my aunt was possessed by a jinn ,we all thought she is sick and badly needs a doctor ,anyway so dis is how the incident goes, one of my aunts frend goes to visit my aunt on the way she meets of her other frend and startes talking to her ,and when finally she reaches my aunts place , my aunt starts scolding her she tells" u think i am ur servent dat i keep waitinf for u here n u start chatting wid other pple on ur way "
now the question is how did my aunt know dat her frend was talkin to someone on the way ?how? my aunt was all the time at homehere is another incident my sister was stayin in india for her studies n evrynite in her room she would here banging sounds as if there is some work goin in the above apartment ,she couldnt sleep well the whole nite n next morning she yells at the watchman dat sometime u choose to do work on the apartment above mine , the watchman becomes shocked he tells my sister u think i am crazy to do work at nite on the apartment?
the samthing went on for very long ,it used to be evrynite, dat ma sister got used to it , n sometimes durin her exams when she would study over nite she would yelldat " pls stop makin noises i have to study for ma exams" n surprisingly the noises would stop now dats some understanding jinn i guess Di have heard many such stories from almost all the members of my family and

i am not so sure if Allah tells in quran abt jinns possessing humans
but i think in surat al naaz and surat al falaz we are prayinG to Allah to keep us away from jinns i am not so sure i am just assuming becoz in surat al falaq we r praying to Allah to keep us away from all

You may think me pedantic for this one but what does it mean to have a 'firm rooting in the sciences' ?
Freud is now being accused for transposing his assumptions from the Talmud. If you want, i'll quote you the book, it's in my library somewhere. I actually saw paralell quotes.

"Sagt" means "says" in German. I was using the German msn thats why. Please note from the above conversation that ive actually seen two jinn like creatures ALONG WITH MY MOTHER. She too saw them and they FIT EXACTLY THE DESCRIPTION WE FIND FROM DIFFERENT PEOPLE ALL OVER THE WORLD i.e. COMPLETELY WHITE AND SHINING WITH HUMAN LIKE SHAPE. Hoever i saw neither eyes nor mouth on their faces and they did not emit any smoke. Thus they were similar to the Quranic description of smokeless fire which can glow white or yellow or any other color depending on the substance. We know that from chemistry for sure. So taking all these points together can this be coincidence? Were we both dreaming? Did we see a projection(Hamelin at that time wasnt much developed and projection technology of this kind was uncommon in 1988 in such a small city/town)? Thus i conclude that they were real and the Quran supports it. GOD Bless! -

After they recite the shadah in Arabic, they recite it in Malay. Then he said to her (or the Jin) that he (the Jin) is already accepting Islam and ask the Jin if he want to change his name (who is Idrus) to a Muslim name. The Jin still want his name as Idrus. Then he told the Jin that he (the Jin) should not disturb anybody or any human because he is already a Muslim.

I personally believe we're playing about with words here. Ghosts are Jinns and not some different entity. They are described as Jinn(hidden) in the Quran so in the West what we call Ghosts are really Jinns.
Believing in Jinns does not make one backward or medieval as I guess most materialistic people believe. I'm sure science one day will discover the world of Jinn or maybe never will and we will just cross paths throughout our life like we have been doing knowingly or unknowingly.

Well whilst we are on the subject of Jinns I might aswell give you my understanding of this. Now before I begin my understanding comes from the Quran and understanding of Islam.
Jinns exist as humans do. In the quran it states humans are made from soil and will return to soil when they pass away. However Jinns are made from Fire. Jinns can see us but we cannot see them. In the world after after death, we will be able to see Jinns but we will not be able to see them.
Now I have heard stories that Jinns can come in forms of humans and they can show themselves, this do be honest I am not sure about, it may be possible.
Like the human race we have Muslims, Christians, Jews, Monks, hindus etc... The Jinn population is the same as they have all these religions and way of living. The main difference is Jinns are 10 fold of the human race (10 x the human race). So for every 1 human there are 10 Jinns.
As far as it goes as a Jinn being able to take over a human body, this is apparantly so, and they do have the power do to that. It is also said a Jinn will be judged as will humans on the day of judgement.
As humans there are good jinns and bad jinns and evil jinns.
Why I know so much about jinns, where I come from, I know of a Imam who teaches Jinns to read the Quran. Jinns obey there teacher and have great respect for them more than as humans. I have seen the nice element of Jinns and the good side.
We have all heard bad stories but I cannot confirm these are true, but like humans if Jinns can do good then they will be capable of doing bad. In islam I am pretty sure put not positive so you will have to check the following quote up, Jinns and humans are races that have been given freedom to think and act as they wish, but are responsible for the actions and will be judged on the day of judgement.
The stories I have heard of Jinns are from people it has happened to personally, or who have been there when it happened. Some of these stories are scary but seem to be true.
I do have some stories that I can verify that are true, and if you people wish I can happily share these with you, just say the word, otherwise I think I must have bored you already.

Well I will tell you 1 of the stories now, and the others later. These are facts as these people they have happened to are very close.
As I explained in the previous article, there are many types of Jinns as humans, good, bad, evil etc... Depending on the nature of the Jinn dictates where they are. Example - Evil Jinns will mainly be found in very rural areas where a lack of human existence exists (Jungles etc..). If you disturb them they dont like it then you can expect to be in trouble. You can trouble these without knowing.
This is a story of my childhood friends cousin. His Cousin had a friend whos sister had a jinn in her. Why Jinns mainy target women is because of attraction, a male Jinn falling for a human woman.
They called a Imam to the house, and this Imam was very powerful. He looked at the girl and commanded the boys to get real fresh meat. They got the meat and handed it to the Imam, it was a very large leg I was told with blood still fresh on it. The Imam then got papers and he had wrote some Ayats from the Quran on these. He went to the Girl and read some Ayats from the Quran and the Jinn went from the girl to the leg of meat. The Imam quickly wrapped the papers around the meat and put this in a black bin liner and tied it up.
The Imam then asked the boys to go and bury this. The Imam quickly changed his mind and said no I will go with you. They purchased some items on the way so they could cement the Jinn in the ground. They took the Jinn to the moors, dug a large hole and buried it. They soiled it first, cement in the middle and soiled it over the top. They had dismantled a wall where they buried the Jinn and they re-built the wall over the spot.
After Dusk until dawn if you reach near the area, take into the account these moors are huge, stretch for many miles, you can hear the Jinn Screaming but as you near the spot the screaming fades away so you cannot tell where the spot actually is. The Boys who went with the Imam say it will be virtually impossible for them to remember the spot, they have vague idea.
The Imam had buried the Jinn as he had clearly stated this was a very powerful Jinn, if he would to come free he would hate to mention what he could do and he was very dangerous. This is the reason this Jinn must never be set free.
Now I dont know how much truth is in this story, but it is very entertaining to say the least. Coming from the source it has I would say some truth would be in it, but probably exagerated to some extent too.

JK- I could have guessed that. Same goes for the humans. Youll find the most ignorant and violent humans in the villages and rural areas because of their lack of education. They need not be really bad but just tgend to handle things more "tarzan like". The same principal may possibly also apply to the Jinn.
Reharding male Jinn being attracted to human women. This sounds very strange for me since the two creatures have nothing in common. It would thus have to be easier for a male human to get attracted to a female animal than a male jinn to a human. Or does this attraction only happen when a Jinn assumes human form? It would be interesting to study the biological system of Jinn to find out more but in order to do so a Jinn must have to volunteer. GOD Bless! -

This took place in Saudi Arabia when I was around 5 and my sister 6. It was night, and we had been sleeping. My mom works nights, so we had our nanny/relative there to babysit us while she was gone. We dont know how we got up (we both slept in the same bed) but we did, and went over to the balcony (we don't know how/why we decided to do that). We both, and I mean BOTH, saw the same thing. A glowing figure..shinning outline of human-like object, with flowing garment (my sister is doubtful about this particular fact) floating beside the highrise in front of our building. That's about all we can remember. We bring it up every once in awhile when talking about Jinns, but we both have pretty much the same memory of this particular event. I can still recall it now..it was one of those things you can never forget. No one believes us. But we saw what we saw.

I've had an experience like this too. I was about 7 or 8 I don't really remember, and this is what happened
I was in Karachi at our family home. It was late at night (of course). I decided to go up to the roof to get my F-14. My younger cousin decided to join me. When I got up there, I started playing with it. And then I saw it. It was a spherical figure, rising above the horizon, very much like a rising sun. Except it was red. And larger. And the sky was still dark. I still wonder if that was just a dream, but I've asked him several times and he says he saw the same thing. Maybe he's just messing with me.

Slightly off-topic Deena, your story reminded me of an event in the news a while back. A Sri Lankan maid employed in Lebanon hung herself off the balcony of her employer's home. Your description of a glowing figure "floating beside" the building brought her to mind because her death pictures show her wearing white and she appears to be "floating" near the building (although at the end of a makeshift noose.)
One could imagine that in KSA, a maid might be even more suicidal...
(Not that this is what you saw.)

It could have been. But it was floating. It was GLOWING. I'm talking about emitting light ..like the moon. and It was not attached to something. the clothing wasn't glowing per se..but the light was around the entire outlining of the "body". It's weird explaining it. And I have to admit I was VERY young at the time, but this image will forever be in my head.

salam since everyone is talking about jinn, may i put my 2 bits in,
first of all, i would like to say that i was in lebanon when that maid supposedly committed suicide but she was not the only incident at the time, there were 8 all together that were found dead.anyway back to jinn the only way to put this really is to simply say it. i am possessed by a male jinn, and i have been possessed for many many years, and even though ive always known inside that the strange things that happened to me over the years ,i really knew nothing of jin to confirm it.......until last april.
my story is long and i will need time to write it as today is to late.but i assure you will enjoy it very much. but unlike myself there was nothing joyous about it for me . it was all pain and suffering until i learned how to control him . i will post it next week inshallah
