4057 The creation of the heavens and the earth is greater than the creation of the people, but most of the people do not know.

    Peace all peace

1744 He is glorified by the seven heavens and the earth and that which is in them, and there is not a thing except it glorifies His praise, but you do not comprehend their glorification. He is Compassionate, Forgiving

Have you ever noticed (of course you have) that many suras start exactly like this?

571 Glorifying God is everything in the heavens and the earth. He is the Noble, the Wise.

591 Glorifying God is everything in the heavens and the earth; and He is the Noble, the Wise.

611 Glorifying God is everything in the heavens and everything on the earth. And He is the Noble, the Wise.

621 Glorifying God is everything in the heavens and everything on the earth; the King, the Holy, the Noble, the Wise

641 Glorifying God is everything in the heavens and everything on the earth. To Him is all kingship, and to Him is all praise, and He is capable of all things

And the very same message is given in many other verses

2441 Do you not see that everything in the heavens and the earth glorifies God? Even the birds in formation, each knows its salat and its glorification. And God is fully aware of everything they do.

5924 He is God; the Creator, the Initiator, the Designer. To Him belong the most beautiful names. Glorifying Him is everything in the heavens and the earth. He is the Noble, the Wise

Because everything is actively glorifying God, living and inert materia.

556 And the stars and the trees postrate.

1744 He is glorified by the seven heavens and the earth and that which is in them, and there is not a thing except it glorifies His praise, but you do not comprehend their glorification. He is Compassionate, Forgiving

3818 We commissioned the mountains to glorify with him, at dusk and dawn.

1313 And the thunder glorifies His praise

Out of pride, vanity and arrogance, human being tends to believe he is the center of everything, the only ?believer?, the best God?s creature and/ or creation, given special treatment/place from the Lord of the worlds, the only one given guidance, wisdom, inspiration, message. We believe everything is out there for us.

Well... we are wrong, and Quran tells us so. God has a guidance and inspiration for every single element of His creation, animated or not, just like us

    God inspired bees
1668 And your Lord inspired/revealed (awha) to the bees "You shall take homes of the mountains and of the trees and of what they erect."

    God inspires the Earth
995 That your Lord had inspired /revealed (awha) her to do so

4112 Thus, He then made them into seven heavens in two days, and He inspired (awha) to every heaven its affair

Please note that the verb used is ?inspire/ reveal? (waw ha ya) and not ?command/order/establish?.

All creatures are just like us, and they will return to our Lord just like us

638 And there is not a creature on the earth, nor a bird that flies with its wings, except they belong to nations like you belong. We did not leave anything out of the record; then to their Lord they will be gathered.

We are not any kind of special extra granted virtue or bonus part of the creation Let?s say it in other words, every single creature and created thing has its own ?revelation?, its own ?way of submission?, salat, glorifying... As stated in Quran itself,

2441 Do you not see that everything in the heavens and the earth glorifies God? Even the birds in formation, each knows its salat and its glorification. And God is fully aware of everything they do.

4111 Then He settled to the heaven, while it was still smoke, and He said to it, and to the earth "Come willingly or unwillingly." They said "We come willingly."

Everything has a purpose and plays a role in God?s plan, just like us

3827 And We did not create the heaven and the earth, and everything between them, in vain. Such is the thinking of those who rejected

So let?s stop thinking for a moment that we are the center and purpose of the creation and that everything is there to serve us, enlarging and satisfying our egos. As human beings, also the rest of creatures/creation have their own revelations, inspirations, commands, etc. from the Lord of the worlds, and everything actively submits to God alone much better than we do,

383 Is it other than the system of God that they desire, when those in the heavens and the earth have submitted to Him voluntarily or by force? And to Him they will be returned

1315 And to God will prostrate all who are in the heavens and the earth, willingly and unwillingly, as do their shadows in the morning and the evening.

3372 We have offered the trust to the heavens and the earth, and the mountains, but they refused to bear it, and were fearful of it. But the human being accepted it; he was transgressing, ignorant.

God did not create the world exclusively for us

5510 And the earth He has made for all creatures

1519 And the land We have stretched, and placed stabilizers in it, and We have planted in it from everything in balance
1520 And We have made for you in it a habitat, and for those to whom you are not providers

Actually, the creation was there before Adam

230 And your Lord said to the angels "I am placing a khalifatan on the earth."

And everything on it might have been glorifying and submitting plenty to God in perfect balance, something which could explain the malaika's reaction to God?s plan

230 (?) "Will You place in it he who would make corruption in it, and spill blood; while we praise by Your glory, and exalt to You?" He said "I know what you do not know.

God will place on earth a creature who will fail to keep the balance, who will transgress and will corrupt His Creation. So the malaika wonder and ask, and of course, God knew that Iblis would refuse to prostrate to that ?khalifatan?.

It is actually a glorious moment In 230 God informs He is placing a khalifatan on earth. And precisely these God?s words are the force that initiates the process (malaika asking, Iblis rejecting) that will precisely place Adam on earth in 236!

236 So, the devil caused them to slip from it, and he brought them out from what they were in, and We said "Descend; for you are enemies to one another; and on the earth you will have residence and provisions until the appointed time?

In 230 Adam is not on Earth. From the moment God informs the malaika that He is placing a khalifatan on earth, the events that will place Adam on Earth start happening. Indeed, He knows what we do not know.

Now please remember Iblis?s menace and misleading includes changing/corrupting / abusing God?s creation and creatures

4 118 God has cursed him; and he said "I will take from Your servants a sizeable portion."
4119 "And I will misguide them and make them desire, and I will command them, so that they will mark the ears of the livestock, and I will command them so they will make changes to the creation of God." Whoever takes the devil as a supporter other than God, then he has indeed lost a great loss.

Did God commited nature to our service?

In 3120 and 4513 we read

3120 Did you not note that God has commissioned to you what is in the heavens and what is in the earth, and He has showered you with His blessings, both apparent and hidden?

But let?s read this verse in depth and the verb ?subjected? (sahkara) to understand. At the light of 5510 and many other verses stating that everything glorifies and submits to God and belongs to Him and that man was placed just as a khalifatan on earth until an appointed time, we can only read 3120 and similar verses bearing in mind that this subjection (?He subjected to you what is in the heavens and what is in the earth?) is not exactly a ?subjection?, but a natural order commanded/imposed by God, a Mercy from Him. For example

2236 And the plump livestock, We have made them for you to be among the symbols of God; you will have benefit in them. So remember the name of God upon them in succession; then, once their sides have become still, you may eat from them and feed with them the poor and the needy. It was thus that We have commissioned them for you, that you may be thankful.

This ?subjection? is not a "service", it is an order (for example in 4332 we can understand this root is about order and maybe collaboration), the natural order established by the Almighty for what we shall thank the Creator. It is also the capacity given, in natural order, to control/ use / behalf / interact / collaborate with nature

    About the animals we ride
4313 So that you may settle on their backs; then recall the blessing of your Lord once you have settled on them, and say "Glory to the One who has commissioned this for us, and we could not have done so by ourselves.

    About the sea
4512 God is the One who commissioned the sea to you, so that the ships can run in it by His command, and that you may seek of His provisions, and that you may be thankful.

This very same word is used for the birds, showing us this subjection is not a privilege of human being

1679 Have they not looked at the birds held/subjected in the atmosphere of the sky? No one holds them up except God. In that are signs for a people who believe

Do not transgress in the balance, do not spread corruption in the land

Let?s keep thinking that not everything is about us, and that when God talks about corruption He is not only talking about social injustice or depravity or whatever is traditionally understood as sin and corruption, always human being related. He is also telling us to not to abuse/change / corrupt His Creation, to respect the balance He set. Because God commands us to respect the balance He has set in His creation

557 And He raised the heaven and He established the balance
558 Do not transgress in the balance

2168 O people, eat from what is on the earth as good and permissible, and do not follow in the footsteps of the devil. He is to you a clear enemy.

564 and they seek to make corruption in the land; and God does not love the corrupters

785 And to Midyan, their brother Shu'ayb, he said "My people, serve God, you have no god besides Him. Clarity has come to you from your Lord, so give full/fulfill weight and measure/balance, and do not hold back from the people what belongs to them, and do not make corruption on the earth after it has been set right. That is better for you if you believe."

Fair leaders worked or counted on nature's collaboration

3836 So, We commissioned the wind to run by his command, raining gently where he directed it

3410 And We granted David blessings from Us "O mountains, echo with him, and the birds." And We softened the iron for him.

And unfair leaders and oppressors, corrupted people, were destroyed by natural forces

2940 We took each by his sins. Some of them We sent upon violent winds, some of them were taken by the scream, some of them We caused the earth to swallow, and some of them We drowned. God is not the One who wronged them; it is they who wronged themselves.

3041 Corruption has appeared in the land and the sea at the hands of the people by what they earn. He will make them taste some of what they have done, perhaps they will return.

We have been commanded to respecc, protect and not to transgress the balance in nature

2877 And seek with the provisions bestowed upon you by God the abode of the Hereafter, and do not forget your share in this world, and do good as God has done good to you. And do not seek corruption in the land. God does not love the corrupters.

6715 He is the One who made the earth subservient for you. So roam its paths, and eat from His provisions; and to Him is the final summoning

2563 And the servants of the Almighty who walk on the earth in humility and if the ignorant speak to them, they say "Peace."

6141 And He is the One who initiated gardens; both trellised and untrellised; and palm trees, and plants, all with different taste; and olives and pomegranates, comparable and not comparable. Eat from its fruit when it blossoms and give its due on the day of its harvest; and do not waste. He does not like the wasteful.

260 (?.) Eat and drink from the provisions of God, and do not roam the earth as corrupters.

The Creation is greater than us, in it there are ayati (signs, verses)

3190 In the creation of the heavens and the earth, and the difference between the night and the day, are signs for those who possess intelligence

10106 In the difference between the night and the day and what God has created in the heavens and the earth are signs for a people who are aware.

4153 And on the earth are signs for those who comprehend

5120 The creation of the heavens and the earth is greater than the creation of the people, but most of the people do not know.

    But human being?

3372 We have offered the trust to the heavens and the earth, and the mountains, but they refused to bear it, and were fearful of it. But the human being accepted it; he was transgressing, ignorant.

564 and they seek to make corruption in the land; and God does not love the corrupters

Respecting the Creation is inherent to the system of God

3030 So establish yourself to the system of monotheism. It is the inclination that God has nurtured the people on. There is no changing in the creation of God. Such is the pure system, but most of the people do not know

Nature is our home provisionally, it was created before us, it submits to God, it postrates and makes its salat, it carries out his will and his punishment, it collaborates with the just and destroys the unjust by His will. We are not even needed, it existed before us and we are a danger for it

4119 "And I will misguide them and make them desire, and I will command them, so that they will mark the ears of the livestock, and I will command them so they will make changes to the creation of God." Whoever takes the devil as a supporter other than God, then he has indeed lost a great loss.

4119 "And I will misguide them and make them desire, and I will command them, so that they will mark the ears of the livestock, and I will command them so they will make changes to the creation of God." Whoever takes the devil as a supporter other than God, then he has indeed lost a great loss.

        Man and the Universe

Why is the Universe the way it is?

        Introduction

        1. Where did the universe come from?

        2. Why did it begin? What was the purpose of its creation?

        3. How did it begin?

        4. Will it come to an end? And if so, how?

        Man and the Universe

230 is talking about those who were already on earth, but they were savage and without IQ. The verse makes it clear that the angels can't predict the future with He said "I know what you do not know.

It seems they were stunned by God's decision to put a bunch of savages in leadership position on earth.

Adam wasn't the first human. He was the first civilized human.

            Peace,

I have been checking the verses afterwards and indeed there is no hint the hkalifatan is Adam, whose name appears later. But in the very same line of logic we should be careful and not to think the khalifatan is human being either, such a thing is not explicity expressed.

So we are understanding wrongly the meaning of "khalifatan" or we are supposing things as the angels could have done, or the angels understood perfectly the meaning of khalifatan and so their opposition (that is the reason why i did not translate khalifat)

Oh no, not you. It is me who came to sense after focusing on those verses.
