Greetings - I am VERY new

I just registered today.
I have been raised a sunni & have now began reading the Quran & turning slowly into a Quranic only believer.
Unfortunately my family members & friends have labelled & shunned me.
They called me a kafeer.
I am just seeking solace from friends out there sharing the same fate.
At least I do not feel alone.**** I have repeatedly tried getting in touch with Zakaria - the so called Spore coordinator but
I am not getting any reply from him.Can somebody just talk to me?

I'm sorry to hear about the difficulties you've had with your family and friends Can I ask you why you have turned to a 'quranic only'position. Was it rejection of hadith or something in quran or in the culture of sunnism??
anyway, may Allah bless and guide your progress in his deen

And welcome to the forum. ) All I can tell you is, we've almost all been on the same 'boat' as you. Take comfort in God and keep HIM in rememberance. Be patient and steadfast. I know it's easier said than done, but that's what we have to go through.

I observed what I have been taught & though times I felt that being a sunni lady is suppressing - i just followed as i feared the wrath of Allah accd. to the sunni beliefs.
I was then introduced to code 19 here again I was not comfortable with the understanding of 19. Although the 19 believers are so welcoming - I still felt that there were loopholes here & there.
Incidentally, Singapore is an island near Malaysia & Indonesia. -

Welcome to the boards. Yea I'm kind of in the same situation. I was raised in a sunni family and but I abandoned Sunnism about 2 years ago. I discussed it with my parents and they weren't particularly happy but they didn't shun me or label me. They think I am confused and misinformed. But thats ok, I don't think they will ever understand me, so I backed off. To me my way and to they theirs. I still love my parents and my whole family so I don't want to be forceful and strain the things. I guess in my case its not so hard because I don't live at home. Do you live at home?

But the truth will prevail. God willing they will also one day find the truth.
I love my family too & though conflict of understanding - they will always be in my heart.
Whatever is happening now is a test from God. -

There is no such a thing as a ritual prayer. But when reading thru "The Message" contact method is mentioned countless times.
What is "contact method" in this context?You are correct there is no such thing as 'ritual prayer'. But who said Salat was a 'ritual prayer'?
Prayer is allowed to be done as and when you need it...No restrictions, no time, no method.
Salat on the other hand is a very detailed procedure involving a call, ablution, state of mind, and specific timings.
The two are not the same.
Also, I have mentioned on several occasions that Salat has been decreed for the 'Mumineen', and that 'Mumineen' is a higher state of submission that simply a 'Muslim'.

And i'm in Pahang, down south close to the Endau-Rompin area. Not exactly a stone's throw away, but close by. Welcome to the forum. Unlike you, i don't have the guts yet to inform my family members about my belief which i have kept under wraps the past 5 years. In all those years i have managed to meet up with only one like-minded soul who, perchance, happened to share the same sporting interest as I do - we are avid golfers.

How have the God alone system changed me?
I am more at peace now. Whatever comes I take it as from God. The good things & bad things in life are a test from God.
I am more appreciative of life & always thank God for all the things that I have been bestowed. Whether it is small or big. In sickness & happiness I thank God.
I may not be as rich as the girl next door but hey I am still breathing & I am at my peak of health... So why should I complain?
The smirks that people around gave me only shows their ignorance.
Although I do not go around preaching or telling the world that I no longer believe in the hadiths but I always try to make them understand or try to understand why they are so unresponsive towards the system that I believe in.
I never mock others or put anyone down and I try to be as humble as possible.
Sometimes I miss those times when we will all wake up real early in the morning to rush to the stadium to do our Eid's prayers. But it is slipping away now.
Salam & I pray all the best to all the brothers/sisters in the same boat.
We may not have friends or relatives around but we have the essence of God around us & that is the best that anyone can ask for.

I hate it when people start to judge when the don't know what they dont know/understand what they are judging.
