Few Questions
-
1 - How can the Gospels be from God when they were written by men?
2 - Aren't the Gospels similar to Hadith books? Written many years after Jesus?
3 - Maybe the Gospel that Allah talks about is not available anymore?
4 - Why should I care about how jesus lived?, because it's the same idea like asking how Mohammad lived and we all know the fabrications.
5 - I truly don't believe that God made everything to discover the truth so complicated, yet why is it soo complicated? Do we humans complicate things? Isn't the Quran enough?
6 - Do you think that the Gospel and the Torah might be different versions of the Quran? But they were lost? Then we called the other books Gospels and Torah?
7 - The Quran is very different from the Gospels, yet both from God. MOF is going to say interpretation, but shouldnt the Quran be the source to confirm if the Gospel is interpreted right? But if the Quran is interpreted wrong from the beginning then we are pretty much doomed? -
Good questions, Rekked,
One factor in the confusion is I think the mania to turn words into proper names with no descriptive value, like for instance if a say The house, may be it is a particular house, but it is still a house and it must be understood as a house, or may be it is not a proper name either.
As I have said in another post, the words tawrat and injiil are indeed proper Arabic words with a meaning, why should they be loan words to mean something alien not merely to Arabic, but to people in general, because if it is decreed that they are loan words because it is something that is not conceived in Arabic a the word must be loaned, it follows that to any other language to which the Qur'an is trnaslated also the loan word will be alien and not properly translated, but if it a proper Arabic word with an acknowledged meaning then it can also be rendered to other languages to mean that common concept whit it means in the original Arabic.
Kitaab in the Qur'an is not necessarily meant as a book but as something which decreed by God, ans so it is translated in many instances. Ahl el kitaab are all the peoples to whom has made known His decrees, which are indeed al the peoples of the world who follow that.
The bible we know that it is an ethnic history, the qur'an has been biblicised as well to turn it as much as possible into ethnic or linneage histories. When we realise that all the words of the Qur'an mean wht they say and all the words mean something which s concept readily acknowledge by all common people in every language, then we may start to glimpse into the injeel and tawraat, which like hikma, with which they appear some times, mean something readily understndable, except that hikma has not been turned into a proper name, not exclusively, but injiil and tawraat, has been nullified by turning them into proper names.
I still think that the injiil keeps a relation with its prophets Maryam and 3isa, but it is not a book it is a message, a message that may not have been expressed with words but with facts nd it has to do with the first and most acknowledged meaning of the word n-j-l begetting or having offspring.
I am afraid people are not ready for that message. They were not when it first came except for some people and I can't foresee that they will be ready for it in the foreseeable future, may for some eople, but not wholesale. But I guess that is what happens with all divine messages, only few people are really interested in them.

The Gospels are written by men. It is the words that came out of Jesus' mouth that were from God and which were recorded by men.
-
Somewhat yes. The Biblical Gospels are after the death of Jesus. But Jesus' sayings were most probably written down while the man was still alive and at that time in Syriac Aramaic. His sayings seem lost in their original shape.
-
The Gospel is not a book one is looking for but the spiritual lessons that Jesus taught. You will not find a book because Jesus was a spiritual teacher and not an author/writer. Those who liked to record his wisdom could take a pen and paper and write it down and they also did.
-
Because how Jesus lived is like a beacon on how to live like God. The man said himself "I AM" and "The Father (Originator) is in me". The narratives about Muhammed are likely fabrications because no righteous man would live like that. It is self-explanatory. The mark/distinction of allah is in one's being.
-
It is Quran that is the failing link and not the Gospel. If one reinterprets Quran as according to the author rather than men then it becomes apparent.
The Gospel is not a book and never was just as the Torah was never a book. The Torah means something like "the ambiguous", mysteriously implying on something that was left completely unexplained and taught to be followed. The point is that the key to the Torah is by cracking its code, so to say, and figure out why we are to follow some directives in a law. Jesus gave elaborate hints through saying "Moses said that you should not kill (defeat), but I tell you that you should not even be angry with your brother". Jesus meant for you to contemplate on that and reach the conclusion that in the law the point is to stop the bodily impulses that leads a man into seeking to defeat another.
The secret is the body's impulse system. This is what drives us to break the commandments and the root drive is to be suppressed and why Jesus said that "even looking upon a woman with desire (getting aroused) is adultery in your mind".
- You are not doomed. Just use your wits and find the right interpretation because it is not impossible as I have proved even if the work is tedious.
If you look in ancient lexicons you see that they contain myriad definitions and your intelligence should indicate to you that something is not right. No language can contain so many different types of definitions for one word or the language would be very ambiguous and open to misinterpretation.
One key to the reinterpretation is looking into other languages beyond Arabic and the Semitic languages. In many ways for example Greek has many resemblances with Arabic and one may find grammatical corrections within that language. But the most important thing is to study lexicons with their corpus and see what can honestly be the most accurate definition.

YThe gospels speak of Jesus a personnaje that is exclusive to the gospels and the christian tradition.
Jesus is not 3isa
3isa is inthe Qur'an and his message is in the Qur'an not in the Gospels, and his message is a joint message Mryam com 3isa, the qur'an says it clearly they both, the both of them are an aya, a sign.
Le the gospels be the gospels nd let the Qur'an be the Qur'an.
The gospels have their value and their meaningThe Qur'an has its values and its meaning, and those are its values and meanings, not some crumbs from some other table.
Al ma'ida is laid for the believers in the Qur'an, the aya that are Maryam and her son.
As I said, they are really too much for most people to even conceive that they could say something that does not enter their minds.
As the spanish saying goes, you cannot ask the elm for pears.
People want to get what they want to get not what God wants to give them.
That is the question.

True Isa is Isa. Why The Quran doesn't call him Jesus/Yashua ? But calls him Isa?
For example my friend`s name is Jack. If he moves to China, does his name magically change to something else ? Is Quran exact or is it trying to confuse its readers ? I dont think so.

It is because people cannot pronounce the Arabic spelling properly. It is not pronounced Isa/Issa but Eyesua. that is. The interpreters of Quran were not knowledgeable about what they worked with. No one would be required to insert diacritical markers into original Arabic and yet they did it.

3 - Maybe the Gospel that Allah talks about is not available anymore?
An English translation of the Quran - 547 And let the people of the Gospel judge with what God has sent down in it. And whoever does not judge with what God has sent down, then these are the wicked.
Rekkd, how can you let the people of the Gospel judge with it if you think there is none anymore? This verse clearly indicates that there is a Gospel and that you should let the people of it judge with it.
An English translation of the Quran - 543 Why do they ask you to judge among them, when they have the Torah, containing GOD's law, and they chose to disregard it? They are not believers.,
And how can they ask you to judge among you, while they have the Torah, containing GOD's law? So Rekkd, there is clearly a Torah still present with us here on earth.
An English translation of the Quran - 33 He sent down to you the Book with the truth, authenticating what is between his hands; and He sent down the Torah and the Gospel.
The Torah and Gospel are also inspired by God. And it's God who protects the Reminder
An English translation of the Quran - 159 Indeed it is We who have sent down the Reminder, and indeed it is We who will preserve it.
If you want to read an English translation then try by the will of God to read a good translation here http//www.kingjamesbibleonline.org/
A few verses from the Gospel An English translation of the Gospel - Matthew 715 Beware of false prophets, which come to you in sheep's clothing, but inwardly they are ravening wolves. 16 Ye shall know them by their fruits. Do men gather grapes of thorns, or figs of thistles? 17 Even so every good tree bringeth forth good fruit; but a corrupt tree bringeth forth evil fruit.
The original language of it is Greek.

3isa is not Jesus of the Gospel neither with that name nor with any other name. The personage and his life is not the same, nothing at all to do with each other.
One is the son of a single mother, the other had a father who was a cabinet maker, one was born with his father along in a manger with an ox and a mule, the other was born alone at the foot of a palm tree, etc. etc. etc. No ressemblance at all.

Do you know how Jesus, son of Mary, the Messiah is called in the Gospel in it's original language?
One is the son of a single mother, the other had a father who was a cabinet maker, one was born with his father along in a manger with an ox and a mule, the other was born alone at the foot of a palm tree, etc. etc. etc. No ressemblance at all.
Can you give us examples from the Gospel?
-
Oh and by the way, Jesus, son of Mary, the Messiah is a great example for us. Remember, there were a lot of prophets and messengers sent to humanity, but there was sent just one Messiah that we received and are going to receive again in the second coming. And be prepared, and become students of Hes Revelation and may you be enlightened.
In the Gospel it's written An English translation of the Gospel - Matthew 518 For verily I say unto you, Till heaven and earth pass, one jot or one tittle shall in no wise pass from the law, till all be fulfilled.
So this is what Jesus said about the Torah. Remember, heaven and earth is still above and below you. So there is no reason to think about following the whisperers of the devils who try to tell you that there is no Torah anymore.
And remember, Mary the daughter of Imran is a great example for the sisters as well. In an English translation of the Quran - 6612 And Mary, daughter of Imran, who maintained the chastity of her private part, so We blew into it from Our Spirit, and she believed in the words of her Lord and His Books; and she was of those who were dutiful.
See, we read, that she believed in the words of her Lord and His Books. It said Books in plural. There are a lot of examples from the Gospel that you can read to clarify a lot.
So it's a real blessing to be able to believe in all the words of God, the Quran, Gospel, Psalms, Torah and all other inspirations which were given to Hes prophets and messengers which are present with us here on earth.
An English translation of the Gospel - Matthew 44 But he answered and said, It is written, Man shall not live by bread alone, but by every word that proceedeth out of the mouth of God.
-
@Huruf, can you please explain further on this matter.
@Adam The Warner, how is the Gospel sent down by God if its written by men? Inspiration will be your answer, so all the authors are prophets? What if the Gospel and Torah are something else, books or not doesnt matter just something else than what we know? There is something wrong.. Doesn't add up. The meanings of words change all the time throughout history..
@MOF, why are you sure that the Gospels contain the true sayings of Jesus? Written years later means fabrications? You said we are not doomed and to use our brains, yet alot of the things you believe in dont make sense, like becoming Allah. You're faith is strongly based on stories and work of others, it can be flawed.. Especially since arabic words have several meanings and your background has a strong influence on your logic and your reasoning. I understand some key words can be distorted, but the whole language? Lol

Do you know how Jesus, son of Mary, the Messiah is called in the Gospel in it's original language?
Can you give us examples from the Gospel?
To elaborate
Here is the first chapter of the Gospel about the Messiah which grants us the right Guidance and Light that we should receive when studying this subject
An English translation of the Gospel - Matthew 11 The book of the generation of Jesus Christ, the son of David, the son of Abraham.
2 Abraham begat Isaac; and Isaac begat Jacob; and Jacob begat Judas and his brethren;
3 And Judas begat Phares and Zara of Thamar; and Phares begat Esrom; and Esrom begat Aram;
4 And Aram begat Aminadab; and Aminadab begat Naasson; and Naasson begat Salmon;
5 And Salmon begat Booz of Rachab; and Booz begat Obed of Ruth; and Obed begat Jesse;
6 And Jesse begat David the king; and David the king begat Solomon of her that had been the wife of Urias;
7 And Solomon begat Roboam; and Roboam begat Abia; and Abia begat Asa;
8 And Asa begat Josaphat; and Josaphat begat Joram; and Joram begat Ozias;
9 And Ozias begat Joatham; and Joatham begat Achaz; and Achaz begat Ezekias;
10 And Ezekias begat Manasses; and Manasses begat Amon; and Amon begat Josias;
11 And Josias begat Jechonias and his brethren, about the time they were carried away to Babylon
12 And after they were brought to Babylon, Jechonias begat Salathiel; and Salathiel begat Zorobabel;
13 And Zorobabel begat Abiud; and Abiud begat Eliakim; and Eliakim begat Azor;
14 And Azor begat Sadoc; and Sadoc begat Achim; and Achim begat Eliud;
15 And Eliud begat Eleazar; and Eleazar begat Matthan; and Matthan begat Jacob;
16 And Jacob begat Joseph the husband of Mary, of whom was born Jesus, who is called Christ.
17 So all the generations from Abraham to David are fourteen generations; and from David until the carrying away into Babylon
are fourteen generations; and from the carrying away into Babylon unto Christ are fourteen generations.18 Now the birth of Jesus Christ was on this wise When as his mother Mary was espoused to Joseph, before they came together, she was found with child of the Holy Ghost.
19 Then Joseph her husband, being a just man, and not willing to make her a publick example, was minded to put her away privily.
20 But while he thought on these things, behold, the angel of the Lord appeared unto him in a dream, saying, Joseph, thou son of David, fear not to take unto thee Mary thy wife for that which is conceived in her is of the Holy Ghost.
21 And she shall bring forth a son, and thou shalt call his name JESUS for he shall save his people from their sins.
22 Now all this was done, that it might be fulfilled which was spoken of the Lord by the prophet, saying,
23 Behold, a virgin shall be with child, and shall bring forth a son, and they shall call his name Emmanuel, which being interpreted is, God with us.
24 Then Joseph being raised from sleep did as the angel of the Lord had bidden him, and took unto him his wife
25 And knew her not till she had brought forth her firstborn son and he called his name JESUS.

What if the Gospel and Torah are something else, books or not doesnt matter just something else than what we know? There is something wrong.. Doesn't add up. The meanings of words change all the time throughout history..
It's Jesus, son of Mary, the Messiah who preached the Gospel
An English translation of the Gospel - Matthew 423 And Jesus went about all Galilee, teaching in their synagogues, and preaching the gospel of the kingdom, and healing all manner of sickness and all manner of disease among the people.
And
An English translation of the Gospel - Matthew 2414 And this gospel of the kingdom shall be preached in all the world for a witness unto all nations; and then shall the end come.
And the Apostles did a great job in being an apostle
An English translation of the Gospel - Luke 95 And whosoever will not receive you, when ye go out of that city, shake off the very dust from your feet for a testimony against them. 6 And they departed, and went through the towns, preaching the gospel, and healing every where.
Just ask God, believe in it, we have enough indications in the Quran that tell us that the Gospel is send down by God and that it's people should even judge by it because He told us it's a Guidance and a Light.
An English translation of the Gospel - Mark 115 And saying, The time is fulfilled, and the kingdom of God is at hand repent ye, and believe the gospel.
Oh no, it doesn't change. It's the people who change what they think about it.
An English translation of the Gospel - Matthew 518 For verily I say unto you, Till heaven and earth pass, one jot or one tittle shall in no wise pass from the law, till all be fulfilled.
Remember, how much thousands of years old this law is which is being mentioned here. It's was given to Moses. And you have read now what is written in the Gospel about the Torah.
Anyways, and also the Quran itself told us
An English translation of the Quran - 547 And let the people of the Gospel judge with what God has sent down in it. And whoever does not judge with what God has sent down, then these are the wicked.
It doesn't make sense that God would tell us to let a people judge with something that is corrupt. And it's He who protects Hes Reminder
An English translation of the Quran - 159 Indeed it is We who have sent down the Reminder, and indeed it is We who will preserve it.

Arabic words do not have multiple meanings. This is something that you have been made to believe.
My faith is not based on the work of someone else, and the work I am devoted to on Quran is not all all based on someone else's work. If it happens that my faith looks like someone this is just a coincidence.
Why would not people be able to systematically able to distort a whole language according to you?
You have not understood the "become allah" or otherwise you would not say it does not make sense. I have explained that God is like a Grand Consciousness containing of multiple nodes/persons combined of "those who are" while there are a lot of living dead in the world (something like automated beings following a predictable pattern). God made man's "seed" is its image and from its spirit and man is obviously hooked up to the massive mainframe called God. Within the platform called God persons can evolve with the God platform. They become independent lifeforms as is intended. All along we humans are supposed to become independent beings able to be our own consciousness. Our independent platform is being tested in a hostile environment called the bodily and we should retain and develop our superior self's platform despite the imposed contradiction. This is not do incredibly hard to understand and to realize our life is like this beneath the illusion of this world and a non-existent fleshly paradise. If finished in development we become integrated fully with God and no longer living like a developing "disconnected" platform and have full access to the features of God. This is called being an angel is common mouth. This is a development ground.
The word ALLAH means linguistically BE LIKE LIKE WHO, kind of the third person version of what Moses was told by Rabb some ages ago. That is our image of being.
Why would not the Biblical Gospels contain the sayings of Jesus? After all each of them is in alignment to what Quran says, in my reinterpretation work. Each saying is as clear as glass.
And I am someone special, you just do not realize that just as most other people. I sit on a well of knowledge, just requiring the right pedagogy and mode of conveyance to make people comprehend. Just like Jesus had to work really hard in order to convey what he liked to teach. Parables are our best friends.

I have to apologize. Maybe i did sound to harsh last week. I should train my patience and speak wise or be silent instead. It's just that things what you said made me angry. Instead of anger letting rule when preaching i should let love, mercy and kindness rule.

1 - How can the Gospels be from God when they were written by men?
Peace Rekkd The Gospels are from Allah, but lack a safeguard like the
Quran therefore the Gospels contain interpolations, deletions, and additions. Please
understand and this is critical, Shaytayn in no way would stand by as promised and
permit unencumbered access to the truth (Allah), with this understanding it becomes
clear that a text that does not have Allah's protection in the hands of clerics and devils
will be crafted to suit their personal gain.But because of their breach of their covenant, We cursed them, and made their
hearts grow hard; they change the words from their (right) places and forget a
good part of the message that was sent them, nor wilt thou cease to find
them- barring a few - ever bent on (new) deceits but forgive them, and
overlook (their misdeeds) for Allah loveth those who are kind. From those,
too, who call themselves Christians, We did take a covenant, but they forgot
a good part of the message that was sent them so we estranged them,
with enmity and hatred between the one and the other, to the day of judgment.
And soon will Allah show them what it is they have done. (Quran 513-14)police
-
I have a feeling that they are not lost. I think the problem is being made by their "translations". It is something Quran suffers from too. But thanks to Allah, the translation is always accompanied by its original language, Arabic.
shouldnt the Quran be the source to confirm if the Gospel is interpreted right?
Yes, this is how I see both the verses of those Books. Only the ones which match the Quran can be taken as right. If we go for the rest then we end up with things like
Stone the women
Allah told Jews to invade a country
and so on.Needless to say that Israliyat is partly responsible for corrupting the meanings of certain verses of the Quran. I would stick to just one Book because I seriously don't want to spend time filtering what is right and wrong in other scriptures. Even when they match it wouldn't make much difference to me because at the end of the day it is called "parroting".

Yes I agree totally. This is what is meant by relying totally on the Quran. Most have relied on older books and have clouded their minds with new information from the Quran - trying to make sense of it all old and new causes mainly conjecture. The Quran has stated clearly it supercedes the older teachings and only represents the truth - followers of the Quran must also act accordingly and stop wasting time looking back. Old books are filled with conjectures and of course some truth BUT you have no way of telling what is truth unless u have a solid reference AND that is represented by the Quran - ALFURQAN - a solid reference. And to me no matter how bad the Quran is translated, no translation can be perfect thus we need to read many translations (including going tru this forum) in order to find the best meanings - BUT best meanings comes from God when the time comes - if you are steadfast to the Quran.
And after going through many many translations, the message is the same - God is indescribable - God says do good things - God says strive to do better - believe in the unseen and accept it 'as is' until knowledge comes to u - everything is possible with God BUT God does not do stupid/silly/mindless/irrational things so stop thinking about God doing stupid/silly/irrational things just to please himself or for one's salvation like God has a son and he sacrificed his son to save his creation - simply put God creates and he also destroys - God do not change his system - everything comes from God - nothing comes from us except our acceptance of the situation put forth in front of us - God is the teacher of the Quran - etc.
In the Quran, the perspective is always about doing good and avoid the bad, it seems like a one sided perspective. There is another side - destruction and annihilation for failure to adhere - it represents the greater good. It is how we perceive the situation - as everything that comes from God is good - literally everything comes from God - what is bad? - what is bad is only our perspective/acceptance of the situation.

An English translation of the Gospel - Luke 84 And when much people were gathered together, and were come to him out of every city, he spake by a parable
5 A sower went out to sow his seed and as he sowed, some fell by the way side; and it was trodden down, and the fowls of the air devoured it.
6 And some fell upon a rock; and as soon as it was sprung up, it withered away, because it lacked moisture.
7 And some fell among thorns; and the thorns sprang up with it, and choked it.
8 And other fell on good ground, and sprang up, and bare fruit an hundredfold. And when he had said these things, he cried, He that hath ears to hear, let him hear.
9 And his disciples asked him, saying, What might this parable be?
10 And he said, Unto you it is given to know the mysteries of the kingdom of God but to others in parables; that seeing they might not see, and hearing they might not understand.
11 Now the parable is this The seed is the word of God.
12 Those by the way side are they that hear; then cometh the devil, and taketh away the word out of their hearts, lest they should believe and be saved.
13 They on the rock are they, which, when they hear, receive the word with joy; and these have no root, which for a while believe, and in time of temptation fall away.
14 And that which fell among thorns are they, which, when they have heard, go forth, and are choked with cares and riches and pleasures of this life, and bring no fruit to perfection.
15 But that on the good ground are they, which in an honest and good heart, having heard the word, keep it, and bring forth fruit with patience.
16 No man, when he hath lighted a candle, covereth it with a vessel, or putteth it under a bed; but setteth it on a candlestick, that they which enter in may see the light.
17 For nothing is secret, that shall not be made manifest; neither any thing hid, that shall not be known and come abroad.
18 Take heed therefore how ye hear for whosoever hath, to him shall be given; and whosoever hath not, from him shall be taken even that which he seemeth to have.
