      Salaamun alaikum all,

Kashif Ahmed Shehzada (imo, the best scholar of al-quraan in the world) once said LIFE is the tafseer of al-quraan.

I'd also like to say that all information gives tafseel (detailling) to al-quraan. I was very much into the study of socialism some years ago and found that the questions it raised was already answered by al-quraan.

These 'tafseer literature' can offer no more that stimulus to a deeper understanding of al-quraan. And Wakas is right, Asad's pretty decent in places.

        Salam mquran,

I'd also like to say that all information gives tafseel (detailling) to al-quraan. I was very much into the study of socialism some years ago and found that the questions it raised was already answered by al-quraan.

Can you explain that a little further? This is very interesting. Quran says that we're not all the same
        21. See how We have preferred some of them over the others; and in the Hereafter are greater levels, and greater preference.

        1. God puts forth the example of a slave who is owned and cannot achieve anything, against one whom We have provided a good provision which he spends of it secretly and openly. Are they the same? God be praised, but most of them do not know.
        2. And God puts forth the example of two men, one of them is mute and he cannot achieve anything, and he is a burden to his guardian. Wherever he points him, he does not come with any good. Is he the same as one who orders good and he is upon a straight path?

Where or how are the questions raised in Socialism answered in the Quran?

        Salams

Where or how are the questions raised in Socialism answered in the Quran?

Sure. Socialism is about the central administration of the state in the factors of production as well as the distribution.

So here we need to ask, does such a system work?

Al-quraan never mentions a 'state' (arabic ad-dawlah). It rather mentions an 'ummah' (which I take to be rooted in 'umm' and thus inherit an umm's functions). It deals with the evolution of the individual as opposed to socialism which eschews individualism.

Al-quraan does share some goals with socialism though, but its method is about producing a group of individuals who will be the facilitators of this state of being.

That's all i got off the top of my head now, im afraid.

            Salaam AB,

well I will not make you disappointed but who have said alcohol is forbidden?

God point out in Quran that there are both negative and positive effects in both alcohol and hazard games.

            Peace Sis Maria

              Hello sister

no I'm not diappointed, beacuse every human carry the onus of the self on the own neck

yes I agree that the Quran stated that there is lil benifit to those two but the same verse stated that its harm is far more than its benifit and consequently it is forbidden and we should not come near it

I used to gamble and I used to frink over 16 years ago, I relaized the lil good in it but I have also seen the huge harm in those two acts so both has topped for me and been classified as very bad to come near it

              peace be with you
