so the cave story also a fake one . but quran is a message then why God will mention the cave where prophet got revelation.

when God tells the stories of previous prophets then he mention things in detail.

sister mahnoor you really dnt need to worry about the stuff regarding history ,

first of all when God revealed something , its in time and space, like moses recieved revelation on mountain,
some of them recieve in garden(adam)
some of them recieve in desert...
some of them recieved in caves ( including people of cave)

is it really matter where he recieved the scripture..?

chapter 53 is a hint how he actually recieved the scripture..it seems that people of that era were asking same questions from him...

geographically there is a cave named as hira somewhere in makka ,

the questions and issues(of history) outside the quran is really unable to verify ..
niether u can prove it nor you can denied it..

      salam to all.

      @imran khwaja,

when God sent previous scriptures he mention hints in those scriptures about coming prophets and messengers because on those eras there where no seal of the prophet hood, many prophets had been arrived and many has to come in future, so God prepared previous nations about coming prophets.

      like,

there r many prophecies, as muslims claims, are about prophet muhammad but i cannot confirm that they r really about him. but thing i can say that it is about prophet muhammad.

      John chapter 14 verse 16
"And I will pray the Father, and he shall give you another Comforter, that he may abide with you forever."

Gospel of John chapter 15 verse 26

"But when the Comforter is come, whom I will send unto you from the Father, even the Spirit of truth, which
proceedeth from the Father, he shall testify of me."

Gospel of John chapter 16 verse 7

"Nevertheless I tell you the truth; it is expedient for you that I go away for if I go not away, the Comforter will not
come unto you; but if I depart, I will send him unto you".

after jesus (pbuh) muhammd (pbuh) came and only he testify and glorify jesuus (pbuh) when Christians made stories about jesus's (pbuh) death and his affair with another mary.

Two other prophecy we can consider then about prophet muhammad (pbuh) are

Almighty God speaks to Moses in Book of Deuteronomy chapter 18 verse 18

"I will raise them up a Prophet from among their brethren, like unto thee, and I will put my words in his mouth; and he shall speak unto them all that I shall command him."

Gospel of John chapter 16 verse 12-14

"I have yet many things to say unto you, but ye cannot bear them now. Howbeit when he, the Spirit of truth is
come, he will guide you unto all truth for he shall not speak of himself; but whatsoever he shall hear, that shall he speak and he will shew you things to come. He shall glorify me"

It is mentioned in the book of Isaiah chapter 29 verse 12

"And the book is delivered to him that is not learned, saying, Read this, I pray thee and he saith, I am not learned."

When Archangel Gabrail commanded Muhammad (pbuh) by saying Iqra - "Read", he replied, "I am not learned".

      and in hindu scriptures

      https//www.al-islam.org/fr/node/40548

u can read it if u like.

i am mentioning one line from this article here

17 years after the first appearance in 1970, of my book, Pandit Vedaprakash Upadhyai, a Bengali Brahmin of Allahabad University, published his book 'Kalki Avatar'. In that book he declared that the description of the ?awaited? leader and guide Kalki Avatar, fits only to the Prophet Muhammad of Arabia. His views were endorsed by eight other eminent Pandits.

He mentions the Purans and gives its interpretation. We give here a gist of his descriptions

      1. Kalki Avatar will be the last Messenger of God, and will appear for the guidance of the whole world. (It is selfexplaining.)

      2. He will be born on an isle. (Arabia is surrounded on three sides by the sea.)

      3. His father's name is Vishnubhagat. (Vishnu = God; Bhagat = devotee or slave; Vishnubagat = Slave of God = 'Abdullah.)

      4. His mother's name is Sumaani. (Sumaani = Peace = Aminah.)

      5. His staple food will be dates and olives. (Exactly.)

      6. He will be the most honest and truthful person. (As-Sadiq al-Amin = the Prophet's well-known attributes.)

      7. He will be born in an honourable clan. (The Quraysh and especially the Bani Hashim were the most honourable tribe and clan.)

      8. God will teach him through His messenger in a cave. (The first revelation was brought to him by Jibra'il in the cave of Hira.)

      9. God will give him a very speedy horse to travel the whole world and the seven skies. (It indicates Buraq and Ascension?Mir'aj.)

      10. He will be an excellent horse-rider and swordsman. (No need to comment.)

and from QURAN, they are doing the same with muhammad (pbuh) what they did with moses(buh) when he came with PROOF what mentioned in previous scriptures they deny.

      1. And indeed We did send Musa (Moses) with Our Ayat (proofs, evidences, verses, lessons, signs, revelations, etc.) to Fir'aun (Pharaoh) and his chiefs (inviting them to Allah's Religion of Islam) He said "Verily, I am a Messenger of the Lord of the 'Alamin (mankind, jinns and all that exists)."

      2. But when he came to them with Our Ayat (proofs, evidences, verses, lessons, signs, revelations, etc.) behold! They laughed at them.

so we need to find out the AUTHENTICITY of those stories, its very important to answer them with logic and proof. and its our duty to spread true knowledge of Allah's true message.

      peace.

        salam and peace Cerberus,

it is believed prophet Muhammad was a good and honest person that also used to meditate in the cave of Hira until one day he received words from God.

regarding prayer, I believe it is the instant where you detach yourself from wanting/wishing/worrying and connect with God, whatever that is done, it is healthy as we get easily attached to our work and stuff by the moment we put our mind into it. So it is good to put your mind out of it every now and then.

*connect with God to connect with the emptiness, silence, nothing. I think D

thank you for your reply, your reply is according to what i asked otherwise i stuck in the question that is cave story real or false. thanks for your reply.

            Salam and peace,

            @reel.

Prophet is the one who get direct message from angel or direct talk to God. Do u get messages from angels? Or did u talk to God?

Saints also foretell things and events but this is what how our intuitions work. When we do ziker of Allah with our heart and soul we become psychic.

Follow the Quran and you will see what you wrote above is not limited to prophets. You have the same communication privilege.

But I don't think seeing real things in dreams has much connection to religion. When it all started I was a Sunni. The thing probably has something to do with sense, but yes, it is the worst torture ever because of the helplessness you will feel after seeing something gruesome.

its same like when adopted son get to know about his reality,

he does not want to accept it and he will struggle for a bit with new changing.. eventually he will accept it when a new understanding he found based on truth...

              a very famous saying

the truth did not exist, simply what we believe become truth for us

examples you can see everywhere..from religion to earth shape

its not a worthy of time to find authenticity from unauthentic sources of history...

you can debate them with possible manner of intelligence.. if debate is logical..

say them where he recieved the scripture does not really matter , we cant go back to time due to universal law..

yeh but what we have is a revelation , so lets talk about it what is present with us and then see where we are standing with that scripture..

the beauty of the scripture you can check by multiple tools , like literal excellency, scientific information, prophices that comes true.. poetry style that did not break the message.. and lot more things..

and then ask them to bring their proof comparing this revelation with other whatever books on the planet of earth...
                and see the difference...

i did not come across any book in my life that accepts the challenge of time..

some of them are not that old like 40 years ago the science books tells us sun and moon are not spinning in their own axis.. but now its different ... same go with history and prophecies...

the prophecy of pharoah itself is worth pondering ...

Are You sure Prophets and saints, who are humans, can see the future?

No one can see the future
