Well there are two things. First they left sectarian religion and second they do not approach the source - Al-Quran to find out what islam is. Their claim that islam is violent is based on sectarian sources. They cannot prove it from Al-Quran.
They were misguided by sectarians and they are still misguided by sectarian sources.

Do they ask you to show them what islam is? Guidance is for those who seek it. So brother let them live their life. They are accountable for themselves and we for ourselves.
Peace

islam , muslim, jew , christian, sunni, wahabi, shia, hindu all are title
the requirement for becoming a favored person infront of God is to submit/serve in one God , the judgement day, and do righteous deeds, 262
and then advance towards the betterment. thats how its work, there are always some keys, basically the beleiver in the book quran called muslim, believer of book bible called christian, and psalms adresses to jews, gita for hindus, and so on,,,
what we need to understand verify them , filter them , seperate the falsehood from truth, and hope so you will on the track which is favored by lord...
ask help from lord sincearly and then God will lead you towards light...
peace.

but the muslims or anybody who turned towards athiesm is something that is clearly wrong. they denied the creator and its existence. which is not in any case give them favor . and there should b no gamble with one chance..
when moses bring signs from God from inside firoon was aware about the truth but he was stubborn and when he was at the stage where he clearly lose everything then he claimed i submit myself to the lord of moses, but God replied too late,,,
people who know truth and still keep denying God these are wicked..

What do you think about ex-muslims who became islamophobes
Even Muslim scholars become Islamophobes when Quran alone is mentioned ;D They use the same arguments used by some nonMuslim to prove Islam is wrong. I have never watched any videos of exMuslims. But I already know what they would be saying. Hence, I would pass.

That's not really weird. On this forum, I think I found members who became 'Quranophobes', perhaps after they realized that the Qur'an is not in harmony with so called "modern science".
Who are the ones who you call Quranphobes?
There is a reason they became ex Muslim, also people who convert to Islam have a reason why they convert.
If you are guided by Allah and you become Muslim and try to follow Quran and keep away from sins than you are doing something you think is worth living for, you believe that God is watching you and that you will be judged for your bad and good deeds. You like reading Quran and you feel good about yourself. Maybe you was a bad person and repented and wants forgiveness. So people who convert have a reason.
If you become ex Muslim than you are not guided by Allah and you seek other things in life, maybe the Islamic religion you follow is made hard for you and you read hadith books and you can not explain to your friends about Islam. They will use Muhamed was a pedophile and will use Isil to say that Islam is a religion of killing. So you will wonder what is going on and you can not explain it. Maybe you like drinking, smoking weed and parties or maybe you like things that according the Quran are bad for you. Maybe your work is not halal. There are many reasons why someone becomes a ex Muslim. We should know why they choose this path and than talk with them about this. But if they live a life of haram and they just want to be atheists than we should not try to fix them, they have made a choice and that is their choice.
Than we have people who were Muslim and now they are not and they tell bad things about Islam. For this are also many reasons. Some of them are paid and some of them had bad experiences in the Islamic world. Like in Somalia and other countries you have circumcision done to women and that is very painful, this is not what Quran says to do to a women, but they still do it. And if someone who had so much pain leaves Islam than they will use their bad experiences to talk bad about Islam. This has nothing to do with Islam, but for them it does. Example is Hersi Ali. She is paid to talk bad about Islam and in Somalia she did not had any shoes to wear and now she is a wealthy women. My conclusion is that such people who were Muslim ( Hadith Muslim ) sold their souls for money in many cases. Some just hate what is done to them in the name of Islam and will use everything to talk bad about Islam. I think that such talk only can happen in western world were such people are idols for talking bad about Muslims and these people get a lot of attention and the Christians, Jews and atheists love them for talking bad about Islam. Islam is growing and they can not stop it, so they use ex Muslim to talk bad about Islam.
We have television and games and we grew up in a time were everything is made for us so we can have much fun. This life is according the tv and media a life of parties, vacations and games. So most people will not go and read Quran they will go on youtube or watch movies, listen to music. Most people want Versace and gucci. They want big houses and expensive cars. A lot of Muslims want the life what Atheist have, but according the Quran this is not how they should live and that makes them losing they religion in many cases. In Islamic countries these people have no back up from others, but in the west they have. We now have Muslim models and Muslim fighters, who are becoming famous. Even if they do their best to stay away from haram, they will not succeed. It will begin with a few drinks and parties and after that they will leave quran and will live like the rest. Than this kind of people will be role models for the next generations and the most dangerous thing for Islam can be when our children take such people as role models. What could happen is that when such a person who claims to be Muslim all of a sudden changes his religion and says bad things about Islam, how many children will ask them self if they are wrong for believing in Quran. Is it not better to live like the rest in this country, they will ask them self. We can see in the western world Muslim girls wearing a hijab and a tight shirt with tight jeans. This change is already happening and only a few ex Muslims is needed that even in the Islamic countries this change happens. I see this as a big problem and already i see changes happening. Muslim men sell drugs and do a lot of haram things, some of them even pray 5 times a day, thinking that they are on the right path. Zina is happening everywhere and Muslims are behaving aggressive towards others while they live a life of haram just like atheists, but they do not see how similar they are. Because of this change and the similarity between all races we can expect more ex Muslims in the future. This is not strange. But there will be also many converts, who will be guided by Allah and will choose the right path.
Let us not try to guide the ones who are leaving Islam, let us guide the ones who are guided by Al Lah and became Muslim. We should be here for them and learn them about Islam and answer their questions if they do not understand. I think this is much wiser to do than to waste time on people who wants to be wicked.

Who are the ones who you call Quranphobes?
Quranophobes. I refer to those who later against (critizice) the Qur'an, while previously they supported the Qur'an. I found that someone can be a passionate atheist while in the past this same person supported the Qur'an passionately. Quite 'amazing'.
People could believe me or not, but I will share my thought even after we think that we've found "God alone path" (or "Qur'an alone path" or "Quranist path" - whatever you call it), it doesn't mean that we instantly pass the test and thus "saved", no, because we will still face/continue with our tests (e.g. our loyalty to God still continue to be tested). Until when? I don't really know - perhaps until we die.
Peace.

Let us not try to guide the ones who are leaving Islam, let us guide the ones who are guided by Al Lah and became Muslim.
The truth is we (humans) cannot guide anyone. We can advise other people to obey Allah. We can invite people to follow the true path, but we cannot guide them, not even one.

Salaam aliekum brothers and sisters of humanity, i am new here and i want ask you guys a question. What do you think about ex-muslims who became islamophobes. Just wanna hear your thoughts.
Salaam,
You're not new. I've seen you around, lurking. D
Hmm... Typically I think "Islamophobe" ex-Muslims are born Muslims who never studied their religion, nor were they ever encouraged to, and eventually when they did study the religion, they found major issues with hadith and Qur'an. They're living in cultures or within families where "Islam" is the center of life and Sharia rules, and by leaving the religion they face getting shunned by their close-minded family, ridiculed, and have to fear getting killed for their apostasy.
A while ago I was on the ex-Muslim Reddit (I don't know why... guess I was curious to see what kind of discussions were happening there). Someone was ranting about the time they went to the mosque with their family (they were a closeted atheist) and they overheard 2 converts gushing about how much the Qur'an spoke to them. This person's rant was about not understanding how they found any wisdom and beauty in the "barbaric" and "terrible" Qur'an.
I would think they're Islamophobes because they're seeing "Islamic" culture that is so backward and oppressive, and these cultures are the ones "representing" Islam. They're repulsed by this, so they hate Islam as a whole. Because of these cultures and the firm mindsets of their family and friends, they don't see any opportunity for how Islam can change and reform. For them, Islam is just set in its barbaric ways and it will continue to remain that way until it destroys itself, or until it's destroyed by the rest of the world.
I believe I have seen a "Qur'an only" Muslim on that Reddit once, telling them about themselves and encouraging the ex-Muslims to ask them questions. I do believe they found his/her beliefs strange and something they hadn't heard of before, but I still think they accepted it was a better form of "Islam." Not sure how many accepted that it could still be a part of "Islam" as they all traditionally thought, though.
Just my two cents. peace

i wrote let us guide the ones who are guided by Al Lah, so i feel the same, but we can guide them a little bit, it is not that we do not have any influence on others. We do and if we say we can't guide and we will let them so they can be guided by Al Lah, than we are wrong. Sometimes a few words can make a difference. It is the same when someone wants to do suicide than we should also guide him not to do such a thing, if we say let Allah guide him than maybe he will do suicide. I would try to help. We can tell what we think and what we discover and if someone reads about this in some kind of manner you are guiding too. Off course real guidance comes from Al Lah.

What do you think about ex-Muslims who are Islamophobic?
In all honesty i feel sorry for them, they claim that they are free but the way i see it they became slaves of their own hatred, They may be free from SECTARIAN version of Islam, but they say that its the whole of Islam which for me its a perfect system bestowed on the universe since its birth by Allah. Im not gonna hate on them but some of them have gone completely crazy. Personally i blame the Hadiths for this problem. If we show them that the Hadiths were never part of Islam the whole time maybe they will rethink their position but thats up them. God willing they will soon see truth. I will always see them as my brothers and sisters of humanity but they are sadly misguided.

Having discussed on multireligious forums, some islamophobic ex-Muslims became so after having realized that people like Mother Theresa are going to Hell after death as per Islamic and even Quranic standards, while djihadists are going to Paradise.
Few people actually read Quran, and when they do it is often a shock. And Islam is really a violent religion, not only because of djihad, contrary to people here tend to think. It is violent because of the burden it imposes on society even in daily life, like rituals, social gaze forcing people e.g. to fast, very strong sexual morals, prohibition to change religion, corporal punishments...
With respect to those reasons, I am not so convinced that a Quran-alone society would really make people free, and I suspect that most ex-Muslims are not convinced either.
How different would a Quran-alone society be from moderate Muslim countries, like Morocco or Tunisia ? But these two countries are still far away from Western countries in term of freedom and human development.Quranists tend to believe that rejection of Islam is just because of hadiths that lead to a wrong understanding of Quran. But this is not so true. Islam rejectors I have talked to are so because of what is written in Quran, and they often quote quranic verses, not hadiths.
And when quranists say that violent verses in Quran are only for self-defense, those islamophobes say that these verses have never been interpreted in that sense by Muslims since 1400 years and that it is only when Muslims became dominated by Western countries that they have tried to make that point.
I believe that most Muslims or even Quranists tend to naive or blind on the reasons why some Muslims turn Islamophobic. Their reaction is a bit like this one we are perfect, our Book is perfect and if you disagree, it is only because you didn't understand that we or our Book are perfect, since you are not perfect yourselves. yuck
