    The aresystematically translated as Sinai.

I as not looking for anything like that, just sa it as I was studyng something else. The thing is that I am bothered by the fact that many things are taken for granted and certain, when in fact they are not granted and certain. If at least that was said so. Sometimes there seems to be a scam behind the undestanding and translation of Qur'an.

Of course de the basic things are clear, I mean those that should guide us in our behaviour. But other "lesser" things are not unimportant because they condition a lot. The many small things that mke us believe we live in a certain world, which may be is not that world or not that certain.

Why should something be stated as if it was known if it is not known?

    Salaam

there is one mention that is translated as mount sinai in 23.20,

      mount sainaa'

Then tehre is another mentionedequally translated in 95.2

      Mount siniin

What is the explanation for that? The difference is notorious.

      Salaam

At both places it is the second element of Possessive Phrase and at both places its first element is the same word. Thereby, it is obviously the same proper noun spelled differently,

      http//haqeeqat.pk/English%20Tafsir%20e%20Haqeeqat/00.Arabic%20Text/023.%20Al%20Momenoon/23.20PP.gif
      And Our Majesty produced a fruit-bearing tree, it springs forth in some area of the long stretching parallel rock of the Peninsula of Sinai;

      http//haqeeqat.pk/English%20Tafsir%20e%20Haqeeqat/00.Arabic%20Text/095.%20At%20Teen/95.2.gif

      And by the long stretching parallel rock of the Peninsula of Sinai;

In both the places the first noun is NOT proper noun since a proper noun is never first noun in construct. First noun of Possessive Phrase draws definiteness from the second noun if it is proper noun or definite by article.

Why different spelling, it might need study of rules of I'laal of nouns in Arabic which is defined as ?a change that occurs with vowel letters where they can be deleted or
substituted by another letter in certain cases?.

Some expert in morphology/etymology may help to find relevant rule of change of hamza preceeded by alif. He can enlighten us on this aspect also "Morphological processes that take place in some languages are sometimes phonologically conditioned. In other words,
choosing an allomorph to represent a particular morpheme in a certain context relies on the phonological properties of that allomorph"

I can't see anything obvious about it.

For this we need to rebut its reason given.

Hi huruf, I believe that this video partly answers your question, as according to it, mount siniin is mount senyin, a mountain in ethiopia.

            https//www.youtube.com/watch?v=82a0tj_rOmU

            mentioned around 702

That mount in Ethiopia at least has de same name as that in the Qur'an.

I am not even sure that Tur saina' is Sinai. Again too much differnece and too much diference with siniin.

But that is not with Tur; and Tur is on the side of Gulf of Suez. And that area is Peninsula of Sinai.

You annot be serious about this.

It is obvious sintactically this Tur cannot be the city or town to which the trees belong, but a common name like mount Everest or river amazone.

Tur, common name, there are all over the world, mount Sainaa' could be anyhere, and mouny siniin could be anywhere.

I just don't get this compulsion to make the Qur'an fit into the straight jacket of bible most of the time convenient conventions.

You are intepreting the Bible not the Qur'an. The bible is hadith. There may be truth in it but the fact that it is in the bible it is no guaranty that it is verified nor truth.

To me it is competely if not useless, although many times it is, inconclusive. In this case it is thorough sidetracking manoeuvre.

You explanation is good for bible hadith believers, not for Qur'an convinced.

Bible does not say this. Hadith also does not say what I have said quoting Qur'aan.

That is what I am saying that they are different. What it seems to you is your business the thing is that you make Qur'an subservient to the bible hadith and bisedes quoting bible you have no proof neither fromt he Qur'an nor from other sources, except bible hadith.

This is just palaver. You have not substantiated. I am just quoting you the Arabic words and phrases.

You read senao and sineena without caring for the first noun of phrase. Then you see not the map of globe which shows At-Tur only in the peninsula of Sinai.

You defeat yourself. Again Tur is a common name, Tur there are all over the world. The proper name is sainaa' in one place siniin in another.

The text is not speaking about a town or a city but about a mount.

But you want to have it your way, good luck to you.

Dear perhaps you forgot that in possessive phrases the first noun is always indefinite because it derives its definiteness from the second noun. If second noun is proper noun then the first noun is also definite - At-Tur.

You will not find in the whole of globe At-Tur except in peninsula of Sinai. Try searching Goggle map.

Of ocurse it is definite but not bevause it is the proper noun of a town or city but because the primer name after it makes definite. Mount Washington, mount is deinite, ut it is a common name, the name of the mount is Washington and the fact that there is a name of a ton somethere int he world hich has mount in its name does not make it the mount.

And I will not discuss this any further. Do you want to be right and me wrong? Help yourself.
