    Salaam,

I went to an academy in London. It was comparable to a zoo. Pupils were out of control, shortage of teachers, fights everywhere, food being thrown around, toilets with graffiti, urine and faeces on the floor. The "supply teachers" they use are not even qualified to teach.

Yes, that is correct. In order to work in an Academy, you do not need to be a qualified anything. All hail Michael Gove and the Tory Government.

I was speaking to a man last year who was of Pakistani background and had chanced his luck in Italy at the age of 17 and had a fruitful employment history. He had then moved to England just shortly before I met him, when his son was due to take his GCSE exams, "because of his children's education". I wanted to slap him when he told me this. His son was in Year 11, knew no English and was expected to take his Level 2 exams over the next few months. This man was struggling to find work and the reality is he was in a part of the U.K. where unemployment levels are some of the highest in the entire U.K., and several of the largest companies in the area had gotten rid of thousands of employees in the previous months. Yet this man was deluded, harking to days of Empire, which most people who have never visited England, still romanticise about, thinking that his children were about to be beneficiaries of the best education system in the world.

I can't imagine ever having children and sending them to school here to be fed mindless drivel and to mix with other children who are ungrateful little swines.

May I ask, which Academy you attended?

As an Englishwoman, I do not find the U.K. to be an interesting place.

Our history is basically colonialism, pillaging, converting the heathens, the theft of natural resources, etc., etc., etc. There's nothing "interesting" about that.

Diversity? We have serious issues with "diversity". This evening, I had to intervene when a bunch of young ruffians threw a ball at a Muslim woman's face outside a supermarket. They then proceeded in sticking their fingers up at her and swearing at her. Diversity is nothing without acceptance and respect.

Opportunities? What opportunities? England has such poor employment statistics and the education system is a mess. The socio-economic reality is so grim, I despair.

You, like a lot of people, seem to have an idealised view of Europe, and particularly England, which simply betrays the reality.
you are right ,,, people need to see the both sides of a picture then they can differentiate between the life and otherthings.... as far I concerned wherever you are the test of lord will approach you ,, in the shape of kids, wealth, fear of hunger , and fear of enemy, and fear of everything what comes in you... whether you are wrong doers or gooddoers,,, but most of the people still didn't understand the test ,,, and they forget to seek help through patience and remembrance of Allah,,,, if they undertstand their test will be easy on them,,, and reward of hereafter is definite and sure

I know. I have studied/read the history of the UK. What you say is true. Britain undoubtedly has a dark past. But Britain has also contributed a lot to the world. See the article below.

I think you make a valid point. But if you compare the diversity in the UK to Russia, Ukraina, Poland, and a few other European countries, then the UK looks like Paradise.

Opportunities? What opportunities? England has such poor employment statistics and the education system is a mess. The socio-economic reality is so grim, I despair.

Well, for example the UK has good opportunities for doing business. See the article below.

            http//www.theguardian.com/business/2015/oct/27/britain-named-sixth-best-country-for-doing-business

I think reality is harsh/grim in all countries. But if a man/woman thinks life is hard in the UK, then he/she should live in Pakistan, Phillipines or Thailand for 1 year. And then he/she will get a true taste of what a harsh/grim reality is.

You, like a lot of people, seem to have an idealised view of Europe, and particularly England, which simply betrays the reality.

You, like a lot of people, seem to assume things about others which are not based on facts/truth/reality. I recommend reading the post below.

I am English. I have lived in England my entire life and have travelled extensively across it. I don't need articles on the internet to tell me what my country is like. I will leave that to people like you who have never travelled to Europe yet make assumptions about how wonderful it is. We are not without our problems.

I made no assumption about your fascination with my part of the world. You expressed that quite clearly in your last post by gushing about Europe.

I'm sorry Taro Hiroshi, but you're wrong in stating that es's 'assumptions' are incorrect, her general claims are true and completely reasonable to say. Due to endless streams of propaganda most people in non-Western countries believe that the West is the land and milk and honey and when they get here they get a big shock.

The only real thing that keeps anyone here is the stability and economic benefits that gives, most expatriate communities living in the UK, when making lots of money (such as Poles, Indians, Pakistanis, Africans and Arabs) will spend considerable resources going back to their homeland, and even maintaining residence in their homeland (if it hasn't been bombed to smithereens).

I am someone who has lived in 5 major UK cities as well as 2 other non-Western countries and who has also travelled extensively and I would have to back up what es and imrankhawaja say.

Well, I said that I think the history of UK is interesting. And you suggested that there is nothing interesting about the history of UK (in one of your post). And since I disagreed with your view, I decided to share an article about Britain. I am completely aware of the fact that Britain has a dark past/history. And I haven't denied this fact at all. But I don't think that Britain's history is completely dark. Because Britain has contributed a lot to the world. And that's why I think Britain's history is interesting. I think it is prudent to show both sides of Britain's history (both the positive and the negative). Because Britain's history is not completely dark/negative. Striving to be objective, is a must IMO.

I will leave that to people like you who have never travelled to Europe yet make assumptions about how wonderful it is. We are not without our problems.

How do you know for sure that I have never traveled to Europe? Are you all-knowing? Do you have any evidence that supports your claim? For all you know, I might have traveled to Europe in the past. And for all you know, I might have lived in a European country for several years. So once again, you are making an assumption about me. And once again, your assumption is not based on facts/truth/reality.

Also, I acknowledge the fact that Europe is not without problems. In my view, no country is perfect. And no country is without problems. I think there are both positive and negative things in all countries. This is a fact that I have never denied and never will deny.

I made no assumption about your fascination with my part of the world. You expressed that quite clearly in your last post by gushing about Europe.

The fact is that you made an assumption. Because in your post you wrote that it seems that I have an idealized view on Europe. And since your assumption contradicts the information in one of my earlier posts, your assumption was not based on facts/truth/reality.

I think those who live in the UK should be grateful for the opportunities they have in their country. There are many people who are willing to risk their lives in order to come/move to Europe (and especially to a country like the UK). Just look at all the refugees (Afghans, Iraqis, Syrians, Iranians, Albanians, Nigerians, Somalians) that are coming to Europe these days. Do you think they are coming to Europe because the socio-economic reality is harsher in Europe than in their own countries? Do you think they are coming to Europe by chance/coincidence? Or do you think they are coming to Europe because they know that there are better opportunities in Europe than in their own countries? You should ponder upon these questions.

The truth is that most people who come/move to Europe don't move back to their homelands. Only a minority of those who come/move to Europe, move back to their homelands. Why does only a minority of those who come/move to Europe, move back to their homelands? You should ask yourself this question and ponder upon it.

I think it is easy to complain about the negative/bad things in the country one is residing in (especially if one has lived in a European country ones entire life). If a person has lived in a European country all of his/her life, then he/she might take the opportunities she has in Europe for granted. But if he/she had lived in Pakistan, Haiti, Philippines or Thailand for one 1 year, then he/she would understand that the reality in Europe (especially the UK) is not that harsh compared to the above-mentioned countries. And he/she would understand that Europe has a lot of opportunities compared to those countries. And then he/she would become grateful for being able to live in Europe. And he/she would no longer take the opportunities he/she has in Europe for granted. It seems that a lot of people complain about the bad/negative things in Europe. But for some reason, few people seem to be willing to move back to their homelands. You should ask yourself why this is so.

Personally, I consider myself to be a positive/optimistic person. And I prefer to focus on the good/positive things in the country I am residing in. I dislike to focus on the negative/bad things in the country I am residing in. Because it seems that by focusing on problems one can never solve them. It seems that in order to solve problems, one must focus on solutions. Hence it seems that it is a good/intelligent decision to become a solution-oriented man/woman. The truth is that it is easy to complain about the socio-economic reality in the country one is residing in. As a saying goes, "Talk is cheap." You see, anyone can complain about something. And anyone can condemn something. It takes almost no effort to complain. It takes almost no effort to condemn. So it is easy to complain about the negative/bad things in the country one is residing in. And it is easy to make excuses and adopt a victim-mentality. But it is hard to take responsibility. And it is hard to strive to change things for the better. And it takes a brave heart and true struggle to make a difference in the country one is residing in. There is a quote by John F. Kennedy which goes like this

"Ask not what your country can do for you, ask what you can do for your country."

                    Peace out.

That's not true. Because I don't have your email. And I have never sent you e-mails. God is my witness.

Quran 242 And do not confound the truth with falsehood, nor keep the truth secret while you know.

                              Peace.

                              Taro,

You know exactly what I mean. You started sending me unsolicited private messages on here. Even though I feel my disinterest was apparent to the point of me not responding to you, you have still persisted in sending me messages consecutively. I do not read your messages and I do not know why you send them to me when I have never conversed with you- to my knowledge. Furthermore, I am not interested in your opinions or views on my home country nor do I have the time or the inclination to engage in debate with you in regards to this matter.

                              Sajda.

The fact is that I have sent you a total of 6 PMs in this forum. The first PM I sent you was september 28. And the last PM I sent you was October 14 (17 days ago). So I haven't sent you any messages since October 14 (in more than 16 days). And I hadn't planned/considered/intended to send you any PMs (in the future) after my last PM, which I sent you October 14. God is my witness.

                                    1. In the first PM I sent you (which you got september 2, I shared an article about the difference between deen and religion. When I sent you my first PM, you sent me a PM and asked me if there is a particular reason why I am sharing it (the article) with you.

                                    2. In the second PM I sent you (which you got september 2, I answered your PM by telling you that I thought you might find it interesting and that I have shared it (the article) with others as well. Then you sent me a new my PM where you asked me the following question

                                    What's it about?

                                    1. In the third PM I sent you (which you got september 2, I answered your question by telling you the following

It's about islam (from a Quranic perspective). And it is written by a muslim scholar from Pakistan. His name is Ghulam Ahmad Parwez.

It is a short and informative article.

I hope you will like it.

                                    1. In the fourth PM I sent you, (which you got October 14), I asked you if you can edit my nice name in one of your posts in a thread in this forum. Because in one of your posts you had called me Taro Hiroshima, instead of Taro. Then you replied to my PM by saying the following

                                    Dear Taro,

                                    Thank you for your e-mail.

I apologise. I did not notice this. I tend to use my phone and it must have autocorrected without my attention. Please accept my sincerest apologies for this.

Yes, I will amend the post accordingly.

                                    Thank you.

                                    Peace

                                    Sajda.

                                    1. In the fifth PM I sent you, (which you got October 14), I told you the following

                                    Dear Sajda,

                                    Thank you for your PM.

                                    I see. No problem

                                    Peace

                                    Taro.

                                    1. In the fifth PM I sent you, (which you got October 14), I wanted to thanked you for editing your post by removing the name 'Hiroshima' and replacing it with Hiroshi. Here is what I wrote to you

                                    Peace Sajda,

                                    Thank you sister.

                                    Once again, thank you.

                                    Taro.

I have only sent you a total of 6 PMs in this forum. And I have never said anything bad/insulting/immoral to you in my PMs. God is my witness.

However, if you think that I have said anything bad/insulting/immoral to you in my 6 PMs, then I recommend providing your evidence here (so that everyone can see it), if you are truthful.

                                          es,

It seems that you are angry with me. I didn't mean to upset you. I hope I have not hurt your feelings. I don't want you or me to be hostile towards each other. I have nothing against you es. I consider the members in this forum my brothers and sisters. And when it comes to you, I consider you a sister. I don't know you. But I have read some of your posts in FM. And you seem like a cool and intelligent person.

I want all of the members in FM to be united, not divided. But it seems that the devil often tries to separate/divide us in this forum.

Quran 1753 Say to my servants to speak what is best. The devil plants animosity between them. The devil was to the people a clear enemy.

Quran 4213 He has decreed for you the same system He ordained for Noah, and what We inspired to you, and what We ordained for Abraham, Moses, and Jesus "You shall uphold this system, and do not divide in it." Intolerable for the polytheists is what you invite them towards. God chooses for Himself whoever He wills; He guides to Himself those who repent.

I hope you are not angry with me. But even if you are angry with me, I will not be angry with you. Because I consider you a sister. Personally, I try to not allow anger to enter my heart. I try to only allow peace, compassion and kindness to enter my heart.

Perhaps I shouldn't have discussed/debated with you in this thread.

                                          Peace.
