Peace all,
I've recently re-registered to the Free-Minds forum after being away for about 10 years, I used to be a member back in 2004/2005 and it seems so long ago I can't even remember what my username was!
Back in 2005 I remember the Free-Minds forum to be a busier place packed FULL with all kinds of arguments which made for very interestng reading! I remember there were still strong debates going on between the 19 enthusiasts and also people of a more traditional background, there were one or two Atheists/Anti-Muslims who are always there to annoy posters and generally stir up more debate and also those putting forward the idea that certain words have drastically different meaning to what is understood traditionally which only served to stir up more of a furore! All of this contributed to making Free-Minds a very vibrant place. What became of it all?
I've only been back a day and things seem a lot more quiet but obviously I'm not yet in a position to determine how busy things are now. So, I suppose the point of this post is, could someone update me on what's been happing over the last 10 years?
-
Peace Osman.
The "good old days" eh?
Well, I find that sometimes you can only debate until the subject is "done to death" as they say!
Time and folk change. The way to debate changes also. Life changes as we are "debating".
I simply call it "another generation" of people in an ongoing "evolution" of finding out about life,religion,topics....
Also, as the forum is getting "fuller", there are less "old questions" to ask,and more "new questions" to discuss.
People learn as the forum progresses through the various opinions and discussions. Perhaps ,the way to debate has also changed.
Still very useful ,brother.
Welcome back.
GOD bless you.
Peace. -

My impression the same debates rehashed and rekindled cyclically and repetitively, always bringing up the same arguments and topics in a continuously devolving level of argumentation as new members join and raise the same issues.
I prefer to patrol the older threads from 2003-2004 since they seem to be far more informative.

Peace all,
The "good old days" eh?
Haha plenty of good and bad as is life! ) I think good can be applied in the sense that there were a lot more people frequenting the forums, however as I recall there were many people who had come to Free-Minds after freeing themselves of the many contradictions of traditional forms of practising Islaam. Instead of being more guided they became more and more confused as a result of many, how shall I say "mini-messengers" out there who had some argument about changing the meaning of a basic word, which then led to all kinds of arguments and a state of utter confusion. I've already seen a little of this since coming back.
As a result of this confusion I recall many members by name (whose privacy I shall maintain) who were in a state of spiritual crisis as it were and were in the process of leaving Islaam completely. There were also several 'traditionalists' or 'conservatives' - maybe they would probably disagree with being called that, maybe I should call them historicists, I don't know - but they were against the concept that some people here were creating Islaam to fit their own Western desires and eventually they did a walk out and went to create an alternative website? Maybe I dreamt all of this up - can someone from back then also recall this occurring?
I would say I was very much more of an observer than a participator, with a lot of personal and private conversation pms in the background and I stopped using the forums altogether around 2006/2007 because I moved countries and didn't access the internet for a little while which got me out of step with using forums altogether (I used to be on a number of non-religious forums too), but I have vivid memories of the state of Free-Minds at that time and I wonder about the fate of some of those people.
Time and folk change. The way to debate changes also. Life changes as we are "debating".
I simply call it "another generation" of people in an ongoing "evolution" of finding out about life,religion,topics....
But what happened to those people? I can clearly see, apart from the moderators, most of the regular users seem to have completely changed. I was hoping that a real movement would get off the ground by this time but it seems, much to my fears this confusion has paralyzed the community and kept it confined to the 2-dimensional realm of cyberspace.
Still very useful ,brother.
Welcome back.
GOD bless you.
Peace.Thank you for your kind and warm welcome good logic )
My impression the same debates rehashed and rekindled cyclically and repetitively, always bringing up the same arguments and topics in a continuously devolving level of argumentation as new members join and raise the same issues.
Devolving being the key word here tempt This was my suspicion and my fear. What really depressed me were a couple of the Western converts who came to traditional Islaam, became distanced from their families, and then became distanced from traditional Islaam due to the many contradictions with the Qur'aan, they came to places like this hoping to be on a path of positive change but from what I could see they only became more confused.
I hope people don't take my comments offensively, this is not a bash at Free-Minds which I do think is a positive influence in the world, and I congratulate all the contributors on what they have acheived here so far!
Now it is an anti-pagan haunting the place instead rotfl
What do you mean by this brother? Surely people haven't started burning witches? D
-
Peace Osman.
Thank you for your reply and clarification.Similar questions were asked in one of the threads few weeks ago.
The answers,as you might guess, were as different as the views here. Some agree some disagree of how good this forum "used to be".
I think the majority realise, that there is a powerful verse that warns us to "Check all information, GOD has given us the ears, eyes and brain and we are responsible for using them".
Those who come here,or go anywhere ,should do so with caution. The only true and guaranteed source of guidance is GOD.( His words, not men s words,i.e His true scripture?)
Sometimes, and rightly so, we get attached to something and when it changes ,we feel disappointed.
Yes,indeed, people have come and gone from here for whatever reason, they might have benefited or not. The grand scheme of things is controlled by other than us.
I still think there are some good /genuine /knowledgeable people here who discuss all sorts with honesty and respect for all the forum members.
Good to have one more.
GOD bless you.

...2005...
Salaam and Wow, welcome back Osman!
The late 90s and early 2000s seemed like a different world, a better one for some reason! The nostalgia! The teen years of discovery! I never ventured out to the forum here back then, but I did read a lot of the main site articles, 2005 onwards.
Interesting to note that the forum was frequented by a lot more people..I think of the 100285 off registered users today, a large chunk would be bogus product advertisers, who never make a contribution relevant to what this place is about.

Yes back then there were different camps, there was the core Free-Minds open to many different possibilities camp, and this group were the most easy going and least likely to be offended, there were the Submitters/19 miracles of the Qur'an people and Edip Yuksel used to make regular appearances, there were the 'I'm not a traditional muslim but I'm not going to throw all the Hadith into the bin' people, and then there were also individuals with very stark and opinionated viewpoints who singularly served to drive discussion, and as always the stalwart moderators keeping a quiet eye over everything with fittingly moderated comments to match!
At first glance things seem a little more 'New Agey' here with a couple of the threads I've been reading.
How long have you been posting on Free-Minds?
-
If you are throwing hadith into the bin, code 19 by logic consequence ends up in the bin as well. The whole "mathematical wonder" of code 19 is using a hadith based codex (indexing).
If you are throwing hadith into the bin and you are trying to be consistent in doing so, one has to review many doctrines of the islamic doctrine among which
- The hadith about the change of Qibla
- The integrity of the Quran (free from manipulations?)
- The night journey
- The geolocation of historical events and places
- The revelation by Gabriel to Muhammad (did Gabriel speak to Muhammad outside hadith?)
- What book is being referred to in Quran with the term Quran, while this Quran was still in process of being revealed?
From my point of view, there was never a change in Qibla (it has always been Temple Mount), the Quran has been manipulated a lot in its discourse and its text (rendering it to contradiction and lack of clarity), the night journey is a fantasy, the origins of the Quraysh are Syria not Hejaz, Gabriel never spoke to Muhammad (and I very much doubt he was a prophet at all), the Quran referred to in the Quran is the judeo-nazarene lectionary (qorono).

Peace brother Osman, salaamun alaik,
Welcome back to the forum group
This forum has been life changing for me. When I first discovered it I used to be a Sunni Muslim and what I discovered here was shocking to me at that time and shattered my existing beliefs. Subsequently I rejected the fabricated hadith and became an allah alone muslim (small m). I realized that "Islam" (capital I, proper noun) is nowhere to be found in al-quran and is actually a pagan religion fabricated by humans and "Muslims" (capital M, proper noun) are followers of this pagan religion, which has nothing to do with "islam"/peacemaking and "muslim"/peacemaker (small i and small m, adjectives) as used in al-quran. I stopped going to the mosque and became socially isolated but I still felt happiness and peace that I had finally discovered the truth.
As you can see from my early posts, I was actively posting and trying to learn from others and convince some others of my newfound beliefs. I fondly remember discussions of Ayman, Wakas, Samia, Noon, Siki, agentxxx etc. which were eye opening for me. Older posts by Hafeez Kazi, Anwar, Layth, savage_carrot, Zenje etc. that I browsed and read were also very useful and informative and I learned a lot. Little did I know at that time that I was committing logical fallacies in my discussions (especially circular reasoning or begging the question) and that I was going to stumble on some even bigger truths (which I discovered on this forum also in a thread by some brilliant forum members like Tay, OPF etc). The 2009 me would have considered the 2014 me as a kafir just like some current forum members here do! I am however a bit sad that most of the "heavyweights" I mentioned above have either left this forum or don't post much any more
Ayman is busy in his English translation project of his Arabic book and is active on Facebook and his website. He doesn't post much here nowadays and I miss his enlightening discussions. Hafeez Kazi posts sometimes and his posts are still very sharp and brilliant but he has been more of a lurker. His enlightening posts from the early days were very informative and useful to me. I don't know what happened to Anwar, Zenje and Tay. Samia rarely posts nowadays. OPF has become a spiritually advanced "sufi" and posts very rarely. He changed his name to IAMOP. Siki posts very rarely. Wakas and Noon are still actively posting nowadays. Wakas has written some new articles on his website that are brilliant and very informative and highly recommended. You should ask him for a link.
I stopped posting actively after an incident on this forum in 2009 but was still lurking around sometimes and did not start posting again until 2014. I have always been a truthseeker, open minded and actively in search of the truth about religion, health, politics etc. and retained my critical thinking which has led me to the discovery of new amazing truths in all those fields.
Some verses of al-quran never made sense to me but in the beginning I attributed it to mistranslation or misunderstanding but the more I researched and discussed the stronger my suspicions grew instead of being resolved. I was also aware of the various codices of al-quran in existence at time of death of Muhammad which had significant differences, and that one codex (Zaid's codex) was arbitrarily chosen by a succeeding caliph and the rest were destroyed (for example codices of Ibn Masud and Ubayy Ibn Ka'b).
http//www.inthenameofallah.org/Codices%20of%20the%20Quran.html
In 2010 I came across an extremely interesting thread by Tay which has since led me to the discovery of some new spiritual truths which have drastically changed my views! I discovered a new source of revelation channeled in 1980's which shocked me and shattered my belief system once again. For the first time all my questions were satisfactorily answered which were never before answered by al-quran and I felt like I had discovered the ultimate truth which made complete sense and I felt complete peace.
Then I found out about Sanaa palimpsest manuscripts which show unequivocal archeological evidence of tampering of verses of al-quran soon after death of Muhammad. This confirmed my suspicions about some verses of al-quran; that al-quran might not be 100% infallible word of allah in its entirety, and might contain some falsehoods!
https//en.m.wikipedia.org/wiki/Sana%27a_manuscript
http//www.islamic-awareness.org/Quran/Text/Mss/soth.html
http//www.answering-islam.org/authors/oskar/palimpsest.html
http//www.islam-watch.org/home/78-sujit/46-earliest-quranic-manuscripts-of-sanaa-downfall-of-islam.html
I arrived at this conclusion using the methodology suggested by al-quran itself for verification of the truth. This is the same methodology that led me to the discovery of falsehood of hadith in the first place. This showed me how al-quran has been divinely protected. Using its own methodology on the current text of al-quran, it becomes obvious which majority of verses are the truth and which few verses have been corrupted, and the tampered verses stand out like a sore thumb.
The methodology I am referring to is using the inner compass (3030), mind and reason (numerous verses, for example 3942, 1644, 1669, 2118, 2164), knowledge (1736), and real world evidence (4153).
3030 So establish yourself to the system of monotheism. It is the inclination that allah has nurtured the people on. There is no changing in the creation of allah. Such is the pure system, but most of the people do not know.
1736 And do not uphold what you have no knowledge of. For the hearing, eyesight, and heart, all these you are responsible for.
4153 We will show them our signs in the horizons, and within themselves, until it becomes clear to them that this is the truth. Is it not enough that your lord is witness over all things?
Well, all the signs in the horizons that I have been shown, unequivocally point out to the conclusion that some verses of current text of al-quran have been tampered with and corrupted soon after death of Muhammad. Of course the current text of al-quran still contains core truths that are amazing and fundamental source of guidance for humans.
Currently I believe in One Infinite Creator (2115), the law of free will, past lives and reincarnation (4011, 228, 2259), repercussions of our actions (the last day, which I call the day of "harvest", service to others (good deeds), spiritual evolution to higher density states ("heaven", and eventual escape from this temporary illusion of separateness and merging back with the One Infinite Creator (the return to your lord), which are all in line with quranic teachings.
Al-quran summarizes this as follows
262 Surely those who believe; and those who are Jewish, and the Nazarenes, and the Sabians, whoever of them believes in allah and the last day and does good works; they will have their recompense with their lord, and there is no fear upon them, nor will they grieve.
As good logic says
The only true and guaranteed source of guidance is GOD.( His words, not men s words,i.e His true scripture?)
I agree 100%. The question is whether a particular verse is actually the truth and of divine origin or not. Even al-quran advises us to verify using our mind/reason, knowledge, and external signs in the horizons before blindly believing it as the truth. I still consider myself an allah alone muslim (even though some current forum members regard me as kafir) but I am now more careful as to whether an alleged divine truth is actually the truth. I question everything and follow the quranic methodology of verifying the truth first before blindly accepting it as the truth.
I am eagerly awaiting the archeological discovery of the original complete text of al-quran written by Muhammad himself, the one preserved in lawh mahfooz, and compare it with the current text of al-quran, which will be the ultimate confirmation.
I could never grasp Jafar's posts in the past when I still had blind devotion but now I understand what he tries to convey, after the truth has been exposed to me. I find his posts enlightening. Among other current members I find Emanuel's posts very useful spiritually (the newer posts from a few months ago, not the older ones). I am a big fan of Novice, Taro Hiroshi and some others (who don't share my views about al-quran but I am a huge fan of their logic and reasoning) and also a big fan of Samira and runninglikezebras.
The 2009 me would have disregarded Jafar's, Emanuel's, runninglikezebra's and Samira's posts right away but now I realize the truthfulness of their basic understandings. Among the older posters, the 2009 me would have rejected magi's posts also but now I realize how truthful his basic understanding was and I miss his posts. I wonder what happened to him and Lote Tree who was also very insightful. Now that I think about it, even Apple Pie's post about discrepancies in al-quran was helpful to me, even though I completely disregarded him in the past. I have missed mentioning some other forum members but I appreciate all their posts which have been helpful to me in my journey.
I send my love to all humans on this Earth and all 3rd density and higher density entities all over the Universe, no matter what their views, because we are all part of the One and we are all spiritually connected brothers and sisters beyond this temporary veil and illusion.

Peace runninglikezebras,
I believe the Qur'an is complete and we shouldn't have to use the Hadith for religious direction, however hadith are a source of historical information, and like all histories, they are written by the victors i.e. Muawiyah, the Ummayads.

With some historical research you might find out the Uthmanic Quran was also compiled by so-called victors and is by no means complete nor original. What, outside hadith, legitimizes this Uthmanic codex of Quran we know today - except a tradition (a chain of transmissions; that is only solidified with hadith) of rashidun Caliphs? Did God authorize ANY of the caliphs whatsoever to compile their authorized version of a Quran? The early caliphs banned many heterodox versions of qurans compilation. The Sanaa manuscripts show manipulation in the inferior psalimpsests beyond any doubt.
Every Quranist on this forum claims not to be using hadith - very few actually stick to that claim in reality...

Thank you for the links, at first I found your long post daunting for a forum & but I read right through it and found it very interesting, if I have the time I will look through all the links you have provided.
Could you please elaborate on what 'Higher Density States' are - it sounds like something I've heard David Icke say.
-
Peace Osman,
I wish I remembered your forum name from back then!
I am a fan of David Icke but of course I don't blindly believe whatever he says without verifying it for myself first. I have his book "Children of The Matrix". Very interesting read!
Please read "the law of one" just for fun. It will explain all the higher density states in great detail.
In summary
Density is the closest word in English that I can think of to express the state of existence. You can substitute it with "level" if "density" doesn't make sense.
The One Creator is infinite (2115). The logical implication is that everything is part of the One Infinite Creator. If anything is not part of the One Infinite Creator then the Creator would be finite because the Creator would end somewhere and that thing will begin somewhere. Since the Creator is infinite then everything is part of the One Infinite Creator.
2115 And to allah belong the east and the west, so wherever you turn, there is the presence of allah. Allah is encompassing, knowledgeable.
All creation is physical manifestation of a tiny part of the Infinite Intelligent Energy (the One Infinite Creator). Energy and matter are inter convertible (E = m times c squared). Quantum physics proposes that all sub atomic particles are fundamentally formed from vibrations of strings of energy.

http//www.youtube.com/watch?v=cCkGD76OEwA&feature=youtube_gdata_player
In our current 3rd density physical state of existence we are in an illusion of separateness from the One Infinite Creator. We will progressively go through higher density states of existence (the hereafter or heaven) until we reach the 8th density and merge back with the One Infinite Creator.
3rd density humans will eventually be transformed into 4th or higher density beings. Please reflect and meditate on the following verses
5660 We have predetermined death for you. Nothing can stop us
5661 From transforming your forms, and establishing you in what you do not know. This worldy life is nothing but an illusion/deception
5720 ............This worldly life is no more than an illusion/deceiving enjoyment.
Earth, air, water etc, are at 1st density state of existence; no consciousness, no free will.
Animals and plants are at 2nd density state of existence. They have consciousness but they don't have free will to choose between service to self (STS) or service to others (STO) path. Some animals such as cats and dogs are at a higher 2nd density state of existence, close to 3rd density.
Humans are at 3rd density state of existence. They have consciousness and free will to choose between STS or STO path. The lesson to be learned in this density is choice between STS and STO path. The veil of forgetfulness is very strong in 3rd density and we are unable to remember our memories from before coming to this world.
Jinns (aliens, spirit guides, angels etc.) are at 4th or higher density states of existence. They have all the above plus their sub atomic particles are made of strings of energy vibrating at a different frequency than the lower densities so their "bodies" look different, with different physical properties. For example they can cloak themselves from the lower densities, have ability of telepathic communication, materialize as 3rd density being, exist as a collective (like the Borg Cube in Star Trek), exist on planets that are uninhabitable to lower density entities etc. Their bodies become less and less dense and more and more light as the densities increase.
3rd density beings have 4 bodies - Physical body
- Emotional body
- Mental body
- Spiritual body
In 4th density, the physical body is shed and the other 3 remain. There is no physical suffering possible then, but only emotional, mental and spiritual suffering is possible. The lesson to be learned in 4th density is the lesson of love. Jesus was in 4th density when he volunteered to come back to Earth in a 3rd density existence to communicate the message of "the law of one" and "love" to other 3rd density beings. He is now in 5th or 6th density. The veil of forgetfulness in 4th density is lighter. Technology is advanced. They live for thousands of years.
In 5th density, the emotional body is also shed and only the other 2 remain. The lesson to be learned is the lesson of wisdom. Veil of forgetfulness is even lighter. Technology is very advanced.
In 6th density onwards, the mental body is also shed and only the spiritual body remains and they are "light beings". Veil of forgetfulness is totally lifted and they can freely move from space-time to time-space. In space-time you are confined to moving in space but cannot travel in time (3rd density). In time-space you are confined to travel in time but cannot move in space. The lesson to be learned is balancing love with wisdom. Technology is extremely advanced and they can manifest thought into physical objects and travel faster than light. They exist for millions of years.
All humans go into 6th density state of existence after death, before being temporarily sent back to a lower state of existence in the next life. The whole life history displayed in front of you after death is because you can go into time-space and travel back in time and review your entire life.
Gabriel belongs to 6th density existence. Muhammad was 6th density entity before he volunteered to go back to 3rd density existence just to communicate the message of "the law of one", "love" and "wisdom" to other 3rd density beings on Earth. After his death he resumed his journey at 6th density state.
In 7th density, preparation is made to merge back with the One Infinite Creator and they supervise all lower density beings by the will of the One Infinite Creator. This density is the gateway density. They are very light beings, almost pure light and their will is completely in unison with the will of the One Infinite Creator.
In 8th density, merging back with the One Infinite Creator occurs, termed as "return to your lord" by al-quran.
228 How can you reject allah when you were dead and he brought you to life? Then he makes you die, then he brings you to life, then to him you return.
Some of these higher density entities have been given control by the One Infinite Creator over various matters and they are what al-quran refers to as "malaika"/controllers.
From 3rd density to 6th density you can be of positive polarity (service to others) or negative polarity (service to self). The negative polarity existence is sort of "hell" but there is no burning in fire! They just live in a materialistic, selfish, hierarchical social structure. For example reptilians (Dracos) are 5th density negative entities. At early 6th density no further spiritual progress is possible unless you convert to positive polarity and from mid 6th density onwards every entity is positive polarity.
For full details, please read "the law of one" in its entirety. Please discard whatever does not resonate with you.
May the One Infinite Creator guide us to the truth.

May God guide all that wants to be guided and seek for purification and salvation.
I strongly disagree with some things you say, you shouldnt be saying some stuff you dont know.
God promised in the Quran to protect and preserve the Quran.
Absolutely, we have revealed the reminder, and, absolutely, we will preserve it.This is an honorable Quran. In a protected book. None can grasp it except the sincere. A revelation from the Lord of the universe.
Indeed, it is a glorious Quran. In a preserved master tablet

Thanks for the warm welcome back A.W. )
You must be a similar age to myself!

How long have you been posting on Free-Minds?
Haha, I havent been around for long at the forums! I am not new to the website, but I am relatively new to the forum!

Osman,
What do you mean by this brother? Surely people haven't started burning witches? D
To me Pagan means that you visualize the existence including materialization. Lot of people are visualizing and materializing God, and I am against that and the "haunting anti-pagan" on this forum. Well, I try to keep myself elsewhere a lot lately not to freak people out here.
Be safe
