Where does semen come from according to the Quran?

There has been a tendency to translate any drop that appear in the Qur'an and even any liquid as sperm. May be, may beone or some of thos instances might be sperm, but I would risk that many of those times thinking that it might be sperm is wishful thinking.
Just ignore the sperm translation and go from the original text without adscribing preconceived values or meanings.
The liquid mentionned in the 86.7 some forumer here hinted at it being the mothers blod that contributes to the formation of the embryo and fetus.

No, I do not know which translationyou have used, but the original Arabic says liquid ejected that from between the column and the ribs. Firs it is ejected (from the heart I take it) and then it goes out from in between the column and the ribs and goes to the womb.

It cant be blood, as the verse is about "create" while the blood thing is for development. A "human" is created when egg and sperm join, after that the egg travels to uterus where it attaches. From there it begins development, with blood needed.

Quran is not Anatomy textbook. We are proud when its content does not contradict science. Moreover, in early fetal life the place is correct.

I know it's not an anatomy textbook. But the verse is about a water that comes from between spine and testes. Anatomically, it's impossible if it's from between ribs and loin...But between spine and testes, it's correct. Read my previous post on difference on where sperm (not liquid) and semen (liquid) are formed and their location.

The previous verse says ''the fluid ejected'' (implying - from male penis) the following (867) is ''emerging from'' (implying from - seminal vesicle (between backbone ). Whatever comes from the seminal vesicle + the testcicle make up a sperm. The seminal vesicle makes up the 70% of semenal fluid (sperm). Note that in the translation, it is not between backbone and ribs but between backbone and testicles.
The verse could also talk about the initial stage of embryo. Because, the Quran always talks about different processes. For example, creation of man from water, dust, mud is not contradictory information, It jus talks about different stages of human development. Thus, even time is not taken into account. When the moon is split - talks as if it already happened but in reality it is the future.
Nevertheless, the testicles are located exactly in the abdomen (along with other organs), literally between the backbone and ribs of an embryo at initial stages of development. Only after few months the testicles ''come down'' to cool off forming male organ. It is because of testeserone.

The second peculiarity of this water is that it secrets-discharges from the location situated at the middle of the Loin , a location which is the central point of the Ribs .
