Brother Aladin
You know what, when I was learning physics in high school I was amazed by the things I learned and how much of it was based on sheer faith. Take Atoms for example. Did you know that we still don't have pictures of an Atom? The only thing we get is drawings same goes for Earth or any other galaxy out there. They are all composite CGI.
With the technology we have today, we should have 24/7 live feed of Earth from any of the over 10.000 satellites that are supposedly orbiting the Earth and yet 99 % of the internet is going through cables under the ocean! So when we say cloud in reality it is under the sea.
However I cannot understand what is the reason for all of these lies that were forced upon us for centuries.
And brother is DNA too, a hoax? A belief system ? That is not real?
-
My dear brothers,
I'll try once more, and I pray to Allah swt to Help me.
Mazhar, you probably know that Qur'anic language is not Arabic, so translation to any language is not possible, unless one knows its language. "Academic rules of translation" doesn't exist, since there's no academy te learn Qur'anic language. It can be gifted by Allah swt only. We can discuss this, but it's off-topic here. It's not good to compare Qur'an with anything, unless Allah swt done so, nor it's good to give to it any adjective, if Allah swt didn't do so. So, unless you haven't saw DNA or you haven't prove it that it exists, watch what you're talking. Believing in information from fasiqoon is a sin, may-be fisq too.
Think about why you wrote this from the start... this is what is ours, intentions (not) to do something.Brother hansolo, then what lead you to believe in what is not acceptable to you? Anything which is not proven (haqq) cannot be taken as haqq. Belief is based on the knowledge about haqq, otherwise it's superstition, any belief. If we don't have the knowledge about something, proven knowledge, then why we believe in anything? We can be right, but it's superstition anyways, since it's guessing (rajm, rujoom is plural). But, guessing about "masabih" is very dangerous, since shaytans are guessing about them. Maybe some other guessing is not a big sin, but it's a sin for sure, since we were warned in so many ayats about it.
Please, for your good, leave all theories, assumptions and opinions and believe only what you have knowledge about. It's enough for 'iman, Allah's is giving what we need. Any belief w/o knowledge about haqq is shirk. You discarded false hadith, but there's so much sihr around us, hadith is just to obvious.
Allah's bless and salam.

Aladin what is the language of the Quran? If it's not Arabic. What about the letters it is written with? Are they not Arabic letters? Please could you explain further as knowing the truth is all I seek.
And what is Haqq?
And how could I for example apple understand the Quran?
Peace -
Qur'an was sent with its language, Arabiyyun Mubin, on Muhammad's sawa heart (26192-196). This doesn't mean "clear Arabic language", but it's clear (mubin). (Lisan) Arabiyyun should mean "free from error".
The language Arabs are using is not "free from error", nor it's "mubin" (clear). There were only a few dozens of literal Arabs in time of revalation, so we can't talk about Qur'anic letters. It's not known that Muhammad sawa ever wrote anything (Qur'an said he didn't), so letters we're using are adopted by the people after him. I won't say if it's wrong or good, it is helpfull and since Allah swt is hafiz of the Qur'an we should not worry about it.
But all Qur'anic words and all its grammar rules are only for and from the Qur'an. We cannot take anything outside the Qur'an and (dis)prove anything in the Qur'an. Qur'an is Furqan, but it's also Furqan for itself.
Haqq is proven truth.
You asked very interesting question about understanding the Qur'an. I thought that it's easy. Then I thought it's not easy but it's enough to do some things and I should know it. At the end, I understood that understanding the Qur'an is possible only if Allah swt wants.
But, since He promised a lot to us, we should follow it.For example, I was trying to understand where was Dhulqarnayn and who was he and all about it. I was reading those verses zillion times (sorry for using very huge number ), but I understood almost nothing. Then I stopped and prayed to Him to give me what is good for me and with what He's satisfied. Almost instantly I knew what I wanted to know.
Or, there're two example about munafiqs, from the start of Baqara. I was reading them a lot but couldn't understand, until I understood them in a second.
Duas and salihat (good deeds) are helpfull for the knowledge, but we should also pray only for khayr (good) and His satisfaction, because we know nothing and He knows what is good for us.But, in any case, we should follow only what we understood ourselves. It's better to understand one word in a month then to follow others' "truth".
I hope this will help with His 'izn.
Allah's bless and salam.
-
Is it forbidden to use very huge numbers?
No, but whenever somebody's talking about what we can't understand (as very huge or small numbers) we should discard these informations.
hansolo, I will join your prayers and I wish you and yours all best, and to all Muslims and believers.
Allah's bless and salam.
-
No, but whenever somebody's talking about what we can't understand (as very huge or small numbers) we should discard these informations.
So the "may Allah forgive you" was just a friendly note and had nothing to do with using big numbers?
btw I read a couple of your posts and I did not understand much of them, should we discard these informations of yours?
-

Yes, my brother, you should discard everything you don't understand, we all should. But, of course, we all can believe what we want to believe. This is only for a belief ('iman), it's not for deen, which all should obey.
Yes, "may Allah forgive you" was a friendly prayer for a brother. I didn't want to comment about the light and numbers, but when he compared Qur'an with DNA I had to.Allah's bless and salam.
-
Yes, my brother, you should discard everything you don't understand, we all should.
Then I am afraid we will not learn much from each other. We can at least try to understand what the other is talking about no? We might neglect some value information.

Allah's bless and salam.
Ok then I totally misunderstood.
Salaam and welcome to the forum handshake

Thank you for your welcome. handshake
To teach something from each other at least on of us should be "mua'llim" for some topic, which means that (s)he has to posses 'ilm (knowledge) and is able to teach others. But if others are not understand they can learn nothing, right? It's good we can ask for further explanations, it may help to understand. I don't understand why you asking this? You are accepting what you can't understand, or?I answered only the first part of your question about the huge numbers. There's nothing bad in "may Allah forgive you", we all can forget, and brother probably forgot that we should talk only what we understand, and we can't understand "light years" for sure.
Good night to all from Serbia, have a nice day/night.
Allah's bless and salam.

Believing in information from fasiqoon is a sin, may-be fisq too.
Have you read the entire Grand Qur'aan just once even?
This is because you are calling everyone else in 6/2 billion people as fasiq other than you and believers? Did Allah the Exalted, the Fountain of Knowledge ever said this?
-
Mazhar, you probably know that Qur'anic language is not Arabic, so translation to any language is not possible, unless one knows its language.
I most certainly know the Grand Qur'aan is in Arabic language, the language of Peninsula of Arabia and mother tongue of exalted Messenger Muhammad sas.

Fasiq is well explained in detailed Qur'an, as anything else, but I hope you understand what was said there, at least something. No, not all of non-believers are fasiqoon.
You're saying I'm not a believer? And you think I'm jahil?
OK, I'll try last time to explain you about sihr which blinded you.
You know for the term "burooj fi-sama'". As you wrote on your page, you understood this as "asteroids". This cannot be told unless somebody is a liar or under the sihr or that person is mad. I don't see you as a liar, nor as a mad-man, so I have to look at you as somebody under sihr. It's nothing ubnormal nowadays, because most of the people are under sihr. How can I claim this, for you and most of the humanity?
You should know from 1516 that "burooj fi-sama'" have to be something beautiful to one who's looking at them. So, have you ever saw asteroids? Do you know somebody trustful who saw asteroids? Where from you got "the knowledge" about the asteroids? Is it something from the Qur'an or people named something? Did any of ancient Arabs told about asteroids? Has Muhammad Mustafa sawa mentioned them? Has Ibrahim as, who was shown Malakut of the Heavens and the Earth, told you about asteroids? Did any of believers told you about them, from 'ilm from Allah swt? Have you ever asked yourself did these informations I got come from above, or they came from my sides, from behind or infront of me?You're blinded by something which evil men named by nice name - science. There's a science, but theories are not science, "theretical science" is not a science, it's sihr. There's knowledge also, but assumptions and opinions are not the knowledge. As "The First Teacher, Aristostle said "There cannot be both opinion and knowledge of the same thing at the same time". Btw, Aristotle was mentioned in the Qur'an I read, but it seems we're not reading same Kitab, or we're not reading it in the same language Leave translations, they're not Kitab.
So, about your topic... what is your proof about "black holes", or anything else you mentioned from NASA and Co.? I don't need any, and I hope no man need it, but if you think about it maybe Allah swt leads you to 'ilm and maybe, if you accept that 'ilm, you can believe in it by His 'izn.
I'm really sorry for offensive words I caused from you, but it's the only way sometimes. I pray for both of us and all other believers and Muslims, for khayr with which He's satisfied.
Allah's bless and salam.

You read the Book under your own thoughts, not according to words of the Book. It is about the sky not the Barooj.
No, my brother, you're wrong again
Yes, it was said that the sky is beautiful to one who's looking at it/them, but what makes it beautiful are burooj, not sama' itself. Burooj are all masabih in sama', not asteroids. Allah swt called them burooj, because they're so high, out of our reach.
Please, think about your knowledge, not from the Qur'an (which is not the Book, but it's Kitab), outside of it. I see you as a clever one, probably wise also, just don't go astray.
Btw, burooj is a word, burooj fi-sama' is a term, there's a difference.
Allah's bless and salam.

Again it is rendered self evident that you wish not to listen the Book but to your own thouhgts.
Barooj are not mentioned for beautification of the Sky of Earth.
