Quran and its followers- a different perception by others

hi M_Mehdi, good to know u like the thread.
say for eg, there's a person who doesnt know english and he ends up learning from some source that the word 'fame' means 'a bird'. would u, who knows the language, correct him or not? the guy is just ignorant. wouldnt u tell him, what the word's correct meaning is?
i hope u get what i mean, by this stupid and silly example?

looks like i have not made myself clear with the example.what i meant anyways, was if sumone misunderstands sumthing to be true, wouldnt it be necessary for people who understand/know the right thing to tell him?
if there are nonmuslims who spread wrong meanings of Quran, shouldnt that be curtailed? coz if one doesnt, there are gonna be loads of ignorant people reading and relying on it, considering it true, and believing the false message.

This is solely my opinion. Even if the person knowledgeable of the true meaning of the word explains to the one who has misunderstood it, the one who misunderstood would generally have difficulty grasping it. Especially, in the case if the misunderstood person has the conceptualized and generalized thought of Islam and Quran. He may question you instead and ask what makes you think that you're right and the majority is wrong. Even if you convince him that following the majority need not be right, he may not agree with you.
This is because of him being ignorant and choosing to believe what he has come to believe. This is what is happening in reality. People have come to believe the majority opinion of Islam. "Muslims" and non-Muslims alike. If the person is willing to listen to alternate view(s), then proceed to explain to him further and correct his wrong understanding. If he is unwilling, then let him be. It is almost impossible to convince one who is blinded and has his heart sealed. Looking forward to your comments. Thank you.

why is Quran so widely misunderstood by others? Is it becoz we (supposedly called its followers, the muslims) fail to live by it, in reality and yet claim to or do we not speak out loud enough?

What I am trying to say is that what may be blue to you, might be green to me and vice versa. Becoz i cant see it through 'your eyes'. So all along while something is blue to you, it might be green to me. Its complex. I dont know how to explain it.

Thank you for the welcome. The point in hand that you were referring to and I was giving my opinion was related to the people's perception of Islam and the Quran, right? Do correct me if I'm wrong. I'm going to assume my position here and say that based on that understanding, is it not an easy matter to prove these issues. Yes, facts will be facts to people who are aware of them. What is truth to you in religious issues need not be truth to someone of a different belief no matter how hard you try to justify your claim. Looking forward to your comments. Peace!

the opinion on Quran, to be exact, not necessarily on Islam.
There has been some really absurd translations and commentaries of Quran, which are in circulation and which end up spreading a very wrong message.
