    Salam,

Let's say God admits you to His paradise, but your family (whether childhood family or adult family) are not admitted. How will it be?

Will those admitted to Paradise still have memory of them, yet be the happiest? This is hard to understand.

What does Quran say regarding this that I have missed?

    Salam

Doesn't Quran say that there are no family ties in the hereafter?

family ties belong to this life... hereafter life is obviously something else which no eyes have seen yet...

The you know somehow after reading the Quran it feels like this life is not that important at all, all the things we care and value for this life will not come to the next life. The only exceptions being our good deeds.

            Kinda depressing actually

              Peace be upon you,

I am of the perspective too, that all you have in the Hereafter from the Here, is you.

4245 and 666 and 4370 and many more. Family is the most important, except chosen ones sent by Him.

You may have memory of them. You will not make it into Heaven if you are emotional enough to miss them. And there is no fleshly paradise, you will be Ethereal.

Your former family members in the flesh will eventually be destroyed for failing unless they find a way later.

Why is life depressing? The detachment from the bodily is a relief once one makes it so and experience the positive effects.

You must see the world as a test environment, a benchmark and a place where you eventually graduate or fail the examination.

I used to ask this question to my Murabbi while I was 7 years old while he was explaining about paradise / jannah, it's river of wine, 72 virgins etc...
"Will there be any Lego in Paradise"?

Wine, 72 virgins. and no LEGO????. huh... not so pleasant world for 7 years old kid... a depressing world indeed..

rotfl ;D I would pay to see the look on his face.

The Murrabbi paused a bit and then asked "What is LEGO?"..
I answered "The bricks and we can build many things with it"..
He said; "Ah toys!! Of course there will be many toys in Jannah, you can have any toys that you want!! Including Lego..".

It spurred great excitement in the room, yeah give us toys!!
Who cares about virgins and wine right?? and then one after another

"How about cartoon? Is there any cartoon show in Jannah?"
"Disneyland!! Is there any disneyland in Jannah?"
"X Wing!! Can I have a real flying X Wing in Jannah?"
"Lightsaber!! I want to have a lightsaber in Jannah.."

And from the 'back section of the room'....
"Barbie Dolls!! Is there any Barbie in Jannah??"
