Meditation

Salam someone, there is someone on this forum that shares your view. check out the "created from mud" thread in the science section (last page by the way).
As for me, im still confused as to what ruh is. If what your saying is true, idolfree, then isnt it also true that we get energy to live and move through the food we eat? is food what gives existence to the ruh?

Peace be upon you Someone,
I wouldnt put it that way. The "ruh" is just energy. Animals have energy too. So do plants and even minerals.

Peace be upon you Pheonix1,

Absolutely!! We get it from eating food, breathing air, etc.
is food what gives existence to the ruh?
No, the energy in the food is "ruh". The "ruh" is what moves things.
The ancient Kemau called it "Ra", but foolish egyptologists say it means "sun god", NO NO NO! They could not understand the teachings. It refers to the solar energy (tears of the sun) from which all things eminate, and why many cultures did indeed wrongly worship the sun.
"Qi(chi) is the word which encompasses the meaning of all vital activities and substances in the human body. It is a the "Life Force" of all living things as well as representative of all energy within the universe. It is a word which is not fully understood by the Western mind and therefore it is not always accepted as existing. However, more importantly than dwelling on its definition, it is important to understand Qi through its function, as Qi is the foundation of Oriental Medicine."

Peace be upon you,
so wouldnt it be true that the more food you eat, the more chi you would have. if not, how does the "chi level" go up?
The chinese have developed a system called Qi Gong(life force cultivation) which you can do to raise the levels. There is a medical instrument called an "E.M.I." (electronic meridian imaging) that can measure your chi level.
Most importantly, you must reamin at PEACE, when you become emotional (sad, fearful, angry, etc), you waste your chi, as well as when you orgasm, so we should be chaste and not be excessive even with our spouses. When we conserve our chi, it will be the FORCE that goes out and brings to you the people and things you need to succeed in life.
May the FORCE be with you wink

Someone who was still a fool contributed this
Mind is like bubbles in the river or a fish struggling to get air on the dry ground, or a monkey that jumps from one tree to another, or a sleazy politician trying to persuade you to vote for him or trust him, or a magician's trick that awed you, the lightning strike on the dark night...
It is empty really, even self-less. It is only a process of becoming and dis-becoming, endlessly grasping and searching.
Meditation is to quiet mind, to make us able to analyze it more clearly, educating our soul about the nature of its persuasion and lies. Once, it had passed and our soul become more educated, the mind which was poison turned into our ally (the key to enlightment)!Like mallable metal that once was sword and now turned into a hoe useful for daily life, mind can be trained once we diligently educated our soul.
Once the mind is our ally, the wisdom will come. That is the Path of God spoken in various scriptures, the all-natural and spontaneous state of possible enlightment through meditation and prayers.Salam,

Come now Rhadamanthus I see you have this self-depreciating way of contributing things. Please there is no need for self-abasement here -)
Humility is good but self-depreciation is bad - let go of this attachement to this kind of "guilt" trap and stand up as a dignified if somewhat humble human being wink

Peace be upon you idontknow,
I am not sure what else wastes "ruh" (chi). I will research to see what else I can find.
