ISIS, Taliban and Al Qaida.
I don't disagree that there are problematic Muslims out there. But this guy's speech sounds overly shallow and aggressive. He isn't different from Geller who goes around defending "freedom of speech" from Muslims, but get the funny definition of her own name removed from Urban dictionary.
Now the question is, what should we do about "Mainstream Muslim" problem of Europe? We don't even see Islam like them. The best answer to the problem probably can be found in sunniforum or shiachat. Ask them the question.
-
Is this Oskar guy a Christian? He would be very hypocritical then. Lebanon is already a Christian state if not an Islamic State. Lebanon's problems is not only Islamists but even moronic Christian extremists who think they belong to an ancient ethnicity when in reality many of them are from Europe whose European ancestry were absorbed by Saladin when Crusaders couldn't afford going back. The Sabra and Shatila massacre was committed by Lebanese Christian terrorists

I watched the following clip during random youtube browse.
https//www.youtube.com/watch?v=pCW2hxux3Ro
No matter how much I like to defend Islam, or Muslims, what the man said makes sense from where he or they stand.
I am not going into the debate of how west have exploited the world nations in the past but my point of being sad is what Islam has become eventually; a religion which is being looked upon as causing trouble.By being here on this site and being able to understand many things in a much better way than the conventional islam, the question still haunts me that despite all of that, Islam as a religion should have not reached to this point. The people who spead Islam has become a joke of nations in every aspect of life; consumers. The folks who were converted to Islam have had not full understanding and broken into multiple sects and not knowing the Arabic language off Quran has made them more ignorant.
The most painful part is when the person complained about Islam breaching their mode of life and immigrants not able to mix with the culture and some how imply to force upon their belief onto the foreign land and its people.
Anyway, maybe perhaps am not able to comprehend my thoughts but I welcome any words of comfort or reconciliation as to what is happening and why Islam has failed the humanity in general and why every other nation of religion is at war with it.
The following video made me shocked and laugh literally.
https//www.youtube.com/watch?v=ksNvokBcKGw
Cheers
Why should anyone try to stop you from feeling that way? You feeling listless about Islam is an important step and meditation, if you can harness it to your benefit. Face your thoughts, bleed them from your fingers onto this screen, lets see what is on your mind!

I promise you I have all the answers. I know it is a bold claim, but my Islam is beautiful. So talk to me. You can talk to me via email [email protected] and can also ask me whatever you want here. Some of the stuff I say may sound controversial but it is based in the strongest logic, logical necessity. When one reads the Qur'an in that context, it becomes almost like a fresh reading, that finally has the correct impact. The things can be hard to acknowledge though, but the resistance to the truths generally stems from facing the dark truths of reality. The end result is not an unhappy person though, but one who sees clearly and is compassionate with the right background in understanding. Almost everything I say sounds contrary to the common truisms and comforts people give, but it is all confirmed strongly in the Qur'an and even the other world scriptures, and is far away from the typical human errors in thinking.
So please share what is going on, you'll find most people will respond to you with good intentions but rather stupid reactions to your fears and doubts, whereas fear and doubt can be considered beautiful gifts from Allah that enhance one's religion immensely and are a sign of great opening and progress.
I love when people doubt, when they begin to question, because it can be the dawning of the destruction of secret idolatry which has resided in them unquestioned. Our religion is iconoclasm, we need to face the ridiculousness and destroy and destroy and kill and kill until we reach the Foe which can not be defeated, the Ultimate, and there we surrender. That was the religion of Ibrahim too.
