    Peace,

You may have heard Hadith advocates saying that, Muslims need Hadith for explaining things which Quran doesn't.Their favorite example is Salaat, where they say "Without the Hadith, How would You pray Salaat?, Because the Quran doesn't tell us How to!"

What would You say Brothers and Sisters?

    Peace

Firstly, you might want to point out the question assumes Quran is not detailed with regard to this point, and that there is a set format for what they call "prayer".

      Evidence please.

All information is correct to the best of my knowledge only and thus should not be taken as a fact. One should always seek knowledge and verify for themselves when possible: 17:36, 20:114, 35:28, 49:6, 58:11.

              Peace All.

You can ask all sorts of similar questions that are clear to mankind through other established means which GOD did not need to go into any more details than necessary, for example
Why if Qoran is saying eat,it does not explain how to eat?...etc
When Qoran wanted to change/amend... rules/rites...It gave details of well established things.
For example, at the time of Muhammed ,Salat"- The one you need to do 56 for- was well established through generations since GOD taught it to Abraham and His generation. GOD knew only the " preparation",timing and direction needed the detail.GOD made sure all the changes were clear through the messenger/s.
May I add the feel inside us to want to "pray" to GOD and prostrate/connect with Him is an instinct. Many people are ignoring their instinct through other priorities /distractions/illusions...life what is adorned to us by that "enemy" of GOD. Your dear friend and mine - if we are not careful/recognise- Adam s s best friend who led him out of God s kingdom into this "prison" place for a predetermined time.
The right question/s that we should be asking , after studying Qoran properly, is are, does the word salat always mean "connection prayer"?Or why does GOD give different instructions /changes certain rules to different generations? Did God name the "connection prayers" or given time windows?...
              My understanding brothers and sisters.
              GOD bless you.
              Peace.

The Quran's salat is different from hadiths.

                    Peace hansolo.
You perform it the way Abraham and the generations performed it ( Dedicated to GOD Alone). You can see billions of traditional Muslims ,thousands of Jews, hundreds of Christians perform this very "salat" taught to Abraham .

Every time "idolworship" gets in there ( human nature aided by GOD s enemies) .For example when we start to innovate and add our own concoction and include our idols in that "salat/connection" GOD responds by sending us clarification through messengers.
If in doubt, ask the people who "Outo Al Kitab /scripture " before you.
                    See ,very easy brother.
                    GOD bless you.
                    Peace.

                              Peace,

Good logic, I find if we look into the Quran alone on regard to the timing of salat the most logical explanation is that there are 2 times, dawn and dusk.

Other than that I do agree with you that salat was a well established practise, and it's meaning is clear in the context of the Quran.

                                  Peace Timotheus.
If only things were as simple as following "our logic". Interestingly, people argue about 0,2,3,and 5 salat, each claiming it is from Qoran. One thing for sure GOD does not name salat or clearly states any of the above numbers, but He clarifies His deen including salat by sending messengers. Now we can take it or leave it or follow "our logic".
I happen to follow the last messenger, after checking Qoran, and my "good logic" which tells me to follow "GOD s logic". i.e That His trial includes sending messengers to clarify .

One can argue about false or true messengers. Again there is a clear criteria in Qoran for that and it is up to each individual to use "The eyes, ears and brain" to find out.
According to my research/study of Qoran ,my messenger has come and clarified for me the "GOD Alone" path.
GOD s logic says to"hear and obey" GOD.
                                  Thank you for your post.
                                  GOD bless you.
                                  Peace.

                                    I believe in the messengers,
God mentions that he never sent a messenger except that Satan interfered with the message, I still think it is best to follow what the Quran says alone, that is how I understand the message, and Rashad said the same thing, whenever there is a contradiction, Quran should provide a clear understanding

Quranic is just to follow Allah which has no connection with any kinds of conventional prayers. As the Quran is complete and fully detailed so if was 5 times prayer its units and procedure would have been detailed in the Quran, especially if 5 times prayer was the pillar of Islam and if the very first question about offering prayer will be asked soon after death as mentioned in the hadith.

Yes, there was some hadits that explaining some of the act when shalat, but there was never completed and the fact is that is none hadits that explaining shalat from beginning to the end.
