Level of Quranic dietary observance?

Peace.
GOD knows we "humans" are going to find all sorts of scenarios. So GOD added use "sincere intentions" or " if one is forced to"...etc.In short if you do not have a choice, cannot find a source/way.have been lied to /given the wrong information...etc. Dedicate to GOD, say /remember GOD s name and consume.
If you have the choice and know for sure ,do not consume.
GOD s instructions and words are clear.
Nowdays, I do not see a problem. You can even choose the type of meat and the condition the herd/animal are reared. So eat what is "LAWFUL and GOOD" and enjoy. In food we differ in our taste , our variety and our tradition /method of cooking ...Eat what you like in moderation and thank the provider, your creator or everything Enjoy /celebrate/share your tasty food with family and friends.
What a blessing from GOD to have all these varieties of food/drinks for all His servants.
GOD bless you.

I never realized that they were doing electroshock and stunning on animals. Never thought about it. I googled FDAs stance on this and the below is what I found. Appears they are claiming that this electroschock therapy renders a pain-free status for the animals. Would the FDAs stance change anyone's perspective on this when they claim that this is the most humane way for meat to be slaughtered??? They also noted that mainstream more traditional religious factions have jumped on board with the stunning or electroshock deaths or are required to meet the criteria for the Humane Slaughter Act which allows for Kosher or Halal slaughtering. I guess the question now would be.. do we accept this as permissible, allow ourselves to partake in the meat with the understanding of 6119 as a compulsion or necessity to eat meat or do we just go vegetarian or vegan and supplement missing nutrients with other foods/vitamins???
Content of the Humane Slaughter Act
7 U.S.C.A. ? 1902. Humane methodsNo method of slaughtering or handling in connection with slaughtering shall be deemed to comply with the public policy of the United States unless it is humane. Either of the following two methods of slaughtering and handling are hereby found to be humane
(a) in the case of cattle, calves, horses, mules, sheep, swine, and other livestock, all animals are rendered insensible to pain by a single blow or gunshot or an electrical, chemical or other means that is rapid and effective, before being shackled, hoisted, thrown, cast, or cut.
(b) by slaughtering in accordance with the ritual requirements of the Islamic and Jewish faith or any other religious faith that prescribes a method of slaughter whereby the animal suffers loss of consciousness by anemia of the brain caused by the simultaneous and instantaneous severance of the carotid arteries with a sharp instrument and handling in connection with such slaughtering.
According to the law, animals should be stunned into unconsciousness prior to their slaughter to ensure a death with less suffering than in killing methods used earlier. The most common methods are electrocution and CO2 stunning for swine and captive bolt stunning for cattle, sheep, and goats. Of these methods of electrocution, electronarcosis has been widely acclaimed as the safest, most humane and most reliable as well as the surest way to stun the animal and render them insensitive to pain. Organizations such as the Egyptian Fatwa Committee have mutually agreed to this method when of keeping the standards of Halal a concern. Electronarcosis does not infringe on these standards for Halal. Frequent on-site monitoring is necessary, as is the employment of skilled and well-trained personnel. An animal is considered properly stunned when there is no "righting reflex"; that is, the animal must not try to stand up and right themself. Only then can they be considered fully unconscious. They can then proceed down the line, where works in slaughterhouses can begin the slaughtering of the specified livestock animal.
For religious sects to proceed in the slaughtering of animals under specifically related rituals, they must fall within compliance of the previously mentioned criterion. No religion is exempt and all animals due to be slaughtered must be rendered insensible before hand. Many religions find these regulations to fall within their own guidelines as appropriate. The two most common religious slaughter methods in the United States are the method of kosher, of the Jewish faith and the method of Halal, of the Muslim faith. While all require that the animal be killed through ritual slaughter, proponents of certain religious-based slaughter methods claim that the severing of the animal's carotid arteries, jugular veins and vagus nerve renders the animal unconscious as effectively as most other methods, but has yet to be proven.

actually , the way how jewish and islamic traditions slaughter animal... is to cut the throat of animal,,,
it looks like animal is shivering and vibrating... so they consider it ruthless method... so they kill it by one shot or electric shock...
but i just want to inform you guys.. as soon we cut the throat of animal it also cut down spinal cord wind pipe and some nerves that are connected to brain which are responsible for pain , medically animal did not feel pain , its the flow of blood that comes out from body of animal which is responsible for the movement of animal... moreover when all blood comes out from body the meat is pure and free of germs , blood is also a cause of germs and not a healthy thing to consume.
in light of this the way of traditional muslims and jews is not wrong.. i m not saying rest of the meat is not halal but i prefer to eat the halal way which is also clean ..
peace God bless you all

Yes since they hit the jugular vein its an immediate death or that is what my understanding is anyways.

hmm exactly.... medically when you cut juglar vein the consciouness lost.. and life force finished.. and in couple of seconds all body stop functioning .. apart from blood release that last for two three minutes...

That seems pretty humane compared to some other methods. Last year I watched a documentary called FOOD INC. and it was sad to see how the animals were treated and housed and cared for on a daily basis.
Slightly off topic.. the movie also discussed Monsanto and their tricks. My neighbor is a genetic food scientist and she has tried to discreetly express her displeasure with Monsanto and their tactics. Monsanto is mostly fruit/vegetation now but to think if they began to control the meat market.. yikes.

Yes.. an eye opener for sure. It talked about how everything is derived from Corn and corn by-products and how they feed the animals these corn products and that is not what should be fed to cows or certain animals. The corn fattens them up and works like hormones because its fattens them up at a higher speed. How they have to check the stomachs of the cows to make sure they are digesting the food ok. Really sad.. and im not saying all farmers, ranches or companies follow those practices but it highlighted the worst of it in the movie.
It also talked about how much of our processed food is just varying levels of corn and corn products. We think we have a cornucopia of choices at the grocery store but its really a CORNucopia of choices.
It also included a segment on Monsanto's politic tactics with farmers which damages the agriculture culture of America as well as the subsidies given to farmers for corn. One of my clients at work was a mid-west farmer who was targeted and suffered at the hands of Monsanto politics. He went bankrupt and had to give up his farm.

Monsanto is one of the most evil companies on the face of the Earth. The GMO corn not only has the problems that you mentioned but far more harmful effects due to the extremely potent and extremely toxic carcinogenic pesticides used on them. Please see the following video by a world renowned French scientist which might be mind blowing to some

Slowly the puppet masters are trying to fulfil their agenda on top of their list through any means necessary. Please read #1 on the inscriptons

Peace everyone,
Just found a sign in the quran relevant to the topic
593 There is no sin upon those who believe and do good works for what they eat if they are aware and believe and do good works, then they are aware and believe, then they are aware and do good; God loves the good doers.
Does this exception/permission override the haram categories?

there is not over those who have trusted and have done the correcting, blame in what they have eaten, when they were not reverant, and they have trusted and have done the correcting, then they have been reverant and have trusted, then they have been reverant and good, and GOD loves the ones who are good.
in my understanding, the perfect tense in arabic generaly denotes a completed action, hence what they 'have eaten when they were not reverant' i.e before they had taqwa, which i interpret as reverance.
the dietary prohibitions are clear, i would advise sticking to them, though for each our own deeds, recently i have been in situations i have possibly eaten unlawful food, and i have asked GOD for guidance in the matters, and to bless me so that i am not in such a situation, and He has, praise be to Him, it is clear what is forbidden, except if one is compelled to do so, not desiring it, and not intending any emnity towards GOD, or his clear laws. the prohibition stands. in fact it is repeated around 5 times..

only involiatible upon you is the dead and the blood and the swine flesh and what has been dedicated for other than GOD with it, but whoever is afflicted without seeking and not being in opposition then indeed, GOD is ever-mercifuly covering
in terms what is dedicated to other than GOD, i was very uneasy about this, as i believe i transgressed, as i have always said (unless i meet the other criteria) i would not eat that which is given a blessing in any other name, told myself that 'they only thanked jesus, so thats not realy dedicating', but i felt uneasy, thank GOD for the blaming soul, i looked into it as thoughroughly as possible, in arabic, and further back, in the 'ancient hebrew lexicon of the bible', and the meaning of the root letters, praise be to GOD enough on this occasion, when i had a few percent battery and was concerned i would deplete it searching through the lexicon, it just so was willed that h-l-l was the example given in the introduction.. and i am confident that any kind of praise of thanks of blessing or exultations, commerations, dedications etc to any other than GOD meet this criteria, and so should be avoided. To me, i felt guilty when i ate from it, may GOD cover me, even though i told myself 'it was only....' my soul was blaming itself.
The only exception is if we are 'afflicted/harmed/suffered/forced' without 'seeking/desiring' and not with 'emnity/opposition/hatred' (of GOD, and His laws)
and GOD is merciful for those who turn to Him, and there is no blame/cause against those who have eaten unlawful food when they were not concious/reverant/GOD fearing (attaqawa) then they have trusted (aamanu) and done the correcting (Aamilu aS-SaliHati)
peace be with you all
