Your mental problem is that you read not except that is already trapped in your mind.

    Again see Features
    Elliptical sentence
Simple; Declarative of universal import beyond time and space.

    And later in the link
These two words constitute the first grammatical unit . It comprises of a Prepositional Phrase + Possessive Phrase. The learned grammarians lay the principle that a Prepositional Phrase in Arabic is neither the Subject nor the predicate of a sentence. It relates to either. Therefore, a verb-verbal noun is understood and conveniently estimated before this phrase. We need a citation for a statement. A written word or a statement is firstly spoken by someone; thereby it is reiterated in time and space. We know the Person who orally and in writing communicated the Parlance?the Discourse?verbal Message of Allah the Exalted that we are reading and trying to translate and comprehend in target language English. Therefore, the elided Verb before the statement of universal import that can most appropriately be estimated is "Muhammad Sal'lallaa'hoalaih'wa'salam, the elevated Messenger of Allah the Exalted Pronounced that------". The structure of sentence is simple and is of declarative type.

    Mazhar,

    1. I am unable to find any reference whatsoever in an authentic grammar reference that confirms that an elliptical sentence was a known concept at the time of writing of grammar rules. If you have one, kindly share.

    2. Kindly also share reference that confirms that a prepositional phrase can be part of a possessive phrase as . Which is what your explanation is implying for "Bismi".

Arabic has always been a pro-drop language.

Bismi is linked with Allah; thus it is a grammatical unit comprising of a prepositional phrase and possessive phrase.

      Summary

      1. The first Ayah comprises of a simple elliptical sentence; semantically it is declarative expressing a fact that is not bound in time and space. It is as such even before the physical realm was made to take existence.

      2. Its four words comprise of a preposition and four nouns. Pedagogical lesson is to first learn about prepositions and nouns and their mutual differences. It has all the three more common phrases in languages. The second pedagogical lesson is to learn identifying phrases in the Divine Discourse which can conveniently be distinguished visually.

      3. All translations are erroneous that render the Proper Noun http//haqeeqat.org.pk/English%20Tafsir%20e%20Haqeeqat/00.%20Tabweeb/00003.%20Ar%20Rehman/2.gif as adjectival.

Mazhar, I have seen your opinion and considered it very carefully.

Arabic is a language that has its grammar documented very carefully. I asked for references not opinions again. Kindly provide references. If can't admit it and say so.

Just see the text and read any grammar book about possessive phrase. Visual mark is genitive case of the second noun. First noun never has definite article or tanween. And always keep in mind that Arabic nouns in default state are always nominative. If any noun is in accusative or genitive case, it is because of the influence of preceding word.

Mazhar, that was expected. I doesn't hurt to admit that I have no answer. Which means that one doesn't know and there is more to learn.
