okay so first off i believe engaging in homosexual acts is forbidden. So in case you are wondering i am not going to say it is okay to engage in such acts. However I am a homosexual myself and i admit, I am always attracted to the same gender ever since I was young but i do believe that this is just a test since i recalled somewhere in the quran that God said He created people with some desires and succesfull are those who supress it.
Anyways since I cant realy date a guy I just imagined one. But i dont mean it like an imahinary-friend-kind-of-way where you imagine someone sitting besides you and to talk to them like that .What i would do is basically just fantasize about going out with this guy-just like visualizing going out with this guy on my head and how he hugs me when i am sad or just cuddling with him every night. Basically all I am saying is I daydream about going out with this imaginary guy that i made. And I have have this weird fantasy of mine for like 3 months or so or perhaps longer to the extent that I become emotionally attached to the pigment of my imahination as if he was real.
I know it sounds funny and weird but that is just how I cope with it since if I cant have a guy in real life might as well imahine one and daydream about it. Anyways long story short- I am not realy sure if this is a bad thing or not, so i tried stop thinking about it. The problem is like Insaid I have become emotionaly attached to tuis daydream that I become so depressed just me stop thinking about it. It has got to a point where evrytime i listen to love songs I think about my imaginary Bf. And it depressed me because Iwant to stop thinking anout him. I even tell myself ' why would be depressed over someone who is a pigment of your imahination?" But i dont knownperhaps I am just lonely and I basically have no one to talk to I mean my relationship with my family is not that close and plus I cant talk to them about it since they are not muslims and probobly would disown me if they found out I converted let alone being gay. So yeah I also think this wild imahination is a product of loneliness. So what do you guys think about this besides the fact that this is crazy. You see I want to get over these toughts since I dont think it is Halal but It is so hard to let since i feel that this imaginary person is real and all the fantasies I made about me and him are like real memories as is the guy I imagined just live a house away or something...urgh I need some advice THANKS

Ha, Ha, as if people don't have imaginary friends usually its the opposite sex though!

Just in your case it is the same sex friend, well you are not harming anybody or anything surely? so keep it a secret, no need to shout about it and get trodden on and smeared.

But live a normal life as possible - get married with the opposite sex of course, i would say.

      My two pence worth!

      Hope it helps.

. Thanks but I dont think I would love to force myself on the opposite sex but I know that does not I should go out with the same gender also lol. Anyways i am not realy sure if what I am doing i okay in the eyes of God since I am daydreaming of going out with the same gender. But then again there are just thoughts so as long as I dont act just think I shoild be okay right? Anyways I am just realy scared since we all know even though how much we dont like talking about it but The day of judgemnt is coming and I am not sure if its okay to have fantasies like these since i cant realy help it I am seriously tempted just daydreaming about being with my imaginary boyfriend just hugging jim and kissing him and everything. Like seriuosly I think I use these thoughts just to comfort my self I mean just like I said I am pretty lonely so thinking about with someone kind of ease up the lonelines I feel . But the problem is just me stop thinking about it just makes me depreesed as if those daydream are legit memories and as if he just live next door. ..Urgh see how strong my imagination is urgh I need to change since it is almost the end and I feel God would not be pleased about this.

          Hi,

Think you have to accept your Body's anatomical design and when you are released from the flesh you can be whoever you like. I think that both designs can create attraction to any gender if they work on it. Just think about its primitive nature of indulgence and how animal-like it is to be mating and think of yourself.

Tell us more about your childhood.

            Were there any homosexuals* around?

When did you first engage in such an act?

            How did it all start?

My advice is, please seriously turn to your Creator (talk to Him about your problem and implore Him to help you),

I think you could ask Allah to grant you the best help for this issue, and remember, never give up praying and hoping for His help (until you could recognize His help).

Trust your own Rabb. He created you, He knows about you perfectly - more than yourself, and He knows what you should do, so why not you implore Him to help you (and don't give up in doing so).

I suggest you to take the benefit of your test the chance to improve your relationship with Allah.

              Peace.

                Greetings and Peace, all group

                @kenybanez welcome

Usually when people say that homosexual acts are forbidden, they point to the people of Lot. Regarding the people of Lot committing lewdness not done before...

Homosexuality has been found depicted in cave paintings that are dated to be around 12,000 years old.

Further, physical evidence remains of homosexuality in Mesopotamia around 5,000 years ago; note that this is over a thousand years before the people of Lot were destroyed (circa 1953 BCE).

Also, homosexual acts are found all throughout nature. It is interesting that such an "unnatural" act is in fact, quite natural and commonplace.

226 GOD does not shy away from putting forth the example of a mosquito, or anything above it. As for those who believe, they know that it is the truth from their Lord. As for the rejecters, they say "What does GOD intend with this example?" He strays many by it, and He guides many by it; but He only strays by it the wicked.

673 He created seven heavens in layers. You do not see any imperfection in the creation by the Almighty. Keep looking; do you see any flaw?

Homosexuality has been found in ALL known species that reproduce sexually--and yes, this includes mosquitos.

"... No species has been found in which homosexual behaviour has not been shown to exist, with the exception of species that never have sex at all, such as sea urchins and aphis. Moreover, a part of the animal kingdom is hermaphroditic, truly bisexual. For them, homosexuality is not an issue."

For in depth study, here is a link to a book that details many of these homosexual animals

Scientific consensus is that homosexuality is normal.

"The longstanding consensus of the behavioral and social sciences and the health and mental health professions is that homosexuality per se is a normal and positive variation of human sexual orientation" (Bell, Weinberg & Hammersmith, 1981; Bullough, 1976; Ford & Beach 1951 ; Kinsey, Pomeroy, & Martin, 1948; Kinsey, Pomeroy, Martin, & Gebhard, 1953 ).

                http//www.apa.org/about/governance/council/policy/sexual-orientation.aspx

3918 The ones who listen to what is being said, and then follow the best of it. These are the ones whom GOD has guided, and these are the ones who possess intelligence.

Homosexuality is either natural (the fact that it is prevalent in ALL sexual species supports this argument), or it is some form of disorder. If it is natural, there is no problem. If it is some form of disorder (peer reviewed citation please?), please consider 4817.

4817 There is no burden on the blind, nor is there any burden on the cripple, nor is there any burden on the sick. And whoever obeys GOD and His messenger, He will admit them into gardens with rivers flowing beneath them; and whoever turns away, He will punish him with a painful retribution.

Homosexuality is either allowed or not allowed. If it is not allowed, it is clearly and directly stated. If it is allowed (that is to say, not prohibited), it is up to individual judgment. Unless homosexuality can be shown to be clearly prohibited, individual judgment should not be substituted for the instructions of ALLAH.

Where does the Qur'an state that homosexuality is a sin? Where is anything else forbidden indirectly? AQ is fully detailed, and ALLAH is direct with instructions, including prohibitions and restrictions.

If a person feels that it is approaching lewdness, then that person, being responsible for themself, should avoid it. That's it--there is no decree against homosexuality.

422 And do not marry who your fathers had married from the women, except what has already been done. It is a lewdness, and an abhorrence, and an evil path.

423 Forbidden for you are your mothers, and your daughters, and your sisters, and the sisters of your father, and the sisters of your mother, and the daughters of your brother, and the daughters of your sister, and your foster mothers who suckled you, and your sisters from suckling, and the mothers of your women, and your step-daughters who are in your lodgings from your women with whom you have already consummated the marriage; if you have not consummated the marriage then there is no sin upon you; and those who were in wedlock with your sons who are from your seed, and that you join between two sisters except what has already been done. GOD is Forgiving, Merciful.

424 And the independent from the women, except those maintained by your oaths; the book of GOD over you; and permitted for you is what is beyond this, if you are seeking with your money to be independent, not for illicit sex. As for those whom you have already had joy with, then you shall give them their dowries as an obligation. There is no sin upon you for what you agree on after the obligation. GOD is Knowledgeable, Wise.

425 And whoever of you cannot afford to marry the independent female believers, then from those maintained by your oaths of the believing young women. And GOD is more aware of your faith, some of you to each other. You shall marry them with the permission of their parents and give them their dowries in kindness; to be independent, not for illicit sex or taking lovers. When they become independent, then any of them who come with lewdness shall have half of what is the punishment for those independent. This is for those who are concerned about deviating from among you. But if you are patient it is better for you, and GOD is Forgiver, Merciful.

                I'll (re)post an argument below

Acknowledge that AQ is not ridiculous.

Acknowledge that physical evidence is not ridiculous.

Refute that ALLAH created people differently, as is stated in AQ 3022.

Refute that ALLAH gave us signs in nature, as is stated in AQ 226 and 2164.

Refute that ALLAH created homosexual animals, as are found in nature.

Refute that AQ 2929 lists reasons aside from male homosexuality that the people of Lot might have been destroyed.

Refute that the women among the people of Lot were innocent of male-male sex.

Refute that women and children among the people of Lot were destroyed alongside the men among the people of Lot.

Refute that there is no compulsion in the Deen, as is stated in AQ 2256.

Refute that homosexuality is depicted in cave paintings that physically exist that have been dated to be around 12,000 years old.

Refute that homosexuality existed at least 5,000 years ago among humans in Mesopotamia, as is found among physical existing evidence.

Refute that the people of Lot were destroyed around 1953 BCE.

Refute that circa 3000 BCE is before 1953 BCE.

Refute that over a thousand years span the time between the recorded homosexual acts in Mesopotamia and the time that the people of Lot were destroyed.

Refute that AQ 780 refers to lewdness "such as none of the worlds had done before."

Acknowledge that no person alive was present among the people of Lot.

Refute that AQ 1736 states not to uphold what one has no knowledge of.

Acknowledge that physical evidence can comprise knowledge.

Acknowledge that knowledge is better than conjecture.

Refute that AQ 1059 and 16116 state that it is wrong to forbid what ALLAH has not forbidden, that doing so is a lie, and that those who invent lies about ALLAH will not succeed.

In any case, I'm pretty sure that all can agree that promiscuity and acting on unbridled lust fall within the understanding of what is prohibited--homosexuality/bisexuality is not a "blank check" to indulge in what is prohibited.

However, dislike of homosexuality/homosexual acts is not a blank check to be ugly to other people, either.

It could be that homosexual acts are a minor offence--but I can't make this claim. Even so

2362 And We do not burden a soul except with what it can bear. And We have a record that speaks with the truth, they will not be wronged.

5332 They avoid major sins and lewdness, except for minor offences. Your Lord is with vast forgiveness. He has been fully aware of you since He initiated you from the earth, and while you were embryos in the wombs of your mothers. Therefore, do not ascribe purity to yourselves; He is fully aware of the righteous.

I hope this information is helpful to others.

                ALLAH knows best.

                peace

                  Peace Abdul-Hadi,

                  Excellent analysis bravo

By this I am applauding your analytical skills and not condoning homosexuality but accepting that homosexuality is not clearly/directly haram/forbidden per al-quran, thereby falling under 5332 and 4817.

Following is what Ra says about homosexuality in "The Law Of One", which is in line with your conclusion. Ra admits that homosexuality is a sexual "impairment" and "confusion" (thus falling under 4817) but does not look down upon it in the spiritual sense as something that is unnatural or forbidden. It gives the actual reason behind why some people become homosexual

                  http//www.lawofone.info/results.php?s=31

31.8 Questioner We have what seems to be an increasing number of entities incarnate here now who have what is called a homosexual orientation in this respect. Could you explain and expand upon that concept?

Ra I am Ra. Entities of this condition experience a great deal of distortion due to the fact that they have experienced many incarnations as biological male and as biological female. This would not suggest what you call homosexuality in an active phase were it not for the difficult vibratory condition of your planetary sphere. There is what you may call great aura infringement among your crowded urban areas in your more populous countries, as you call portions of your planetary surface. Under these conditions the confusions will occur.

31.10 Questioner Roughly how many previous incarnations, shall we say, would a male entity in this incarnation have had to have had in the past as a female to have a highly homosexual orientation in this incarnation? Just roughly.

Ra I am Ra. If an entity has had roughly 65% of its incarnations in the sexual/biological body complex, the opposite polarity to its present body complex, this entity is vulnerable to the aura infringement of your urban areas and may perhaps become of what you call an homosexual nature.

It is to be noted at this juncture that although it is much more difficult, it is possible in this type of association for an entity to be of great service to another in fidelity and sincere green-ray love of a nonsexual nature thus adjusting or lessening the distortions of its sexual impairment.

31.11 Questioner Timothy Leary, doing research, wrote that at the time of puberty, and up through that time, there is an imprint occurring on the DNA coding of an entity and that, for instance, sexual biases are imprinted due to early sexual experiences or some of the first sexual experiences of the entity. Does anything like this actually happen?

Ra I am Ra. This is partially correct. Due to the nature of solitary sexual experiences, it is in most cases unlikely that what you call masturbation has an imprinting effect upon later experiences.

This is similarly true with some of the encounters which might be seen as homosexual among those of this age group. These are often, instead, innocent exercises in curiosity.

I would highly encourage every open minded reader to study "The Law Of One". It is amazing and mind blowing!

                  http//www.llresearch.org/library/the_law_of_one_pdf/the_law_of_one_pdf.aspx

                    Hi,

It is right that it is not a sin, but I have heard that it is a partial failure to indulge in it due to it being connected to the primate Body and the one who can control the Body by the Spirit can avoid what has no purpose except being a physical pleasure. Nevertheless the choice is up to those who are involved in it and it is not a crime or an abomination as per se. The actual failure is because you do something that the Body signals for you to do that can be avoided and is just an instinctive drive (Satan). But then again masturbation can also be perceived as failure because it has no purpose except pleasing the Body.

Friendship is another thing and in certain cultures the same sex both hug and kiss each other in a way of affection and it is acceptable to be really close.

                    Be well
                    Emanuel

P1. G-D does NOT approve of fahisheh

                      P2. A male approaching another male (sexually) is a 'fahisheh' (2754-55, 780-81)

Ergo. G-D does NOT approve of homosexuality.

P1. G-D does NOT approve of fahisheh

                          P2. A male approaching another male (sexually) is a 'fahisheh' (2754-55, 780-81)

Ergo. G-D does NOT approve of homosexuality.

This is correct, plain and simple.

If homosexuality is not wrong, then neither is pedophilia or zoophilia or pornographic fixation. Sexuality as a biological function is only limited to a hormonal response to your psychology. It's not exactly black and white, but without any psychological process, you wouldnt have said response.

That said you can tame this response to pretty much anything. If you keep fantisizing about another male then you are only reinforcing your fixation. Switch to Fantisizing about a female instead and eventually you'll rewire. It's kind of hard to explain but this is something like music. You may not like a particular type or genre of music, but listen to it long enough and it will become acceptable and progress to preferance. The music example isnt the best one, but I hope it helps in getting the point across.

                          Hopefully this helps,
                          Salaam.

780 And Lot, he said to his people "Do you commit immorality such as none of those of the worlds had done before?"

781 "You are approaching the men out of desire instead of the women! Indeed, you are a transgressing people."

2754 And Lot, when he said to his people "Why do you commit immorality when you can clearly see?"

2755 "You are approaching the men out of desire instead of the women! Indeed, you are an ignorant people."

Homosexuality is the attraction, whether acted upon or not, towards the same sex. Homosexual acts are different from homosexuality.

If the immorality in 780 was homosexuality/homosexual acts, such things would not have existed before within a civilization. But they DID exist within civilization, more than 1,000 years before the people of Lot. In less organized society, they existed for over 10,000 years before the people of Lot. The people of Lot weren't destroyed for homosexuality or homosexual acts.

Approaching people out of desire (lust) is immorality. The fact that men were approaching men out of lust was a detail compared to the immorality of lust.

Even so, what ~else~ did the people of Lot do?

2928 And Lot, when he said to his people "You commit an immorality that no others in the world have done before!"
2929 "You approach the males, and you sever the way, and you bring all vice into your place." But the only response from his people was to say "Bring us the retribution of GOD, if you are being truthful!"

There is also the issue of women and children among the people of Lot being destroyed alongside the men. Were they likewise destroyed for homosexual activity?

6164 Say "Shall I seek other than GOD as a Lord when He is the Lord of everything?" And every soul earns what is for it, and none will carry the burden of another. Then to your Lord is your return and He will inform you of what you disputed in.

May ALLAH see fit to guide all seekers.

                            peace

My advice is, please seriously turn to your Creator (talk to Him about your problem and implore Him to help you),

I think you could ask Allah to grant you the best help for this issue, and remember, never give up praying and hoping for His help (until you could recognize His help).

Trust your own Rabb. He created you, He knows about you perfectly - more than yourself, and He knows what you should do, so why not you implore Him to help you (and don't give up in doing so).

I suggest you to take the benefit of your test the chance to improve your relationship with Allah.

                                Peace.

                                Peace,

                                The best advice. bravo

                                    Hello again,

Homosexuality is not "right" because it is part of failure but there are so many other stumbling blocks in the Word that this is just one in a sea of them.

It is not a sin but a redundant activity triggering the Body's instinctive drive unnecessarily for which serves no purpose since the man-man woman-woman Bodies are incompatible. We are what we decide to make of ourselves.

Physical sex may be kept in check because it is a strong primate instinct and what makes one enjoy being the beast they are attached to, and that is a huge trap. It is horrible to be a slave to the Body. Beastly desire can be hard to control, especially if you deprive it of so much already yet the Body feels very good by the deprivation in its ignorance. You should try to feel the peace of being rid of addiction (desire) and needs.

Homosexuality is that unproductive intimacy while at least heterosexual sex leads to the reproduction of more test subjects to God's experiment and which you can raise well according to your personal ascension level in a World that has much evil. The status of your and your mate's Spirit does affect the offspring.

I am sorry I speak with such objectivity, but it is easier to see things clearly that way and how beastly everything actually is and how detached a person ought to be.

It might seem troublesome to find a partner with such perception, but the Holy Spirit always guides the Children of Israel, and intelligence is also a great turn on for the right people.

For homosexuals I am sure you can play a theater for the sake of passing also this part of the test and you can always look for a woman who feels stuck in her Body while she wished to be a man and the other way around. That way you can find consolation and mutual understanding of your case.

Openness of who you are is always important. People are usually isolating their inside and many are the shell-like people walking around.

                                    Be sure
                                    Emanuel

Islam is just a religion and JUST like any religion, anybody can convert to it regardless of their sexuality, ethnicity and skin color. To say that this religion does NOT support a particular sexuality just shows that there IS no coexistence in the religion and only makes it look more terrible. Regardless of what you believe, it still doesn't change the fact that THERE are homosexuals who are Muslims and they have the every right to become Muslims just like heterosexuals. In Sweden a gay Imam wanted to start his own mosque and he had the every right to do so. In Istanbul there are gay pride parades, mostly by Turkish Muslims celebrating LGBT-rights. Deal with it. I believe that Allah would NOT forbid homosexuality as it has existed longer than religion. God would obviously know that there would be people with different sexualities. Religion in modern times is suppose to be about coexistence and not the opposite.

                                        Greetings and Peace, all group

My comments are in red for easy reading.

Abdul-Hadi, whether you do not fear Allah?

My relationship with the Almighty is not in question, nor is it your place to ask of it.

Do you want to play verses of the Qur'an to defend homosexual act while it is clear that Allah does not approve it?

I pay careful attention to the Qur'an and don't knowingly take things out of context. Please explain how you have taken the leap from "I disapprove of homosexual acts" to "...it is clear that Allah does not approve it."

Even thread starter (kenybanez) does not deny that it is forbidden.

I use my own best reasoning. He could be either correct or incorrect or some mix of the above, but that is between him and ALLAH.

Kenybanez, I suggest you to be careful with the people who're trying to mask the truth.

I agree. Beware of people with base motives, preconceived notions, and especially of any who would attribute lies to ALLAH.

May Allah protect you from evil, and please learn the truth from Allah, I believe that Allah is the Best Teacher.

                                        Proof??

Do you even have reliable source to know the correct time/age when the people of Lot existed and where they actually located?

Read Genesis 18 & 19. Using basic math, the date of the destruction of the People of Lot can be derived. It was around 1953 BCE.

Mind you that I don't accept information from wikipedia or historical books as reliable proofs.

Since the brainwashers can even spread the silly lie that the earth is a globle, then it's very possible that those evil people could also falsify many other information.

Take notice of the punishment for the people of Noah, I think most likely there were children of the unbelievers who drowned as well, and I think verse 7127 could give a hint.

So, the women and children among the people of Lot were destroyed because they were homosexual, or because they were unbelievers?

About the adult women who were destroyed, I think that is because they were among those who did not care to correct the wrongdoings committed by their people, maybe the wife of Lot could be the example.

Maybe...maybe not. Conjecture. Better to stick to what is known, right? )

4133 And who is better in saying than he who invites to GOD, and does good works, and says "I am one of those who have submitted."

I find no evidence that homosexual acts are disallowed. Live according to your best understanding, and let others live according to their best understanding--or attempt to bar others from the deen, compel others to live according to your understanding, and generally be unjust. Which sounds like the proper behavior?

                                        ALLAH knows best.

                                        peace

My relationship with the Almighty is not in question, nor is it your place to ask of it.

As far as I know there is no rule from my Rabb that I cannot ask such question to you.

The only One Who can bind me by rules is my Rabb, and I think it is not your place to make a rule for me, except He gives you right for it.

If you don't want to answer it, then I think it is your choice.

Please explain how you have taken the leap from "I disapprove of homosexual acts" to "...it is clear that Allah does not approve it."

Do you have a proof where and when I ever made such statement?

I consider your statement above is an accusation toward me.

"...it is clear that Allah does not approve it."

If you deny it, then I have no more to explain about it to you (why should I bother to explain it to someone who deny it?).

I think it is of no use to explain clear and simple lesson to those who deny. I've learned about it.

Read Genesis 18 & 19. Using basic math, the date of the destruction of the People of Lot can be derived. It was around 1953 BCE.

I am not the Bible follower. My Rabb taught me to not follow that book.

There are satanic traps in the Bible, and I'm aware of that.

Follow both the Bible and the Qur'an would violate 242.

I am not even sure whether you sincerely follow the Bible.

I think there are people who "follow" the Bible only when it could benefit them, but they don't adhere to it as a whole sincerely and honestly.

In my view, it is clear hypocrisy when people "follow/believe in" the Bible but they deny that the earth is flat.
